I apologize for long wait. I'm having trouble figuring out how to make this story amazing.
Chapter 4: Introductions
The group of dragons flew over the ocean. The wild dragons had all disbursed. Edelweiss and Eclipse flew next to Toothless. The Rescue Riders were up front leading the way. Toothless looked over and smiled at them.
"So what have you guys been up to?" He asked. "The Night Lights really miss you Edel."
"I'm sorry," Edelweiss said. "I've just been really excited to meet other humans who could speak to dragons."
"That's understandable," said Queen Moon. "You think you'll introduce them to your parents?" Edelweiss thought a moment.
"I hope to," she said. "I know they'd really like each other." She smiled at the thought. "Dak and Layla are like the human siblings I never had." Suddenly Moon looked worried.
"The people in this village," she said. "Can we trust all of them?" Toothless looked at her.
"They are pretty friendly," said Eclipse. "Magnus is the only one you have to watch out for. He hates dragons. But Chief Duggard is very welcoming. He's kind of funny too, he looks like a dwarf." She laughed.
"Still, we should be careful," said Moon. "Humans like to gossip. And our arrival will be big news for them."
"Don't worry my queen," said Hookfang. "Even if something does go wrong, we have plenty of help out here." Moon relaxed a bit.
They soon reached Huttsgalore and landed next to the Roost. Toothless looked up at it.
"This is a cute little place," he said. "Right on the edge of the sea." He turned to the Rescue Riders. "How long have you lived here?"
"A few years," said Winger. "Though it still feels like we landed yesterday." He was fidgeting excitedly on the spot. He went over to the barrels of fish. "We filled a barrel with all of your favorite fish." He pointed to the barrel that was filled to the brim with trout.
"I appreciate that," Toothless said. He stretched his wings and rolled his shoulders. He sighed with relief. It was then that Winger noticed Toothless's tailfins. Toothless must have caught him looking.
"I'm sorry sir," Winger said shyly. "But is one of your fins made of metal?"
"Yes it is," said Toothless, flexing his tailfins. The tiny gears squeaked and clicked. This caught the attention of the others.
"That looks uncomfortable," said Cutter.
"I'm used to it," Toothless said, wrapping his tail around his paws. "I think I was about Winger's age when I lost my fin in a crash."
"That's how you met your human friend Hiccup?" Layla asked.
"Yes ma'am," Toothless said. He took a deep breath. "Well, I would love to see the rest of your home." Dak and Layla exchanged an excited glance.
"Yeah," Dak said. They turned and headed towards the bridge. Hookfang and the rest of the adult dragons took off to circle overhead. Moon remained on the ground. She looked over at Edelweiss and Eclipse.
"You're still scared of humans aren't you," said Eclipse gently.
"I still have nightmares about being bound so tight that I can't breathe," Moon said. Edelweiss put a soft hand on the white dragon's neck.
"You're safe here Moon," said Edelweiss. "No dragon has ever been in danger from humans on Huttsgalore." Moon sighed.
"Okay, I trust you," she said. "Those humans are going to stare at me aren't they?"
"They're mostly going be staring at Toothless," said Eclipse.
"Besides, my grandmother said that being a good queen means doing what others aren't willing to do," said Edelweiss. Moon nodded.
"Come one we should hurry after them," said Eclipse.
"Just stay by us, you'll be fine," said Edelweiss. Moon smiled. The three of them hurried after the group.
They all entered to village. The Vikings instantly looked up from their tasks. Duggard bounded up to them.
"Hello Rescue Riders, this must be the Night Fury," he said happily. He approached Toothless, who looked down at him with friendly eyes.
"This is Toothless, and his queen Moon," said Dak, pointing to Toothless, then to Moon. The Vikings gathered around the two dragons. Moon stepped closer to her mate. It helped calm her.
"Pleasure to have you on our island," said Duggard politely. Toothless smiled and nodded. Little Finguard ran up to Toothless and hugged his frown leg. Toothless purred and lowered his head to Finguard's level. The little boy opened the dragon's big mouth, and stuck his hole head inside.
"Wow, no teeth!" Finguard exclaimed.
"Careful Finny," said Finguard's mother.
"It's okay," Edelweiss said. "Toothless is very gentle with kids." The Night Fury gently pulled his head out of Finnguard's hands. But then Toothless licked the kid's face.
"Hey!" Finguard laughed. "That tickles." Toothless eventually stopped. Finguard petted his big nose. At that moment Magnus joined the crowd. The riders and dragons turned their attention to him.
"That's Magnus," Edelweiss whispered to Toothless. "The one I warned you about." Toothless tensed and stood protectively beside Moon.
"Are you sure we want this beast on our island?" Magnus said, glaring at the two Furies. "That black monster looks like he could kill us all in our sleep, and we wouldn't see it coming." Toothless snarled and flared his wings. Magnus flinched. Edelweiss chuckled.
"Look out Magnus, there's a nice big patch of mud behind you," she taunted. Magnus jumped and looked over his shoulder. There was no mud, just dirt and grass. Everyone laughed, making Magnus glare and his whole face turned red. "You're just too easy little baby Magnus."
"I am not a baby!" Magnus roared.
"You sure?" Edelweiss said. "Because I'm pretty sure only babies complain this much." The crowed laughed louder. Magnus eventually turned and stomped off. Toothless relaxed.
"Pay no attention to Magnus," said Hannahr. "He fussed about everything even before we had dragons in this village." She then spotted Toothless's metal tail fin. "Oh my! Is this dragon, handicapped?" This drew everyone else's attention to the fin.
"He got his fin cut off in a crash when he was young," Edelweiss said. Everyone flinched.
"That must have been painful," said Duggard. Toothless shrugged and crooned.
"He said he doesn't remember the pain anymore," Edelweiss translated.
"So if he doesn't have this fin, he can't fly?" Hannahr asked.
"Yeah," said Edelweiss.
Unfortunately, Magnus was lurking in the shadows behind the blacksmith shop. He sneered darkly.
"So, the King of Dragons has a weakness," he whispered to himself. "Catching him should be easy." He turned and scuttled off into the bushes.
After the Rescue Riders showed Toothless and Moon around the rest of the village, they all headed back to the Roost, as the sun set.
