My dear long-lost, much beloved readers,

After nearly two years (what?!) of inactivity, I am officially returning to this fic. Full force. Meaning that starting next week, I will be posting every day, barring hospitalization or family emergency.

I was going to let that be a surprise, but of course in our little corner of the world, there's some enormous news happening that I had to address:

THE REVIVAL!

Is everyone else dying? I'm dying. I'm actually dead. I forgot to mention that I'll be continuing the fic from beyond the grave. But in all seriousness, Lauren Graham's tweet nearly gave me a heart attack. For any doubters, given the relationship between Ausiello and the goddess of all that is good, our lovely ASP, I doubt she'd let him make that announcement if it weren't really happening.

I am so looking forward to seeing how Stars Hollow is adapted for today and for this new forum (Netflix, I am eternally grateful).

In the mean time, might I suggest some other sources to get your fix that I feel are good accompaniments to this fic? I'd suggest listening to the Gilmore Guys podcast, at least their episode on the revival (which I'm listening to as I post this) and their Gab episode interviewing Liza Weil (just because it's incredible). I also think it's worth watching Bunheads if you never saw it, and a webseries called Anyone But Me (Liza Weil was in the second and third seasons). I have tons of other recommendations for various media and will also probably start linking to my favorite fics in the next few months in preparation for whenever the revival comes out. And if anyone is already a fan of any of these things, please feel free to PM me so we can nerd out together.

The continued interest in YCBAH has meant the world to me over the months and years that it's been since this was active. A lot has happened in my life that has been really rough, and made it difficult to be fully engaged with something as close to my heart as this story. However, I have never been happier than when I was writing this every day, and I so much look forward to recreating the community that we built (for those long-time readers) and for welcoming in a whole new group of Junkies (of both Jess and Java varieties).

For anyone who did read my other story, I do have interest in reviving that as well, and will probably more seriously plan to do so once I'm a good month or so back into YCBAH. I'm also open to having writing buddies for anyone interesting in doing NaNoWriMo who wants to correspond back and forth as we both re-adjust to this sometimes grueling but always endlessly rewarding schedule.

So much is happening! Oy with the poodles already. And of course I just burnt my food while I was excitedly rambling instead of paying attention to the strange smoky smell engulfing my kitchen. Some things will never change.

As is clear more than ever, I do not own Gilmore Girls or any of its characters or concepts. I am absolutely thrilled to see what ASP will do with them given this chance to remedy the travesty of how the show was left, and no matter what choices she makes, I am just grateful that we're going to be given the gift of her writing for these incredible characters again in our lifetimes.

Copperboom!
