I have no idea why I'm doing this...but I just wanted to try something different. It's because I tried doing Sekirei before but couldn't come up with something original to get people possibly invested with the story. But then I had an idea...but I don't know if this will work, but it's worth writing just so I can get this idea out.
I don't own Sekirei.
Hope you enjoy.
Sekirei Snatcher
Chapter 1: An Unfortunate Encounter
Yuuto Kirabasa felt totally alone. He had figured that when he would have turned nineteen that he would have accomplished something of important, like getting into his college of his choice. But it turns out that that wasn't even possible, since he got a Measly C-, which wasn't even enough to get into his regular high school. Sure, he wasn't that smart when it came to various other things about the world. But at least he knew how to live in the city. Like the courses that he was taking were going to mean anything in the end to him.
What made it even worse for him was the fact that the rest of his friends all got high marks, which meant that he had to wait a couple of months to even try to attempt to take the Entrance Exams again. By that time his friends would already have made a new group of friends and completely abandon him. He decided that instead of looking at his score any longer on the bulletin, that he would try to take his mind off things by walking around Shino Teito for a bit. Of right, he forgot that this wasn't Tokyo anymore, that almost the entirety of what 'was' Tokyo was now called Shino Teito because of a company called MBI taking over the entire city. But did the Government try to anything to stop the takeover? Nope.
So, this is the world I live in now? A place where you feel like your free, but that's not actually true. I just wish I could just get some coffee, and just lie in a corner in my apartment and die. That way, I could just drown my sorrows in caffeine.
Yuuto had been walking around the city for a bit, before he came across a café he hadn't noticed before. It seemed to be a small place that seemed to be busy. But that's not what caught his attention. It was the fact that two women, with huge busts that seemed to be struggling to stay in their costumes that they were wearing. One had on a red maid outfit and was the smaller of the two compared in bust but seemed to be the one who was a little more reserved. The other looked like the exact same as the other women, except she seemed to be more exuberant, and her bust seemed a bit bigger. Interested in seeing if he could get a discount, he decided to get a closer look at the two.
He now realized that the two were trying to give out flyers for this coffee shop, so he decided to come up to the duo. The women with the bigger bust noticed Yuuto walk over. She headed towards him and pushed a flyer onto him.
"Hi there, I was just wondering if you wanted to take a look at this new deal we are offering at the café. It's a good deal trust me on it."
Yuuto looked at the flyer with a deadpan look in his eye. He immediately could tell by the way the flyer was written that this was a totak rip off. What made it even worse was that the price for the coffee was over 1000 yen, which was expensive compared to what Yuuto usually got. But he wanted to be friendly towards them if he could. And... he kind of wanted to get to be close to the two of them for a little bit longer. He didn't know why, but he just...felt like he needed to be around them, and that he needed to keep them safe. Which honestly was kind of weird since he hadn't said anything to them...at all.
"You do realize that this isn't actually a deal, right?" Yuuto said.
...What the hell brain? Why would you basically call out something obvious if you're trying to get with the duo? Oh right, because of something called just, right? That's why I hate you brain.
This seemed to have offended the bigger of the two twins, whose face had twisted into sort of anger.
"What are you talking about? There's nothing wrong with this deal, it's a barging if you ask me."
"Hikari, please calm down-"
"I'm not going to Hibiki. He just insulted us."
Yuuto needed to settle this before it got out of hand.
"Sorry, I was just saying that because I've gotten coffee before that has been around 500 yen, so...that's what I meant by not a deal. It's because I've had cheaper." Yuuto said.
"And what's that supposed to mean? You can't afford the stuff were selling?" Hikari said.
"All I'm saying is that you should have a better marketing strategy. It would probably attract more customers."
Hibiki, Yuuto assumed, looked surprised that this guy, who she had barely know, was trying to give suggestions to help out. Hikari still looked pissed at ever, but Yuuto noticed she had calmed down a bit.
"Thanks for the info. I know you weren't intentionally trying to offend us. But please be careful with your words next time." Hibiki said.
"It's not like it's going to matter anyways." Yuuto said.
The twins both had curious looks to their faces at that statement.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Hikari asked.
"Well, since you might be the last person I'm possibly talking to, I feel completely worthless because I failed my friends since I couldn't get into college, and the fact that I'm alone in this city with barely enough money to scrap by is making my head spin. I was honestly banking on getting into college so I could get an internship. But now, I guess I'll have to find a real job now...if I can even do that. I don't really have much to offer, but...Dammit, I can't just wallow in my self-pity. I'll probably be back on my feet eventually. I just have to wait for that moment to-"
"Hey, it's you two again. Stop, don't try to run!" Hikari said.
Hikari and Hibiki rushed past him, with the flyers, well, flying all over the place. Yuuto turned around to see what all the commotion was but didn't get to see who the twins were after. Yuuto sighed a bit, disappointed that he couldn't even get a discount on a cup of coffee.
Oh well, it can't be helped. Maybe I'll run into them again sometime. And hopefully the next conversation goes a little bit better...I'm talking to you brain.
Night...
Yuuto had been walking around the park for the past couple of minutes. After the twins had run off, Yuuto had decided to get a coffee from the café the women were advertising for, because he knew that he wasn't going to get good coffee anywhere else...even though he knew it was a rip off. After he decided to head back to his apartment to try and clean up the place, but didn't really feel like doing anything. Instead, he tried for the next couple of hours to find a suitable job...but nothing that interested him too much. Yuuto had mostly seen job openings for MBI, which included finding Scientist's and former Military officials. But there didn't seem to be anything simple anymore, which had annoyed Yuuto to no end. Finally having enough, he decided he needed to clear his mind and take a walk...which is why he was in the park in the first place.
He had hoped to have some alone time just to take some time to think about what to do next, but it turned out that he wasn't the only one in the park. He looked over to a bench that was near the middle of the park and saw that a young woman was sitting on the bench. She had medium brown hair that went down to her neck, and she had blue eyes. But Yuuto's face turned a shade of red as she saw that she was only wearing a sort of white kimono, and her cleavage was showing quite a bit. But he suddenly got nervous when he saw some blood on her right sleeve. But he then saw the look in her eyes. It was that of emotion that didn't truly exist, like she didn't know how to feel anything else.
It's kind of like my face. I don't really feel much right now, and I don't think I ever will. But I learned how to be mostly respectful to others. So, maybe I should try to cheer her up? Or just talk about my issues to make her feel better.
Yuuto decided to go up to the women to see if she was all right. As he got closer, he got cold quickly. It was like the temperature had suddenly dropped about twenty degrees. But he continue onward, and once he got close enough started talking to her.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" Yuuto asked.
The woman did not answer him at first. He thought she did not hear him and was about to ask again when she nodded her head. Yuuto then sat down next to the woman. He still felt cold, and he thought she was staring daggers at him, even though he was not really looking at her. But he got the feeling she was only doing that was because she wanted to be left alone. But he wasn't just going to give up that easy.
"Sorry if this is inappropriate, but are you okay? You seem to be bleeding?" Yuuto asked.
The woman again didn't answer at first, which concerned Yuuto.
"It's not mine."
Yuuto had chills run down his spine at the fact. He honestly couldn't move at the thought that she killed another person.
"But...then where did it come from?"
"I... was being used...as a tool. They used me...and broke me...I'm nobody. No one will ever love me...and I'll be alone forever. Tried to...experiment on me more...took them out before they could."
Yuuto's brain began ringing, as alarm bells were blaring inside. Did this women just kill someone to escape captivity? If so, he would understand why she did what she did. Still, it didn't feel right. But he did relate to her on one thing...being completely alone.
"You don't know that. Who knows, maybe you'll find someone who cares about you."
"But...I'm broken...useless."
"No, you aren't."
Yuuto didn't know why it came out of him, but he couldn't let this woman continue to beat herself down. Sure, he did it himself sometimes, but it always hurt him when he saw others who were beating themselves up not have any hope. Yuuto saw the surprised look on her face.
"What I mean is...yes, I know things are really tough right now...trust me, I'm going through a difficult time right now. But giving up hope is not what you should do. I mean...you have to keep fighting for what you want, even if you don't have someone to...you know, lean on. And when you do find that someone, I know it will work out. Because that's all you can hope for."
Yuuto then saw the women's face turn away from him, and he noticed her cheeks had turned a shade of pink. She began to breath heavily, with the woman holding her chest in a sense of pain. Yuuto was surprised at what he was seeing, and was concerned that she was having some sort of heart attack.
"Um, are you okay? You look a little red."
"Tell me. Do...you have a name?"
"What? Oh, yeah. My name's Yuuto Kirabasa."
"Sekirei number 7, Akitsu. I think...you're my Ashikabi."
Yuuto looked at Akitsu with a dumbfounded look on his face.
"Wait, Ashi what now?"
I am so lost right now. What the hell is an Ashikabi? And why is this women in an immense amount of pain just because I was trying to help her out? This is honestly the weirdest day I've ever experinced.
"I suggest you back off if you know what's good for you."
Yuuto and Akitsu suddenly looked in the direction of the person who spoke. They saw two men, one who seemed to be only a teenager and the other seemed to be about a foot taller. The teenager had medium blonde hair, with brown eyes and his clothes that were completely white with some gold lining and way he held himself up made him seem like an arrogant prick to Yuuto. But when he looked at the other guy, he began to shiver a bit. He had sliver hair and grey colored eyes, and his face looked like he hadn't seen anything enjoyable in forever. He was wearing a black sleeved shirt and black pants and had a yellow scarf that was around his neck. But what really scared Yuuto was the fact that the taller man appeared to be carrying some sort of katana on his back.
What the hell is he doing with a Katana. I better be careful not to provoke him. Don't want to get sliced by that.
"What do you mean?" Yuuto asked.
"Simple. You walk away, and I get to keep her. Trust me, you don't want to mess with me." The teenager said.
Yuuto felt a sense of anger course through his body. What the hell was this kid trying to do? Take Akitsu as a prized possession?
"Keep her? She's isn't an object. She's a person. You can't just own someone like your toy."
Yuuto saw the teenager get angry at that.
"I'm not a kid. I can take care of myself. Fine then. If you won't give her up to me that easily, then I guess we'll have to take her by force then. Mutsu, take care of things."
"...Whatever you say Mikogami."
When he saw the now named Mutsu approaching, Yuuto could almost see a look of regret on his face. Like he didn't feel comfortable with doing what he was told. But Yuuto knew that whatever was about to happen wasn't going to end well for him and Akitsu. So, he grabbed Akitsu hand and got up, about to run off, but he was suddenly pulled back by Akitsu.
"Master...it's alright, I'll protect you." Akitsu said.
"Akitsu, I know this might seem alright to you, but I-"
Yuuto never got to finish what he was saying as he was pulled in by Akitsu into a kiss on the lips. He felt a sense of serenity when he was kissing Akitsu, like the heavens were opening. It was the first time he was ever kissed by someone, and it felt amazing to him. But then he was surprised that light seemed to be shining through his closed eyes while he was kissing Akitsu. When he opened his eyes, he saw two wings coming out of the back of Akitsu, which were made of ice. Yuuto and Akitsu separated, and Akitsu then looked longingly at Yuuto.
"This is the ice of my pledge. Shatter the misfortunes of my Ashikabi!" Akitsu said.
Yuuto was completely caught off guard at what he was witnessing right now. This woman that he had barely knew and had only talked to for what felt like five minutes had sprouted wings out of her back. "
No... that shouldn't be possible. She's supposed to be useless." Mikogami said.
Yuuto saw Mutsu raise his eyebrows a bit at the wings on Akitsu, but then he Grabbed his katana from behind and prepared to attack Yuuto and Akitsu. Akitsu stepped between Yuuto and Mutsu, as she prepared to fight him. The two of them stood in their spots for a couple of seconds, until Mutsu suddenly moved in a quick motion towards Akitsu, in which Yuuto noticed the ground beneath him crumble. Mutsu went to use his katana on Akitsu, but she suddenly created an ice wall with her hands.
Yuuto's jaw dropped at what he just saw.
This woman has ice powers? How in the world does she have ice powers?
Mutsu sliced through the ice shield but had flip backwards when ice shards began heading towards him. He went back towards Mikogami and sigh.
"Mikogami...it is useless to continue to try and bond her. She's with him now. It is best to just head back now then waste energy." Mutsu said.
Mikogami looked upset at this predicament. Yuuto then saw Mikogami call off Mutsu, and the two walked away from the two, and they headed back to the limousine. They then got in and drove off, as Yuuto thought he saw Mikogami give the middle finger to him.
Oh great, he's a prick and rich. What a coincidence. Well, at least the good news is that they're both out of our hairs. For now.
Yuuto looked over at Akitsu and came over to her.
"Akitsu, are you alright?" Yuuto asked.
"Yes, I am master. I... thank you for being protective of me, and that...I have found my one true beloved."
Yuuto just was nervous after that statement.
What in the hell have I gotten myself into?
At MBI Headquarters...
Takami had been doing this for too long. She had been the main Researcher at MBI for the past 2 decades, and she still did not like the way things had gone. She should have been a scientist looking up various new technological advances to help better the world. Now, she was stuck in a sick game created by a crazed man who felt like he would do something irrational if she didn't control him. Today especially, things didn't go the way she wanted.
First off, she heard that Minato, her son, had failed his entrance exam for the second time. She did not understand why her son had failed again. She knew how smart he was, so why in the world does he fail whenever the opportunity presents itself? She was upset at what had transpired but did not really think too much of it. But what happened a couple of hours later made her head go numb and internally curse at herself.
She wasn't expecting much to happen, since most of the Sekirei's had already been bonded, but when she saw the update that was given to the new bond in the control room, Takami's heart sank as she saw that Minato had bonded with Musubi number 88. She was happy for Musubi, because she knew that Minato was kindhearted and smart, and would be a good fit with him. What caused Takami to get upset was the fact that Minato was now a part of this game, and that put him in danger. She didn't want to see anything bad happen to him. Right now, during the night, she was having herself a cigarette, trying to calm her nerves.
She had already been through a lot today, and she did not really want to do anything else then contacting Minato to see if he was all right. But she was interrupted by a siren flashing, indicating that another Sekirei had been bonded to someone. Takami sighed at this, as she got up with the cigarette still in her mouth and looked around.
"Geez another? This just keeps getting better and better. Just hope they weren't forced." Takami said to herself.
She exited her room and headed to the control room where everything about the Sekirei plan was being monitored. This was to ensure by Minaka that everything was going according to plan, and nothing was out of place. It only took a couple of minutes of walking past a couple of MBI employees and researchers before she entered the control room. It was a highly advanced facility where about twenty people were keeping watch around Shinto Teito. She went over to one of the people watching the camera's, in which the person looked away from her to the screen. She had always been seen as intimidating because of the scowl she always gave to others. But she didn't mind. It kept her in a sense of authority, a sense that she did not seem to find in Minaka.
"Which Sekirei was bonded now?" Takami asked.
"Not sure yet, just getting the info back now." The female employee said.
Takami just sighed a bit as she waited for the info to come back, puffing some smoke out of her mouth from the cigarette. Suddenly, the employee signaled to Takami that the info came in. But the voice was one of surprise and shock at what she saw.
"Wait...no way...it can't be..."
"What, who got bonded?" Takami asked, a little irritated by the fact that they had not given her a straight answer.
"Its's...Number 7, Akitsu."
Takami's eye is widened at this revelation. That should not have been possible. Akistu was experimented on to see how low the powers of these Sekirei's could get, but the tests that had been done to Akistu had ruined her of any chance to be bonded to someone...or so most of the team had thought. The face that Akistu had somehow bonded to someone was unthinkable to Takami.
"How in the world did she get bonded? Can you get some info on the Ashikabi?" Takami asked.
"Yes, I'm pulling it up as we speak. Ah, there it is."
Takami looked at the information on the screen. The man on the screen was around 19 years of age, almost the same age as her son Minato. He had short brown hair and piercing blue eyes. What really made her face scrunch was the fact that his face, even with a small smile, looked haunted. She found out that he had attempted to get into the academy like Minato, but also failed as well. Then she found out some background information...or more like, what was of his background.
"Wait...why does it say he was born in an orphanage?" Takami asked.
"Well, it says here that the owners of the orphanage found this boy here on their doorsteps. It seemed like he had been abandoned by his parents. It says he lived there for most of his life, until he was forced to move out when he was eighteen, since he couldn't really live there anymore. He doesn't have a job at the moment, since he quit his old job in working as a cashier. So, he doesn't seem to be in the best of shape miss."
Takami's eyes dropped down, as she looked at the desk. This kid, who she saw was named Yuuto Kirabasa, had been alone all of his life. He grew up without a family who could truly teach him how to grow up. Takami could understand why Akitsu reacted to him, even if she didn't know him that well. But Takami still couldn't understand why Akistu had been bonded to Yuuto of all people, as he seemed to have a rough life, but nothing significant to highlight why he was special. She would have to keep an eye on things to see where things would go. Just as long as-
"Oh, what an interesting development we have here!"
Oh, dear god, of course he found out about this. I wouldn't get it passed him not to know almost everything that was happening.
Takami looked over at Minaka, who was in his white suit. His eyes were covered with glasses, but she could see that wavy white hair and that psychotic grin that he always gave whenever he is enjoying something.
"So, I guess you saw what happened." Takami said.
"Of course. I wouldn't want to miss something of this occasion. Hm, interesting development...but it's not the only one going on. I'm sure with him and Minato around, things will get more intriguing."
"Just shut it Minaka. I don't want to hear you talk in riddles if you're not going to give me a straight answer."
"Hahaha. Oh, the spite that is flowing from you, it makes me jealous of what we once were."
"That was before, and this is now."
"Oh fine, be that way. Any who, the First stage is almost complete. Just make sure things go right...oh who am I kidding, I know you'll do fine. You are the lead researcher on this team."
Takami bit her lip to keep herself from lashing out at Minaka, as he walked off and out of the room.
Damn him...he just has to be so arrogant and insane. I don't know why I ever fell for him in the first place. All I can do now is keep myself from losing my sanity as well...and hope that no one else has to die.
And that's the end of chapter one. Yuuto is mostly going to be the main protagonist, but as shown here I don't mind switching to others people's point of view. Also, I have a pretty good idea which Sekirei are going to end up with Yuuto, but if you guys have any suggestions on who should be with Yuuto, then I don't mind. Hope you enjoyed, and see ya!
