Chapter 6

3rd POV

I don't own Harry Potter. That right goes to J.K. Rowling

"Here's where you'll get your quills and ink, and over there all your bits and bobs for doing witchcraft." Hagrid says pointing to the different stores in the Alley.

Athena was amazed as the two walked past the shops and owls, before it showed a group of boys crowded outside a shop looking at a broom that was on display.

"How am I going to pay for all, Hagrid?" Athena asks knowing that she doesn't have any money.

"Well, there's your money, Athena." Hagrid says pointing to a building that they were walking to. "Gringotts, the wizard bank. T'aint no place safer, 'cept perhaps Hogwarts."

As they are walking through the bank, there are little creatures sitting at the desks all around the room. "Uh, Hagrid, what exactly are these things?" Athena said looking around the room.

"They're goblins, Athena. Clever as they come goblins, but not the most friendly of beasts. Best stick close to me." Hagrid says making Athena get closer to the big man. "Ms. Athena Potter wishes to make a withdrawal."

"And does Ms. Athena Potter has her key?" The goblin asks looking up from what it was looking at.

"Oh. Wait a minute. Got it here somewhere. Haha. There's the little devil." Hagrid says before whispering, "Oh, and there's something else as well. Professor Dumbledore gave me this. It's about you-know-what in the vault you-know-which." Hagrid says giving the goblin the letter.

"Very well." The goblin says before calling over another goblin to take the two to the vaults.

"Vault 687. Lamp, please. Key, please." The goblin, Griphook, says turning to the two.

When Griphook got the vault open for them to see, Athena was shocked to see the amount of coins in the vault.

"Didn't think that your mum and dad left you nothing now, did ya?" Hagrid says smiling at Athena's shocked look. After grabbing a couple of handfuls of coins, they continued onto the next stop they had to make before they could get Athena's supplies.

"Vault 713." Griphook said opening the vault.

"What's in there, Hagid?" Athena questioned curiously watching Hagid put the thing in his pocket.

"Uh-oh, now you've done it. She's got that look in her eyes." Ron teased chuckling a bit knowing what I was going to do.

"What look?" Blaise Zabini questions confused as to what Ron was talking about.

"When Athena gets curious about something she gets this look in her eyes that basically says 'I'm going to find out what it is and I'm not going to stop until I do', so when you see that look be warned she will not stop until she finds out what it is." Hermione answers Blaise knowing that Ron and I weren't going to be able to answer it.

"Y'all should have just told her what it was because you know that she's going to find out anyway." Ron says, looking at Athena, which makes her burrow down into Draco.

"Hey, you know that I love when you get that look. You know why, baby?" Draco questions looking down at his girlfriend.

"Why?" Athena asks softly looking up at her boyfriend.

"Because it tells me that you would do anything to make sure that everyone else is safe and you are determined to help everyone. And I love that about you." He answers looking at Athena in the eyes with some much love in his eyes that made her give a kiss with some much passion that they forgot that there were people around them.

"I love you, Draco Lucius Malfoy." Athena whispers pulling away from the kiss to lean her forehead against his.

"I love you, Athena Jasmine Potter." Draco says, giving her a kiss on the forehead before looking back in her emerald green eyes.

Everyone around them was just looking at them knowing that the two of them are going to be together forever, that nothing is going to get in the way of that. Sirius was looking at his goddaughter and cousin with a fond look, like he was looking at his magic brother and friend. Knowing that Athena's good hands, he's okay with her dating Draco even if he is a Malfoy.

"Can't tell you, Athena. It's Hogwarts business. Very secret." Hagid says looking down at her.

"Stand back." Griphook says before sliding his finger down the door to reveal a small white package.

"Best not to mention this to anyone, Athena." Hagrid says after grabbing the package. Making Athena nod in agreement.

Hagrid and Athena were walking around the Alley checking things off the supplies list with only one thing left on the list. A wand.

"I still need… a wand." Athena said looking down at the list.

"She's getting her wand, Remus. We've missed so much." Sirius says quietly, in tears about missing her first time getting her wand.

"I know, but we get to watch her get her wand that better than nothing." Remus said, looking at Athena, cuddling up to Draco Malfoy.

"Yea that's one good thing about this." All Sirius said before turning to look at the movie.

"A wand? Well, you'll want Olivanders." Hagrid said, pointing to the store. "No place better. Run along there, but wait. I just got one more thing I got to do. Won't be long."

"Hello? Hello?" Athena says softly after walking into the store. When a noise comes from the side, she turns to it where she sees a man.

"I wondered when I'd be seeing you, Ms. Potter. It seems only yesterday that your mother and father were in here buying their first wands." Olivander says before picking a wand for Athena to try. "Ah. here we are. Well, give it a wave. Apparently not. Perhaps this. No, no, definitely not! No matter." Ollivander goes to the back behind the counter for a wand. "I wonder. Curious, very curious."

"Sorry, but what's curious?" Athena said, looking from her wand to the shop owner.

"I remember every wand I have ever sold, Mr. Potter. It just so happens that the phoenix, whose tail feather resides in your wand, gave one other feather, just one. It is curious that you should be destined for this wand when your brother gave that scar." Ollivander said pointing at Athena's scar on her wrist. (I know that the scar is on Harry's forehead, but with this being Athena Potter instead of Harry Potter I want to make the scar on her wrist.)

"And… who owned that wand?" Athena asks hesitantly looking down at her scar.

"Oh, we don't speak his name. The wand chooses the witch, Ms. Potter. It's not always clear why, but I think that we can expect great things from you. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things… terrible, yes, but great." Ollivander said handing Athena her wand back.

Athena hears a knock on the window, "Athena! Athena! Happy birthday!" Hagrid says before lifting his arm to show a beautiful white snowy owl. Whose name is Hedwig.

"Wow." Athena whispers softly amazed.

Later that night the two of them were sitting in the common area of The Leaky Cauldron eating, but everything is quiet, a little too quiet. Hagrid notices this too making him ask, "You all right, Athena? You seem quiet."

"He killed my parents, didn't he? That one who gave me this. You know, Hagrid, I know you do." Athena says looking up from her bowl of soup.

"First, and understand this, Athena, 'cause it's very important. Not all witches and wizards are good. Some of them go bad. A few years ago, there was one wizard who went as bad as you can go. And his was V-... his name was V-..." Hagrid tried to say but couldn't.

"Maybe if you wrote it down?" Athena suggested.

"No, I can't spell it. All right. Voldemort." He said quietly not wanting to scare anyone.

"Voldemort?" Athena said confused.

"Shh!" Hagrid shushes trying to keep the girl quiet. Making Athena look around to see if anyone heard them.

"It was dark times, Athena, dark times. Voldemort started to gather some followers, bringing 'em over to the dark side. Anyone that stood against him ended up dead. Your parents fought against him, but nobody lived once he decided to kill 'em. Nobody… not on. 'Cept you." Hagrid said sadly since he lost some friends due to the war.

Everyone had seen flashes of the night that James and Lily Potter were killed and how they fought to protect Athena. Everyone had tears in thriller eyes because they lost two friends that night. Sirius and Remus were crying, Athena was full on bawling because she has had dreams of that night ever since she could remember, she has dreamt of that night her whole life. Draco had tears rolling down his face because he was the only person that knew that Athena remembered that night.

Sirius and Remus had turned to look at their goddaughter only to see her bawling, making them get up and hug her for having to see that night. "I'm sorry you had to see what happened that night, puppy." Sirius said kissing her head while holding her tight.

"I have always remembered that night, snuffles." Athena said laying her head on his chest wrapping her arms around him tightly not wanting to let go.

"What do you mean you remember that night?" Padfoot questions looking down at her.

"I have dreamt of that night since I was able to remember what I would dream about. And the Dursleys weren't making it better." Athena answered sadly.

"Well you are not going back there, I don't care what Dumbledore says you should have been with me from the beginning, but that couldn't happen because I went after Pettigrew instead of taking care of you. I can promise you that you will be with me from here on out." Sirius promises squeezing me with his chin on her head. But what they don't know is that they have the whole Great Hall's attention. Their display of the love that they share, only really knowing each other for a week, shows that they have a very strong bond with each other.

"Okay that works. I would love to live with you, snuffles. But will we have to live in your childhood home? You've told me a little about your childhood." Athena questions looking up at her godfather and best friend.

"No we will not be going to my childhood home, when we are able to leave the castle we will be going straight to Gringotts where we will do an inheritance. All an inheritance does is show you what lordships, properties, and if you have any blocks and potions in your system. So from there when the properties are shown we will choose a place and we will live there. We will also read your parents' will." Sirius explained to me about what will be doing when all of the movies are shown.

"Okay, let's do that, but right now let's get back to the movies." Athena said, pulling away from her godfather.

"Yeah, we can do that." He said getting up but not before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

"Me? Voldemort tried to kill… me?" Athena said upset now knowing that her parents are dead because of her.

"Yes. that ain't no ordinary cut on your wrist, Athena. A mark like that only comes from being touched by a curse… and an evil curse at that." Hagrid said seriously.

"What happened to… to You-Know-Who?" Athena questioned wanting to know what happened to her parents' killer.

"Well, some say he died. Codswallop in my opinion. Nope, I reckon he's out there, still, too tired to go on. But one thing's absolutely certain. Something about you stumped him that night. That's why you're famous. That's why everybody knows your name. You're the girl who lived." Hagrid finished before going back to his bowl of soup.
