Hello, again.

Now, I will admit, it isn't all that much, but here you go. Also, sorry about the delay.

Don't own Naruto or Pokemon.

Pokken Round 2

It was coming time for the beginning of the second day of the tournament, and people were just as excited for the upcoming matches as they were for the previous day.

Sayuki was quick to recover, since it wasn't all that bad exhaustion plus there was enough Pokemon in her for the PokeCenter technology (with an accompanying Nurse Joy) to help. Though that didn't stop her from seeing (at least in a recording), Gardevoir winning against Blaziken as well as the Speed Course of the Pokeathlon.

The Pokeathlon definitely caught their interest, beyond supporting their team.

What if something could be done to make it so that more than just Pokemon can participate? Say like, a class for Pokemon, humans, and ninja?

Though that didn't do anything to lessen the confusion they felt when "I thought Pikachu already had his match?"

"Apparently this one's a girl in some type of costume, Hikari." Nikorra clarified. "'Pikachu Libre.'"

"So like what, she uses thunder grapples or something?" Sayuki asked, getting a "Most likely." from Hinata. "That'll be interesting for the group from Cloud, at least."

"Especially the Raikage, A." Kushina piped in. "His signature technique is Lightning Armor, which just boosts his fighting style with the power of lightning. Doesn't actually allow him to launch bolts with a punch, though."

"Still, the idea definitely fits well with ninja." Hinata said. "Specialty can help, but only so much before it starts holding you back."

They all nodded at that, just as it came time to start heading over to the arena stands to watch the matches.

And they weren't the first ones to arrive. If anything, they were some of the latter ones as the place already needed Security to help keep the crowd moving to their seats.

Hinata easily called their attention to the Cloud contingent, who were indeed looking particularly interested like they expected.

And that was most likely without much regard to the second match: Gengar vs. Machamp. However, admittedly, they might not be seeing much from that one unless Machamp had a trump card or two (in silent admittance, they hadn't looked much into Machamp in comparison to Gengar).

However, Sayuki noticed "Take a look at the Raikage and his brother."

Nikorra in particular was laughing her head off when they realized the pair were looking at least a little like kids wanting to see what the surprise is while trying to show indifference.

And they were supposed to be strong and stubborn types, not little kids trying to act like grown-ups in front of a 'shiny.' (any parent that remembers their kids beginning days knows exactly what I mean)

They quickly calmed down when the first match contestants started walking onto the field.

The first was like Pikachu, but had a more heart-shaped end to the tail. And unlike the other Pokemon, it actually wore something. That being a primarily red and black outfit consisting of a mask, a shirt, and pants.

The second was a green bipedal reptilian creature with a somewhat long neck and two crests on its head, with semicircular yellow-with-red-rim eyes. It's lower jaw and a band placed like a belt were red, while two lines of yellow bulbous objects went down it's back. Its tail was shaped similar to that of a palm tree's branch, while both of its long arms have two sharp, elongated leaves and three claws.

"Who's the green one?" was heard from a nearby spectator, only for Nikorra to answer. "Sceptile, a Grass-Type that can usually be found in jungles and forested areas."

"Thanks!"

"FIGHT!"

And they were off.

Like the previous Pikachu match, the combatants were pretty fast, but this time was much more intense. As showcased when Libre had managed to grab Sceptile's tail and slam him down in a Judo flip, followed by an "Iron Tail!" axe drop which Sceptile just managed to dodge.

"Well...they're certainly going at it." Sayuki said dryly after that.

The others nodded, knowing where the girl was coming from with that.

'Oohs,' among other sounds, started up with each move in the match, like when Libre pulled a spinning pile-driver on Sceptile, only to be flung away just in time for the bigger Pokemon to escape. Albeit not without at least some damage from skipping a bit across the ground.

Or when Sceptile turned "Leaf Blade!" into a twister that shot towards Libre, "Seed Bomb!" flying everywhere.

That caught even the Were'mon and the Legendaries by impressed surprise, having not expected a combo attack like that at all.

Libre just barely had enough time to launch "GIGAVOLT HAVOC!" to try and counter, which only served to cover the field in an explosion of dust and minor debris, forcing the crowd to try and shield their faces.

"Gust! Gust!" Zygarde called out, getting the Flying types to start flapping their wings and clear away the dust, only to reveal "Sorry folks, but both are unable to continue. This match is a draw, now get them to the infirmary, people!"

The two downed Pokemon were carted off by medics to a stunned crowd.

After a few moments (possible minutes), Kushina noted out loud "Off hand, I'd say Sceptile would've most likely won if Libre didn't let loose her move in time to make it a draw."

"You mean because of the combo?" Hinata asked.

Kushina nodded. "While Libre was definitely powerful, it's usually moves like Sceptile's that win battles, at least for ninja. Sure, brute force can win easily enough, but it can be quite costly when you can't hit the target. That combo in particular acted as a wide-spread defensive measure as well as offensive, making it rather hard to hit him without the attack either dissipating or bouncing off in some manner."

Hinata blinked "Sounds like something the Hyuga could use."

Kushina then smirked "Outside of the bedroom, at least. Don't think I don't know what goes on behind closed doors with them."

Hinata blushed in partial embarrassment at being called out, Sayuki blushed in realization at what the red-head's word meant, while Nikorra got a minor nosebleed at the thought of her parents sharing a bed with Hinata's.

Hikari looked on in minor confusion, particularly thanks to this being the first she ever heard of it.

A half an hour later – a quick break – and things were back on course for the next match.

"And there's Gengar." Sayuki noted, pointing out the Pokemon as it made it's way onto the field. "Machamp's gonna have his work cut out for him."

Hinata raised an eyebrow at Sayuki. "Machamp's a girl."

Sayuki went slack-jawed at that statement. "Eh?!"

Nikorra and Hikari giggled. "Yeah, Sayuki. Some of the only ones who can't go both ways are the Magnemite and Porygon lines, and they don't have genders."

The Lucario Were'mon glowered at them, only serving to make the giggling grow into laughter at her expression.

The fight started then, with a pair of Machamp's fists becoming coated in ice while the other pair was fire, getting "Since when could Machamps do that?"

"I think that's probably why this particular Machamp signed up for the tournament." Kushina told her daughter. "Not exactly something anyone would really expect unless you used something such as Shadow Clones right before."

"How the hell does that work when it only has one mind?" Hinata couldn't help but deadpan, only for Kushina to shrug.

Sayuki was quick to agree with the woman. "Who cares, Hinata? It's still awesome."

The Espeon Were'mon had to acquiesce once she saw it kept Gengar completely on the defensive. Especially since we were told that Machamp's had at least the poten-WHOA!

Let's put it this way: while Gengar managed to dodge in time, Machamp just proved that her species can throw 1000 punches in two seconds flat.

Not something that was really expected- "HOLY SHIT!"

...nor was the Raikage and his brother shouting at of all people.

Though that last part made a lot of sense, seeing as they were officially some of the fastest ninja throughout the Nations, and yet they never did something like that.

Too bad it didn't stop "OW! Dammit, woman!" "Don't you 'Dammit, woman!' me!" coming from their location nor the lighthearted laughter that came from it.

Hikari whispered to Nikorra "That's one of the things that I should wait until I'm older for, right?"

"At least the 'holy shit' and 'dammit' parts." Nikorra returned. "If it requires slapping someone, just leave it to me or Granny. We're just simply big enough to actually slap them in the right spot: the back of their head."

Hikari nodded, accepting it.

However, it also seemed to be the opening needed for Gengar to turn the tables, via a giant tongue coming out of nowhere from behind Machamp and "Lick!"

While it did surprise them, that was about it before Machamp whirled around, only for it to disappear.

"Okay, seriously, today's matches have been more intense than yesterdays, despite the Z-moves, Mega Evolutions, and..." Nikorra looked at Sayuki in curiosity. "How did you do your Aura Storm?"

Sayuki could only shrug and say. "Maybe I somehow managed to use a Z-Move while Mega Evolved. Remember what Jiraiya told us about Sage Techniques that require being in Sage Mode?"

That makes a lot of sense. Was the general thought of all who heard her as they returned their attention to the match, just as Machamp managed to get a lucky shot in and "Submission!"

Gengar made it look like "Shadow Ball!" bounced right out of him once he hit the ground, knocking Machamp to the ground as well.

But just as Machamp got to the ground, she was suddenly swallowed up by a dark purple energy that made Machamp disappear for a few minutes before she reappeared with some scrapes and clear exhaustion. Gengar, on the other hand, was fine and dandy.

"Winner, Gengar." Zygarde called out, just as it was clear Machamp wasn't going to get up again. "Although we should give a big...make that a big round of applause for Machamp's effort and Gengar's help in getting Machamp to the infirmary."

No one hesitated in doing so (although a small part of the reasoning behind it was because they didn't exactly want to get what they had just seen turned towards them).

"Now we'll be taking a break to refresh and set things up for the Pokeathlon course later today. Until then."

Again, I'm REALLY sorry about the wait for this one. Major trouble trying to figure it out for some reason.

And at least in regards to the whole thing with Aura Storm Nikorra brought up, I'm referring to how Naruto in canon had to be in Sage Mode most of the time when using the Rasenshuriken.

That's all for now. Until next time, please R&R.
