AND HERE IS THE CHAPTER 12! TIME TO GO TO WORK LOL
THE NEXT DAY
Christen walked over to the phantom's smaller fighter ship. It was neatly housed within the ship's storage hull. He was alone today as he had told HK to take his wife and the Phantom-70 to Courscaunt while he was in his Fighter, making sure no funny ideas took hold of the ships carrying two people of importance to him.
His ship was the newly built Jedaii R-Wing, only starting to be produced a week ago. It was the newest of his Empire's advanced starfighter class, only being built on the shipyards of Bogan for the Future Knights and Masters of his order. The design featured the most advanced maneuvering systems in the known galaxy that he could find. It encompassed two swivel laser cannons. All in all, christen loved the ship,
He used the Force to open the Fighter's cockpit. It was a tight fit considering his height, but this also was a ship he hadn't customized yet, so he could deal with it. He was hoping HK didn't do anything to it when prepping it. The little bugger wanted to play games and park it in another hanger cause the droid thought he looked like a "meat bag catastrophe"... damn, droids. He could see the ships built in R2 astromech droid chirping away quite excitedly about flying the same Fighter as the Emporer.
"Well, come on, you bucket of bolts, we should be going...For the tenth time since you got here, I told you that I don't know if my brother will be on or off-planet when we get there! I don't have a good idea of what he looks like, but thanks for letting me know that I want you to have the people involved in you asking that question executed... I don't care if they were nice R2-487" Christen shook his head as he told the droid at the thought of how much information Bane had given the Empire on him infuriated him... to know that he didn't know what his brother looked like but that the Empire and now Christen knew he was a KRIFFING JEDI...it was insanity.
Beeping away as it notified him the ship was ready and the orders have been sent to a high Admiral among his personal fleet, Christen climbed up the side of the fighter ship. It was a good thing he knew droid speak from when he was a slave. It did come in handy, especially a droid who keeps asking about his family from the Empire's data banks. The people responsible for such orders would be dead within the hour, so he indeed couldn't be too angry about such a breach of conduct.
"Yes, I know I will probably feel him when I'm close, he is the chosen one from what the files say, still can't believe you guys infiltrated that far, plus he is incredibly strong in the force, and his presence will be unmistakable if not unbearable to sense if he hasn't mastered masking it from others, and could you please just shut up, or ill happily fly this ship by myself," he said with an annoyed tone.
"you two seem to be having fun" a sultry voice sounded from behind him, turning around a bit as he looked his wife up and down as she walked behind him with her favorite dress along with a ceremonial silver mask of her mother's design, the sleeves and blouse were vague of a gypsy cut, shades of violet flecked with while so much so it seemed to ripple to their own will.
Abigail walked over with her mask now under her arm while Christen's helmet was sitting on the ladder by his Fighter. "Ready?" he asked as he climbed back down and took her in for a quick kiss before pulling away.
"As ready as I'll ever be returning to a planet with a trillion and a half people," she chuckled while pinching his cheek. He rested his hand on the side of her neck, the cool metal from his armor chilling her skin a little as she shivered from the touch.
"I'll see you on Coruscant Nexa. I'm planning on taking this time to try and make up for being gone all this time. I should ha..." he told her before she slapped him lightly and kissed him quickly again. "Shut up, your here now, and it doesn't matter, See you when we land my Nexu," she cut him off, smiling.
Chuckling lightly, he leaned forward, kissing her softly. Abigail kissed him back with a passion but pulled away after a few seconds to breathe, resting her hand on the back of his neck. "Abbie, we have to get going," Padme informed as she walked near the couple, only feeling a little awkward as she saw the couple kissed but felt an off feeling about the tall and menacing-looking man, had her friend moved on from her lost husband and her old friend?.
"Ruining the moment, Senator," Christen muttered loudly enough to get a snort from his old friend and making his wife laugh softly. "I'll see you there," she said softly.
Nodding in agreement, he kissed her once more before holding her left hand in his. Lifting her hand to his lips, he kissed her ring before letting her go. Padmé smiled at the couple, hoping that she and Anakin can have something like they do. Abigail smiled as she pulled on her gloves and helmet.
Christen put on his helmet before looking for the man who would have been in charge of this voyage. As soon as he found him, a dark-skinned Captin, he looked him straight in the eyes and spoke coldly.
"I'll be flying behind the Queens. Just fly to my Read left and don't get in my way... captain," he instructed, putting his hands behind his back clasped together as he waited for the man to question his authority, as long as his wife was around, HE would be in charge of all security detailing.
"Excuse me... Stranger, but I believe I'll make the calls on the senators' safety. It's you who should not get in the way even with your Jedi lightsabers" Typho informed as he waved towards Christen's belt and spoke at him with a sneer while also steeping closer to him miserably, failing to try to make himself look more prominent.
Captain Typho had a duty to the queen. He wasn't going to let the fact this man had a foot in height on him and out weight him with seventy pounds of pure muscle, not to mention covered head to toe with heavy armor and weapons strapped all over his back, chest, and thighs.
"When it comes to the Queen mother's safety, I think I have the most tactical opinion on it moreover so then a captain even if the party is in charge of security of the senator, I have had decades of age filled learning everything I can to be the head guard and King to the Queen Mother and the Consortium," Christian informed as he also stepped a few feet forward till they were feet apart, he could see the other man slightly tremble, his face gaining a large smirk as he continued to speak, his cold tone turning into more of a growl.
"And need I remind you that I am no Jedi, if you value your life, you will call me a Jedaii or by your Highness and try not to make that fatal mistake again," he growled out, already hating the man who was in front of him, some useless captain telling him, the grandmaster of the jedaii, the Emperor of an Empire what to do.
" HOW DARE YO...'" the captain all but screamed, but Padme soon cut him off.
"Enough, both of you, can't you just work together, for kriff sake you just met each other," Padmé answered with a sigh, not liking her captain ordering people around but confused as to the attitude her friend's Guard was having with her people like he knew them, " that won't be a problem . Captain, I think we should go with the plan of..." she trailed off as she and everyone including his wife looked to him to announce his name.
"you can Call me for Lord Savior by all accounts or your Highness, I am hundreds of years old, ya know, senator Amidala, anything and everything in the galaxy I know about, it was my purpose, you could not be in safer hands if you allow me to take over this mission completely," Christen chided proudly, letting it slip that he wasn't just a guard, gaining a few awed and shocked looks from the people around at his declaration, and earning a glare from his wife, he knew he would get the couch for the first few nights, he truly had gone too far, guess he got too used to being among his men and woman of the empire.
"You can lead the voyage, but you are not in charge, please can you just enter your fighter ship, Lord Savior. Captain, please get the ship ready and leave the Hapen queen and King alone... NOW" Padme scolded him
Typho looked at Christen, who had put on his helmet during the exchange was now smiling smugly behind his mask, slightly looking at the enraged captain who had no choice but to follow orders.
"As you wish, milady," Typho answered begrudgingly. "Let's get going, please," Padmé told them as she climbed into her chrome ship. Christen gave Typho one last look, letting the visor of his mask come down to show his lava eyes shining brightly as they cut into the man's brain. The captain took a step back and eve reached for his blastor before thinking better of it as he assessed his new flight companion in a fear and rage-induced curiosity as the other man climbed into the oddly smooth and well-armed fighter vessel.
"I swear, Christen, you grown men are acting like children worse than Damion," Abigail scolded him over his private intercom as he smiled from ear to ear.
"He thinks that just because I'm not a Jedi or part of the republic, that he can try to tell me what to do and common, that's a low blow Nexa I'm no worse than Damion," he answered.
"Love, he's head of security, also. You got pretty close to saying you were the king, something which hasn't gone unnoticed," she told him with a playful tone.
"Doesn't matter, I outrank him...technically. Can't you ask to have me as her Personal Guard or something" he told her? Silence only answered him for the next few moments.
"I will ask her and don't even try saying you want to protect her for Kriff sake because I know you're going to break into the data core of the republic, the Jedi Order, or anything you and your droids can get your new grubby hands on for whatever reason you Sarlacc piss stain," Abigail answered with a tone that told him to shut up right when they had just entered the outer orbit of the planet.
Christen was slightly surprised that she figured it out, frustrated at being found out. "Well, yes, and I want..." he tried to defend himself, but it was too late to being cut off. "Christen, please just stop arguing with me, and just fly your Fighter to lead this voyage," she answered, almost scolding him.
"Yes, my queen," Christen told her with a half-grin. Chuckled lightly as they flew off into hyperspace.
6 HOURS LATER
Christen's eyes adjusted to realspace as they exited hyperspace. He looked over his shoulder, seeing the Phantom and the Nabooians ships that surrounded it come out from hyperspace.
Christen frowned as he couldn't help but feel that the Force was beginning to become unbalanced and unstable. It had to do which the voyage, he was sure of it, even though he could feel the blinding light of the thousands of Jedi below, but also a light dome of darkness surrounding the planet. Indeed the Jedi must know of it.
Christen kept his eyes locked over at the lead ship. The Force warned him as though something was compelled to happen to the group of vessels behind him. Something was terribly wrong. When they landed on the platform, christen climbed down and sprinted over to Abigail and Padme as they had just made it off the ramp of the Phantom.
"We made it," Typho commented smugly as he removed his pilot helmet, watching as one of the handmaidens, followed by five guards, walked down the ramp of the Decoy Nabooian ship.
"Guess I was wrong. There wasn't any danger at all. I guess we didn't need you, Old Man," he commented, looking smug at Christen with a toothy grin.
Suddenly the Force warns him like a rogue wave. Instantly he had adrenaline rushing through his system. The Force washed over him, speaking to him to act and secure the ones in danger.
Christen looked toward Abigail and padme. Quickly reaching into the Force, he pushed his hands outward. "Get down!" he exclaimed as the Force pushed them to the ground, and he used the Force to create a barrier around the two women as the decoy ship exploded while the party with the fake Senator was halfway down the ramp.
Shrapnel hit his armor rapidly, not breaking through to even the mesh, but he was hit with pieces of the engines, and it had dented the beskar chest plate above his heart. The dozens of pieces hitting his helmet coupled with the explosion short-circuited his HUD for a few seconds while also making his ears ring.
He would have to fix his chest plate tonight or get a new one later if the dent were too deep. Slowly Pulling back before setting his eyes on his wife, Christen hid his pain as he looked at his wife, who was getting up from the ground. He had shielded them well as she and Padme didn't have a scratch on the"Are you alright, Nexa?" he asked, helping her back up."Yes, just surprised. What happened to the ship?" she replied quietly, clearly shaken from her near-death experience.
"i...I don't know. Someone aboard that ship must have been a spy or assassin since I felt no warnings from the Force before we entered hyperspace.
Padmé hurried to check on Abigail while Christen turned around, walking among the wreckage, searching everywhere, his enhanced senses barely recognizing the familiar smell of Dentonite explosive residue.
He turned before walking up to CaptinTypho. "Did you see anyone, captain acting strangely on board?" he asked the damn useless fool.
"Nothing, this is the second time she has had someone bomb her ship upon arrival," Typho replied as he looked around at the wreckage in distraught.
Christen hurried over and helped Abigail and Padme, not wanting to be near the idiot in fear of ripping him apart. "Come on, Nexu, we have to get you to the safety of the republic suite," he insisted. Abigail nodded as she wrapped her arm around Padme, who was silently sobbing.
She was crying over her dead handmaiden, Sophia Evans. He didn't know her, but he had done some background research on her and learned she was the only surviving member of her family.
They were all killed during some trade federation attacks a decade earlier, at least the files HK decrypted from Amidala's home said. They quickly hurried off the landing platform. Getting into a republic shuttle that was waiting for them.
One seat remained open for him. Christen looked around at the wreckage and oncoming emergency personnel. "I'll meet you at the meeting," he told her. "What…" Abigail started. "I'm going to look for some...evidence, I'm your bodyguard as well as the Senator's, and I must find out what and who tried to kill you. Nobody is going to hurt Padme if I'm here," he answered.
Abigail nodded as she rested her hand on the beskar plating of his mask before she started to close the shuttle doors. He pressed a button on his gauntlet, letting HK know to send out a speeder to his location.
"You're the perfect man, Nexu. I love you... be safe," she told him.
"Love you," he answered before watching the shuttle fly off towards the senate building with his friend and the Captin.
Walking back over to the wreckage, Christen used the Force to check for pulses or anything of something out of the ordinary on the six guards and handmaiden.
He shook his head sadly when none had pulses beneath. "Sad loss for people so young," he said softly as he closed the bloodied eyes of the young handmaiden as he just stepped near her head. The girl only looked to be around seventeen. He got a call through the comm unit.
"Confirmation: Master, I have arrived at the rondeau point. I have seemed to miss out on the fun, master" the voice of HK sounded throughout the helmet's inner com.
Standing up, Christen began investigating the burnt rubble for any traces of chemicals and other evidence of what was used and who could've done this.
Looking up, he saw three republic speeders with three Jedi coming his way at a sprinting pace, two humans, and a young torguta. He sighed, knowing he didn't need the Jedi to ask him questions just yet. He needed to get the adrenaline out first.
Deciding to abandon his exploration. Hurrying over to the edge and pressing the call button on his gauntlet computer, he jumps into a free fall before using the Force to slow his landing on his stealth speeder exactly one level below.
"We need to go now, HK... NOW!" he yelled at the droid, knowing it was about to give him a sarcastic reply.
Hk races off before the Jedi can catch him. He looked back, seeing one male was older than the other, the torguta followed the younger man...likely his apprentice.
When he arrived at the Senate building, Christen climbed out of his speeder and quickly told HK to part it a few levels below for another emergency jump
he slowed his hurried pace. When he walked into the building, everyone was already staring at him, giving his large body more room than necessary.
Making his way through the halls that felt too clean for his taste, the smell of corruption was high. He could practically see the dark veil over a majority of the people passing him. He could practically see the greed emanating from the various people he passed. Coming up to the room where he felt his wife's presence.
Christen could hear a discussion going on, there were four of the blue-clad guards around the door, but with a simple wave of his hand, they were all asleep.
He opened the cubicle to see it filled three male humans and a tall clothed Gungan alongside his wife and Padme. in the background were the tens of thousands of people also in the cubicles of the sente, at the center christen could make out the Chancellor, a large veil of darkness was over him...interesting
Seeing Padmé's seat next to his wife, who barely looked up at him, he walked inside and took his place in the back. His arrival caused a little bit of a stir because everyone was now looking at the giant armored man who had joined the meeting, all of them emanating a tinge of fear from his entrance.
Looking over her shoulder, Padme saw her friend's Husband standing there in his heavy armor with seemingly crossed-out Jedi, sith symbols, and some odd-looking symbols she couldn't recognize on his shoulders. He stood there unmoving, his arms crossed over his chest.
He nodded to her to let her know that Padme could start her speech, as it looked to him as though she waited for him to do something.
Smiling softly at him, she turned back to the senate, clearing her throat as she moved their glider forward. "My fellow senators, Less than an hour ago, another assassination attempt was made against my life, once again in the same fashion as when this war was started, several guards, including my new handmaiden, were ruthlessly and senselessly murdered alongside the Queen Mother of the Hapen Consortium," she informed.
When she paused, everyone went into a frenzy over the news. "The Queen and I were the targets of this ruthless attack…but more importantly, the security measure of this republic before you was the target. I have led the opposition to this war from the start, and this unknown enemy will stop at nothing to assure the passage of the war," she told them. The other senators' shouts only grew louder with each word she spoke.
Christen looked around at all the outraged senators because someone was trying to prolong the war, but most of them didn't seem swayed. "Stand up, senators! You must see what is right. Rise! If you give the Separatists violence, they will only show violence in return! Many more will lose their lives! All will lose their freedom!" she told them passionately. The room was now suddenly quiet again.
"I pray you do not let fear push you into a disaster. End this war. Does anyone here want that? I believe they do," she finished, staring at all her colleagues. The room began to get loud again until Mas Amedda called everyone to order.
Looking up, Christian could see the Chancellor's blue eyes coldly staring down at their glider, but he saw that he wasn't even looking at Padme or even his wife. What made him a bit uneasy was the fact the Chancellor was staring at him. Then he felt an odd tingle in the Force as if someone was trying to enter his mind, he quickly put the minimal defenses needed, and the Chancellor flinched in his seat as if slapped. It was a few seconds before he finally spoke. He felt the Force emanating from the man, which confused him, but many people in their galaxy didn't know they were forced sensitive.
"Due to the lateness of the hour and the seriousness of this motion of executive powers, we will take up these matters tomorrow. Until then, the senate is dismissed," Palpatine told the senate.
As they went to exit the glider, Christen walked closely behind Padmé and Abigail down the senate building's main hall. "You did well," he told Padme.
"I hope they listen to what I had to say. They haven't been recent," she answered.
"They will if they believe in freedom, Senator. It would be best if you had faith that they'll make the right decision in this... but under my own opinion, I would have a good inclination to say they won't help you," he replied, though he couldn't say much more about how he honestly felt about the maggot and corrupted filled republic, this was in fear he wouldn't be able to get close to his old friend to dig into the republics databases, he already had set a few droids loose within the senate building, small mouselike droids that could slip through tiny cracks and go unnoticed.
He earned a shocked but, most importantly, respected look from his old friend. Loving the fact she didn't know it was him.
"What is your name? I don't think I have met you before?" She asked curiously, looking from him to his wife, who looked very worried as he didn't want to give the name he used in his army and military as he was soon to start raiding certain areas of the galaxy.
"You can call me Lord...P-Punisher. For you, my Lovely Senator, since I will be protecting you, can call me The Punisher," he said with no emotion.
Padme had still blushed completely red at the comment.
He glanced over his shoulder at his wife, who looked at him a little befuddled at his behavior.
"My queens, I will meet you at the Chancellor's office when the meeting resumes," he spoke through his mask.
"Wait, how do I comm you hen it starts?" padme called out before he left. Christen stopped and slightly turned his head before speaking.
"I have ways to find out the information I need senator, ill be there fashionably late."
Padmé and Abigail nodded before they slowly followed Typho out of the room and out the building to an idle republican shuttle speeder.
Turning around in the opposite direction from when they got onto the shuttle.
Christen jumped off the walkway, much to a few dozen gasps from the senators and their assistants. It took a few seconds before he saw HK in the back of his idle speeder, using the Force to slow his landing enough that he could safely grab the speeder's feet guards. A few grunts and a few movements later, and he had climbed into the driver's seat his own speeder.
Later that afternoon
Christian had returned from setting up their republic 501 suite to his liking. A few bugs and listening devices were hidden throughout the suite. He took them out quickly, then gave HK the right to strip or build any defenses for the building.
He now was standing outside the Chancellor's office when Padmé and some of her colleagues walked down the hall. Walking close to Padme was a... Jedi, a young one about 19 or 20, long dark brown hair that went to beyond his ears, the young man seemed to be very protective of Padme..as if he loved her. The young man's force presence was strong but seemed lacking as if held back from its potential...could this be his brother? To be honest, he was disappointed and angered if Jedi could have turned his brother into this...
Christen saw he had what looked to him like a new cybernetic right forearm. He grinned as he saw it was a BIOTECH cybernetic.
Looking around, he also noticed his wife was not with the group.
This was strange, but he would question her about it tonight; her group had reached the office. "Senator Amidala, my Beautiful mistress, I briefly checked over the wreckage of your ship, I have an idea of who it is, but I haven't been successful at finding concrete clues to prove it. If anything, I'm sure the Jedi probably have a few theories," he suggested, his compliment at the strat turned her face into a tomato, and the young Jedis face turned into one of deep anger. Taking a peek at the young Jedi, sensing that this young man was someone he has met before.
"And who might you be?" Senator Organa asked. He opened his mouth, but Padme cut him off.
"Senator, this is Lord Punisher. He is my newly appointed personal Guard. He has been hired to try to find the attempted killers," Padme replied, trying not to look at him but rather turning towards the young Jedi.
"Lord Punisher, this is Senator Bail Organa, one of my only trusted friends and colleagues." Christen bowed respectfully to the Senator.
"It is a pleasure, Senator," he stated as he took off his helmet, much to the gasps and taken aback looks, most of it because of his eyes and the three large scars that ran down his face.
Looking the man straight in the eyes., he saw the young Jedi reach for his lightsaber but did not pull it out.
"AH AH Ah youngling, trust me, you don't want to tangle with me unless you wish to be a cyborg" he spoke coldly, trying not to pay attention to the Jedi's whisper of "Sith"
The damn kid thinks I'm a sith just for my eyes, what a racist!
The lava-colored iris of Christen's eyes pierced the man's soul. Padmé could see the fearful expression on the Senator's face as Christen tried to engage him in a conversation, she saw his face, the high cheekbones, his tanned skin, his hair was as pitch black as his armor, and again she was filled with a sense of familiarity with the tall, muscular, handso... what was she thinking!? She has a husband, Anakin.
Christen was grinning while trying not to laugh from the amount of fear the Senator before him was released, and When Padme introduced him to the young Jedi, Christen was anything but ready for the answer. He felt stupid for not even realizing who it was.
"Punisher, this is my closest friend, Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker." Padme wrapped her arms around his brother's metal arm and looked at his little brother like a best friend, but he could tell they were in love
a long silence passed as christen's mind went completely blank. It must have shown on his face as padme soon had a concerned look while his brother simply looked agitated but a little confused at Christen's reaction.
To say his brother was weaker than he thought he would be was an understatement, and he was in love with one of his old friends. What a fantastic chance with fate.
Christen shook his head from his infuriating thoughts and slowly held his armored hand out to Anakin, who shook it silently as neither man said a word as they shook hands and just stared deeply into each other's eyes as deep-sea blue fought against lava orange.
Christen knew his brother could be one of the only people to take on his stare, even as a child.
A few moments silently passed before the man called Bail Organa stepped in to relieve some of the awkwardness.
"Yes…well…as we were asking, were there any leads on the attacker knight Skywalker?" he asked.
"I'm afraid not, and it seems the perpetrator was very good in covering their tracks, but don't worry, the Jedi will find them," Anakin replied, growling regretfully. Still, as he said the last part, he was looking at christen. He was about to say something else when all eyes turned towards a hissing sound.
They looked up when the doors slid open. Mas Amedda motioned them to come in to speak with Jedi master Yoda and his panel. Christen tactfully walked behind Anakin and Padmé, making sure they both stayed in his sight.
He didn't trust the Chancellor but didn't risk using the Force to see the man's mind in front of the Jedi. He voided his force signature so the Jedi couldn't detect his powers. The only thing that could slightly give his abilities away was the lightsabers on his hip and eyes.
"Senator Amidala, terrible your tragedy to my heart, this is, grateful we are, your survival is" Yoda expressed.
"Do you have any idea who's behind this attack?" Padmé asked immediately.
"Our intelligence points us to some desperate bounty hunters on Genosios," Mace Windu informed.
Christen bit back a scoff. Of course, someone would've planted evidence for the Jedi to find to make it look like some low-life bounty hunters. It's what the spies on hapes tried to do when he first caught onto their track.
"I think that we know that the Viceroy was behind this," Padmé insisted.
"He is a political idealist…not a murderer," Ki-Adi informed.
Christen couldn't help but laugh, getting cold stares from most of the Jedi present. Most had their hands on the hilts of their lightsabers as they either looked at his eyes or his lightsaber. He could already feel through the Force they thought he was aa sith.
"Try it, Jedi, I always do love a quick little...spar," he growled out, he was given a withering glare from padme, and if looks could kill, then the Jedi in the room would have done just that.
"Hmm, but for certain senator, in grave danger you are," Yoda warned and ignored Christen.
Christen stood behind Padmé with his arms crossed over his chest as he listened in on the conversation.
"Senator, could you please introduce us to your… Mandalorian friend here?" Ki-Adi asked curiously as he looked at Christen.
Christen's heart swelled when he was called a Mandalorian, one of the biggest dreams in his life. He blamed Revan for that.
Padmé glanced over her shoulder at Christen before speaking. "This is lord Punisher, my newly assigned personal protector and the King of the Hapen consortium. He was assigned to me by The Queen Mother and my old friend to help find those who are threatening my life again. They are here for a few months to see if the outside galaxy is indeed worthy of their...Culture" Padmé replied proudly, obviously his wife had known a question like this would come up and told her what to say.
The three Jedi masters were staring at Christen as though they were trying to see into his mind. Laughing, he raised his barriers effortlessly and to the max and enjoyed the shudders that went through their bodies and the shock he saw on their faces. Christen decided to give them a little pushback.
The Jedi felt him push them out of his mind and then entered their minds to scare them.
They looked on curiously and grew more fearful as they once again all looked towards his dangling lightsabers. "Master Jedi, may I suggest the Senator be placed under the protection of your graces once again, I beg you?" Palpatine asked, acting as if he were trying to ignore Christen. Christen could see Padme silently growl.
'Not this again. I just hope it will be Anakin again,' she thought.
"Do you think that is a wise decision with the war just starting? It has only been a few months since the battle of Geonosis." Bail asked.
"Chancellor, please, I don't believe the situation…" Padmé started.
"Is that serious? No, but I do, Senator. I realize all too well that more security might be disruptive for you, but perhaps someone you're familiar with? An old friend like Knight Skywalker did an amazing job last time, did he not?" Palpatine asked. Padme's face noticeably reddened in embarrassment and fear.
This slightly confused Christen until he looked at her right index finger to see a Krayt dragon pearl embedded into Naboo's native crystals. Christen smiled broadly when he figured it out. His brother and Padme were married or at least engaged.
"That's possible, he's just returned from a mission rescuing his droid friend, and he is about to go to the temple with his new padawan," Windu reported. The Senator quickly spoke up, "His name is R2-D2." She gave a very political glare at the Jedi master.
They were all silent for a second. Padmé looked over at Christen, who nodded slowly and gently in approval for the little Jedi security. Christen couldn't help but notice that the Chancellor was practically sneering at him and Padme. There was something about him that made him uncomfortable. Something that didn't seem right; he couldn't figure out why the man almost had an evil glint in his eye as he stared at Padmé. Could he be the darkness that covered the planet and the Jedi? Turning slightly, he also saw the annoyed expressions on the Jedi's faces, but most importantly, he looked at his little brother Anakin. He could feel their displeasure, knowing that Padmé only accepted their offer because "Lord Punisher" had silently told her that it would be a good idea.
He barely heard what Windu said about Anakin's padawan reporting in but heard Padmé say, "Thank you, Master Windu," the room started to shuffle out, thus pulling him out of his thoughts.
As the Jedi was leaving, Christen held out his hand to stop them, the small Jedi stopped, forcing the rest to also come to a stop. Yoda was the first to speak to him. " the queen's Guard, you are Hmm" he mused to him. The other Jedi looked unsure and hostile towards him. He smiled down at the green alien. He researched the old one he was going to illum.
"yes, that is my current...duty, Grandmaster Yoda," he said with his eyes, never leaving the group of Jedi behind the small Jedi. His answer got the dark-skinned Jedi to take out his lightsaber but not ignite it, as the others simply were shocked before following the man's action.
"Know of me. You do, Hmm?" he nodded at the question " Yes, I know a little. I know you are a wise and kind creature who has taught the Jedi for over eight hundred years."
"Master Yoda, please stop talking with this Sith. He already should be detained for his lightsabers alone" the dark-skinned Jedi with his lightsaber spoke loudly as he stepped in front of Christen and beside Yoda.
Now sith, tell us exactly why we shouldn't detain you right here"" he sneered, and before he could say anything else, the tiny Jedi smacked his cane on the man's shin.
Christen hated this man even when researching him while he was at the suite.
"Ah, Mace Windu, the Jedi who thinks he's mastered the Form Juyo, a stubborn, grim, and disdainful man who is blinded by his love for a dying republic and his own stupidity," christen spat back as he laughed out loud at the other Jedi reactions which ranged from shocked to enraged.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY" he ignited his purple lightsaber, but before he could make a move, Yoda yelled out, "Master Windu! calm down, you must," as he repeatedly smacked the man's shins with his cane.
"sith or Jedi, are you Hmm?" the small Jedi asked in curiosity
" Whatever I am is of no concern to the Jedi. While you may have a monopoly of force sensitives within the republic, remember that I am the King of the Consortium. If you even try to raise a weapon against me, it could very well mean three-way war since my consortium-wide Guard has become fiercely loyal to me," Christen sneered with disdain.
"Hatred for the Jedi order you have, Hmmm?" Yoda questioned
"Hatred no, Distain is a better term, your path or forbidding love is barbaric, and the way you choose to follow the Force makes me want to gut myself, As one so attuned to the force as yourself I would expect you to see through the nativity of this Order. Revan, Bastila Shan, and many others have fallen from your so-called light to embrace the dark and yet came right back into the light. Even though I find it foolish but at least Revan kept himself balanced. You believe you know everything about the Jedi and Sith, believing that ALL there was to the major orders of the Force, but unlike you, who all shun the dark side and refuse to read into the arts or the entirety of the Force, as I do. You're all so wrapped up in yourselves that you can't see past your own arrogance. You would tell me that only the Sith deal in absolutes, but the Jedi only seem to view things in black and white the array of colors that make up the universe, and don't get me started on the discussion on those younglings who you have claimed from their parents, even going so far as to mind trick unwilling ones."
They all gasped with shock and anger, a few taking igniting their lightsabers as his eye's color grew more bright. The tall-headed Jedi took a step back while Mace Windu and Yoda stood still.
"and I could count all your orders failures from the Great Hyperspace War and wiping out a whole race for simply existing within the Force. Then there was the Padawan massacre. Then the total extinction of anything you can get your hands on that didn't share your view on the force" he casually taunted them with their failures. A few looked disturbed, but the two masters did not even flinch, but he could feel their guilty, if not just a minimal amount.
"We don't make these choices lightly. Our code, for what you believe is our faults, has served the Jedi for thousands of years." Windu argues small arms crossed across his chest, his eyes glaring over who they presume as the Sith.
"Don't even attempt to deny it, Jedi. If a Jedi just so happen to conceive a baby, you take them, casting judgment on the parent or to even trick them into forgetting about their child just so you can train the baby. It is a cycle constant and repeated." Christen spoke as the Force channeling around him.
"The parents know the risk, and they choose to give in to their attachments," Windu argues, narrowing his eyes. "They have been bred to severe their attachments and control them. There are consequences."
Suddenly, the room around them goes cold, and they can sense Christen is the cause.
"Incompetent Jedi, it's not feasible to do what you just claimed, which nourishes another problem I have with your Order that I will address momentarily," Christen replies, shocking the Council as he glares at the dark man"You have no right to speak of attachment to me when you know so little of it, Windu."
Christen fired back with fire in his eyes and a hearty laugh, "You Jedi are all so damn ignorant in your ways. This is the answer that I had expected from you." tell me, Master Windu, do you know why I have your Oder's symbol alongside the sith one crossed out?" he amusingly questioned them, but there was still an underlying grow;
His growling voice seemed to make the Jedi take another step back.
"It would have to do with the adherent symbol on your shoulder, trying to start a new sect of sith!?" Mace answered with anger leaking from his tone, the man noticeably looking over to the grandmaster, who said nothing. Yoda did not like where the conversation was going and was confused about how the unknown Guard had such knowledge.
"True but false, it all has to do with the fact that your orders codes are so corruptable and so...hindering from reaching one's true potential in the Force. The Sith code was created to promote the pursuit of power within the Force and their belief that the strong ruled the weak, in direct contrast to the Jedi who use their command of the Force to help those who cannot help themselves. Which code do you think teaches the lessons needed to use the Force in its entirety, ill answer. Neither has done so since their birth," Christan replied menacingly.
" The Jedi never use the Force for personal gain, only to help others and to serve the republic…but the Sith use the power of the Force for themselves and only to destroy," Mace answered almost automatically.
"Did you know that long ago, when the Jedi Order was in its infancy, I shall recite it for you, and you tell me what you think?
Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion yet serenity.
Chaos, yet Harmony.
Death, yet the Force.
It's a great code, but still, even this is a flawed order and code, picked apart from the Order that resided in the galaxy before them, the Order that they destroyed in their ignorance. Now the ghost of that Order lives with me," Christen quipped with a snarl as he turned away, walking back to Padme, who was watching the tense conversation, leaving the three Jedi confused before they could even retort.
As the Jedi left shocked and debated whether to arrest him or not, Padmé sat down with Christen walking up behind her. Palpatine also seemed to be staring at the armored man, looking intimated by his appearance. Padmé clasped her hands in her lap, unconsciously twisting her wedding ring around on her finger as they began the meeting with the Chancellor.
"Senator Amidala, is it necessary to have your…protector here?" Palpatine asked.
"My name is Lord Punisher Chancellor, as well as the king of Hapes, 'd expect someone like you to have a bit more respect, and my self-appointed assignment is to stay with the Senator at all times," Christian replied coldly. Staring directly into the Chancellor's eyes and seeing into his mind without knowing.
What he saw would be terrifying to ordinary people. He saw this man was the last living Sith Lord, and he was and had been manipulating his brother to join the dark side. well, Kriff, taking over the galaxy might have to get a little more complicated
Padme smiled when Christen stood his ground, so Palpatine let out a sigh saying, feeling confused as he felt a little lightheaded, "Very well...your Highness, shall we begin?" he forced his smile as the man in front of him seemingly put fear into the secret sith lord, he would need to find a way to kill this man without ruining the war he has just begun manipulating.
