Author's Notes: I know it has been forever and a day since I posted and I'm sorry about that. I've been going through a lot of personal things, and I know this isn't my longest chapter, but I tried to make it as long as I can without taking from chapter 35. I hope you enjoy and thank you for the reviews! I appreciate them!
World Tour
Chapter 34 - Sydney
(Ashley's POV)
I'm glad Spencer decided on a bodyguard. Greyson will be a good fit for our trio. Spencer is excited for him to start working with us. John is going to brief him on everything while we are on our small vacation. John dropped us off not too long ago. We are at a cabin for a couple of days. I'm excited for this secluded time together. Time away from cameras and prying eyes is always a good thing. I love these small vacations that we get to take together. There probably won't be very many of these, but I'll be glad when we do get them. I hope we can take a long one after our tour is over and before the holidays start. Maybe even another one after the new year before we must go back to work. I hope the label says yes to our proposal.
Spencer and I have a video conference with the label in the morning at 9. It will be 4 pm in L.A. There isn't a big window for us to have a conference with the U.S right now, not when factoring in business hours. Being 17 hours ahead isn't helping and I want to get this approved as soon as possible. I want it on paper as soon as I can get it so the label can't back out. I don't want to wait until we are back in L.A. Spencer, and I are too busy when we get back to Cali once again. I am finally meeting them about my contract. Hopefully, when we meet it'll be just to sign the agreement Spencer and I present them with. The next tour will promote us as a whole instead of two individual people. I would love to be able to continue collaborating with her after this tour is over. We make an excellent team, and our songs together are even better. Plus, our fans and everyone else seem to love them. The other two songs we did stayed at number one for a long time. I can't tell you how long off the top of my head, but Spencer could. That woman remembers everything. I only remember the most important things like my songs or her information. Everything else can take a back burner. I'm content with that.
"Baby?" I hear Spencer call out.
"Yes, love?" I yell as I put the last bit of the food away. Spencer went to look around the place and put our bags in our room while I put our groceries away. It is towards the end of winter here in Sydney. It's a bit cold outside especially being in the mountains. We went from Wintertime to Springtime to Summertime and back to Winter in 7 months. Touring the world in a year takes a toll on your body not just because of all the traveling, but also the change in seasons, and the time differences. It all factors in.
"I need your help?" Spencer calls out again.
"With?" I holler back, but I get no reply. "Where are you?" I scream. Still no answer. I quickly start making rounds through the house and all the rooms. I need to remember to never get a big house like this again for just the two of us. I feel like it's endless and I'm not going to be able to find her. I finally make it to the room designated as ours.
"Hey." Spencer says lightly. I glance around the room.
"How? When... Um..." I can't speak. There are rose petals all over the floor and bed. There are a couple of small tealight candles in little cups of water. The dim light is illuminating Spencer in a light that makes her look so beautiful. Don't get me wrong, my woman is always gorgeous. I love being able to see her in all these diverse ways.
"My bathroom trip at the store wasn't actually to the bathroom." The blonde shyly stood in front of me admits.
"So, what exactly is all this? You know this trip is to celebrate your birthday, right?" I smirk at her as I make my way closer.
"Sometimes you just deserve so much more than I can offer you..."
"I..."
"Let me finish." Spencer cuts me off after I cut her off. "You have been this amazing, delightful, considerate, enthusiastic, helpful, beautiful, sweet. You have been so much more special than I could have ever thought I would find in another human being. You brighten my world in a way that I could have only dreamt would happen. We may be here celebrating my birthday, but I am here celebrating you because we wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. If you weren't this amazing person, we wouldn't have made it this far in the world we live in, and I need you to know how much just being here with me every day means to me. The support you give me day in and day out." Spencer admits with a small smile on her face. I watch her bring her hands up to my cheeks and start wiping my tears away. I hadn't realized I was crying. Her words were so touching.
"That was the nicest, sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. I've only ever been this way with you. It's just that simple for me. I don't know where this romantic, sweet, cute, supportive relationship-going person came from, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Being with you anywhere is exactly where I want to be." I pull Spencer into a long slow passionate kiss.
"Are you okay?" Spencer pulls back once again wiping the tears from my cheeks. I nod my head lightly not being able to speak.
"I'm incredibly happy." I whisper resting my forehead against hers.
"I couldn't agree more," Spencer whispers back. Spencer begins humming a tone that I don't think I've heard before and we slowly start moving.
"You know I remember a moment similar to this one, that made..."
"Us realize we were falling?" Spencer says cutting me off. "Do you think people ever stop falling?"
"I think, you only stop falling when the relationship has hit the end of its course. It's the only thing that makes sense." I whisper placing my head down on her shoulder. We continue to slowly move, wrapped in each other's arms. "What are you humming? I don't think I've heard it before." I add lightly.
"Just this new melody I've been messing with."
"I like it. It's soft. Piano?" I wonder. Spencer nods her head. "Do you have lyrics yet?" I ask moving slowly around the room in each other's arms.
"No, I was thinking we could work on some together. Even if the label doesn't allow us to make an album together, we can still make one. Or at least continue writing hits together." Spencer whispers with her head laying on my shoulder.
"Hm. You do always have great points." I whisper back. "Where is somewhere you have always wanted to go or see?" I quietly question as we continue slow dancing.
"Um, the northern lights in Finland." Spencer answers after a couple of seconds. She didn't take long to decide on her answer. "What about you?"
"Zermatt, which is in Switzerland, and/or Ruka, which is in Finland. They are a couple of the best places in the world to snowboard. If we went to Ruka one day we could get two things done in one trip."
"I don't understand how you are scared of heights, yet you will fly down a steep ass mountain." Spencer says giggling.
"My feet stay on the ground." I exclaim.
"They don't when you take those lifts." Spencer throws back.
"The ride down is worth the 5/10 minutes of anxiety." I explain. "Would you ever go skydiving?"
"Probably." Spencer says with a shrug of her shoulders.
"I fell in love with a crazy woman." I giggle out. Spencer pulls back slightly glaring into my eyes. I give her a small smile.
"Sometimes you are lucky I adore you so much."
"I am incredibly lucky." I whisper before meeting my lips lightly on her right cheek. "What is your biggest fear for our relationship?" I ask another question. Spencer pulls back from my shoulder once again and looks me in the eyes.
"Are we playing 20 questions… wait or is it 21." Spencer pauses. I open my mouth to respond, but the blonde cut me off. "That's not important."
"I'm not playing anything. I would like some answers to things that I don't know yet. I'd like to get to know you even better. What better way to do that than while we are M.I.A from the world, just the two of us?"
"You have a point. My biggest fear for our relationship?" Spencer pauses and rests her head back on my shoulder. Her hand goes into the back of my hair gripping lightly and her other arm holding my side tighter. "It would be losing you. Us ending. I'm already too attached for this to be painless if I lost you." Spencer whispers snuggling her face into my neck. I wrap my arms tighter around her body, pulling her so close that there is no space in-between us.
"I'd do anything I could to keep us together. I don't want to lose you either. Looks like you are stuck with me." I smirk into the side of her blonde hair.
"Like I've told you before; I'm okay with that. Sticking with the same topic, I have a question. What about our relationship makes you incredibly happy?"
"Honestly, everything. Being able to be with you every single day is the best. I love everything about you even when you want to be a pain in the ass and stubborn as hell." I lightly giggle while Spencer shakes her head against my chest.
"I don't think there is just one thing that makes me happy. I think it's a mixture of things. Things that make you, well you."
"What is a habit/quirk that would want to stop, but know you aren't going to? What do you think I'd say mine is?"
"I think mine would be flicking my tongue all the time. It even drives me crazy sometimes. I would say yours would be the way you bite your lip so aggressively when you are overthinking or spacing out."
"Damn, I should stop biting things. Mine, to me, would be biting my nails. I think it's fucking gross. It is a horrible quirk to have. Yours would be the tongue-flicking. I mean unless…" Spencer pulls out of my arms so fast that I almost lost my balance.
"Don't even finish that sentence." Spencer squeaks out, poking her index finger into my upper chest, right under my collarbone. I laugh grabbing her hand and spinning her in a circle. Her back ends up pressed into my front.
"You know for someone who is not shy at all in bed is sure shy out of it."
"Anyways…" Spencer says dramatically as she walks into the kitchen. I lean against the door frame as I watch her move around.
"What are you doing?" I ask. Spencer sends me a smile and continues pulling different things out of the cupboards.
"It's my question, not yours. Do you think we would have gotten along in high school?"
"Hm, I think so. I was an asshole like your ex. You met her in high school and started dating so yes." I answer winking at the blonde. Spencer shakes her head and starts her movements again.
"No, I don't think so. I was incredibly quiet and to myself. You were popular and loud. Also, an ass…"
"You love this ass now." I smirk cutting the younger woman off.
"ASHLEY!" Spencer exclaims. I bite my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing. I walk behind the blonde and wrap my arms around her waist. I rest my forehead on the back of her shoulder.
"You always get so flustered when I bring up anything remotely sexual." I let out a light giggle and kiss the backside of her neck. I watch the blonde turn her head slightly and glare at me through the corner of her eye. "I love it. You are the complete opposite when we are in the moment. It's like two different people."
"You do know that you are the same way too, right?" Spencer throws back as she turns in my arms. Her blue eyes meet with the brown ones I have. I give her a small smile.
"Well, there's just something about you that brings out this shy and very nervous woman in me. Sometimes I don't know what to do with it. I've never experienced anything like it before." I admit lightly while rubbing my thumb over her cheek.
"I know I asked the last question, but I have another one. I'll let you go twice next. Do you have any expectations for or of our relationship?" Spencer asks shyly.
"Other than our relationship never coming to an end and that we are always happy together? I hope that you never realize that love made you blind and that's why you're with me for so long. I'll never understand why you see me the way you do." I proclaim. Spencer quickly pulls out of my arms. I watch the blonde singer quickly walk from the room. I follow not too far behind her. Spencer is franticly looking through her stuff.
"Did you grab my guitar from the car? Do you know where my red bag is?" Spencer asks quickly while turning in circles. I grab both from the floor on the right side of the dresser. I watch her pull a notebook and pencil out along with her phone from her pocket. She gets out her acoustic and sits down on the foot of the bed with her guitar in her lap. The notebook on the bed in front of her with her phone and pencil on it. Something inspired her. I don't say anything. I quietly watch her prepare herself. Spencer takes a deep breath before hitting record on her phone and setting it next to the notebook. She writes on the top of the page 'Love Makes You Blind'. The pen gets placed in-between her teeth as she begins to strum her guitar. She plays around with a few different cords before she finds a rhythm.
D, Bm, G, A, D, Bm, G, A, D. She plays with those cords for a few minutes trying to get a feeling of the little changes she has made.
"Well, if (D) love makes you blind
I (BM) hope you never ever open up your eyes
Where (G) I see the flaws and scars, you see perfection
Some (A) how you smooth all my rough edges
And I'll never know (D) why you see me in this light
But I thank God (BM) every day, every (G) night
Girl, (A) love makes you (D) blind'
Spencer stops playing and jots down the cords and a few words before starting her cords again. I love watching her play and create. The concentration and determination across her face make it so much more soothing and amazing to watch. It is one of the cutest things I have ever seen in my life. Spencer stops and starts playing a few times never singing again. She still writes a few words on the page before she starts again. Crossing out a couple here and there. I think I have something this time.
'Got a short fuse, when I let loose, I'm zero to a hundred
Got a mind and a mouth on me, and it always says what's on it
But you find the peace
Where I look for war
And when you should've had enough of me, you want more
Well, if love makes you…'
I stop singing when Spencer stops playing. She has a bright smile on her face. I give her a nose-crinkling smile in return.
"I think that will be a good first verse." Spencer says writing more words onto her page. "Let's start with your verse then go into the chorus and then hopefully one of us will have more after that." Spencer adds before she starts playing again. We start to sing together. After finishing the chorus, we stop signing, but Spencer continues to play. I am so stuck staring into her eyes that I forget that I was supposed to be figuring out the next part of the song. I think Spencer catches this because she sends me a shy smile before looking down at her hands moving along the strings. I see her close her eyes.
On my worst days, yeah, you say I'm the best thing that's happened
To your life and when I'm crying only you get me laughing
I'm a handful to handle, but you do it well
It's like you're hypnotized walkin' 'round under my spell
Well, if love makes you blind…'
Spencer continues to play as she is humming the rest of the chorus.
'Don't know what I ever did to deserve this from you
But I hope you're always looking at me from this point of view
cause from my point of view
Baby, love makes you blind
And I hope you never ever open up your eyes (Open up your eyes)
Where I see the flaws and scars, you see perfection
Somehow you smooth all my rough edges
And I'll never know why you see me in this light
But I thank God every day, every night
Girl, love makes you blind
Hey
No, No, No
Girl, love makes you blind'
Spencer finally looks up at me when she stops playing.
"I think that bet our last record on how fast we write a song together." Spencer says with a small giggle.
"You mean you write a song alone. I said like 10 words if that." I giggle back. I stand and walk over to her. I move the guitar onto the bed and pull her up. Spencer wraps her arms around my shoulders. I meet our lips together as I drag her body closer to mine.
(The Next Morning)
Spencer and I spent the rest of the day and most of the night in bed, loving every single minute of our uninterrupted time together. Sometimes I wish we were just normal people living normal lives. I wish we didn't have millions of people watching our every single move. I am sitting at the table with my coffee in hand while Spencer is messing with the laptop. She is preparing for our skype meeting with the label heads. I told her we could use skype on one of our phones or even facetime and she wasn't having. She wanted us both to fit comfortably in the frame. I see that Spencer is close to getting everything ready, so I grab our cups to refill them before we call Ethan. I sit back down this time on the right to Spencer who is signing into her profile. I place her cup in front of her and place a light kiss on her cheek. Spencer gives me a shy smile and then goes back to the laptop screen in front of her. We spent several hours devouring each other in the best ways possible and this woman is shy because I kiss her cheek. The small things make everything so much better. I love that I can get her to blush deeply with just a kiss on the cheek. I love that I can get a shy reaction out of her with a few simple words. The blonde woman sitting next to me is the best thing to ever come into my life. I hope she never leaves it. I promise myself at this moment as I watch this woman lightly bite her lips as she concentrates on her task that I will do everything in my power to make sure she is always next to me. In everything, we do in our lives, for the rest of our lives. I know we haven't been together long, but I know she is the one for me. I know she is it. I will never find someone better than this gorgeous and amazing woman.
"Stop staring at me like that." Spencer says calmly. The younger woman never once looked at me.
"How do you know how I'm looking at you? You haven't looked at me in minutes." I exclaim. Spencer giggles and turns her head to look at me.
"I've been around you long enough to feel your looks. I don't need to be looking at you to know." The woman beside me says patting her hand on my thigh. I glance down at her hand and then back up, her eyes meeting mine with a clever smirk in her eyes.
"Hm. I don't mind you knowing every single damn part of me. It just means you are even more stuck with me than two seconds ago." I throw back the same cocky clever smirk.
"It wouldn't be being stuck if I will choose you every single day… for the rest of mine." Spencer sends me a wink before hitting a couple of keys on her laptop. I stare at the side of her face while I know mine is turning a reddish color. The blush takes over as I process that she also thinks about spending the rest of our lives together. A smile on my face as I place a hand on her thigh and squeeze lightly. Spencer gives me a wide smile as she glances between her phone and laptop filling out the needed info to get put into the right video conference. She is on zoom and not skype. "You ready?" The blonde asks taking my hand from her thigh and intertwining our fingers. I give her a slight nod. Within seconds we are met with a blank screen. It says 'Ethan Marks' his camera and microphone are off. Spencer pushes the camera and mic at the bottom turning ours off until the start of the meeting.
"You think we should let them guild this meeting, or should we?" I ask while we wait for our bosses to join us.
"We will let them start then go from there like usual. I think at some point anyways they are going to hint around to your contract ending at the end of this tour. After the award show, we will be on the last leg of the tour. They are going to want to have some clue whether you will be signing again or not. This is going to be a big thing. You think you are okay just walking away if they don't go for it?"
"I have other plans in my life so yes, I will. I just am excited to work exclusively with you. I want us to produce and write this album together if they go for it. If they for some reason don't, when your contract ends, we can make it together by ourselves. I don't see why they wouldn't a joint album would make them tons of money. Our singles are making them tons of money. They'd be stupid as hell not to agree to this. I think they will want me to make another album of my own those for them to agree with this. I don't think I will be able to just do our album. The luck that would be though." I laugh lightly as Spencer smiles nodding her head agreeing with me.
"Ms. Carlin, Ashley." Ethan says as his face pops up on the screen. Spencer glares at the man before putting a fake smile on her face. I've picked up over the last few months that Spencer doesn't like how 'friendly' Ethan seems with me. She hasn't said anything. I've just come to learn when Spencer doesn't like certain things. Like when someone is flirting with me.
"Mr. Marks. Mr. McCoy." I say as Spencer just keeps a smile on her face. I squeeze her hand which causes Spencer to nod in greeting.
"First thing on our agenda today is your joint performance at the MTV music awards. You will be performing third, right after the fifth award has been given out. Also, you will be presenting an award together which will be the ninth award given and it will be for Best New Artist. You are both up for best collaboration and Best Pop Video for your lady's song 'Perfect'. Ashley, you are being nominated for your album 'Living on the line' and Artist of the year. Spencer, you are also up for Artist of the year and for Song of the year for 'I Hope'. You won't have a lot of time between your performance and Artist of the Year. You will have 5 minutes to get changed and into your seats before the nominations for Best Collaboration. I was instructed to make sure you are in your seats so they can flash you across the screen. Pick your outfits appropriately. I did have it arranged for you to have a dressing room together. You'll get ready at home for the red carpet then your people will meet you in your dressing room to prepare you for your performance. Make sure you wear proper make-up so you will only need touch-ups all night. We won't have time for a whole new re-do. Your performance will be 8 minutes long. You have two songs out together so I think you should just do both and call it good…"
"We have been working on another song together. I think it can be our third single together. I can perform parts of our first two singles and then introduce our new one. What do you think?" Spencer explains cutting Travis off. Travis and Ethan mute their microphone. I watch the screen for a minute before turning to Spencer.
"Doesn't look like it's a no, right?" I say with a giggle. Spencer shrugs her shoulders and turns back to the screen.
"I can never tell with them two. They hardly show any emotion unless they are pissed off." Spencer says never taking her eyes off the men on the screen. Ethan is making notes and Travis talks. After what felt like ever, they finally unmuted themselves.
"I want the final draft of the new song recorded and on my desk first thing after you get back to L.A for the Award show. You will be back on the 12th, so I want the song no later than the morning of the 14th. The show is on the 19th. We will need enough time to make sure I think the song will do well and know it's a good song to bring out at this magnitude. That sound good to you or would you like to do Perfect and…"
"Give into me." I tell them the name of our other song.
"Right." Travis says looking at Ethan. I think he lost where he was at.
"I think that covered the Award show unless you had anything else to add?" Ethan asked. I shook my head and Spencer gave them a voiced 'no'.
"Spencer, your album release party is scheduled for the…" Travis pauses once again shuffling through his papers. "Do you know where…" Travis starts.
"It's scheduled for her birthday on the 22nd at 8 because her album will be released at 9 pm Pacific Standard Time, midnight Eastern time. Right before 9, you are going to be bringing out a cake and singing Spence happy birthday before introducing her to give her speech right as her album drops." I say with a smile. Glen sent Spencer and me a copy of the schedule for that day. Spencer's birthday is mostly about work, which is why I wanted this little getaway now. I have more amazing plans for the day of though. Spencer gives me a sigh smile for remembering her schedule on that day. I squeeze her hand once again and look back at the screen.
"Here it is. Sorry about that. I was more prepared than this." Travis sent a quick glare to Ethan. Ethan most have been messing with the order of his papers. I swear he does it almost every meeting. I have heard Travis yell at him so many times after meeting because he messed with his paperwork. I think Ethan does it on purpose. There is no way he can get yelled at that much and still do it.
"We can give you a few minutes to get back into order and make notes. I could use another cup of coffee." I say shaking my cup. Mr. McCoy gives his okay and shuts down the camera and microphone. Spencer mutes and shuts ours off before handing me her cup.
"Please?" She says as I grab it from her.
"Of course." I reply. I kiss the top of her head as I walk by her.
"I have concluded that Kyla is right." Spencer giggles as I walk away.
"About what?" I holler from the kitchen.
"We are grossly cute, sometimes."
"Hm, I enjoy it. Makes me happier." I throw back as I set her coffee down next to her hand that is tapping on the table.
"Don't get me wrong, I fucking love it. But she is right though. I didn't notice it before she kept pointing it out." Spencer admits with a small smile on her face as she blows on her coffee.
"Are you ladies ready for our next topic?" Ethan asks as they fill our screen once again.
"Yes." Spencer says turning everything back on.
"Next topic, we can wait to discuss in person if you want to do this alone, Ms. Davies."
"My contract. We can discuss it now. This next conversation involves Spencer anyways." I declare. Travis gives me a soft smile. Ethan slightly frowns before trying to quickly cover it up. I can see Spencer make a sour face and groan before quickly covering it up with a cough after I squeezed her hand.
"Ms. Carlin, are you okay with being present during this time." Travis asks.
"Yes, sir."
"Okay, after this tour ends so does your contract, Ashley. I'm sure you know your contract in and out so we would go over it fully. We will just discuss whether you are signing another contract or not. You are still flying high with your fans. They have been loving your new sound and music. Other artists have been loving your songs. Since this year started you have written more number 1 hits than ever before. Spencer is the only artist with more. I think you are still in your prime Ashley, and it would be stupid to walk away right now." The mostly gray-haired older man says then looks up at me. Making eye contact through the camera.
"I would like to discuss Spencer and I doing a joint album and then another tour before I talk about another contract."
"Um, I don't think that would be a good idea. Spencer is still under contr…"
"I know her contract as well as I know mine. I'm not asking for her to get out of anything. She will still fulfill her contract. There is no question here. I would like you to push her next album out a year so we can work on a joint album and have another world tour together next year. I was thinking we could work on the album during the first few months of the year. Release it in May sometime and have a June tour start. We can tour the last six months of the year."
"I don't like this idea at all. I think we will end up losing a lot of money if we keep you guys' together next year." Ethan chimes in.
"To be honest, I won't sign another contact otherwise. I will give you another album and solo tour the following year if you do this. If not, you will lose me altogether and will lose even more money." I admit sternly.
"Give me two years two tours and albums and you have yourself a deal." Travis throws back.
"I will only do that if I can have six months off before I start recording my last album. At that point I would have been working for the last few years with only a couple of weeks to a month off. Before my 'farewell' tour and album I want some time off." I fill them in.
"What if Spencer isn't off at that time?" Ethan asks.
"You won't have me under contract still. I only owe you one more tour and album and you agree to this. My solo tour will be the only thing pushed back. I will still be working by myself next year to get my last album out even if I am finishing our joint tour next year and immediately starting my solo tour." Spencer declares glaring at Ethan.
"Whether Spencer is on your tour or has time off two that is between Spencer and me. We will figure our time together out. I'm talking about joint stuff and what I want for myself. Whether you decide or not with Spencer other than our joint tour and album is between you, but not giving her some time off between tours I think would be very bad for business and wanting to sign her again if that's the play you are going for. As Travis said, the only one who seems to be doing better than me is my lovely woman sitting next to me. I don't think the way you are coming about this is very good business. But what do I know? I'm just an artist."
"Ashley, I will start drawing up the contract and have it ready for your lawyers to look over before we set up a meeting to sign it once everything seems to be figured out correctly. Spencer, I have no other stipulation for you. We will discuss things as they come up. Right now, I am not asking for any contract extensions. We will go down that road once we get closer to it. Ashley is right though. It would be bad business for us to treat you poorly just because our two top-selling artists are dating and would like the same time off. It might not be exactly what Ashley is asking, but we will figure something out that would help everyone involved. I'm sure you will need some time off also. Touring takes a lot out of people and your guy's shows aren't low maintenance. I know there is a lot of dancing and lights and such involved. I will keep that all in mind when it comes to time off for both of you. As soon as this tour is over and the fall award shows start, I want to start promoting your joint album. Little talks of it here and there to get it in people's ears and get fans excited that it could be a possibility then after the new year we will release your first song from the joint album. I want to hire a photographer/videographer to be in the studio with you. Maybe get fans more hyped about it by showing a little bit of how your album comes together and how you worked together. What do you think?"
"I think that is a brilliant idea." Spencer says smiling at me.
"I think so also. More ways to promote everything. Good planning already." I agree. Our meeting lasted maybe 10 more minutes. Talks about the little details of something coming up for us or little questions we had about something else. More talk about Spencer's album release party.
(2 ½ days later)
Spencer's POV
Our couple days away to celebrate my birthday were amazing. We had the best time. No one knew where we were or how to get a hold of us because after our meeting everything went off. We got most of the song done for the award show. I got more writing done. We are started a few melodies for other songs we will be writing together. Spend hours rolling around on the bed in-between writing sessions and quick breaks to take care of ourselves. This time off was a must for us. I fell even more in love with that amazing woman. This has been the best time of my life so far and I can't wait for it to continue. Ashley is on stage and I'm waiting for her to get off because she is going to be getting an ear full. After sitting with her in her dressing room while she got ready and went on. I went to mine only to find out that all my tour clothes were switched out with hoodies and sweats. I think there were a couple of pairs of leggings. All my make-up bags were filled with fake snakes. My make-up was nowhere in sight. I'm also missing my favorite guitar. That doesn't go to the stage until I do every single night I play. I don't trust anyone else with it. Ashley's song ended and she quickly glances at me before smiling out at the audience.
"So, I think I pissed off my girlfriend." Ashley admits smiling at me once again. I see a camera show my face on the screens around the stage and a big one right behind Ashley. I shake my head at her and glare.
"What'd you do now?" I hear a few people yell. Ashley lets out a laugh before winking at me.
"You'll see soon enough. I love you, Spencer. No matter what you wear. Make-up or not. This next song is for you. I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your favorite guitar for this occasion." Ashley sent me another wink. I shake my head and glare at my girlfriend once again before walking away from the stage. I love her but I didn't miss these damn pranks.
(A Couple Hours Later)
"As you can see, this will be my outfit for tonight. My lovely girlfriend who will be sleeping alone tonight decided to pull another prank and she has taken all my outfits for concerts and switched them out with hoodies and sweats, a couple of pairs of leggings which I am not a big fan of. Ashley loves them though. I was able to get some make-up though. It would have been smart if Ashley hid hers. Anyways, I hope you don't mind the sweats and hoodie for the night. Jokes on her though because I won't be able to dance in this hoodie all night. I'll get too hot." I smirk over at the brunette grasping at me. I slightly lift my hoodie showing I have no shirt on underneath.
"WOOOAAAAHHHHH!"
"I think everyone is ready for me to take this off already." I wink once again before placing my mic on the stand and start pulling my arm out of the sleeve.
"Oh no, you won't." I hear Ashely yell. I tell the audience what she says, and everyone laughs. I see Ashley walking onto the stage quickly a few moments later. "Here!" Ashley exclaims handing me one of my shirts.
"So, my clothes are still in this building?" I inquire.
"No, but I did save this one because I just knew you'd pull this." Ashley admits. I smile. Of course, she knew. Why wouldn't she? She knows me better than anyone. Ashley turned towards the microphone. "I will play one of my older songs while Spencer quickly gets changed. I think her band will know something." I watch Ashley talk to my band before she walks back over to me. "You have a couple of pairs of jeans in my dressing room and a couple more shirts if you want to go change while I play this song to keep them occupied for you. I wasn't going to have to do a concert in sweats and a hoodie. I love you." The rockstar brunette admitted. I shook my head and kissed her lightly.
"I love you too babe. I hope you know if you didn't give me the best sex these last couple of days you would be sleeping alone tonight." I tease which causes her to groan. I smile and wink before waving at the audience as I make my way to Ashley's dressing room. That woman is going to be the death of me in the best and worst ways possible. I love every single minute of this though.
