A Black Mask member walks around the naval port and glances at the docked aircraft carrier.
"Captain Mitchell, let's get going."
Mitchell turns and sees a young man wearing a brown cap, light green/white shirt, brown shorts, and black shoes. "Alright then, Petty Officer Hijikata."
The two walk away and leave the naval base. Once they walk out the gates, they see a brown/green automobile with three seats. The two see a young woman in the single back seat. She is wearing a white uniform with patches on the shoulders. She has black hair styled in a ponytail and her left eye is grey since the right one is covered by a white eyepatch with a blue stripe. "Let's go."
"Roger."
Hijikata sits in the driver's seat while Mitchell goes to the passenger's side. "Let's see your candidate, Major Sakamoto."
They drive off.
Meanwhile...
A group of young girls are crowding a part of a small mountain. Reason why is because on a tree branch that is sticking out of the small mountain is a cat and with the cat is a girl who is hanging on tightly while trying to reach the feline.
Some of the girls are mumbling to each other. One speaks directly to the girl on the branch. "Don't, Yoshika. It's too scary. Do you want me to call the teacher?"
The girl on the branch, Yoshika, is crawling to the cat while keeping her balance. "No. I'm okay."
Once she got close, she reaches for the feline. I got this she thought. After that, she fell. The girls below shrieked and the one who talked to Yoshika, a girl with dark blue or black long hair, has her hands covering her eyes. A few seconds later, she slowly lowers her hands and she sees Yoshika holding onto the branch with her upper body while her lower half is dangling in the air. "Yoshika, that's enough. Get down here."
Yoshika brings herself back onto the branch. "Not yet. Just a little bit further." The cat meows. "Alright. Almost there."
"Be careful." The girls look at the brunette with concern.
Yoshika slides to the cat. Once she gets close, she says, "Okay. You're gonna be alright now." The branch starts going down.
It breaks off.
"Yoshika!"
The branch falls on the ground. Yoshika and cat... are safe since Yoshika's uniform got caught by what's left of the branch that remains with the small mountain. The cat meows happily and Yoshika smiles at the feline.
"Oh Yoshika..." "That was close."
However, she quickly realizes her situation and kicks her legs in the air. "Someone help me!"
"Hang on. I'll get the teacher."
Some time later...
"Did she yell at you?" The girl is smiling while Yoshika just has a frown her face. "What was wrong with trying to save a poor kitten's life?"
"I suppose that's why I like you so much. You're always trying to do things as if you are already grown up." Yoshika rubs the back of her head while she laughs.
The girl notices something. "Hmm?" She looks to her right and sees an old man wearing a straw hat, and white undershirt driving a grey tractor. She waves at the man. "Grandpa!" The old man waves back. "Hello Michiko." He chuckles.
The two get on the back of the trailer the tractor is pulling. They drive away from the school.
They pass by some fields. Michiko and Yoshika are chatting while riding the back of the trailer. "That's amazing." "I know."
Up ahead is the port of Yokosuka. Michiko sees a docked aircraft carrier. "Wow. That ship is huge. It must be the battleship they said was comming." "Battleship?" "Yeah." Yoshika looks at the carrier. "A ship that's made only for war. I don't like it." She looks away.
Michiko sits back down and looks to Yoshika. "Because of your father?" The brunette nods. "He left when I was 6. It's been really hard without him."
-Flashback-
Date: 1936
Location: Yokosuka, Fusō Empire, Asia
A little Yoshika is standing in front of a figure with a sad look on her face. "Where are you going, Daddy? You said you would take me to my first day of school tomorrow."
The person in front of her, a man with short hair and is wearing a pair of glasses along with a buttoned-up shirt, vest, and pants. "I'm sorry Yoshika but I've got important work to do. If I can succeed, we'll finally defeat the Neuroi. But, when I'm funished, I'll never leave you again." He kneels down, close to Yoshika's eye level. She looks happy now. "Really? You're gonna stay with me forever?" "Yes I promise." He brings his right hand close with his pinky finger out. Yoshika has her right pinky finger cross his. "Yoshika, know that you have a great power inside of you just like your mother and grandmother. Promise me when you grow up, you'll use that power to protect everyone." Yoshika nods. "Okay. I promise."
-Flashback End-
"That was the last time I ever saw my dad. What did come back was his death certificate and a bag of his personal effects three years later." Michiko looks down. "They said his cause of death was classified military information so we never found out what happened. One thing I know for sure: if it weren't for the war, my dad would be home with me now."
Not that much away from them...
"So that's the girl?"
"Yes. Miyafuji Yoshika."
Hijikata is watching the three while using binoculars. Mitchell is watching as well but, unlike Hijikata, he isn't using binoculars.
"She certainly doesn't look like she's anything special."
"Looks can be deceiving, Petty Officer."
"Her academics are average. Her athletic ability is average. The only place she seems to excel is cooking."
"Do you really believe she's our leading candidate?" Hijikata puts down his binoculars. "Major Sakamoto, what do we do now huh?"
Hijikata and Mitchell look back to Sakamoto who is still in the back seat of the automobile looking at a thin book with some pictures of Yoshika on the right page. She looks at the two. "We wait and see."
Back to Yoshika, Michiko, and her grandfather...
A racoon walks across the dirt road. Michiko's grandfather steers the tractor away from it. This action made the girls at the back hold on to the sides of the trailer. Some watermelons fall out and get destroyed. Unfortunately, those watermelons aren't the only ones to fall out.
Michiko is thrown out and Yoshika tries to grab her but fails. "Michiko!"
Sakamoto gasps. "Hijikata!" "Right!" Their automobile speeds off to them.
The tractor and trailer are on their sides with the trailer being damaged. Yoshika is on the ground and gets on her knees. She rubs her rear and hears "Michiko!" which makes her stop. She opens her eyes, stands up and runs to the side of the road. She sees Michiko is injured. Michiko's grandfather is kneeling next to her. "Michiko wake up!"
"Oh no." Yoshika has a concerned look on her face and slides down. She runs to Michiko. "Michiko no!" She turns her friend on her back and sees that she's covering her injury. She also sees that her chest area is covered with blood. Michiko opens her eyes and talks. "Yoshika... please... it hurts so much..."
"Don't try to talk." Yoshika rips open her seifuku, revealing a sukumizu that's barely ripped at the center. The fabric covering the left breast is stained with blood. Yoshika backs up a bit and has her hands over the wound. A cyan sphere appears and covers Yoshika's hands and Michiko's chest. Ears of a mame shiba inu pop out from the top of her head. A mame shiba inu tail sprouts out above her rear. The sphere grows.
The automobile reaches them and stops. Sakamoto gets out of the vehicle, followed by Mitchell and Hijikata. "What's that?" "A healing spell. One of the most powerful. She's having trouble controlling it." The three watch what's going on.
Yoshika starts panting. My power...She thinks. She almost stops but a hand is placed on her left shoulder. "Calm down Miyafuji. Concentrate." The girl looks to who placed a hand on her and turns back to Michiko, looking dtermined. "Relax and breathe into it. Let the spell do the work. You are in control of the magic." I am in control... Yoshika thinks. The sphere glows brighter for a second before Yoshika passes out.
...
Inside a short wooden building with a sign that reads "The Miyafuji Clinic", Yoshika jolts up, now awake. "Michiko!" "She's going to be fine."
Yoshika looks to her left and sees two women with Michiko. The oldest of the two has grey hair and is wearing a purpel and dark purple kimono. The other one has long brown hair and is wearing a white buttoned-up shirt. Both have shiba inu ears sprouting from their heads but have no tails. The younger of the two has her hands above Michiko with a cyan sphere covering the injured girl. The elder one has her hands on the healer's shoulders. "Mom?"
"We've closed the wound and there shouldn't be any scarring." Michiko's chest is covered with bandage wrappings.
"Well that's good news." Yoshika smiles. "Apparently, you still haven't figured out how to control your powers. Remember: Your feelings mustn't control you." The elder one said. Yoshika looks down. She continues. "I understand youthful impulse to want to help everyone but if you don't learn how to direct these energies we possess, you'll overextend and end up paying with your life." The cyan sphere disappears. The animal ears sink down into their heads and they look to Yoshika. The elder one walks to her.
"I'm sorry... I just wanted..." She looks to them with a determined look and with her right fist close to her chest. "I want to learn how to save people's lives like you two do! I know that I can do it. Besides..." She looks to her hand sticks her pinky out. She starts looking sad. She remembers her pinky promise with her father. "I made a promise..." "Don't lose heart." "Yeah..." Yoshika is surprised, gasps and looks to the source of the voice on her right. She sees Sakamoto.
"Your natural talent is incredible. Once you learn how to use it there's no way you won't develop into a great witch." "Wait. A witch? And just who are you anyway?" "Hm? Oh I'm so sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I am a member of an elite squad, the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, also known as the Strike Witches, Major Sakamoto Mio."
"Uh... oh hello." The woman with the long brown hair speaks. "She's the one who carried you and Michiko back here to the clinic, Yoshika." Yoshika looks to her. "Carried?"
"We've been searching all over the globe for witches with great magic potential and a possible future with us. I was able to witness your powers first hand. They were unfocused but very powerful." Yoshika lightly blushes and chuckles. She bows. "Thank you." Mio chuckles. "Now let's say we put that power of yours to work for us fighting against the Neuroi." "All right." She smiles with her eyes closed. She opens them wide when she realizes what Mio just said. "Huh?" Yoshika's mother talks. "Hold on." She brings her right hand to her chest. The elder woman speaks. "Are you trying to get my granddaughter into the military?" "Military?" Yoshika gets a little upset. "I don't want to. Thank you but I plan on taking over this clinic when I graduate."
Mio stares and closes her eye. "Well, taking over this clinic is certainly a noble idea but there are people who are more in need your power than you'll ever see at this place." Yoshika gasps. "I never expected you to just say yes to my offer without thinking about it. However, I just know that you'll be coming with me in the end." Yoshika gasps again. "And just what makes you so sure about that?" "Hmm? Intuition. Those with gifts such as yours are always lead to where their power is needed the most."
Mio stands outside of the clinic. It is now night. "Okay. You can find me at the port." She closes the entrance door, turns and walks away. "Hijikata, Mitchell." "Yes ma'am." "Let's head back."
Yoshika sticks her tongue out at Mio. She crosses her arms. "What's her deal? Really."
Later on...
Yoshika is laying down under a blanket. They need my power? But... if I do what she wants, I'll be part of that awful war. She glares up at the ceiling. Hmm. Not in a million years.

The sun is up and the cicadas are making noise. "Mailman." "Coming." A man wearing a blue hat, sweater, white shirt, blue pants, and black shoes rides his red bike with a box at the back away from the clinic. Yoshika, who was dusting, is holding the mail. "Thank you very much, mister." She watches him ride away. She looks at the envelope. She is surprised and gasps. "Ah! Grandma!" She runs off to the building, dropping the broom.
"How did we get a letter from Dad?" Yoshika's mother is holding the envelope. The three look at it. "Does this mean that he really didn't die, huh?" The grandmother looks to Yoshika. "Try to calm down." The mother speaks. "It appears to have been sent from Britannia." She opens it. The grandmother talks. "Why is it just showing up now?" The mother pulls out a picture and hands it to her daughter. The picture shows Yoshika's father looking at the camera. Behind him is the ocean. "Daddy." She moves her fingers and the edge of another picture appears. "There's another one." She once again looks surprised and gasps. She glares at the photo. "Isn't that..." "It's that woman: Major Sakamoto." The picture shows Yoshika's father and three scientists behind him on the right side. On the left side is a young Mio Sakamoto and two scientists behind her. She's still wearing her outfit and eyepatch. At the center of the picture is a pair of metal legs with small wings at its upper sides, a Striker Unit. All seven are looking at the camera. "Somehow the Major knew my Daddy..."
In the busy city with cars going around and people doing stuff, Yoshika looks around and sees where she needs to be. At the entrance gate of the naval port, Mio is standing with her katana with the tip of the sheathed blade touching the ground and her hands resting on the hilt. Her eye is closed. The wind gently moves her ponytail. Next to her is Mitchell. She smiles and opens her eye. "Hmm." Yoshika runs to them and pants once she stops in front of Mio. "So you're here. See, I told you that you'd change your mind. I'm glad that you decided to put your power to work." Yoshika looks up at her and raises her hand. "No, I-" "Don't worry. It'll all be taken care of. I'll see to it that your enlistment and school classes are my top priority." "Hold on. You see I didn't come up here so you could sign me up." Mio looks at her and laughs. Yoshika looks to Mitchell and feels slightly uncomfortable by his appearance. "Don't be afraid, Miyafuji. My name is Captain Keita Mitchell. Pleased to meet you."
The three walk towards the docked aircraft carrier Akagi. Mio gets surprised. "A letter from Dr. Miyafuji?" She brings her right hand to her chin to think while Keita looks to her. "That's right. I wanted to know how well you knew my Dad." The two turn to look at Yoshika. "Well, I do owe him my life. Your father's research is the reason I'm in the position I'm in now." "Well then, do you know if my Daddy's still alive?" "I'm sorry I don't know. But I will look into it." Mio goes to place a hand on Yoshika's shoulder but stops when Yoshika says, "You have to take me along with you to Britannia! I need to find out what happened to my Dad. Please."
Mio just stares at her. She smiles and slaps Yoshika on her left shoulder. Yoshika covers her shoulder and glares at her. "Glad to hear it. Now then, the ship leaves tomorrow." Yoshika smiles. "Thank you so much." "Okay, now about your enlistment papers..." "Forget it." Yoshika brings her arms up and back down to cross her chest. "I'll never help you with your war." Mio just looks at her and laughs. "Settle down, okay?" Keita chuckles.

The ships are leaving. "Goodbye Yoshika! Good luck!" Michiko waves at Yoshika. "Michiko! I'll miss you so much! Take care, okay?" Yoshika waves back. She is on the side of the carrier with Mio, Keita, and several sailors. "Stay safe dear and be sure to write." The ship's horn sounds. Yoshika's grandmother waves at her granddaughter. Her mother looks at her. "Yoshika.." She smiles and waves. "Mama.. Grandma..." She leans against the railing, closes her eyes, and yells, "I'll BE BAAAAACK!"
The sun is starting to set. Yoshika is back where she was when she left Yokosuka. She watches the sun. "So, enjoying your time on the Akagi?" Yoshika turns to see Mio and Keita. "Oh um... yes. It's very comfortable." She smiles. "Good for you," Mio smiles and frowns. "but you'll only find that while you're aboard this ship. Yoshika gasps. "I'm sure you heard what Britannia is like nowadays. The Neuroi have taken over the whole continent. It's our frontline in the battle against them." She turns and puts her hands on the railings. "Britannia used to be so beautiful." Keita nods. She puts her hands away and turns to Yoshika with serious look. "Are you only interested in going there to find your father?" Yoshika looks down. "It's not just that. There are a lot of people still in Britannia who need help, right?" "Yes. Far too many." "Then I..." Yoshika brings her clasped hands to her chest. "should protect them. If anybody is wounded or sick I need to use these powers of mine to help them survive as best I can." Yoshika looks at Mio with a serious look. "I made a promise to my Dad."
Mio stares at her and just smiles. "Hmm." Yoshika walks to the two. "Major Sakamoto, Captain Mitchell, tell me anything I can do to help. Cleaning, laundry, I don't care what it is." "That's the way." Mio slaps Yoshika's left shoulder again. Yoshika covers her shoulder. "Good girl." She laughs. Keita sighs.
Some time later...
Yoshika is holding a big load of laundry and is struggling. 3 sailors watch her. After that, Yoshika is stirring a pot. She samples it, closes her eyes, and opens them while having a big smile on her face. Then, Yoshika is changing on her bed with Mio walking in on her by opening the curtain that was covering her. Yoshika looks to her and gasps. She has a nervous look on her face. Mio closes her eye and smiles a little while rubbing the back of her head. "Excuse me." She closes the curtain. Yoshika dips a broom in a bucket of water two times and brings it out. She places it on the wooden deck of the carrier and starts running around, scrubbing the deck. She laughs. "Weeeeeee!" She runs to the bow of the ship. A voice over the ship's intercom is heard. "Um check. 1, 2. Miyafuji, are you on deck? Wait for me there. There's something I want to show you." Yoshika had stopped and looked at the bridge. "Show me?"
In a dark space, Mio runs to a storage holder. Her katana is strapped to her back. She runs up its three stairs and jumps. Her shoes slip off and her legs go into the two metal legs that look like a plane. A blue glow covers her when she enters the Striker Unit. A pair of Doberman ears pop out of the top of her head and Doberman tail sprouts out above her rear. The side of the Striker holder opens up and a large gun comes out of it. She grabs it. Right next to her is Keita.
Yoshika watches on as the platform Mio and Keita are on raises up to the deck. Yoshika just looks at them. "Major Sakamoto, now preparing flight training Alpha." "Captain Mitchell, now preparing flight training Alpha as well." A blue glow covers her while Mitchell brings his right hand to the plane hanging from his necklace "A5M, Striker Mode" A gold glow covers him. His boots are on his back and he is now in a Striker Unit. The holder leans Mio foward. A blue magic circle appears underneath them and expands, growing past the aircraft carrier, almost covering it. They stare at the horizon and Mio widens her eye. The holder lets her go. Engines are heard as they hover fast towards the bow with two small magic circles underneath and following them. They takes off and fly above Yoshika who watches them while being surprised. Mio and Keita fly high up with Yoshika smiling. They come back down and strafe past the Akagi. They go on to fly past the destroyer escorts. They go back high up in the sky and go back down to the Akagi. They turn and fly just over the deck and past Yoshika. The two fly over the bow and go back up. Yoshika is smiling while watching Mio and Keita fly. "So cool."
Mio gets down from the Striker holder, which is now holidng her Striker Unit while Keita says, "Necklace Mode." A gold glow covers him again. He's waering his black boots now and the A5M Striker Unit turned back into the gold necklace. Yoshika runs to them. "Major Sakamoto, Captain Mitchell." "What did you think?" Yoshika stops in front of the two. "That was so amazing. You were flying around so fast all over the sky, it was like you were a bird." Yoshika spins around and stops once she's facing the two flyers. The major laughs while Keita stays silent. "A bird? Birds aren't nearly as fast as we are. We're part of the 501st and BM sub-unit A. We are the Strike Witches and Black Masks." Yoshika looks at her and Keita, surprised. "The Strike Witches and Black Masks..." Mio turns to look at the Striker Unit with Keita doing the same. "And our magic broom is right here." Yoshika looks at the pair of metal plane-like legs. "You are looking at the Striker Unit, the invention of..." She turns to her with a small smile. Keita looks at her as well. "none other than Dr. Miyafuji." Yoshika gasps with a surprised look on her face. "My Dad invented these?" "The invention of the Striker Unit made it possible for us to finally fight back against the Neuroi. Without your father's invention, the world would be completely destroyed by now." Mio frowns slightly but smiles. "The entire human race owes Dr. Miyafuji a deep debt of gratitude." She turns to look at Yoshika who slowly smiles. "My father?" "Want to try it on?" Yoshika and Keita look to her. "Your father was the one who invented it after all. It's not going to bite you."
Yoshika looks at the Striker Unit. She walks to it and places her right hand on it. She slides her hand down a bit. She smiles puts her hand away. "I think I'll pass on it." "I see." "Now I understand the work my Dad was doing." She frowns. "But," She looks to Mio and Keita. "I won't help with war. Mio closes her eye and smiles. Keita just gives a silent chuckle.
Date: Late May 1944
Location: Dover, Britannia, Europe
At what looks like a castle with a large runway, three people are laying down on chairs, sunbathing in their swimwear. A pale-colored girl with long bright red hair is laying on her stomach in a two-piece red swimsuit. A tan twin-tailed raven-haired girl in a white/black two-piece is laying her back. A pale-skinned boy wearing a black gas mask with the filter being where the mouth is, gold necklace with a plane hanging from it, and dark green trunks is laying on his back as well between the two girls with the redhead on his right and the black-haired one on his left. Between the three are two small tables with two water bottles on each table.
Three people wearing the Striker Units are flying back to the castle base. One is a white-colored girl with short silver hair, green eyes and is wearing what seems to be a mix of a white long-sleeved high-collar shirt and black dress with two tail-like things at the back of her outfit, black leggings, and a black tie with a red four-pointed star on it. A pair of black cat ears is shown on her head. The second is another white-skinned girl who has long platinum-blonde hair and violet eyes. She's wearing a light blue uniform jacket with white patches on her shoulders and one on her right breast, a cyan belt with two bags, and white leggings. She has fox ears on her head and they're colored black. The last is a figure wearing a black helmet, a gas mask that's the same as the one worn by the boy below, long trench coat, and gloves. The three are holding weapons with the silver-haired girl holding what looks like a rectangular rocket launcher in her right hand, the platinum-blonde one is wielding a gun in her right as well, and the Blask Mask member is using two tube-shaped launchers that look different than the silver-haired one's.
The redhead gets up and turns to see them touch down. She waves at them. "Hey. Welcome back." The three wave back at her as they head inside the castle base. The redhead watches them and turns to see another girl stop next to the raven-haired girl's chair. "Hmm?" She has long blonde hair, auburn eyes, and is wearing a pair of glasses, a dark blue uniform jacket with a white ascot, black pantyhose, and black shoes. She is holding an umbrella in her right hand and has her left hand on her hip. "As usual, the three of you have complete disregard for regulations." She slightly glares at them. "We're on standby alert. And here you are wearing next to nothing."
The redhead looks at her. "Grow up. The lieutenant colonels gave us permission. Besides," She closes her blue eyes. "Operation says we won't see another Neuroi until 0800. Or maybe..." "She opens her eyes and has a teasing smile. "Maybe you're frustrated because I'm so tempting." She closes her eyes again. The boy between them just stays silent. Ain't gonna deny that... The black-haired girl speaks and looks at the blonde with her green eyes while smiling. "Yeah. Or maybe you're mad because no one wants to see you like that." The boy just glances at her. She did not just say that...
The blonde blushes and stomps her foot while bringing her arms down. She glares at them. "That's totally not true! And besides," She composes herself and looks at them. "Major Sakamoto and Captain Mitchell are going to be back any minute now. I'll be certain to put in my report how much time you three spent lying around doing absolutely nothing." The redhead lays back down. "Ugh. You're so tragic." The black-haired girl motions her hand while having her eyes closed. "Yeah, especially in the chest." Damn Lucchini... The blonde glares at her. "You just shut your mouth! It's not like you have anything to brag about either."
The siren sounding is heard. Lucchini sits up, her eyes open and looks to the horizon. The redhead and boy do the same. The blonde just looks at where they're looking at. They gasp. The readhead talks while glaring. "Neuroi." The blonde speaks. "It can't be. It's much too soon." The boy sighs. "Well, believe it."
Meanwhile...
On the Akagi, Yoshika is staring at the ocean, looking for something. "Hmm... I still can't see it." She's holding a broom. Next to her is Mio who is looking at the ocean with her while having her sheathed katana's tip touching the deck & her hand on the hilt and Keita who is looking at the ocean as well. "Britannia is still about half a day at least. Patience, Miyafuji." Said girl turns to her, pouting. "But I've already been on this ship for over a month." "Once we get to Britannia we'll go to your Dad's address and then after that-" She gasps while looking a little bit surprised when Keita walks past her and Yoshika. Yoshika looks at him and moves to the side as Mio jogs past her to catch up with Keita. She looks to him. He says, "Look." She flips up her eyepatch and looks to where he's facing. Yoshika looks at the two. "What is it?"
Mio's uncovered right eye is glowing purple. She glares at the horizon. In her vision, almost everything is purple and black except for her center. She looks farther into the distance and sees an arrowhead-like object that's black with three red spots: one on each side and one under it. "Neuroi..." She turns back, swings her right arm, and yells, "STATIOOONS!" The alarm is heard. "12 o'clock! Distance: 4000!" Yoshika looks around, alarmed at the situation. One of the excort ships fires into a cloud. Just after the shells go through it, a shine is seen through the clouds and after that, the cloud disappears by a red beam that strafes the waters and the ship's forward turret, causing an explosion.
"Contact confirmed! This is not a drill!" Mio is heard shouting as Yoshika watches the Neuroi, looking scared. "So that's a Neuroi..." It shoots multiple red beams from the red patches on it. It misses but almost hits the ships. Mio grabs Yoshika by the shoulders and makes her look at her. "Miyafuji. It's too dangerous for you to be up here now. Get below deck to the sick bay." "I.. okay..."
The Neuroi screeches as it fires at the ships, still missing.
Yoshika walks against a wall in a hallway while sailors run past her towards the opposite direction.
The Neuroi fires at the Akagi, missing it. Its shadow looms over the carrier while it gives a low growl-like sound.
Yoshika is in a fetal position in a room, leaning against a wall while having her hands on her knees. She is afraid. Once the ship rocks, she closes her eyes and crosses her arms in front of her and leans into them. "I miss my Dad..." The ship rocks again.
To be continued -
Finally finished this chapter. I'll post what happened on December 7, 2020, in a future chapter.
