Do You Still Love Her? :

Gordie and Ronaldo split ways as Gordie went with the Dipazzi twins to his place, while Ronaldo went home to his. He walked into his make shift lab feeling more frustrated then ever as he looked at the table with his chemicals, equipment, and appliances for chemistry on it. He hung his head, his fist clenching on the table, before he knocked the stuff all off, it shattering all over the floor.

Debbie had followed him in, closing the door behind her. She was silent the whole time as she watched him. She didn't know what to think as she watched him be so quiet or even about the conversation him and Gordie had with Kick and them. However, it frightened her when he knocked off all his chemistry supplies. She wasn't expecting him to do that. She watched as he just let out another frustrated breath, before stepping back and sitting in a lounge chair, taking off his glasses, rubbing his eyes. She folded her arms, swallowing as she stepped into the room.

"Can you answer me something…" Her voice was quiet. He glanced back at her, before letting out a breath.

"I'm surprised you're still here." He spoke. She stared at him.

"Why'd you do it?" She questioned. He got up, leaning forward on the table.

"What are you talking about?" He wanted clarification.

"You know what I'm talking about." She kept her focus on him.

"I really don't." He didn't look at her, as he kept his focus down.

"Damnit Ronaldo." She stepped forward. "Just….just answer me." She demanded. "Why'd you tell me to let them read you? Why did you….do you…. Do you love her?" She stared hard at him. He didn't respond. Which only made her feel more pain. "Answer me." She demanded again.

"I care deeply about her." He replied. "And….and I couldn't protect her or save her like I did you." He admitted. "Her father was a fucking ass and…I couldn't save her from him." He swallowed.

"So?" Debbie retorted. "Do you love her? Because she doesn't love you! She wants nothing to do with you! She…"

"Because I was a fucking coward who gave into her father." He countered. "I was a fucking coward who gave into London's threats and didn't defend her, I didn't protect her…I didn't….I was a fucking coward that's all I was." He argued. "She has every right to hate me. She has every right to not want anything to do with me." Debbie's eyes widened. "I couldn't save her. I couldn't protect her, and all I could do was hurt her. All I could do was add to her pain." He hated himself, slamming his fist into the table. "I am nothing more than a fucking coward." He insulted himself. "And I hate myself." He spoke. "Hate myself for everything I did."

"So…" Debbie breathed out. "Where does that leave us?" She asked. "If you love her….what…how do you…" She wondered. He let out his own breath.

"You're the only one I saved Debbie." Ronaldo commented. "And I don't regret that."

"But you regret hooking up with me." She said. "I bet you even blame me…"

"It wasn't your fault why we happened." He responded. "I was as much to blame." He stated. "Do I wish I stayed loyal, of course, but I care about you and was as much a participant in what happened." He recalled.

"That…that still doesn't tell me where we stand." She remarked. He kept looking down, letting out his own breath. She swallowed, as she waited for him to answer, the silence beginning to weigh on her. "Ronaldo?" She questioned. He was quiet for a few more minutes, which was maddening to her as she just stared at him.

"I…I don't know." He finally whispered. She thought she might break hearing that. "I care about her. However, I screwed up, and she'll hate me forever because of my cowardice." He admitted. "And I saved you and care about you. Probably one of the only few good things I have done in my life." He continued. "But I just….I don't know." He told her. She swallowed.

"Do…do you want…want us still to be together?" She asked. "Do you….even love me?"

"It's your choice if you stay Debbie." He replied. "I won't stop you if you leave." Her eyes widened when she heard that. "However….there's….I have a lot to work through….and…I just….I won't stop you from leaving." She wasn't expecting him to say that.

"If I leave…I might not come back." She told him.

"I realize." He knew this. She was saddened, as she did a swallow, before letting out a breath. She started to head out. "Debbie…" She stopped. "Just know…" She turned to face him, as he finally glanced at her. "I do care about you…I just…I need time….I think…we both do…" He turned his head back around. "I don't want to be a coward anymore."

"I never thought you were." She informed him. "But….I understand." She let out another breath. "Goodbye." She started to walk out. "And don't worry, I'll stay away from London too." She whispered loud enough as she left. He let out a sigh as he looked down, before sitting back on his chair, grabbing his glasses and putting them back on. He leaned back, rubbing his temple as he just stared at the mess, his mind wondering.
