Next time on the Unbelievable Goblin...

"You might want to sit down for this... Peter." The lenses of his mask widen for a second before narrowing. (You better have a good reason for this, Jonny.) My other self almost begs.

"How do you know that name Jon?" Peter's voice is stern for a damn good reason. "What do you know about alternate realities? Universes and dimensions?" The head of the Spider tilts right.

"What does that have to do with this? You're not from this universe?" He asks in disbelief. I consider telling him about my world. A world where this one is just the product of fiction. But would he believe me? Would he become cautious of me because of the fact that he isn't real where I was born? Would this be a grave mistake?

(YES, FOOL!) My eyes look up to meet his white 'eyes'. "Yeah... I'm not from here. Growing up, you were my favorite out of all the heroes that protected us. I wanted to be like you." I inhale, stopping the story for a moment.

"Peter Parker was an inspiration... an icon. I never got the chance to meet him." Spider-Man taps his foot a couple of times. "'Was'? Did something happen to me?" (You can salvage this mess! Lie to him.) Goblin seemed to have a good idea. But now is no time to talk to myself.

"There was a fight between you and the Green Goblin. After the other members of the Sinister Six were beaten, the Goblin decided to pull an ace out of his boot." I 'reveal' to him. This gets him to take a step forward.

"What did he do, Jon?" Remembering the death of Ultimate Spider-Man and some other events, I form the next part of my lie. "He put on that Carnage guy's suit." Inspiration from the Red Goblin event could save my ass if I weave the tale properly.

I turn around in an attempt to feign sorrow. "I was watching on the news broadcast. Flames didn't affect him. If anything he could make his own fire. You put up a hell of a fight. But you got stabbed in the stomach. He took his time torturing you."

I turn, narrowing my eyes. "He unmasked you. The city learned that Spider-Man was Peter Parker. The new Venom, Anti-Venom was too late to save you." The wind blew past the two men, silence reigning over the area for a while.

"I died..." The hero spoke in a low voice. "You did. The other heroes managed to beat him, avenging you. The Carnage thing was incinerated by the Human Torch. My world came crashing down... And now, somehow, I've been transported to this world."

"So, there's a new Goblin in town?" A man with short reddish hair mused, reading the newspaper. He sat in a chair, left leg crossed over his right, with interest in his blue eyes. "One of my labs being destroyed, everything gone, and all of a sudden this upstart appears?" He speaks to himself, with a hint of rage underneath his tone. The formula that he refined was gone. The more he thought about it, it couldn't be a coincidence.

The city had a new 'protector'. One made from things that were stolen from him. HIM.

He folded the newspaper and set it on the table to his left. His hand reached into his pocket, grabbing a phone. "In time, this 'Blue Goblin' will regret stealing from me." He scrolled down to a contact on his device.

Octavius.

Coming soon(?).

A little peak at what's to come. How do you think this chapter will turn out? Some may not like the Blue Goblin revealing his knowledge of Peter's identity or his 'story'. Truth be told, I'm trying to write this story in a decent way. A way that not only you the reader may like, but also a way I would like.

Will there be consequences for this fabricated 'explanation'? You'll just have to wait and see.
