Chapter 22: Mindless Fun
He never could remember his past life when he was alive. It was kind of vague to remember a time he wasn't a walking corpse, but rather a human being. He does remember when he did become the living dead he started living in what he first thought was hell. As it turns out, it was called Depression Land which kind of lived up to it's name.
The underworld itself wasn't alive like it was compared to the human world. Rather, it's just a place that cursed individuals that became monsters usually resides. It's best for the rest of the monsters to not be out for all the world to see. Why do you think people even have theories of supernatural reasoning and unsolved mysteries? Most likely the monsters that lived in Depression Land were involved in those unsolved mysteries.
As of now, he is now in a dark room. He looked around to see he was not back in Depression Land. This was some old run down location he wasn't familiar with. No, this was still the land of the living. He shouldn't be here! He should have returned back to the underworld.
The undead man begins to grunt while shifting around for a way to get out. Unfortunately, he did not notice the chain that was wrapped around a wooden table. He tried to shake his way out of it, yet he was restrained.
"I won't do that if I was you."
He searches around, only being blinded by the bright light shining down upon him. He squinted his eyes to get a look of a short figure approaching.
"It seems you still have your eyesight, despite being the living dead."
Beside him was a girl. A girl with short brown hair and glasses. But she looks terrible only in clothing. A gray dirty hoodie and dirty pants. But what she had on her hands was black gloves. Not only that, but she was holding a small knife.
"The living dead would be fictional in my eyes a few weeks ago. Heck, I thought it was impossible, but I have witnessed the undead. That turns out to be my brother. The same brother I cared for. Yet, when I saw him he was not my brother. He was a monster!"
Lisa stabbed the knife on the table beside the zombie's head. The zombie groaned loudly, not wanting to get killed by a girl.
"But at last, such circumstances would lead me to believe that he's a threat to my family, and mankind as I know it. But they think Lincoln's such a weak little specimen. They think after what he's been through, they can just explain away that he's traumatized. I don't know how that man did it, but I will find a way to end whatever hell's spawn. Starting with you!"
Lisa brought the knife close to the undead man's forehead. The zombie could only grunt and groan, seeing the sharp object so close, with no way of defending himself.
"Unless you can tell me where you came from?" she questioned the creature, yet the zombie only stared at her with his dead eyes.
The little mad genius then slowly penetrated the skin. The zombie began to moan in pain with every inch the knife was digging in. Blood leaks from the wound, and the knife moves across the undead man's forehead.
"I see you can somewhat feel what I am doing to you. Yet all you can let out is a moan. Any regular living being let out a blood curdling scream. But not you."
Lisa cut the zombie's forehead across before she put the knife down. She examined the long cut, with the undead looking back at her with fear. Then, her gloved hands grabbed the top of the head, with her fingers digging into the cut. The zombie groans loudly as the genius slowly peels the skin back to the top of the head. It shook around the table, unable to find a way to get out.
The exposed temple of the skull was shown, colored bronze and dyed in slight red blood. Lisa chuckled, witnessing a skull that was going in the first decayed stage.
"Your skull shows me that you are beyond dead. It looks like you've been dead for a few months. Still, I must cut in deeper."
Lisa then walks away, making the zombie believe she is leaving. Instead, the second youngest of the Loud family made her return with a hammer and grab the knife once more.
"It would have been easier to do with a buzz saw. For troubling criminal behavior, I can't get my hands on one. This is the best tool I got."
She then swung the hammer down to the bottom of the knife, which penetrated the skull by an inch. The penetration also creates a small crack. The zombie growled at this little manic, yet the girl didn't fear this monster. Instead, it was the other way around. The mad genius continues to hammer the knife deep into the skull.
Slowly, but surely, the zombies growled lower and lower. After ten taps from the hammer to the knife, the undead being was silent. Lisa looked at the creature to see it's lifeless eyes completely void of hunger, or fear it was experiencing from her.
"After all that, you simply cannot withstand my blade. So the fictional films were correct about the brain. But I must know how your brain looks."
Lisa Loud continues to dig the knife in different spots of the zombie's skull. It was a long procedure, but with time she managed to get the opening she needed to see as she seeks. She opened the fractured top of the skull, to see the brain gray with dark veins. Little to no blood was oozing from the stab wound the little girl made. She sighed while dropping her weapons.
"Just as I expected. The brain was dead," Lisa concluded. "Yet, it's fascinating that a corpse can be living. Even after death, it's not natural. And if there's more like you and my once dear brother, then I must put a stop to this. Even if it affects my life and reputation, as it already has taken a nosedive."
Oh hi... It's been awhile since I wrote for this fanfic. And it's been awhile since I wrote at all. I appreciate you guys for reading my works. I know I haven't been constantly updating my stories and it seems like I'm going in hiatus. But I want to continue to work on fanfics. I want to continue making this great stories. It's just a different time. Back then I had all the time in the world to write, but now adulthood has fully been keeping me occupied. Hopefully I can get by and continue doing my work here!
