"Well... how do you feel?"
Galaxy slowly sat up, her servo feeling the plate of armor used to cover the gash. It still stinged, but she could manage it.
She turned her head to Knockout and smiled. "T-thank... you..." She croaked, her voicebox still damaged, but not as bad as before.
The medic smiled back, with a hint of pride. "Of course, darling. I am the best medic around here."
"That I highly doubt." Ratchet replied, carrying an Energon cube and handing it to the Predacon femme.
The ex-con huffed and crossed his arms, the black femme giggling quietly before taking a sip.
Meanwhile, Arcee woke up from her "nap." Jack and Smokescreen left, since Jack needed to get home. A part of her still felt numb, seeing Galaxy after so long. It didn't feel real at all.
How did she survive this long...? I mean, I know she's a Predacon, but still.
She took a deep sigh, trying hard to shake the nervous feeling in her spark. The femme wanted to take things slow, rather than rush into things. Even if deep inside she wanted to cry and squeeze the femme that helped her long ago.
Alright. Let's do this.
Arcee walked out of her room and into the massive hall that led to the main area. She could feel her spark racing with every step she took. However, as she neared the corner, she could hear the chatter of the two medics and the femme Predacon, and that somehow made her feel more calm. At least she's on good terms with the others.
Arcee peeked around the corner, and saw Galaxy taking a Energon break with Ratchet and Knock Out. She was honestly happy to see her smile so brightly, but she was nervous about coming up to her.
Come on, Arcee. You have the chance to make things right, so you can't back down now.
Taking a slow breath, the Autobot femme hesitantly walked out from the corner and emerged in the opening of the hallway that connected to the main area.
Knock Out was the first one who noticed her appearance. With a subtle smirk, he replied, "Looks like Sleeping Beauty finally woke up."
By reflex, Galaxy turned her head to see who he was talking about. Instantly, she froze at the sight of the two-wheeler femme.
Arcee's spark skipped a beat as they locked eyes. Her mouth opened to say something, but her voicebox only gave out a soft static-like scream. Walking slowly, she came to the Predacon femme's side and looked down at the floor, still unable to bear seeing her "sister's" face after so long.
Ratchet took it as the femme's need for alone time. Patting the ex-Con's shoulder, they both left the two to themselves.
Galaxy was the first to speak, or beep, a soft and nervous hello to Arcee, who didnt budge. Galaxy frowned, then took Arcee's servo in her own clawed servo, and that made the two-wheeler gasp softly.
"Arcee... Please look at me." Galaxy chirped, worried that something else was bothering her.
Slowly, Arcee lifted her head, hot tears of Energon streaming down her faceplates, her eyes begging for comfort and... forgiveness.
"G-Galaxy... I-I'm so s-so sorry... Y-you probably hate m-me for l-leaving y-you alone t-this whole t-time... P-please forgive m-me...!" She sobbed as she brought her free servo to her mouth to muffle her crying.
The Predacon femme felt so hurt seeing her sister like this; she held her pain in for so long, it was honestly admirable that she didn't break down at any point since they lost contact.
Yes, it hurt that Arcee left without her, but it wasn't her fault. The war caused them to lose touch with each other, so there was no way of letting the other know what they were doing.
Ratchet told Galaxy about Arcee losing Cliffjumper, and that made her question: how long did she fight this battle by herself?
She then brought Arcee into a hug, the Autobot freezing from the sudden action. "G... Galaxy...?"
"I don't hate you for leaving me. I understand that war complicates things. I would never hate you for anything that you would've done. I'm just grateful you're okay, and I don't want you to fight your internal battle alone. We're all here for you, and I want you to know that I will always be here for you, no matter what. So please... smile for me."
That was the breaking point. Arcee immediately broke down crying, clinging onto Galaxy and never wanting to let go. She deserved to be hated for leaving Galaxy on Cybertron, and yet... She still forgave her?!
Her Spark hurt with pain and sung with thankfulness as she howled in sadness. She wasn't going to take this second chance for granted. She was going to make things right.
In the Nemesis' lab, Shockwave was staring at a screen with readings about a specific Cybertronian that was in the escape pod.
Galaxy Blast.
"So you're alive. It's been some time since I've seen you. I hope your systems are functioning enough for me to continue my experiments on you."
In the back, Soundwave felt a twinge of fear for the femme. Was she the one the Predacons were talking about? If she were to be captured...
I have to make sure she stays out of Starscream's grasps.
AAAAANNNNDDDD Welcome back to another chapter! This was a bit much huh? Well, I hope you all enjoy!
