What happens when redemption goes wrong? A backstory for the quintessential villain.

There comes a point in time where a man has to consider the legacy they leave behind. He supposed that lying in a pool of his own blood, leaking out, with rats and cockroaches surrounding him was just as good a time as any. It was not an injury that would result in his death, more of an injury designed to inflict pain.

Pain.

The word was synonymous with most of his adult life. Why should this be any different?

He shifted and groaned, ever so subtly. No point in making a fuss; no one was here to tend to his needs.

Alone too.

That was another word that was synonymous with his adult life.

What was his legacy when he left this world for good?
