What happened in the next few days was a blur to Dani. Her father started to look for houses closer to the clinic, even though they haven't had the chance to meet the doctors yet. They haven't even filled out any application papers, but he was already checking the possible housing options. Chloé started acting so much nicer towards her, to the dismay of many of her other classmates. Dani was also getting along with Marinette, Alya, Juleka and Rose really well and she was invited to hang out with them at the next practice of Kitty Section. First, Dani was in ecstasy when she was invited, and agreed to go. Then, she started panicking. When the question of how she could get there was mentioned, Alya agreed to pick her up that afternoon and walk with her to their common destination. At least one of her problems was solved. Her next issue was connected to basic socialisation. What do people do at a band's practice? She's never been in a situation like this. She's hardly had the chance to go out with friends or classmates in the past, so having no idea what will happen made her anxious. Also, Juleka's brother will be there. Juleka's very good looking brother. There was a boy she liked in the past, but she was around 5 at that time… So that probably didn't count as her having a crush. But now, she likes this guy she hadn't actually met yet, and they will be at the same place at the same time.

"What do people do in situations like this?" Dani asked Buzzy in a panicky tone.

"I'm sorry, Dani" Buzzy replied with a confused face. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Neither have I, Buzzy" she sighed desperately, trying to finish her chemistry homework. "I always wonder what issues the past Dragonfly users had. Sorry, I must seem a whiny weirdo compared to them."

"Don't be silly, Dani" Buzzy said with a chuckle, sitting on her shoulder. "All Miraculous users are different. They live in different times and their problems aren't the same. But something that I can tell you…" Buzzy started, getting the attention of Danielle. "You're in my top 3 favourite wielders" Buzzy whispered, nudging Danielle on her neck.

"Thank you" Danielle said with a heartfelt voice. "You always know what to say to make me feel better."

"The years and the experience" Buzzy replied proudly, letting Danielle work on her school tasks.

Master Fu was doing his typical daily routine. Getting groceries, sitting at the park enjoying the sunshine, feeding some pigeons with Mr. Ramier, walking home, making some tea, reading a newspaper… When he felt a certain… presence.

"Master" Wayzz said with a surprised tone, looking at him.

"She is here" Master Fu smiled, getting a second cup.

Putting everything on a tray, he walked outside to his balcony, seeing the Dragonfly Miraculous used patiently sitting on the edge of the building.

"Never have I dreamt of meeting the Dragonfly in my lifetime" he smiled kindly, putting the tray on a small desk.

"It's my pleasure, Guardian" she smiled, standing up to bow for Master Fu.

"No need for such formalities" he laughed a bit. "I'm Wang Fu, the Great Guardian of the Miraculouses."

"And I'm Wayzz, the kwami of Master Fu" Wayzz said excitedly. "You're Libella, right? Ladybug's told us about you."

"I'm sure she did" Libella smiled kindly. "It's nice to meet you, too."

"I think we have a lot of things to chat about" Master Fu said calmly, offering some tea to the Dragonfly user.

"I suppose we do" Libella said, taking a cup of tea.

"You must have many questions regarding the situation related to the Butterfly and the Peacock Miraculouses" he started with a sigh.

"The Butterfly AND the Peacock?" she asked in return.

With a sad sigh, Master Fu told her the story of him becoming a Guardian, and what happened to the Miraculouses. He got into details about the shenanigans of Hawk Moth with the Butterfly Miraculous and how the Peacock Miraculous got involved in certain situations. He described that he found two suitable users for the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses, and that if required, he offers Ladybug to borrow others to help them out on their missions.

"Why?" she asked suddenly.

"What do you mean?" Master Fu asked, confused.

"Why are they doing this?" Libellas asked. "Akumatising these people, fighting the other Miraculous users… What is their motive?'

"I… We don't know yet" Master Fu answered, side-eyeing a confused Wayzz.

"I see" Libella said, thinking. "So beside the… Missing ones… Only the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses are with users. And you take care of the rest."

"Exactly" Maste Fu said, refilling his cup.

"I assume you also have some questions. But I cannot assure you that I have all the answers you're looking for, Master" she said, earning a surprised glare from Master Fu. "Just because you are not the Guardian of the Dragonfly Miraculous, it doesn't mean you don't deserve the appropriate addressing. I was always told to appreciate and value each Guardian for their efforts to protect the Miraculouses and the world around us" she continued with a smile.

He did have many questions but he knew that most of those will not be answered. Still, he figured trying to ask some of those is worth a try. He didn't know how much she trusted him, so when telling his stories, he made sure to be as honest as he could. As a sign of good faith. But being honest during one conversation is not going to be enough to win over a completely unknown Miraculous user.

"You inherited the Miraculous from your parents" he stated, rather than asking anything.

"Grandparents" she said, thinking for a second if telling any details might be detrimental to her in the future. "Grandmother, to be precise. She and my kwami told me about the details of the powers, rules, and about past wielders."

"Ah, so skipping a generation is a possibility" he said. "That must mean that the Miraculous is not constantly in use."

"When there is no wind to fill the sails, sailors float with the tide" Libella said, making Master Fu smile with the metaphor.

"Do you know how long it's been in your ancestor's possession?" he asked, earning a slow head-shake from her.

"Do you?" the question came in return from her.

"I've only heard vague stories and references about it" he replied. "But allegedly, the Dragonfly Miraculous had been passed down to descendants in your family for many centuries."

"Have… In the past, did any of the Guardians try to take possession of it?" she asked, already knowing the answer. "Taking it back where it belongs?" she deliberately phrased her sentences the way she did.

"As far as I know… There have been some, who believed in the strict rule of only a Guardian is capable of handling and deciding on the fate of Miraculouses" he admitted, seeing through her test.

"And what do you believe, Master Fu?" she asked, tilting her head.

"That you being here is the evidence that they were wrong" he said, smiling.

Libella had a feeling that the Guarding knew what she was up to. Still, she knew that he was telling her the truth and it made her feel much more comfortable and gave her a peace of mind.

"So, how did you end up in Paris, Libella?" he asked simply after a few moments of thinking.

"I always end up in places where I'm needed" she said with a smile, looking into her cup. "Seems to be a habit of mine."

"I'm sure you do" Mr. Fu smiled. "I've heard many stories as a child. When trouble and hardships came, the Dragonfly showed up to sort the issues out. And with Ladybug being able to call for you, I suspect the danger is greater than what we anticipated" he mused with a dark expression.

"There's never been a problem a Ladybug user couldn't solve" Libella said with determination. "Me being here is just an indication that… things may be a bit more... complicated."

"Do you really think that's the situation?" Master Fu asked with a genuine smile.

"I have to" she replied, as they heard a knock from the main door.

Master Fu and Wayzz looked at each other in shock, making Libella giggle at their faces. She had an idea why they got so riled up. It was probably either the Ladybug or the Cat Miraculous user knocking. Which meant that it was time for her to leave.

"Guess I should be going" she said calmly, putting her cup down. "Thank you for the tea."

Turned out, it was Marinette looking for him. While she was there, Master Fu didn't tell her about their chat with Libella. Maybe, in the future, but this was definitely not the right moment.

"Don't you think telling her all those things was not a wise thing, Master?" Wayzz asked, referring to the exchange with Libella.

"Hm… I think it is important to build trust with her" he replied, reflectively. "And Ladybug is in no mental place to do that right now. Previous Guardians have betrayed the Dragonfly, but I don't want to make that same mistake."

"So… you think she can be trusted?" asked Wayzz.

"We'll see about that" Master Fu replied with a confident smile. "But I have faith in her."

As Alya and Danielle were walking toward their destination, Alya couldn't stop talking about her newest idea for her astronomy blog. Dani was rather interested in the topic, so she eagerly listened as they strolled around town. She liked Alya. Her energy was a bit overwhelming to Dani sometimes, but altogether, she enjoyed the other girl's company. At least Alya could fill the silence when Dani had no idea what to say, which was most of the time. When they finally stopped at the bank of the river, Danielle looked around curiously, as if checking if they're in the right place.

"Finally, here we are" Alya said, motioning to a ship where they already saw Rose and Ivan on the deck, waving.

"Why are they having practice on a boat?" Danielle asked, confused, slowly following Alya to the deck.

"Well, Jule and Luka live here and the equipment is kept here. So it's the easiest for everyone" Alya said, greeting the others. "Where's Marinette?"

"Wait… what?" Danie asked in a bit of a shock, with her hand wide open. "Live here?"

"She's inside with the others. Luka's teaching her to play the guitar" said Rose with a grin, making Alya's eyes widen.

"Oh, I have to see that" she said, getting her phone out.

"Hey Dani" Ivan said happily. "Myléne is in there as well. She was really excited when she heard you are also coming."

As Alya was walking inside, Danielle was just looking around in awe. Following her, she saw Myléne and Juleka sitting on a round coach, while Luka was standing behind Marinette, the two playing the guitar together. Marinette was looking at her and Alya with an embarrassed grin while Jule's brother's eyes were fixed on Marinette. And that look sent a shock through Danielle's heart. Realising Alya was taking pictures of them, Luka looked up at the phone. Seeing Jule's new classmate also there, he flashed a charming smile at her.

"Hi Alya" he said first. "And you must be Danielle."

Danielle just looked at him, her arms still open. She couldn't remember, but maybe her mouth was also open. Marinette was looking at her with a questioning look, then at Alya.

"Hey, girl" Alya said, nudging her on the shoulder. "You okay?"

"What?" Danie asked, suddenly looking at Alya. Realising that she was acting weird, again, she looked back at Luka with a confused face. "Oh, yeah… Umm… Hi" she replied, earning a funny look from the guitarist. "You… guys live on a boat?" she asked, looking at him and then at Juleka, making everyone laugh at her shocked expression.

"She's called Liberty" Juleka mumbled, making Danielle grin.

"Well, she is awesome" Dani said with an excited chuckle.

The practice was quite enjoyable for Danielle. Kitty Section was great, she finally heard their first song, I Love Unicorns, and they also played a cover or a Jagged Stone song. Everybody was very nice, even when Dani asked things that were obvious for everyone else beside her. She even met Jule and Luka's mother. She was an incredible woman. Danie thought she was really funny and nice. So, overall, everything was fine. Beside the fact that Luka could hardly take his eyes off Marinette the whole time, which sucked. Each time she caught a glimpse of that look, she felt her stomach tighten and couldn't help but feel sad and embarrassed. Great. The first time she has a crush on a boy, he's madly in love with somebody else.

She thought Luka was an extraordinary guy. During their short time spent together (with the rest of the group) she saw how kind and empathetic he was. He's playful and charming, someone who could sweep any girl off their feet. Danielle was pretty sure that Marinette liked Adrien, but seemed more comfortable around Luka. Well, not like she couldn't like more than one boy. There's nothing wrong with that.

"Of course he would like a girl like Marinette" she sighed, making dinner in their kitchen. "She's kind-hearted, funny, smart, considerate…. She's just ready to help out everyone in all kinds of situations. She's honest, and just… So cute and pretty. He would be a fool not to fall for her.

"Dani" Buzzy said with a sympathetic voice. "You're also all those things you just listed about Marinette" Buzzy continued, trying to make Dani feel better.

Danielle didn't reply. She had nothing to say. Obviously Buzzy would say that. So would her father if she told him about this. But she definitely won't talk about boys to her father. Even just thinking about it made Danielle smile.

"Hey, what's so funny, sweetie?" she heard her father ask, lurking behind her to see what she's cooking.

"That you'll definitely burn your finger" she replied with a grin.

"What? Of course I wouldn't do that" he joked with a silly voice, already dipping his finger in a sauce of some kind, hissing in pain immediately.

"Riiiight… I just took that off the stove, you know" Dani said, rolling her eyes. "Should be done in a minute or two."

"Thank you" Mr. Proulx said, kissing the top of her head. "I'll set the table. I'd like you to check out some of the houses I found. There's one I think you'd like."

"Alrighty" she replied cheerily. "Are they far from the school, or umm… Should I… You know."

"I was thinking that you should stay at that school" her father replied. "Because you like it there, right? You'd like to attend there, right?"

"I… Yeah" she replied, taken aback. "So, are the houses not too far away from the school?"

"Well, somewhat" her father replied. "Let's just say that maybe your uni professor father could drive you to school every day in the future…" he said as if telling an interesting story.

"What?" Dani asked with a smile. "Are you serious?"

Her father turned around to look at her with a strange expression on his face.

"Dad" Dani said with a more forceful voice. "Are you serious?"

"Look, baby girl, if you don't want me to drive you to school after moving, that's fine" he explained. "I know parents are lame and… not cool, and such. So I could hire a driver for you if you…"

Suddenly, he was interrupted by his daughter crashing into him, hugging him tightly. After a second of realisation, he hugged Danielle back with a big smile. They've never really had the chance to do father-daughter things together, or bond like they were supposed to. Still, Dani was always so understanding and sweet. The complete opposite of what he experienced from his wife in the past. It was probably his mother-in-law's influence. It was strange. He always heard people complain about their mother-in-laws. But he loved the old lady, she always helped them out and after his wife decided to leave, she stepped up as a mother figure to the kids.

"Hey, come on, let's eat, I'm starving" he said, helping Dani put the food on the table.
