"Mom, do we have to travel by sea to Helsinki to visit Dad and Sister?"

"I don't see the problem. Besides, you should enjoy the scenery, Eino."

Eino looks away. The mother sighs. "Listen son. You need to get out of the house more."

"Fine." Eino looks at the water and the ship they're gonna board.

The ship's horns sound and it starts moving. Eino leans against the railings and sighs. He looks at the grey clouds in the sky. "Hmm..."

His mother looks at him from a distance. I hope doesn't do anything that would cause trouble she thought.

Location: Helsinki, Finland, Europe

After the ship has docked, Eino and his mother leave it and are met by a man and a young woman. The man smiles. "Glad for you two to join us." The young woman goes to hug the mother and Eino. "Now we can together again."

"That's right."

But only for a couple of days Eino thought.

The young woman looks to Eino and smiles. "It's good to see you out of the house, little brother."

"I'm not little, I'm the same size as you."

"Not really."

"Hm."

Eino smiles a little. "So where are we going, Dad?"

His dad smiles. "Well first, we're going to the house so you can drop off your stuff and rest for a bit. After that, we'll visit some museums. So, shall we leave?"

Eino and his mother nod.

Once they reach the house, which is light brown with a white roof and is two-stories, the four bring out Eino's and his mother's bags. "Eino, while you're here, you are going to socialize."

"Okay then."

They walk inside the house and Eino sees a hallway on his left and a stairway on the right. "Your room is upstairs, Eino."

Eino walks up the stairs and looks to his left. There are three doors: one at the end of the hallway and two on the sides that are across from each other. "Which door?"

"The one on your left." "Okay."

Eino looks to his right to the other end of the hall and sees another set of three doors. I'm guessing the door at that end is to the bathroom and the one on right is for Mom and Dad's room. What's behind of the left door? I'll figure out my guesses later the boy thought.

He goes to his room and opens the door. He sees a bed with the blanket having a plane imprinted on it. He looks at the pillow that has "E.L.B." on it. He looks to the nightstand and sees a model plane. He notices a desk that has two model planes on each end.

Eino sets his stuff down next to the door. He turns and walks out of his room. He closes the door and sees ELB on the door. "Didn't even notice that." He looks at the three doors at the end of the hallway. "I think I might explore a bit. I'm sure they won't mind."

He walks to the other side. Just as he passes the stairs, the house starts shaking. He grabs the railings and holds them tightly. He can hear the ruckus downstairs. His mom yelped in surprise, his dad yelling for the two to hold on, and his sister saying she's going to check upstairs.

He sees his sister leaning against the wall while walking. Crying is heard nearby. Eino looks around. "What's with the crying?"

The sister almost stumbles while walking up the stairs. "Are you alright, Eino?" "I'm fine but why is there crying?"

"I'll show you."

The two get down and slowly make their way towards the door on left.

The sister opens the door and are greeted by a woman holding a little girl who is sitting on her lap. "Don't cry, Aleksandra. Don't cry. Everything is going to be okay." The woman sees the sister and Eino. "Oh, Aino! Glad you're here."

The sister, Aino, gets Aleksandra. "Don't worry, Aleksandra. Big sister is here."

"Sister?"

"Who is this?"

"This is Eino Lydia Bobkov, my little brother."

"I'm not little."

"Good to meet you Eino. My name is Olivia Emilia Virtanen."

"Good to meet you too."

The shaking stops.

Eino sighs. "It's over."

He looks to Aleksandra. "So who is she?"

Aino looks to Eino and smiles. "Let's go downstairs."

Eino, Aino who is holding Aleksandra, & Olivia leave and walk down the stairs.

They walk to the end of the hallway and walk left. They are now in the living room. They see the mother and father sitting on the couch. Eino speaks up. "Are you two okay?" "Yes we are."

The two look to them and see Aleksandra.

The father talks. "So I see you met her?"

"The babysitter or the little girl?"

"The little girl."

They walk over and sit down on a chair and another couch.

"Are you okay Ms. Virtanen?"

"I am fine. So was Aleksandra. I'm sure you heard her. All she did was cry."

"Well yeah. Any kid would be scared if they didn't know what was happening."

Eino looks up at the ceiling and then back to everyone else.

"Eino Lydia Bobkov, meet your new little sister, Aleksandra Elëa Anneli Bobkov. She is 5 years old."

Eino looks at the little girl who has stopped crying. He sees that she has white hair with some black streaks and brown eyes. She is wearing a light blue shirt with a dark blue star on it and light blue skirt. 10 years younger than Aino and 5 years younger than me..

"Nice to meet you Aleksandra. I'm your new big brother."

"Big brother...?"

She looks at him and smiles.

She hugs him."

The others smile at the two.

A purple portal appears. "Huh?"

It pulses, releasing a wave of air, pushing everyone back except for Eino and Aleksandra.

Eino glares at the portal. Come... Your help is needed...

He starts to slowly become entranced. Aleksandra looks up at him. "Brother?"

He gets up, making his little sister let go, and walks towards the portal. "Brother, don't go."

"Little brother!"

Aino gets up and runs towards her younger brother. The portal pushes her and Aleksandra away.

"Eino!" The parents, along with Olivia, run to Eino to stop him but they get pushed back as well.

Eino enters the portal and it closes.

"I like visiting this place. The Colosseum has some history."

"Obviously."

A person watches some people chatting away. The person, a young man, walks away. "I better get something to drink."

After buying an orange Fanta can, he goes to sit on a bench.

"Have you heard about what's going?"

"What do you mean?"

"A lot of teenagers have gone missing. It started some years ago, back in July 2011. An earthquake, then a portal appears to make them disappear. No one knows what's going on."

He takes a sip of his soda. Why didn't people try to stop them?

After finishing his drink, he crushes it in his hand and throws it away in a trash can. He gets up and leaves. "I'll check out the Trevi Fountain while I'm here."

He pulls out his phone when he felt it vibrate. He sees who's calling and answers the phone. "Hello Mom."

"I'm at the Roman Colosseum. I'll be heading towards the Trevi Fountain in a while."

"I promise I'll be fine."

"I'll see you later. Bye, Mom."

He hangs up and puts his phone back in his pocket.

"Hey Charles."

Charles stops walking.

"Aren't you going to say hello?"

He turns around sees three people standing next to him, smiling.

"Hi guys..."

"We need some help. We need you to hide some stuff for us."

"Like what?"

"Don't worry about it."

"I would like to but I'm busy doing something."

"Oh really?"

"Yes. I just got here and I'm taking a tour all by myself. I haven't been here for a couple of years."

"Well too bad then. We need our old friend's help and you're gonna do it."

These guys haven't changed at all...

"And what if I say no?"

"You don't have much of a choice."

"I do."

"Which is?"

"This."

He immediatley runs off. The three others run after him.

"Come on Charles. Just help us out."

"No thank you."

For 20 minutes, Charles is being chased by the three.

"They should know running after me was a mistake."

He runs past some people and reaches the Trevi Fountain.

"Gotta hide."

He looks at the fountain. "I can't believe I'm gonna do this."

He walks to the edge of the fountain and hears the guys chasing him. "He went this way!"

Charles jumps into the fountain and stays submerged. Everyone was surprised by his action. The guys appear, take one look around and see the faces of the people. "What's up with them?"

"Forget it. Let's keep looking for him."

The three run past the fountain. Once they do, Charles slowly surfaces. He watches them leave. "That was close."

He gets out of the fountain and sees two police officers walk towards him.

Aw crap...

"There you are!"

He turns and sees the three guys. "I had a feeling he was hiding in the fountain."

"So you actually have brains."

He runs off, barely avoiding the officers.

Just as he was about leave the area, the ground shakes. "What now?"

He leans against a building and looks at the officers and guys, who trying not to fall on their rears. He looks at the other citizens and sees that they have fallen. "Wait a minute.. an earthquake... Don't tell me it's actually going to happen?"

"You mean the disppearances? That's a load of lies."

"You think everything is a lie."

I shouldn't have left early. I should've waited for my family...

After several seconds, the shaking stops.

Charles goes to help some people up. "I just hope that was a regular earthquake." Just after he said that, he heard a man yell out "Look!"

He turns to the man and looks to where he's pointing at. His eyes widen. "It can't be..."

A purple portal is seen just slightly above the Trevi Fountain water.

"A family vacaction that suddenly took a strange turn..."

Charles goes to leave but is stopped. Why can't I move?

He turns around and faces the portal. He has become entranced.

He walks to the portal.

"Young man stop."

One of the officers goes to grab him but gets pushed back.

"It is real..."

"This can't be happening."

"We have to save him!"

Everyone goes to help stop Charles but they get pushed away.

The three guys run to stop Charles. "I can't believe we have to help him."

"We don't have a choice. He's our only friend."

Just as they were about to grab him, the portal pulses, pushing them away.

Charles jumps on the ledge and is walking on water.

"No..."

The three try to stop him but are once again pushed back. "We're gonna save you, you speed demon."

They run but Charles has entered the portal. It closes and they fall into the fountain. They come out and look down. "Damn it..."

Everyone else looks down as well.
