(Currently within the Republic cruiser's cell block)
"I'm begging you; I'm a very wealthy man. Help me, and I promise you will be generously rewarded." Gunray begged, looking at the half-dozen clones around him. The one nearest to him grinned.
"That is a very generous offer, Viceroy. In the meantime, though, I've got a present for you," he said and pulled out a pair of handcuffs. The Neimoidian stopped smiling at that, after which he then refused to say another word as he was lead to the vessels holding cells.
Ahsoka watched him go with a small smirk on her face, glad to see him getting some of his just rewards. Once the door closed behind them, she rejoined the three other Jedi on the bridge.
There was the one she had initially had been assigned with, Master Luminara Unduli. Then, the two other Jedi arrived. They were leaving Rodia—Jedi Knight Nahdar Vebb and Luminara's Padawan, Barriss Offee.
A Master, a Knight, and two Padawans, together, they would be more than enough to win against any assassins.
Luckily, they were not too far from Coruscant, only a few hours in hyperspace, and little chance they should encounter any trouble, so all was sailing well in her eyes.
It was strange and even more so quiet. Though for Ahsoka, it was nice seeing the punisher again while on Rodia, as he was the one to capture the Viceroy with Padme and the Gungan though he seemed to be in a bickering argument with the Senator when they picked the Viceroy up.
Master Luminara stepped forward. "Captain, have you been able to establish contact with the cruiser?" he asked. One of the two clones piloting the vessel responded.
"Yes, General. We'll try patching you through now," he said before pressing a few buttons.
On a screen above them, three armored members of Coruscant Security emerged. Luminara spoke up, saying, "Republic cruiser Tranquility, this is Jedi General Luminara, asking for permission to board." Captain Argyus said
"You're all clear, General. We await you and your prisoner." Then the screen went off, and the ship approached the Tranquility.
Ahsoka sighed. "Finally, we're here. This trip was a lot less fun than I'd thought it would be," she commented. Barriss chuckled. "Be glad for that, Ahsoka. A boring trip is a safe trip and one that lacks any bumps in the road to catch us off guard," she advised.
The ship reached the cruiser was landed inside, and the four Jedi assumed a ring formation around Gunray. As they led him to the ship's detainment center, they did their best to ignore his near-constant complaining. Even so, some of it managed to reach their ears.
"This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice. I demand to see my attorney!" he shouted. He was shoved along by Vebb, who said nothing but glared at the sniveling man before him.
Once they had met up with the Coruscant Security forces and passed Gunray off to them, the four Jedi walked off. Along the way, Barriss spoke up. "Master, I am curious. The Viceroy doesn't appear to be all that dangerous. Why have all this additional security just for his sake?" she asked.
Luminara frowned. "Be that as it may, do not let overconfidence cloud your judgment. Even as we speak, Gunray's allies may be conspiring against us. And even if they are not, we still have this mysterious fleet called the Savior's Empire to consider. There's no way of knowing whether or not they will strike. They are most unusual in their tactics, something we have yet to find a counter for," she warned. Ahsoka stiffened at the thought of the Savior's fleet bombarding their fleet like the malevolence.
At that moment, several parsecs away, Count Dooku was aboard a separatist cruiser and kneeling before a hologram of his Master, Darth Sidious. "Gunray's capture could be of great danger to us, my Apprentice. If pushed too much, it will not take much for the Jedi to make him submit to their interrogation tactics," Darth Sidious warned. Dooku nodded.
"I suspected that, My Lord, and have already put a plan into action. My best agent, Asajj Ventress, will infiltrate the Republic ship. When aboard the ship, she has orders to free Gunray or kill him. They are my best pair of our assassins, Ventress and Tor Skorr. They have delved deep in the dark side, Master. They will succeed," he assured.
Sidious was silent for a moment, thinking. Eventually, he said, "Very well. I will put my faith in you and your operative. You may proceed, but do not let this false Empire destroy our plans again. He has destroyed entire dases, ruined decades of planning, and has taken too much information for my safety and the Empires."
And with that, the hologram was deactivated. The door behind Dooku opened the moment it did, revealing that Ventress and a tall, lean human male, dressed in dark robes and armor-plating, adorned long blond hair and blue eyes that now bore the color yellow corruption of the dark side immersing inside the male. It seems they had been standing there the whole time. Without even looking behind him, the court said, "There can be no margin of error this time, Asajj. It is timed that you proved yourself worthy of being my Apprentice, and Tor, I believe this will be a mission in which you can redeem your hatred for the Jedi." the pair grinned like hungry animals. "I am worthy, Master. You'll see," she said.
"Your wish is my will, Master," Tor growled out in anticipation.
Captain Argyus looked into Gunray's holding cell. Inside, he could see the Viceroy and Luminara sitting across each other while the other Jedi leaned against the walls. Waving at one of the clones stationed nearby, he asked, "How's the interrogation gone? Has he cracked yet?"
Clone Commander Gree shook his head irritability.
"Not yet. But the Jedi will get it done, even with this scum Neimoidian on board, as slippery as he is," he said confidently.
Inside the cell, Luminara let Barriss try and fail to persuade the Viceroy. The Jedi slowly stepped forward, and she and the Viceroy locked eyes.
After a few seconds, Gunray was the first to blink, and this was when Barriss addressed him.
"Your eyes expose your fears. You're scared. Afraid of losing your wealth and your power, both of which you obtained because of this war," she stated. It was not an opinion but a well-known fact nobody in the senate wished to address.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm just a pawn in this war and a very innocent one that's being used," he said firmly.
However, it had been ruined because he looked away quickly as if he was being forced to. Nadhar added on, saying,
"You are far from innocent, Viceroy. You are covering up a lot of things in secret. The names of your allies and the locations of Separatist factory worlds, bases, and outposts. You will tell us this information, or your sentencing in the senate will not go as smoothly as one might think." Gunray shook his head.
"I know nothing!" he denied.
The Mon Calamari scowled at him and reached for his lightsaber. But Ahsoka, who had been silent until now, beat him to punch. She ignited hers and sprang forward, holding the blade inches from Gunray's throat. "I'm tired of your lies and all of your whining! Tell us what you know this instant, or I will gut you!" she yelled.
The Viceroy cried out in fear and fell backward, tipping his chair over as he fell onto his back. Both Barriss and Nadhar stared at her in shock, though Nadhar's had less surprise and more approval.
Luminara had only been surprised and moved quickly, grabbing Ahsoka by the arm and pulling her away.
"Ahsoka Tano, fear is not something to strike into others. That is not the Jedi way!" she whispered harshly.
Ahsoka angrily shook her head with a calm she didn't feel. "I wasn't going to kill him. But he'll only talk if he's frightened enough," she argued. Just as the Master would remind her that such a thing was not the Jedi way, they heard Gunray speak up. "Perhaps… I was a little too hasty to cast judgment. Maybe there is a chance for us to negotiate," he said, getting back to his feet.
Ahsoka looked back at Luminara and smiled. However, before either of them could say anything, all of them were suddenly knocked to the floor as a loud, powerful explosion went off, one large enough to cause the floor under them to tilt somewhat. Alarms began screaming, and Commander Gree activated his comm. "Bridge command, what happened? Answer me!" he said.
On the bridge, one of the clones ducked underneath the windows to avoid being seen through them. "Sir, it's a horde of separatist's droid fighters. There are dozens of them coming right at us from all sides. And they've brought boarding ships...they've connected with the mid decks of the vessel!" he said. Gree cursed and switched frequencies. "Green Company, prepare to battle! I don't want anyone to board this ship!" he ordered. A chorus of "Yes, sir!" responded.
The droid ships continued on their path towards the republics' ship, weaving in and out of the course of its laser turrets. Once close enough, the boarding ships dropped down and pierced right through the ship's hull above the hangar. Green Company reached the hangar just as the vessel opened, releasing a dozen B2 super battle droids. Once those droids landed on their feet, they reached forward and began firing with their wrist-mounted blasters.
The clones took cover behind piles of supply crates and exchanged fire. Blue and red blasters zipped from side to side across the hangar. However, even though they lacked any cover, the droids continued marching forward and shooting. With a grenade launcher mounted on its wrist instead of a blaster, one of them fired a shot and killed several clones in the ensuing explosion. And still, more droids dropped from the boarding ships.
Jerking his head to the side and barely avoiding a blaster bolt between the eyes, one of the clones ducked behind a crate. "Green Company to Commander Gree! Enemy droids have breached our hull and have us outnumbered! We think they're headed for the detention center, but we need assistance!" he said. Then he looked up and saw one of the droids standing directly in front of him.
The last thing the clone heard was that the sound of blaster fire. Groaning as he fell over, the clone took two shots to his chest, penetrating his armor and instantly killing him.
"This is not good, not good at all. I don't see how it could get worse," One of the clones muttered under his breath as he gritted his teeth. As if fate had heard him, the clone still on the bridge noticed a light on the command console began to flash red and contacted him with color rapidly draining from his face.
"Sir, our sensors are also detecting several large-" he began. Then he peeked over the edge of the console and stopped. While the droid fighters were boarding, he noticed behind them a dozen large battlecruisers surrounding six dreadnaughts and a vessel the size of which the Close had never seen before. Each of these ships looked very familiar. The fleet itself was stacked in a three-layer Phalanx formation.
"Commander, it's The Saviors Empire. They're here! But it seems to be a different fleet. Its colors and formations are nothing like them !" he said, causing everyone who heard the transmission to freeze in fear... there was more than another Fleet!
Aboard the lead capital ship of his newly appointed alpha fleet stood Christen in his Pitch black, silver, and red-banded armor as he waited for Amber to board the Republic ship along with squadrons of HK heavy assault, tank, and assassin class droids, he thought of his other children, Lucian should still be on Empires mini star forge, training to be an Admiral of a sectoral fleet in the making.
Crystal should be with her sister Emma. Currently, he had the Milarian female, whose name was Trinita. He skimmed over the fact she was meant to be a pleasure slave for the Hutts before Bane leashed her to the sith as they scour the sector of Chaponi for any Black suns and pirate holdouts.
And finally, his sons Galen and Damian were being trained as warriors upon tython. He had moved all Force based sections of his Empire relocate to the deep core system, and he wanted his sons to be the shield and armor of their Emperor and Empire.
His orders for them and the fleet were straightforward.
He looked towards his Admiral of the A-S7 Fleet, an average-sized sixty-year-old human. He had a receding hairline of slicked-back brown hair, a sharp nose, thin face, and high cheekbones, his eyes were green, the eyes would seem to demand respect, this man was Silarian Trance of Corrilla, a recommendation of Doth, said Bane used him for the first batch caravans of ships for the Empire and was supposedly a damn good coordinator, the man did well taking multiple systems in the Gree sector, liberating all planets for the Empire. And so the man found himself in charge of the Alpha Sectoral Fleets seventh division.
" Admiral, Keep formations one and two, tucked in and fanned out, strengthen the third and shift it a little to the rear, keep them along with the Flagship on the defensive, stay on stand by as I execute the target, remember this is a mission and a training exercise for both you, my Apprentice, and the troops. I want any ships that come near the fleet, whether its Jedi, republic, Sepritsts, Hutt's, stupid Senator's or pirates I want them blown to bits, am I clear Silarian" but he didn't hear a reply and instantly looked to the man with a snarl beneath his faceplate.
His Admiral was currently entranced watching the dogfights below and simply nodded.
Christen audibly growled and let a show of his force aura for a show of power. He smiled under his mask as the man started to squirm as the air began to feel heavy with the Force being unleashed. The Admiral was instantly knocked to the ground within a fraction of a second and could only look back up at the cold metal on his Emperor's mask in fear. The entire bridge stared at the man who lay before their Emperor shaking franticly.
Christen bent down and didn't stop till the visor of his mask was a few inches from the man's face. "Am I Clear...Admiral" the man didn't even notice Christen had two lightsabers floating behind him until he pulled them with the Force to float an inch from each of the man's cheek's, ready to skewer him in a millisecond.
"Yo-your order w-will be p-p-p-put out th-through the fl-fleet a-a-at once, M-m-my Lord" the man whimpered out and went to his team of generals who were watching the exchange, the men who were now frantically sending out his Emperor's commands to any and all sentient and droid generals and tactical advisers.
Christen snorted as he walked away to elevate to go to the hangers.
Christen knew he couldn't kill the Jedi, but he needed to remove any opposition that got in the way. Simple and easy to understand, he was confident enough in his newly built droids to get it done but, he was still worried about his Daughter. He never trained her much besides his holocrons that he left for them when he went with Bane. So this would be the first time he would see her in real action.
The separatist ships seem to have countered the Flagship's testing barrage of laser fire with their own, matching it hit for hit and taking no damage by directing power to their forward shields. It was all a ruse. The separatists, of course, tested their luck and pushed forward.
As soon as the lead ship was close enough, Christen and Amber, who had just slid behind him, He smiled as he could hear the faint intake of breath, 'she must have ran here.'
"Hmm, it seems you had a fun time coming here, making life hard for my clones, are you?" he quipped with a dead tone. He saw his Daughters body stiffen in confusion as to what emotion her father was feeling.
"I-uh...they were overbearing though!" she responded sheepishly. He was about to respond but was interrupted by the stomping of a dozen armored feet behind them. Christen didn't have to turn around to know the squadron of his Clones had just stepped in pace with them. He could even feel the anger and annoyance that they felt towards his daughter.
"Hmm, while I know you are only fifteen, but while you are on a mission, I expect you to treat the men that serve under you some respect, for they are the ones who at the end of the day were asked to keep you... the emperors Hand safe until you have finished your training. They don't even have a say in saying no to you... while in the Empire's fleets or upon the Empire's worlds, you are my Apprentice NOT my daughter, so act like it... so far, you and the zeta squadron have been doing well in the battle programs in the last two days, I expect you to not fail this mission, we are here to eliminate this scum and also dig in fear within the republic's forces, every single one of you should know's their order's they should have been sent this morning, I do hope you all survive and do well in the name of the Empire and your Emperor" and with that he and the rest of the group walked in silence.
They soon walked into the hallway's lower levels of the vessel and entered the loading docks of tunnel C-678, along with a squad of Yashan guards. The eight all got into the boarding Torpedoes, eager for blood and the righteous call of war.
Gree had to refrain from banging his head against a wall. "Okay, so it did just get worse," he said.
Luminara took command. "Commander, you will come with me. I'll need your assistance," she said and exited the cell. When Ahsoka began to follow her, she stopped and looked back.
"You three will stay here with Captain Argyus. Guard the Viceroy. Do not let anything get inside this room," she commanded as she slid her lightsaber into her hand.
Nadhar and Barriss both nodded, though Nadhar didn't seem pleased about the prospect of staying put out of the fight.
At the same time, Ahsoka said, "What? But..."
She stopped when she noticed the hard cold stare Luminara gave, one that told her the order wasn't up for debate. Bowing her head, Ahsoka said, "Yes, Master." Once Luminara was gone, Gunray couldn't help but add his two cents.
"It appears that there will be no need to negotiate, after all, Jedi. Perhaps after I am rescued, then I might be willing to hear you make an offer," he said. Nadhar had to resist going back into the cell to punch him for that. Ahsoka just wanted to simply ask this monstrosity of an Emperor, Lord Savior, why he is attacking the republic. They fought for peace and democracy, didn't they? Why destroy us when we are helping the galaxy!.
Once the separatist battle droids had left, one more person dropped from the boarding ships back inside the hangar deck. It was none other than Ventress. Behind her came a tall human figure, decked in black armor, long dirty blonde hair dangling beyond his shoulders, his eyes glowing a sickening gold. The pair looked around to make sure that the coast was clear.
It wasn't.
One of the clones who had managed to stay alive saw them. Quickly, she activated both of her lightsabers and charged.
"Why do I get stuck with crazy shit every time" Tor Skorr groaned as he brought his hand to the bridge of his nose.
The clone tried to move back and issue a warning. "All units, there's a pair of Sit-!" he started before Ventress silenced him permanently by cutting off his head.
As the head rolled away, the comlink was still on. "Trooper, what have you found? Come in!" he said.
"Wow, you such a bitch Ventress, no wonder you are named the Animal of Dooku, your nothing but a beast with no tactical calling, have luck with your part of the mission Asajj" Tor didn't wait for her angered growls and threats, he had a direct order from Lord Dooku to confront this Emperor.
Ventress Snarled at the retreating man, momentarily she picked the comm device off the body before attaching it to her arm. Spotting an air duct, she Force-leaped towards it and used her lightsaber to cut open a hole. On the comlink, she could hear the clones still talking to each other.
"These damn Empire's forces and Super battle droids are everywhere firing against each other, at us, at nothing, simply killing everything in sight, and the Empire seems to be gaining ground! Fall back to the detention level! We have to protect the prisoner at all cost's Ahh... HK-7485 unit has confirmed the section four hundred of the vessel's hallway system's, all meatbags and inferior droids have be...!" Ventress narrowed her eyes at that and began moving forward through the air duct as she had only ever heard rumors of this Lord Savior and his elite fleet.
Eventually, she reached an opening and carefully moved the grate covering it to the side. From the looks of it, she had reached the main engine and generator room. Standing on the walkway to the generators was a republican surveillance droid. Not a challenge. By the time the droid looked over the air duct area, the grate was already back in place, and Ventress was nowhere to be found.
Two clone troopers entered the room after the droid and also began looking around. "See anything?" one of them asked. The droid responded with a shake of the head, indicating that it hadn't. "Right. It seems like the engine room is clear. We'll lock it down, just to be safe," the clone said.
"Good idea. Then we should get going to help the Jedi on the prison level. 327, you keep watch here," the second clone said.
The droid swiveled its head to look at him, giving off an annoying squeaking. The clone took a step back. "Alright, alright, 327-T," he amended.
"You know droids don't like being given nicknames," the first clone stated, and the two of them left the engine room. 327-T continued its surveillance. However, Ventress was on top of one of the engines, out of its line of it moved far enough away, she pulled several bombs from her pocket and began throwing them. Each one stuck to whatever surface they hit and alerted the droid to the sound of them whistling by. Ventress kept moving to stay out of its line of sight and settled each charge one at a time. Once the last charge was set, she bounced back to the grate and slid back inside, 327-T none the wiser.
The Green company tried to hold off the marching separatists' droids along the ships' halls as best as possible. But what the super battle droids lacked in skill, they made up for in numbers and firepower. As the distance closed between them, it became harder to avoid being shot at. Two troopers found that out the hard way as they fell to the ground with smoke rising from them. The droids nearly reached them when they were suddenly shot at from the side.
Several HK Tank class droids had reached the clone's position and opened fire in the hallway connecting to theirs, instantly killing a third of the meatbags within the hallway along with a fourth of the droids.
Half of the Separatist droids switched targets to handle the new threat, while the other half focused on Green Company. The two sets of droids fired at one another, not stopping as their allies were blasted into pieces or when sustaining their injuries to metal plating.
But these Variant's of HK units were only a ruse, something the super battle droids found out only a few moments too late, as none of the droids had fallen under the low leveled blastor that Christen had when Amber was using them for training. Thus the Sepritists droids simply got knocked back with critically damaged chassis and opened fire.
"well, now I know how effective the lowest setting on the tank class is," Christen's heavily distorted voice called as he threw himself into the fray of battle, instantly destroying three of the B2 droids, the satisfying sliding of metaled metal as they fell into pieces by his four lightsabers. He twirled around himself fast enough that the clones seemed to think he was covered in flames.
The thuds of metal hitting the ground gave away his position more so than his voice did. He revealed himself to the clones in his newly minted outer shell for his armor, a quantum beskar infused armor shell(Quantum-Crystalline, bonded with beskar).
It was a centimeter and a half thick, weighing him down by five more pounds. It had cost his Empire many headaches to make the Quantum Beskar. He heard the forgers already hated him for taking all of that precious metal for his own uses. He was beyond lucky his Empire had found a small asteroid holding two and a half tons of the indestructible metal, and when mixed with beskar, it contained all kinds of energy and stealth capabilities. Thus he only had enough for his armor, backup lightsaber hilts, a few blastors, and a custom shuttle.
For now, he even had to wait two weeks for this armor to be made, and he was damn sure going to make the wait worth it.
He stood there unwavering, simply staring the hallway down, taking in the scene before him as he was unknowingly twirling his two lava double-bladed lightsabers, the proud new grandmaster of the Jedaii order, he, of course, felt the Acolyte stalking him from a distance, his companion simply barging her way to her target.
The B2 droids, upon losing ground, split into three groups to attack their multiple enemies, their processors taking a different route to the problem that lay before them.
Christen quickly sprinted forward, the rush of adrenaline flowing through his body as he fell into the Force, twirling his sabers around his body in intricate swings, easily deflecting the initial wave of blaster fire. Throwing his lightsabers forward, spinning fast enough to make a high-pitched scream from the wind, his blade severed the legs of a squadron droid, causing it to fall sideways.
Due to the hallway's small space, his lightsaber accidentally sliced through three of his droids, which were thrown aside. The power behind the blows was so great. Thankfully the heavy attack variants have lightsaber-resistant plating. They fell into the wall with a loud thud.
When the surviving droids tried to shoot at him in his crouched position, he straightened up, holding his hand out as his saber came back to him. He began to spin his blades in a circular motion, and the orange glow suddenly becomes a circular blur as he twirled them around to start deflecting every one of the hundreds of blaster bolts that were shot at him.
The Force surged through him as like an old friend, and now his only thought was to deflect and kill these useless clones with precision. He began to willingly take hits from certain blastors so he could precisely hit each droid with a deflected bolt, either connecting with their chests or head.
He hardly ever hit anywhere else. Why deflect a bolt into their limbs? They could easily fire upon you when your back is turned. It is better to simply discard the fleshy bodies of their souls. The training of his masters had always kicked in as soon as a fight started. The droids just kept pouring out and kept firing, forcing him on the defensive. Fortunately, a voice behind him called, "My Lord, get down!" he didn't second guess his Daughter.
If she saw an opening and thought to tell him, then he would be okay with it, and then assess the scene after, he quickly hit the floor, his armor lightly denting the floor.
Behind him stood his Daughter in the armor he made right before going to Korriban. It had been locked up in the fortress closets of the master bedroom. It had red rancor leather protecting the shoulders and upper arms. Black force alchemy durasteel plating covered the chest, back, and forearms. Black leather and cortosis mesh made up the pants and leg covering. He saw his daughter colored the cortosis boots to a maroon red.
It was a pretty simple design for armor. Of course, he didn't want to stand out much before he left with Bane, but it seemed the armor fit his Daughter well after her customization to fit her size.
He made sure of it since he had a counsel of the former sith help her upon her day on Ashla is the tython system a few days before the first battle in the Gree sector.
Amber extended her arms backward, digging her feet into the ground, and recklessly delivered a force scream full of energy that passed over him like an unmoving rock in a stream. His armor's sensors were messed up for a few seconds before they went back to normal. He really hated that Lady Takia trained his daughter in force screams. He thought she would have hit the droids with a barrage of lightning, but alas, it was not.
The blast Slammed into the droids, some of them were merely torn apart, but most of them were sent flying back a few dozen feet. They began firing wildly as they tried to spin and dodge the deflected blasts as christen had gotten back up, simply glared through his helmet at his Daughter, who tried to look as small as possible and went to look back at the droids who were still flying through the air.
Father and Daughter reached out with the Force, stopping them from hitting the far wall, and then rotated the droids in mid-air to fire on the other separatists' droids attacked from three different sides of the hallways as the death eaters on the rest of the level finished blasting the remaining battle droids.
Christen let Amber finish off the ones they were manipulating by smashing them into each other.
Christen softly sighed and detached his lightsabers back into four, placing them back on his belt. "Thanks for the save back there, but I would have used lightning. Otherwise, we wouldn't have had to catch those droids. They all simply would have been fried. But I guess you're learning fast, I hope the rest of this mission oy show the same attitude, but you still need to practice with your precision and giving your companions a nudge in the Force instead of screaming a warning out loud to me, thus giving the enemy a chance to brace for your attack or even give up your location, but also the enemies," he said. His Daughter nodded, smiling wickedly under her helmet. They were turning through one of the halls at the moment with a couple of droids behind them, but before she could respond, some of the remaining clone troopers approached.
There were five of them in total, all aiming their blaster rifles at the two Jedaii. "Hands where we can see them. And don't try anything funny, sith bastards," one of them warned.
Christen reached into the clone's minds with Force, just as he thought they were too afraid to fire, simple specimens meant for orders, not much different from the droids he just destroyed. These men have no free will, so he won't treat them like living people. Father and Daughter looked at the clone for a moment and then at each other.
Christen smiled underneath his mask. His Daughter doing the same.
"Just let me handle this, my young apprentice," Christen told her through their force connection.
After a moment of thought, his Daughter shrugged, and before her shoulders were back down, her father was gone from her side. She simply chuckled as she struggled to follow her father's movements before her.
Christen was a speeding blur of lava with the sounds of his lightsabers filling the air. A low exhale could be heard as he quickly covered the dozen-meter distance with the clones in a second. Lunging forward, he grabbed two of his sabers while sheathing the other two. He promptly blocked the dozen blaster bolts shot at him and stabbed into one of the clones' stomachs, his other hand quickly twirling as his lightsaber bisected the clone. He finished his movement by decapitating a second clone with his other saber.
The others reacted slowly and aimed for him, but he quickly kicked one of them in the knee. A loud snap was heard from bones being destroyed as his beskar boot's met the clones' weak plastoid armor. Blood splattered out as the leg was now at an unnatural angle, a bone protruding through the opening. The clone screamed in pain underneath his helmet.
He then extended his arms, lightsabers held out horizontally in his fists, and easily grabbing the other two with the Force. He began raising them into the air. They flailed around like toddlers as they tried desperately to get away from his invisible grasp.
"The Jedi will kill you filth" on the clones tried to taunt, he saw his Daughter tense up in anger, he put a light force pressure on her shoulder with a thought to calm her and spoke to the foolish clone.
"When one relies on sight to perceive the world, it is like trying to stare at the galaxy through a crack in the door... Unfortunately for you, I'm all too happy to have to slam it shut," he said Happily, and then his fists gripped his saber hilts as hard as possible, instantly the two formerly living clones they were crushed impossibly fast by force, the sound of bones and armor breaking and snapping as bright red flowed from the cracks to pool around the floor beneath.
He turned to see that Amber had finished the one he had stabbed through the stomach. He was trying to crawl towards the blastor he dropped. Within ten seconds, all four bodies lay lifeless, bloody, and broken on the floor. Christen continued onwards as if just walking in a park. Amber, who was even now used to her father's brutality, was still shocked but shook her head of such feelings as a dozen more clones appeared before them, her father already ahead of her, as he already began his slaughter of them, quickly she jumped into the fires of war as well.
Ahsoka opened her eyes, having chosen to try and meditate to pass the time. When doing so, she could sense all the fighting abord the vessel as she touched the force she felt as the two Jedaii tore through the enemy droids… also cutting down several squadrons of clone troopers.
Beside her, Nadhar gripped his lightsaber tightly.
"Cutting down those clone's simply because they were in the way… Despicable, just plain despicable, those sith will not make this mistake again," he said with anger emitting from him.
However, before he could say anything else, they turned to see them being quickly approached by Captain Argyus. "Padawans Tano and Offee, Knight Vebb, may I have a word?" he requested.
Ahsoka nodded slowly and stood up. As she did, she was able to fake a smile and look back at Gunray. "Looks like your rescue didn't work out after all. You won't go anywhere while we talk, right?" she asked. But she knew those Jedaii could be coming any second. The Neimoidian gave her a half-hearted glare. "Oh, ha-ha, perhaps I spoke too freely. When you return, I am ready to discuss our negotiations again," he said reluctantly.
The three Jedi followed the Captain to the control room. "I've just been given the all-clear. The droids have been repelled, the Savior's droids have also seemed to go back to their ships, though they stripped the ships of most weapons and supplies, each room abord the middle levels have been rummaged through and destroyed. Your Master Luminara had contacted me letting me know she is moving to intercept the Jedaii now," he reported.
Barriss smiled and was about to speak… when they heard the sound of a lightsaber cutting through metal. Looking behind the Captain, they saw part of the control room ceiling fall in, and from the opening dropped none other than Ventress. The two soldiers near her went for their weapons, but she kicked them both in the chest before they could aim, each blow caving in their armor and making them hit the walls with enough force to be rendered unconscious.
The three Jedi ignited their lightsabers and moved in front of the Captain, blocking the way to Gunray's cell. "Well, if it isn't the hairless night sister," Ahsoka said. Ventress took the insult in stride, replying, "If it isn't Skywalker's filthy, obnoxious pet. And what's more, you even brought friends."
Nadhar stepped forward. "As exciting as exchanging taunts might be, I am looking for a fight. For all the lives you have terminated, I will make sure you do not leave this ship!" he said.
Ventress ignited both of her lightsabers in acknowledgment, the total of five blades filling their room with the sound of their humming.
However, just as she was going to attack, the door behind them suddenly burst open as the metal doors smashed into the opposite wall.
The four of them looked and saw Christen and Amber standing there, silently taking responsibility for the entire situation simply. Still, the superiority they emanated was enormous... that was until his Daughter started talking before he could make his entrance much more meaningful. Immediately, Amber screamed, "There's the target!" and leaped forward… at Ventress, her single-bladed fellow lightsaber igniting midair. Christen screamed at his Daughter, "Ahh NO, you Fucking Idiot," but he was too late.
What happened next was utter chaos. He knew she would be too eager to kill on her first true mission with him, what was supposed to be a simple lesson in how to take down the Jedi, then deal with the Acolyte that has been following him since entering the vessel.
But now he had to deal with an unruly daughter who jumped into a situation they just got into, as if she was trained and experienced enough for it, oh fore he would both love and hate the amount of lightsaber 'training' when they got back to the Empires borders.
Seeing Amber jump at her, Ventress quickly jumped towards the ceiling, causing her to sail past her and towards the Jedi. Nadhar and Barriss reacted and Force-pushed the Knight away, causing her to reverse direction and suddenly fly back across the room.
She gracefully landed on her feet, and Christen growled as he put a firm hand on his Daughter's shoulder and pulled her back just hard enough that she almost dislocated her shoulder, a wail of pain erupted from her before she clamped down on her tongue at the amount of rage she felt from her father. "You will do as I fucking say CHILD, I will deal with these weaklings, YOU keep that night sister and the viceroy from leaving!" he yelled while slapping the back of her helmet hard, earning him a loud wail of annoyance and slight pain, he smiled as he quickly walked towards Barriss with all four lightsabers ignited, it would be a nice little reunion when the Jedi master returned to her Padawan either dead or delimbed.
Rather than wait for Amber to do the same, Ahsoka charged and engaged her in combat, both of their blades striking flashes of green and yellow as they hit. That left Nadhar to engage Ventress begrudgingly, he wished to cut down this Emperor, but he would have to get past the witch, who had landed back down and was about to slip by. "Not so fast, witch!" the Mon Calamari roared, swinging to cut her legs from beneath her. Ventress stopped before she was in reach and let the attack pass by before proceeding closer and turning at Vebb in a crossed downward slash.
He leaned away from the strike and countered with a horizontal sweep, which Ventress ducked under and tried to go for his legs. Rather than jump over the blades and let her swing from below, he blocked both crimson lightsabers and shoved them back towards their wielder, trying to overpower her strength with his own.
It didn't work. After only a few seconds of pushing against each other, Ventress dominated the young and reckless Nadhar and pushed him back, sending him sliding down the hall. Grinning, she chased after him.
Amber, meanwhile, had made a defensive stance to counter Ahsoka's assault. While her skills with a lightsaber made her no stranger to unusual forms of combat, she still had only practiced with droids, and former sith that made her feel like a bug. Ahsoka used an older form of Form V, Shien, which utilized a reversed grip on one's lightsaber. Amber had just started working on mastering this form, but it was still the one she was currently training in. This made it harder for Amber to predict where she would strike next. Still, Ahsoka's inexperience at fighting a powerful force-wielder made them somewhat evenly matched.
Amber went for a stab to the stomach, which Ahsoka blocked, pushing the blade to the side and leaving her front open. However, before she could capitalize on it, Amber spun quickly and brought her lightsaber around from the side, forcing the Padawan to duck under it or have her head cut off.
Amber continued her rotation and followed it with a spinning boot, which Ahsoka blocked with her forearm. The Padawan withheld a grunt of pain at the strength behind the blow, while the other party barely felt anything only made possible by wearing her armor. The female Knight quickly withdrew her leg and struck again, now forcing Ahsoka to a more defensive stance while Amber went for the offense.
On the other hand, Christen had been on the offensive right from the start, even though he was simply toying with the Jedi. While each second they fought, he gained more information from her mind as he could surpass her weak barriers without her knowing. The young girl was far too inexperienced to feel his rummaging, and on top of that, she was too focused on surviving his stikes. Every attack he had made attempted to crush Barriss's defense and hack her to pieces. Thus because of her inexperience, it left her almost no room to counter. Blocking an overhead from his two front lightsabers striking that was intended to split her in half,
"You don't have to do this, Emperor Savior! PLEASE stop this madness and surrender. No one here needs to be harmed!" she screamed to dull ears.
That was the wrong thing to say.
Even though his helmet kept her from seeing his face, she saw a slight glass fall behind the mask, and now she could see through the t shaped mask and looked straight into his eyes.
Barriss could feel this man's Sith-like eyes burn her very being as if it was taking the living Force from her, which had temporarily made her pause in terror. At this moment, she had never felt so weak, so small. The power made grandmaster yoda seem like a knight rather than the most powerful Jedi.
Christen growled loudly, which made her slightly lose focus on his eyes. "This will end in your death, pretty one. Id keeps your words to yourself. You should try surveying before I get bored," he yelled and tightened his grip on his lightsabers, detaching his lightsabers putting two back onto his belt.
He spun before slashing powerfully at her chest. His use of the Force increased the momentum behind the blow, and there was a bright red flash that blinded the Jedi. Just for a moment, the flash caught the eyes of everyone in the room. Barriss looked on, squinting in pain as she saw her lightsaber was still in front of her, but her brain screamed in terror upon seeing the Savior's lightsabers yet ignited by his side.
Despite deflecting the blades, Barriss was swiftly thrown back a few meters as Christen forcefully shoved her. She stared her opponent down but suddenly noticed a stinging feeling enveloped her whole body, mainly her chest. Looking down, she could see the man's lightsabers had slashed across her chest in an X shape, the burning of fabric, flesh, and bone filling her nostrils. While the wounds were not deep enough to kill her, it would be enough that she would not get up until she was in a bacta tank, but as the pain set in, it became too much for her as she fell back with a slurred scream of pain as she sunk to the floor in unconsciousness.
At this point, the clone troopers arrived from down the hallway, and Ahsoka was the first to notice them. "Blast them! Blast them!" She ordered.
The guards responded with a barrage of blaster fire flying towards Ventress and the Jedaii.
Christen merely stood still over the slowly dying Jedi padawan, not bothering to even look at the clone troopers, letting his armor take the blows, most deflecting into the floor and walls, but some deflected back. Into three clones instantly burrowing through their chests.
Five remained from the eight that arrived, but Ahsoka, who was shivering in terror at the overwhelming power, soon became terrified. She saw the remaining clones left in the air, and even before she could scream for a plea to stop, the bodies of the clones seemed to be crushed in on itself, her face contorted in horror at the scream that lasted half a second, the red liquid leaked out from each crack in the armor, bones protruding outside, and it was at that time Ahsoka puked on the floor on the vessel and stared at the monster that just murdered eight people like it was nothing.
Amber, meanwhile, spun her lightsaber like a windmill and repelled any that neared her. But as soon as it started, a bright flash of orange and white coming from Christen enveloped their vision,
Amber and Ventress stood in awe as she stared, as the Jedi looked on in shock and terror at the man they knew as Emperor. He had killed all of them, except for Captain Argyus, who was hiding behind some rubble, without even lifting a hand.
Christen picked up the Captain with the Force and threw him into Nadhar, knocking both of them to the ground.
With her opponent finished, Ventress ran towards Gunray's cell. As she tried to undo the electric lock, he declared in a frantic and hopeful voice, "Hurry! Get me out of here, and you can have any amount of credits!" Sparing a glare at the Neimoidian,
"Be quiet, or I'll have your head!" she said, and That shut the Viceroy up. However, before she could disengage the lock, her senses spiked, and she spun around, just barely blocking a skull-crushing fist coning for her from Christen. She dodged it barely but was even more terrified when she saw he left a fist like a crater in the durasteel door.
Ahsoka saw Barriss behind him on the ground, barely conscious and blinking rapidly. Bariss started panicking when she remembered her chest was slashed open as spots of red danced in front of her vision, and her entire body throbbed in pain.
She had been almost killed, so she was not surprised by how she was feeling, but still, the feeling of her life slowly draining away was alarming. She looked for Ahsoka and widened her eyes as she force pushed the smaller of the Jedaii into a wall.
Ventress barely moved Christen's next strike and was surprised as he reached out with the Force, grabbing her by the neck and seemingly paralyzing her whole body as it was stiffened into a standstill a foot above the floor, she could feel a pressure push on her head, her skull creaking under the amount of pressure christen put on it.
Ventress gasped and tried to break his hold as blood started to exit her nose and ears from the extreme pressure. With all the dark side she could muster, she tried to free herself from the iron grip, but Christen held strong.
Slowly, he raised her into the air and watched with dark satisfaction as her struggles grew more intense and frantic. He could feel her life force fade with each passing second. He snickered under his mask as he continued getting information from her mind as she weakened...Mhmm, so much about this past Jedi and now sith lord Dooku...so I was right the Sith Master bane was talking about, and the Jedi were hunter was the Chancellor, a simple politician from Naboo, pftt a weakling compared to his sith masters, no doubt a simple challenge, but perhaps seeing what this sith plans would be beneficial...for now.
He was forced to release her when his brother's Padawan recklessly attacked, having broken away from his Daughter, and charged him. Quickly, he threw a volley of force lightning, which made the Torguta scream as she was thrown back, smoke rising from the burnt skin and clothing of the young torguta. He then threw Ventress off to the side, smashing her head against the durasteel walls. He opened the cell door and sidestepped as Ahsoka slid past him and Gunray, who slipped out of the cell. Christen quickly re-shut the door.
"truly, you Jedi are Laughable with your Swordsmanship, your order's battle master, and should be ashamed" he sneered at the remaining Jedi.
Gunray laughed at seeing the female Togruta in the same spot he had been in.
However, before he could boast, he was forced to the side by Christen, who accidentally knocked him down while stepping back to block an attack from Nadhar with one lightsaber and struck quickly with his other saber, cutting him across his legs and sending him to the ground wriggling and moaning in pain, what a stupid move! And this man was supposedly a knight, PATHETIC.
Gunray thought he had a chance to boast, not realizing Christen was going to kill him.
He looked back at Ahsoka. "Now, this is truly a delicious irony. How do you like your new room, little one?" he taunted as the large frame of Christen stood behind him.
Ahsoka gritted her teeth and swung at him.
Her lightsaber was deflected by the energy shield, though she still succeeded in scaring Gunray.
He tried taking several steps back in fear but barely took one when he suddenly felt a pain in his chest and saw two lava-colored lightsabers protruding from his chest. He looked at Ahsoka, who stood with her mouth agape. He blinked one more time before he was dismembered into pieces and his body parts fell with a loud thud.
Ahsoka was in horror. How could someone just kill with what seemed like no remorse? It was at that moment that the elevator opened, and Master Luminara arrived. Quickly, she took in the sights of her dying Padawan, an entire squadron of clones that stood unrecognizable in their death, Ashoka in the cage, and a legless Nadhar crying in pain on the ground.
And of what could only be the Viceroy's dismembered body lying at the feet of the infamous Emperor and his much smaller Jedaii companion, even now she could not lie that this man's size and how much power she felt from him through the force was intimidating.
Quickly, she drew her green lightsaber and charged, calling, "Halt...your Majesty" She used the Force to push down the lock behind him to disengage the cell, opening the door.
Ventress, who seemed to Christen to be dumber than his wife when drunk and around politicians, leaped out at the Jedi Master as if she was the being this bald head needed to get passed to survive, christen thought the other sith would come out and take him on by now, but his signature still was creeping around the ship.
The young Torguta ran past him to help her fellow Jedi. This move both surprised him and disappointed him. She was too scared to fight him, He wondered where his daughter was, but then saw a cozen running on two dismembered clones surrounded his daughter, he knew the armor would hold, and she had a comm if she truly needed help, but at this moment, she was a swirling mass of yellow and flying white plated limbs.
His attention then turned to Ventress blocked Luminara and Ahsoka's strike. The remainder of Green Compan, who had pointedly retreated away from his daughter and pointed their blasters at Ventress.
With all of those weapons aimed at her, she chose not to attack. Instead, she deactivated her lightsabers and slowly placed her hands behind her head. Only for them to notice the blinking red light on the metal band around her wrist. It released a loud chime, and everyone could hear and feel all the bombs she had laid below the deck as they went off. Destroying the generator room and rocking the entire cruiser from side to side.
Christen was staring at Ambers unconscious body, most likely from the combined efforts of killing so many clones and the explosion he attempted to use Force to wake her up. Ventress took advantage of the distraction and quickly force-pushed Luminara out of the way and ran towards the elevator. The surviving clones of Green Company tried to shoot her down, but she deflected the shots with her lightsabers and then used them to slide down the elevator shaft wall.
Ahsoka and Luminara followed, and as Ahsoka looked back, she saw Christen staring with his fire eyes right into her soul as they both turned to jump down the elevator shaft. "Well, what are we waiting for?" The master Jedi asked, and as both were about to jump down. Suddenly they felt Christen's metal armored hands crunching both of the Jedi's arms, stopping them from being crushed by the elevator that rushed past them.
Both Jedi quickly tore away from his grip as he let them go. They both looked at the pair of Jedaii. "Thanks," Ahsoka said. Christen stared straight into the master Jedi's green eyes as she had not thanked him. "It is very disrespectful not to thank someone for saving your life, JEDI! Perhaps you lost the sense of decency in that temple of yours," Christen growled, making both Jedi's fear spike. Upon noticing that Ventress was gone, he ignited his two blades and pointed them at the Jedi.
Ahsoka and Barriss were stumbling and struggling to stand up, but all drew their weapons in response, but the fight was stopped by Amber and Luminara, respectively. "Father, you need to calm down. The night sister is no longer here, and the other sith is awaiting us," she advised him, lightly grabbing his arm and slowly but firmly lowering it.
She knew what she said was beyond hypocritical but truthful all the same.
"Father?" the Jedi echoed in confusion, but soon they saw a shadow creep from behind a large amount of rubble. He wore black armor covering his entire upper body, all-black robes, and armored thighed pants to adorn it.
"your Daughter, it seems, is very well immersed in the force... My Master will take pleasure in her capture," a voice spoke from behind Christen.
"you do realize my droids were following you the entire time, and even then, you lack the discipline to fully disperse your force signature." christen spoke in a no-nonsense tone as if scolding a child, he could tell the young torguta and his daughter was smiling.
"oh, is that so? Jed...Jedaii as you call yourself," he taunted.
"Yes, an order much much older than either the Jedi or Sith... and you are neither, you are but a tool to be molded for use and then discarded, do you really think you will survive this encounter? This was a personal exercise mission for my Apprentice's infiltration fleet. THIS is Practice. You are nothing to me." and with that, christen ignited his lightsaber and lunged forward, had this mission went better with his daughter, he would have dueled this man for fun, hell even tap his daughter in for around, but now he simply needed to reprimand her for her actions.
This act startled the wide-eyed Acolyte, who thought he would at least get some more information.
The Jedi and Amber stood where they were, unsure of whether to fight each other.
They were amazed, though, as Tor ignited his crimson blade and attempted to block the Emperors strike, but what shocked then was that in midair, christen took one hand and grabbed a large blade from his thigh and deactivated his lightsaber right as it was about to meet, used the force o enhance his speed as he sidestepped and shoved the eleven-inch beskar blade into the man's chest.
The knife slid in like it was butter, a loud exhale exited the man who now couldn't stop the blood from pouring out his mouth as christen raised the man n the air, blade stile inside, he held the Acolyte's hips and dragged the knife downward seven inches, the Dark sider's screamed in pain his eyes blazing yellow before dulling as his life slipped away.
Christen growled loudly as he hurled the dead man away and into the wall with a loud thud, the man's head cracking open upon impact. He turned around and saw the terrified look on his brother's Padawan's face, slowly he deactivated his lightsabers and placed them back on his belt. In the background, he could see the Jedi he had merely scratched with his lightsaber's had gotten up, though she looked to be on the verge of death. He saw her heal herself a little.
Luminara, meanwhile, stepped closer to them. "I-I-I f-feel as if there has been an m-misunderstanding. Were you not here to assassinate Viceroy Nute Gunray of the Trade Federation?" she asked, keeping her words polite, though direct. Christen snorted, muttering thought his voice respirator on his mask "As if I would waste my actual fleets who are busy with immersing the sectors we have taken into the empire time worrying about that useless federation slime. I got what I needed from him when I went into his mind, this was an exercise to see how my fleet that in the future will be under her command worked together, so far for the troops it has been a massive success, you have almost no clones alive, no technicians or bridge members aboard that are breathing, the ship has been stripped of all valuables... though my Knight could use some work on tactical advantages" while he looked at the turned horrified toguta next when he spoke his following words.
"Consider this, killing you right now, as my Daughter said, is ONE too easy and Two not worth my time, and besides, I love Assassinating assassins and acolytes. They always look so surprised when you one-up them the entire time," he chuckled to himself maniacally with his little joke to lighten up his agitated mood.
Amber sighed in annoyance and looked at the Jedi Master.
"What my Emperor is trying to say is, no, we came here for information and My final week of training to become a fully-fledged knight and to kill the Dark side sith wannabes trying to find our fleets, besi-" she was going to continue but got cut off by her father slapping the back of her helmet roughly.
"I had learned of his capture from a strike team of mine on Rodia and suspected that the Confederacy would send the night sister to capture or kill him. So, I ordered my Apprentice's future fleet to board this ship, strip and kill all inside with precision and give a wide area of space for more dangerous targets to be handled by their future commander. Secondly, they were to extract information before he was sent to the senate, while I came into watch it all and killing a thorn in the galaxies side," he explained.
Luminara frowned upon having learned that someone knew of the Gunray's capture so quickly. This spoke to how well this Empire's intelligence operations were. Having anticipated a rescue attempt before it even happened suggested that whoever was ordering these Knights around knew how to strategize... and this was just an exercise mission. And that could spell problems in the future. "Then it appears we have a common enemy. So rather than try and kill each...anymore, and give Ventress a chance to succeed, why don't we work together to find and capture her?" she offered, though she would rather see this man locked up in the temple till the day he died for what he has done, but even she knew he could kill them in an instant, this entire time he's been toying with them like puppets.
The other room members blinked multiple times in confusion. Christen glared at Luminara through his mask with enough Power to burn holes in her body. She should feel the pressure erupt around her head when he said, "I will not work with those who disprove of love and emotion. I will not have my order lower themselves by working with scum like you?! The Jedi are a joke, simple puppets of the senate, stealing children and suppressing the balance within the force. Your order's connection to the Force will always be laughable, just like the sith, simply the other extreme of oppression within the force."
Barriss, still in shock over her wounds on her chest, which somehow didn't even kill her, let alone not needing medical attention, heard Christen's remark toppled and stumbled closer to the huge armored Individual who just cut an x into her body.
"I dare you to call us part of that Jedi Order 'scum' again. Please, do it. I'm salivating at the idea of slicing you into tiny pieces," she said, palming her lightsaber weakly, falling over into the wall in pain. Her vision was blurry, and her mind was blacking out every second or so.
Christen growled and took his step forward. Both standing Jedi took a half step back without even realizing it. "I'd be happy to finish you off, little one. And I won't even need to move to kill you twelve different ways, but if I make a move, that opens up hundreds of ways," he said.
As the little Amber quickly grabbed the young Jedi's throat to the horror of her master and padawan friend, Barriss let out a soft scream as Amber used the Force to throw the Jedi as hard as she could, her already broken body was thrown across the room and falling into a heap of cries and whimpers.
Ahsoka was about to start fighting when she was pulled back by the Master Jedi, who decides it was best not to fight the man who felt like an entire army of Jedi. His aura simply terrified her at this point.
"I have what I came for, I did have a fun time playing with you, Jedi, but I will depart... for now," Christen spoke with confidence as he pressed a couple of buttons in his armor, lights blinked on the computer unit. Amber was confused by this, at which time the atmosphere in the room became tense.
Eventually, however, she nodded as she got all the notices from her fleet the ship has been evacuated of all droids and personnel. "Very well, my Emperor, but if you Jedi show your faces in one of my missions again, my legion and the entire fleet will respond with your death, and it will be swift," She warned.
"The same could be said fo-" Ahsoka added, then paused before being cut off when her vision went black because Christen used the Force to throw her into the wall, knocking her out before she could speak any more nonsense. Luminara gave the unconscious Palawans and over thirty clone corpses a look of worry. Then, she looked back up and discovered with terror in her heart that they were all alone as if the Emperor and his Knight were never there.
