It was still early in the morning as Lori stirred awake from her sleep. Her tired eyes groggily parted as the sight of her sleeping younger sister filled her vision from the other side of the dark room. She tried closing her eyes back and brought the blanket closer over her body only to be more uncomfortable with every small movements that she made afterwards. Sighing in frustration, she pushed the blanket away and laid on her back, her eyes narrowed at the ceiling. From the lack of light coming from the window, she could already tell that it was still far too early for her be awake. She reached for her phone on the nightstand and turned it on, her eyes winced slightly when the bright light suddenly assaulted her eyes, making her incapable of seeing for a moment.
She literally need to lower the brightness after this! After her vision slowly recovered, Lori looked at the wallpaper of her screen, a portrait picture of her and the rest of her family spending time together not too long ago. She couldn't help but let a small smile plastered on her face at the fond memory. But that smile instantly disappeared when she saw the time displayed on her phone, which is 6:25 a.m in the morning. Whatever remaining of hope for her to get back to sleep, she couldn't find them anymore with how her body seemed to be begging for her to use the bathroom.
Sighing in defeat, she eventually stood up from the bed, left her room and started walking over to the bathroom at the end of the hallway. Since it is still summer, most of her siblings didn't care to wake up as early anymore with no responsibility for school waiting for them until the start of a new season. She was also hoping to do so if not for her body urging for her to use the bathroom so early in the morning. If she was lucky, she might be able to get back to sleep after this.
She almost reached the door when it suddenly opened as goth Linc dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans with a black choker around his neck stood infront of her. His white hair still wet after the shower she assumed he had earlier. Right, it wasn't a dream, her brother actually separated into a few different person yesterday due to some unexpected explosion. It was still kind of hard for her to believe something like that would happen, but with everything that has been happening in the house since she was born, it wasn't that surprising anymore, at least not for her that is.
For a split second, their eyes met and she was pretty sure that he was glaring at her before walking away, not even regarding her existence. What is wrong with him? Her brother would never do something like that and yet his counterpart was almost like a completely different copy of him. If not for him having the same look like Lincoln, she could barely tell if he was actually her brother. This doesn't make sense at all for her, knowing her brother he wasn't the kind of person that would usually be so cold around other people, especially his own sisters.
Sure he was a goth but that didn't explain why he seemed to hold some sort of resentment towards them. If he didn't look at them with disinterest, he would walked away from them without saying anything. It was a usual thing coming from Lucy, but goth Linc, he was different. If Lucy was accidentally forgotten then he wanted to be forgotten. Living with ten siblings with variety of interest, it was easier for her to pick up the changes around her. And no matter how good he was at keeping his facade, she could sense the cracking in his demeanor.
Sighing in resignation, Lori dismissed whatever that just happened earlier and got into the bathroom before closing and locking the door behind her. With four boys in the house even if they're the same person, she needs to be more cautious as to not risk a cliche where a boy stumbled into an unlocked bathroom while a girl was using it. She don't need a situation like that to happen, especially if the person was her own brother.
She shivered at the thought, hoping that it will never happen again even if it wasn't as worst as she thought it would be. But in a house that placed eleven and now fourteen children, it was bound to happen one way or another. If she remembered it correctly, it also happened to her a few times before. The most recent one was a few weeks ago. She just got back from another tiring shift of her part time job and was changing her clothes in the bathroom when Lincoln suddenly opened the door. She was already half naked when he saw her and instead of turning into a stuttering mess, he quickly apologized and closed the door. That was the kind of person her brother was, considerate and caring, even if he was a little bit selfish sometimes.
He knew when he was at fault and tried his best to fix it. Even when it wasn't his problem, he would lend his energy and time to help them when they needed his assistance. A trait of him that she had always admired.
He will always be an important part in their lives and now that she was stuck with four of them, she wasn't sure if it was for the good or bad. They are different than the Lincoln that she knew, each having their own different personalities that she couldn't see in someone like her brother. It was strange for her to see them as her brother when they clearly aren't the same person that she knew. But what if she was actually looking at it from the wrong direction, what if she was overlooking the important details right infront of her. Instead of them being a different person, what if they are the same side of him that he didn't show often.
It could be the reason, but by believing that, it would be the same as saying that she didn't know anything about her brother. It was rather easy for her to believe the former than the latter with that being put in line. She knew her brother and his counterparts were nothing like him. Whatever the explosion did, it also changed her brother behaviors. That would explain their different personalities that was unlikely for someone like Lincoln. She just hoped that Lisa and smart Linc could fix this situation fast enough before she started doubting herself again.
After tending to her needs and having a nice warm shower to relax her tensed mind, Lori waited until she was dry enough before wrapping a towel around her body and exited the bathroom. She was quite surprised to see some of her sisters were already awake and waiting in line infront of her. It was unusual for any of them to be up early when they could have sleep longer especially after what happened yesterday.
Not wanting to stall the line, she headed to her room when jock Linc dressed in his orange jersey and black shorts suddenly appeared from the stairs, looking around for something or rather someone on the second floor.
"Where is Lynn?" He asked with an excited smile on his face. There is no hint of subtlety in his cheerful voice.
"What's the rush dude, pretty sure she's still sleeping in her room." Luna said, rubbing her eye before letting out a yawn.
"Oh..." He muttered, his smile slightly fell. "If she is looking for me, just tell her that I went out for a jog alright." Jock Linc said, slowly going back downstairs.
Though a little bit confused with his sudden appearance, Lori shrugged it off as she entered her room and wore her usual clothes, a light blue tank top and brown shorts before walking back out. She literally have a lot to deal with today. Mainly, how to fix her separated brothers before their parents got back from their vacation. There isn't much she could do since Lisa and smart Linc were mostly the one handling the task but she still wanted to know if there is any progress regarding their situation.
She would be lying if she didn't notice the tense relationship between the two, but there isn't much she can do about it at the moment. Both of them were secretive, so talking with them was already out of the question. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to put them together with their problem still affecting them, but they were the only people who knew how to deal with this. It would be a problem if they can't work together like she hoped them to do. After all they only have less than a week to fix this, she was putting a lot of pressure and trust on them. If they could put aside whatever problem they have with each other for now, she would really appreciate it. One less trouble she needs to think about. If not, she might have to interfere with their problem and settle it between them. As the oldest sister, it kind of becomes part of her duty to interfere when she needed to. And she wouldn't mind doing so if it will help getting her result faster.
The only thing stopping her was smart Linc, more or less the way he was talking like he already have everything under control. She would interfere when it was necessary but with smart Linc taking everything into consideration, she don't think she need to worry about it, at least not for now. She will wait to see if they managed to sort things out between them, if it got really out of hand, then she will make her move. For now she can only trust smart Linc that he knew what he was doing. Even if he wasn't exactly her brother, she was hoping that some of Lincoln's caring nature is still within him. Though she couldn't say the same about goth Linc, there is just something really unsettling about him.
Walking in the second hallroom, Lori stopped again when she saw Lynn standing behind Lucy in the line. It seemed like she just got out from her room if her bed ridden condition would say anything. From the look of it, Leni was probably the one using the bathroom right now since Luna had fallen back to sleep against the wall while Lola is shouting and furiously knocking the door. Luan is nowhere in her sight, she could probably still be asleep but with the loud screaming coming from Lola that was unlikely to happen.
"Hey Lynn, jock Linc was looking for you earlier." Lori informed. As if she was shocked by high voltage electricity, the brown haired girl instantly waken up at the revelation. Her eyes widened and she quickly turned around to look at her.
"Wait, what?" Lynn asked, now giving full attention towards her.
Lori groaned before repeating what she just said a moment ago. "I don't know why he was looking for you but he told us to tell you that he went out for a jog." She passed the information.
If Lynn was awake before, now she was more aware of her surrounding. Shocking the eldest sister, she quickly headed back to her room, changing into her sport bra, whatever jersey that she got and a hairband before coming back out. "Why didn't any of you think to tell me this sooner." She shouted, messily slipping her sneakers on. Luna who was sleeping against the wall was awakened at her voice "Did he say where he is going?" She looked back at Lori only to receive a shrug from her. Groaning in frustration, she pulled her hair up into a ponytail and quickly make her way downstairs as the front door slammed open and close.
That was weird, way weirder that what usually happened in the house.
Not wanting to stay there any longer, Lori left the second hall just at the right time when the bathroom door opened as Leni stepped out from the rising steam with a cheerful smile on her face. "Finally!" Lola shouted, not wasting any time to push the elder sister out and close the door behind the confused girl.
The first thing Lori saw when she got downstairs was the sight of lazy Linc sleeping on the couch in the living room, his peaceful face resonating with the slow rise and fall of his chest. Among all of her brother's counterparts, lazy Linc was the one she was having a hard time to understand. He barely do anything unless if it was related to Lily. If he wasn't taking care of their baby sister, then he would be sleeping just like he was doing right now. How much sleep does he need? It was kind of concerning for her to see someone doing nothing but sleeping all day, it was unhealthy. She almost wake him up if not for a familiar voice stopping her.
"Just let him be will you." She could feel a shiver running up her spine at the coldness of the voice. Turning her head to the side, her eyes locked with goth Linc's sharp gaze who was standing beside her with a glass of water in his right hand. She didn't even noticed him being there before, how long has he been watching her? He is almost like Lucy but more stealthy to the point that she could barely sense his presence. But she wasn't going to be intimidated by a copy of her brother, she is still the oldest sister after all. Glaring back at him, Lori crossed her arms to ascertain her authority.
"And why shouldn't I?" She asked, towering over the goth boy. If only she knew what will happen next, she would have kept quiet and walked away from him. As soon as the words escaped from her mouth, his glare hardened, his frown changed into an unsettling grin that doesn't belong on his face, it was as if he was trying to replicate a smile, but with how unfamiliar it was to him, it felt like he was wearing someone else face like a mask.
For the first time in her life, she actually shivered in fear because of her brother, No, he isn't her brother, he is just a copy of him. She refused to believe that the person standing infront of her was the same kind brother that she knew. Everything about him felt so wrong to her. Even his existence contradicted with her knowledge of her brother. Lincoln would never do something like this. It was wrong and him using Lincoln's body to do this was like a violation to her brother.
Lori slowly backed away when he took a step towards her. Noticing her reluctance to be close with him, goth Linc's stopped, bringing the glass of water to his lips and took a quick sip from it. He let out a sigh as his face returned back to its usual disinterest look. "Thanks Lori, thanks for proving that I'm right." He muttered, his gaze softened as something similar to hurt swirled in them. The change was so sudden that she don't know if it was really happening. She was having a hard time to understand their entire interaction. None of it make sense to her. Before she got to say anything, goth Linc walked away from her and disappeared into the dining room. By the time she looked around her, lazy Linc was also no longer sleeping on the couch or anywhere in the room much to her confusion. He had probably left when she didn't notice. It was still early in the morning and so much stuff has happened already.
Sighing in resignation, Lori walked into the dining room and took a seat at the table, her eyes absently staring at the floor. She was too caught up in her thought that she didn't realize the plates of freshly made pancakes and bacons infront of her.
"Good morning Lori, may I interest you with some hot coffee." She lifted her head to look at smart Linc dressed in a pair of white labcoat, blue t-shirt and jeans standing infront of her. Not having the energy to say anything, she nodded at him as a response. Smart Linc placed a mug infront of her and carefully poured some coffee from the pot into it. "If you don't mind me asking, may I ask what would be the reason for your distress this morning?" He inquired, taking his seat infront of her.
"It's fine smart Linc, you already have so much stuff to think about." Lori said, blowing the top of the mug of coffee to reduce the heat before taking a sip.
"I insisted, I might can't help much with your problem but it would be better if you talk with someone about it." Smart Linc suggested. "At least now before the others get here." He continued.
Considering his offer, Lori placed her mug down on the table and looked at him. "I had a talk with goth Linc earlier, it wasn't good, there is something about him that really bothers me." She explained.
"I understand where you're coming from, goth Linc's personality was quite... Unpredictable, but he usually have a reason behind his action. He just prefer to keep it to himself." Smart Linc pointed out which did little to comfort her. If anything it brought more questions to her mind. What goth Linc really wanted from her, what could possibly be the reason for his cold treatment towards her, what is he trying to prove? It was a pity she didn't have an answer for any of those questions.
"I shouldn't be bothered by all of this..." Lori said, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration at the headache coming her way. "None of you are Lincoln, you're just his copies." She stated to herself, not noticing the change of expression on smart Linc's face.
"I see..." He muttered. It was quiet for awhile as neither of them speak.
Standing up from his seat, smart Linc started walking towards the living room as to not disturb her any longer. "I suggest you eat your breakfast before they get cold." He said, breaking Lori from her trance. It was at that moment she realized the amount of well made food placed on the table. She wanted to ask who made them but smart Linc had already left her sight before she got the chance to.
"Sweet mate, someone made breakfast today." Smiling, Luna walked into the dining room and sat beside her. Soon after the rest of her sisters also arrived and took their seats around the table before enjoying their breakfast.
"Wow, like this is totes really good, who made this?" Leni asked, squealing at the taste.
"I don't know, but I want more!" Lana said, already finished with her first plates. Her face stained with bits of pancakes and syrup, not at all caring that she just had a shower earlier.
"Ew, have some class Lana, how can you eat like this." Lola commented.
"Cut it out you two, I'm trying to eat here." Luan groaned, she didn't have the energy to make any joke right now with how little sleep she had last night. If only she could get that cute smiling face of his out of her head, now that she thinks about it her face reddened at the memory. Quickly shaking her head, she stabbed a strip of bacon and shoved it into her mouth, viciously chewing on it to get the thought away.
At the other end of the table, Lisa was helping to feed Lily like usual while eating her own meal. Watching her for a little bit longer, Lori noticed the spectacled girl's eyes would occasionally searched around for something only for her to look away when their gazes met.
Weirdly, Lucy was also doing the same thing as Lisa with the difference being her black bangs covering her eyes, making it a little bit hard for her to notice at first.
"So who made breakfast today Lori?" Luna asked, getting her attention. She hummed while picking a piece of pancake with a fork into her mouth.
"I don't know, probably one of the Lincoln." She replied, ending the conversation at that. While she ate her own meal, her sisters argued which Lincoln made the breakfast for them. All of them were there except for Lincoln counterparts and Lynn. Now that she think about it she couldn't help but wonder what Lynn was doing right now. And the fact that she missed to eat breakfast before going out earlier.
Her stomach growled as Lynn kept running in a steady pace around the neighborhood. Her jersey was soaked with sweat and her eyes stung under the hot gaze of the morning sun. She usually wouldn't have any problem to go for a jog at this time of hour, but due to her empty stomach combined with her lack of sleep, she was unprepared to be running at the moment. Her stomach growled again and she regretted not getting anything before leaving the house earlier. She was such in a hurry to chase after her brother that she forgot to pack anything that she could eat.
It didn't take long before her fatigue finally caught on to her as Lynn slowly lost her pace and stopped running until she was leaning against a brick wall in a panting mess. She coughed into her palm and lifted her head to look around her with squinted eyes. She was too focused searching for her brother that she didn't realize how far away she was from her house, by now she was pretty sure she had already entered a different neighborhood.
And the worse thing was she still can't find him no matter how long she had been running.
Lynn slumped her back against the wall and slid down to the ground, she should have just stayed at the house earlier. What was she thinking she would get by doing this. She don't know, she just wanted to talk with him. But why would she be so desperate to talk with him. She never had the problem with that before, then why would it be any different now. Stupid Lynn, always being the reckless one, how long is she going to keep being like this. Slowly bringing her knees closer to her chest, she hugged them in her arms.
Just forget about it, she should've known better than hoping for something like that to happen. It was impossible, especially for someone like her. Even if he was different, there is no reason for him to be what she wanted him to be. It was pointless, a futile work with no result, a useless attempt, nothing. She tightened her embrace and clenched her teeth, ignoring the cold sensation sinking inside her. She knows that, she just don't want to believe it. She is still as stubborn as usual, not surprising coming from her.
"Lynn, is that you, what are you doing here?" Her eyes widened, she quickly lifted her head as her heart skipped a beat at the familiar voice. Right infront of her, Jock Linc stood with a concerned look plastered on his face. She could barely contain herself with how happy she was just by seeing him right now. All the thoughts that had been bothering her before instantly disappeared when he held his right hand out towards her. And she gladly took it as he pulled her up from the ground.
As soon as she got back to her feet, Lynn glared at her white haired brother before catching him off guard with a headlock. "What do you think I'm doing here, of course I'm looking for you dork." She said as jock Linc struggled to escape from her tight grasp. It felt like her energy suddenly returned back to her body when their skins touched. "I can't believe you go jogging without me, do you think I'm not good enough for you!?" She continued, her voice cracked a little as tears threatening to escape from her eyes.
Maybe it was because she skipped breakfast that morning since he managed to get away from her grasp much to her surprise. But with how close they're standing, their legs stuck between them as they both roughly fell to the ground. Luckily, she landed on something soft, unluckily, it was her brother who she had landed and was lying on right now. Her budding chest pressed against his as their eyes locked in a shocked gaze. But even in their weird position right now, neither of them move, refused to let go of the warm sensation currently spreading through their bodies.
Realizing that he probably can't get up because she was still on top of him, Lynn tried to stand up only for him to pull her back against his chest before embracing her in his arms. Her breath hitched and her eyes closed shut as if none of this was real. She clutched the front of her brother jersey tightly in her fists, gritting her teeth desperately to feel something else other than the fast beating of her heart against her chest. With how close they are, she was sure he could feel how her heart was rapidly beating, begging for him to hold her closer, tighter, to take all of her and never let go. She wanted to look at him, to see his face, but she was scared if she opened her eyes, what she was feeling right now would disappear. The warmth of his body, the nice scent of his skin, his tender touch and soft beating of his heart close to her ear. She wanted to feel all of them, to know that it was real.
"I'm sorry Lynn, I didn't mean it like that, you're asleep and I don't want to bother you." He threaded his fingers through her hair. "I'm really sorry for making you feel like that. You're not weak Lynn, you are far better than me, You are Lynn Loud, the most athletic student and strong willed person I've known. Even when you're having a hard time, you will always overcome it and come out stronger... You're not scared to be the person that you wanted to be." His embrace tightened. "I want you to always remember that." He begged.
"Then why did you keep avoiding me lately, even before the summer you had always been helping Lisa with her experiment?" Lynn asked, still not opening her eyes. Just this once she let herself be weak and vulnerable, she wanted to know.
"The same reason for why I'm doing this right now." He vaguely replied. Not satisfied with his answer, Lynn finally opened her eyes and lifted her head to look at him. She was shocked when Lincoln suddenly planted a tender kiss against her forehead, sending a dark blush to her face.
Noticing the fond smile on his face, Lynn looked back down as to not meet his gaze staring at her. "Stupid dork." She whispered. They stayed like that for awhile until he decided it was time for them to move since he don't want her to be uncomfortable.
"Well we better get up now." Shifting slightly on the ground, jock Linc carefully moved his hands around her, straightened his back and stood up while carrying her bridal style in his arms, startling her a little with his strength. Soon after, he gently let her down on her feet, not noticing the bright shade of red coloring her freckled cheek. Her eyes widened when her stomach growled, adding another shade of red on her already crimson face. She instantly narrowed them into a sharp glare at the not so subtle chuckle coming from her brother.
"It's your fault I missed breakfast this morning." She reasoned, though it was mostly herself to blame for that. Jock Linc reached for something from his pocket and held out a protein bar towards her.
"It's not much but I think it would be enough until we get back home." He said. Lynn took it, unwrapped the protein bar and bit a large part from it to recover her energy. She was unsure if it was because of the snack or his presence, but she felt so much better. Instead of continuing with their jog, they walked side by side while enjoying the scenery, content with their condition right now. She would stole a quick glance at him, and his smile will send a sudden halt to her heartbeat before she looked away. It was nice and she was fine with how thing was at the moment.
"Hey Lynn... do you love me?"
And her heart instantly went overdrive.
Meanwhile back at the house, the girls were already done with their breakfast as they went to do their activity like usual. Luna and Leni were cleaning the dishes at the sink while Lori, Lisa and Lily were still sitting at the table, helping to clean whatever remaining of foods that stained the place. Luan had already returned to her room, saying that she wanted to take a nap if she could as Lucy disappeared like usual without any trace. It was almost normal if not for smart Linc who walked into the dining room and stopped at the table.
"I assumed now would be the right time for us to discuss our situation." He said, looking at Lori and Lisa. The oldest sister nodded, signalling for him to continue as Lisa looked away from him much to his disappointment.
"Lisa, If I'm not wrong you had certainly saved some of your recent experiment schematics somewhere else for better preservation, am I right?" Smart Linc asked.
"Indeed you are correct, some of my latest experiment were saved in an archive placed in my bunker." She answered.
"I will need to have a look on them before I can decide to do anything, it you want I can come with you to retrieve the data." He offered as Lisa slid down from her chair.
"No, your assistance would be unnecessary, I can retrieve it myself." She informed before leaving from the back door.
Sighing in defeat, smart Linc fell on one of the empty seat and massaged his aching temples. "This is worse than I thought." He muttered.
"If you want I can talk with her about it." Lori suggested. Smart Linc appreciated her offer but even that wouldn't be enough to fix the strained relationship between him and Lisa. He couldn't risk having Lori making the matter worse either. He will need to earn her trust back, but with the way she was treating him, its almost seemed impossible to happen. He will figure it out, he need to after all.
"No, this is all my fault, she is being like this all because of me, I need to be the one to fix it." Smart Linc said.
"But if this keep going on its going to prevent you from giving full attention to fix our problem right now." Lori argued. "There is literally nothing more important than to bring the real Lincoln back to us." She reasoned.
"You don't understand Lori, it is not as simple as that, you wouldn't understand." He muttered.
Lori opened her mouth to ask what he meant by that only to close it back when Lisa came in from the back door. The brown haired girl walked towards him and held out a thumb drive in her right hand.
"I've transferred all my research development into this thumb drive, from schematics, blue prints, and calculation, I hope the information would be enough for you to fix our situation" Lisa handed the thumb drive to him.
"Thank you for your cooperation, I will get to my task immediately." Smart Linc stood up from his seat as he spared a short glance to Lori and Lisa before walking away. The brown haired girl also decided to leave when her oldest sister stopped her.
"Lisa we need to talk." Lori said. She was hoping to settle their problem right there and then. She can't have them fixing their problem with the way they're being with each other at the moment. Too much complication will only take them longer to get the result and she can't let that happen.
"What is it you want to talk about eldest sister unit?" Lisa asked, fixing the glasses on her nose.
"She was hoping that you would consider moving into another room since our room might be uncomfortable for you..." A monotone voice spoke, startling them. "Right Lori?" Sitting in the seat at the end of the table, goth Linc looked at them with disinterest in his cold blue eyes.
"Y-yes..." Lori lied, her eyes averted from looking at him with the growing intensity coming from his gaze. Why is she so afraid of him? She is the oldest sister, she was the one with higher authority.
"As I said before I've no problem with staying in Lincoln's room but I appreciated your concern." Lisa said. "May I be excused now?" Goth Linc nodded as the younger girl picked Lily up and finally left their sight. By now Leni and Luna were already done with the dishes as they followed the spectacled girl out from the dining room, leaving Lori and goth Linc alone at the table.
"Seriously Lori?" He sighed in frustration. "I know that you don't see us as your brother but can you at least respected smart Linc's request." Goth Linc rested his cheek in his upturned palm on the table.
"What do you want from me?" Lori seriously asked.
"I don't want you to interfere between smart Linc and Lisa, they will deal with their problem their own way." He answered.
"And why do you think that would be a good idea, we are trying to fix our situation as soon as possible, with how they're interacting with each other right now I don't think that would be possible." She reasoned.
"Do you really think I want to be here any longer either, I don't, but even if it can help me leave quicker, I won't let you get involved in their problem ." Goth Linc stated firmly. "Even if we are not your brother, you still need to respect our right as a person, that is the only thing we have left and I won't let you take that." He glared at her.
"What's the matter with you, why can't you just let me help them!?" Lori raised her voice.
"You said it yourself that we aren't exactly your brother, why should I let you do anything you want with us anymore?" He stated. "We are not Lincoln, you can't control us, you can't control me anymore." He said, standing up from his seat. "If you know what's good for you, just leave them alone, I won't say it again." He walked out from the back door, leaving the oldest sister alone with her thought.
It was just the beginning of the day and she was already overwhelmed with a lot of stuff that she didn't expect to happen. For now she can only hope that smart Linc had made some progress with their situation, that is the last thing she have to look up on right now.
Sitting on the bed in their parents room, smart Linc connected the thumb drive with his laptop, waited for the transfer of data and clicked the icon leading to Lisa's research regarding the teleportation device. His eyes quickly scanning the screen, from one folder to another, taking in all the information that would be useful for him. He already knew most of the stuff since he was also helping Lisa with the device, but now that he learned the intention behind its creation, he wanted to make sure that he didn't miss anything since even with a single mistake could bring a big difference.
And that was when he saw it just like the first time he noticed it on the white board in Lisa's room, like a painful reminder to him for how all of this started, the reason behind his strained relationship with Lisa. Smart Linc stopped at the page, looking at the single miscalculation with so much hatred in his eyes. He almost can't believe how much the mistake had affected them, how much it had affected him. But this would be better than being turned to dust by the explosion.
Letting out a sigh, smart Linc continued gathering as much information as he can from the research. Most of the details and notes before the miscalculation can still be used for his plan, and the schematics would be a nice main structure with a few changes with the component and design. It can still serve the same purpose with the addition of fixing their situation. He can work with the rest from here. Now that he have fixed the miscalculation and created a better design for the device, he should be able to continue with the next step of his plan.
Getting the material that he needed...
Before he closed the laptop, a folder at the last row of the screen caught his attention with the title being 'M-x1 Chemical'. It was the only folder with a title that he couldn't figure out the reason for. Filled with curiosity, he clicked the folder as his eyes widened at the content filling his screen.
'No way, Lisa what the hell were you thinking?'
