"You get Serenity's things, and take them to her room, please." Mamoru told Haku and Reina.

"Now we're home?" Serenity questioned, looking around.

"Yes. Now, we're home." Mamoru answered with a sad smile.

It was bittersweet because he was happy Serenity was considering their home as her home now. However, he could tell she was still upset.

"I can get out now?" Serenity softly asked, rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah, go ahead." Mamoru replied.

"Whoa! Are you ok?" Kenichi questioned, concerned, catching Serenity. She collapsed as soon as she stepped out of the car.

"Is she ok?" Reina questioned, concerned.

"I'm ok." Serenity answered, trying to stand up.

"Don't move. Just hold still; I've got you." Kenichi instructed, insisting as he lifted her into his arms.

"I'm sorry." Serenity guiltily apologized as Kenichi got her situated.

"Don't be sorry; it's not on you." Kenichi replied with a smile.

Not long after Kenichi started walking, Serenity fell asleep in his arms.

"It seems we've had an interesting day." The man with sandy brown hair calmly spoke, watching Haku, Reina, Mamoru, Kenichi, and Serenity.

"Kurogane, what brings you by?" Mamoru politely questioned, greeting the man.

"Kotaro and Tomoe sent me. Kotaro would like a picture of the family's Zodiac Psychic. However, it seems I've come at a bad time." Kurogane calmly replied.

"No shit." Haku mumbled, walking inside.

"Behave. You know as well as I—as we all do—that just like the rest of us; Kurogane has to listen to Kotaro. When he says, "jump," we ask, "how high?" You know all this." Reina firmly told Haku, heading upstairs.

"Yeah, yeah." Haku grumbled.

"They seem to be getting along as well as ever." Kurogane noted, following Mamoru and Kenichi inside.

"Oh, yes. Since Serenity's been here, they have done their best to not fight all the time. And since she's been in the hospital, Haku and Reina have been working together a lot. You can place her on the couch; I would like to be able to keep an eye on her for the next few days. It seems that our sweet Serenity has a nice calming effect on people." Mamoru responded to Kurogane. While speaking with him, Mamoru also told Kenichi where to place Serenity.

"She's a cute little thing; I can certainly see her turning some heads." Kurogane noted as Kenichi covered Serenity with a blanket.

"There's no denying that. Aside from knowing she's the psychic of the Zodiac, what do you know about Serenity? Have you heard about her past history with her brother and parents?" Mamoru agreed before sternly questioning.

"I heard that her parents were abusive and made her sleep in a cupboard. And I also heard that her oldest brother tricked her into having sex with him—and that he wanted and got her pregnant. Not necessarily being pregnant, but that's why she was in the hospital; she miscarried. I've heard she's very shy and suffers with depression." Kurogane replied, watching Mamoru.

"Actually, I think her parents had her sleeping in a closet. But oh, well. It's just semantics. But everything is unfortunately correct as well. Now, you said Tomoe sent you as well as Kotaro. What does Tomoe want?" Mamoru replied with a frustrated sigh before questioning.

"Oh, yes. Could you please get Haku and Reina; Tomoe wants them to know this as well." Kurogane spoke, walking to the kitchen.

"What do you need Haku and me for?" Reina inquired, walking into the kitchen.

"Where is Haku?" Kurogane questioned.

"What do you want?" Haku questioned, annoyed, walking over.

"Where did you come from?" Kurogane questioned, stunned.

"I can hear you all the way upstairs, so I came down. What do you want? And why are we in the damn kitchen?" Haku once again questioned, trying not to snap.

"I do not want Serenity to hear what I'm telling you. I don't think anyone wants her feeling worse than she already does." Kurogane started to answer.

"What did Tomoe find out? I know he was looking into something, but I didn't ask what." Kenichi inquired.

"He asked me to look into Serenity's school background. She doesn't have one." Kurogane answered.

"What? How can that be? She was transferred from Ito Hirashita Junior High." Reina argued, becoming defensive.

"Yes, that's what the transcripts stated. But looking into it, I found that there is no such place as Ito Hirashita Junior High—and there never has been. Ito Hirashita doesn't exist. And neither do Serenity's transcripts. I was able to trace the transcripts that were given to your headmaster to an IP address three hours away. I took Mariko with; she was able to find four hidden laptops and a printer."

"One laptop was used for gaming. One was used for scientific and other research. One was used for looking up known, released prison inmates and illegal downloads. The final one, I think was Serenity's—and that was one seemed very restricted. She couldn't access the internet or any type of typing. The only things that could be done on that laptop were Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, painting, Pinball, and Minesweeper. The webcam was disabled, and there was a different camera that monitored whatever she did. You'll never guess which laptop had the Serenity's "transcripts" saved in it." Kurogane calmly spoke, watching everyone.

"The gaming laptop?" Mamoru questioned, watching Kurogane.

"Nope. It was all stored on her laptop under an encrypted folder. However, there was a backup on the home computer that was in an evidence locker." Kurogane answered.

"How did you get into a police evidence locker?" Haku questioned, shocked and annoyed.

"Who created the "transcripts" and the encrypted folder?" Mamoru and Kenichi questioned.

"Getting the computer took help from Satoshi's ex-wife—using threats and blackmail. As for who created the "transcripts" and encrypted folder... Those were created on the laptop used for science and other research. They were then stored on Serenity's laptop and the main computer. Eiden is working on getting everything off all the laptops and computer; he's putting everything onto memory chips for me. That includes trying to figure out who created everything. We have not gotten that far yet. All we know is that her transcripts were faked. But once everything is retrieved and everything, Eiden will restore all computers to factory settings except for Serenity's; hers will be made so she can use every feature. However, the encrypted files will be removed. Then, because they belonged to her family, Serenity will get all of them; she will also get to decide what happens to them if she doesn't want them." Kurogane answered Haku, Mamoru, and Kenichi.

"Rooster?" Serenity softly questioned, walking into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes.

"Hmm?" Kurogane hummed, only slightly confused.

"She's saying you're the rooster." Haku grumbled.

"Oh. Why, yes; I am the rooster. My name is Kurogane Sohma. It's nice to meet you, Serenity." Kurogane politely greeted Serenity.

"Is everything ok?" Mamoru calmly inquired, watching Serenity.

"Oh, yes. Everything is ok." Serenity replied in a zombie-like state before returning to the living room. The guys and Reina watched her go back to the couch and curl up on it before listening to her cry herself to sleep.

"Yep. We're definitely going to need to alter her memories." Kenichi sighed.

"Yep." Everyone agreed.

"He's not going to be happy, is he?" Reina questioned after a few minutes of silence.

"No; no, he's not. So, who's going to call him?" Mamoru replied before questioning, backing away.

"Satoshi is your best friend, isn't he? You have to be the one to call and ask him!" Haku snapped.

"Maybe he shouldn't have snapped like that, but he does have a point; Satoshi is your best friend. Logically, it makes sense for you to talk to him." Kurogane calmly spoke.

"Fine. Fine. I'll call him. But you all owe me. You're all so mean to me." Mamoru playfully pouted.

"I can't believe you're an adult." Haku mumbled, watching Mamoru.

"I will give him credit where credit is due: he's been remarkably well-behaved in front of Serenity." Reina spoke, shrugging a little.

"I can speak with Satoshi, if you'd like." Kenichi told Mamoru.

"Really?" Mamoru asked with hope in his eyes.

"Yes. But it will cost you." Kenichi replied with a smile.

"Umm… No, thanks. I think I'll talk to Satoshi myself. In fact, I'll go call him right now." Mamoru quickly changed his tune before hurrying to his room to make the call.

"I don't want to know." Reina and Haku insisted before darting out of the kitchen and upstairs.

With Mamoru:

"Sohma Estate. How may I help you?" A soft female spoke.

"Yes. Uhh… This is Mamoru Sohma; I'm cursed with the dog of the Zodiac. I'm calling, looking for Satoshi. Is he available?" Mamoru nervously spoke to this female.

"Satoshi Sohma? Just one moment please; I'll see if he's available." The female calmly spoke, putting Mamoru on hold.

'Please don't be available. Please be busy. Please. I'd rather talk with Kotaro than Satoshi.' Mamoru begged and prayed to whoever would grant him his wish.

"Mr. Mamoru Sohma: are you still there?" The woman inquired.

"Yes, I'm here. Satoshi's not available? That's a shame. Please just let him know I've called." Mamoru hastily replied.

"Oh, no; Mr. Satoshi is available. He is just finishing up with Mr. Kotaro and will be over to speak to you in a minute or two. Just hold tight. He insists he'll call back if he misses you." The woman calmly spoke.

"Thanks, Gene." Mamoru mumbled.

"So, you do know who I am." The woman replied, somewhat astonished.

"Of course, I remember you. You're one of the few women I know who cackle and snort like a witch or a hog. You also have a few warts to boot." Mamoru replied with a smile.

Meanwhile, the woman, Gene, was too stunned to reply.

"Thank you, Gene; I'll take over from here." A man calmly spoke.

"Y-yes, of course." Gene replied at a loss for words.

"I don't know what he said to you this time, but you just need to remember that he's an idiot. And that no matter what he says: his parents never took him to see any doctors." The man calmly spoke to Gene.

"Thank you, Mr. Satoshi." Gene replied in that fangirl way before Mamoru could no longer hear her.

"Why do you always have to torment her and the other workers—especially the females?" The man, Satoshi, questioned, annoyed.

"Why do you always have to ruin my fun, Satoshi?" Mamoru complained.

"And you're an adult? What do you want, Mamoru?" Satoshi demanded, rubbing his brow.

"Well, you see… Here's the thing: we need a favor over here." Mamoru slowly started replying.

"Well, I figured that much out. Now, is it "we" need a favor? Or do you need a favor?" Satoshi stopped Mamoru before he could continue.

"We need help. We, actually, it's Serenity, who needs your help. Well, actually, she needs Suichi." Mamoru innocently answered.

"Serenity? She's the family's physic, right? What's wrong with her?" Satoshi questioned.

"Yes. Have you heard anything about her recently?" Mamoru questioned.

"Vaguely. I know her parents and oldest brother were abusive and that she was pregnant with his child—and she miscarried the child. Is there more?" Satoshi replied before inquiring.

"Yes. And because of that miscarriage, Serenity is struggling with severe depression. We believe she believes it's her fault she lost her baby. Tomoe has stated that her depression also led to the loss of the fetus itself. She's not well. And Kurogane is here now: Tomoe and Kotaro sent him. We all believe that if her memories of at least her parents and brother aren't erased, Serenity will never get better. If she doesn't get any better; she'll just get severely sick and end up in the hospital again. So, could you please get a hold of Suichi?" Mamoru explained, pleading with Satoshi.

"Fine. I'll convince Suichi to help. I don't know how, but I will. But this isn't going to be cheap; this is going to cost you—for him and me." Satoshi warned Mamoru.

"Yes, of course." Mamoru replied, mumbling.

"Well, if that's all; I'll contact you later. Goodbye, Mamoru." Satoshi hung up after bidding farewell.

"How did that go?" Kenichi questioned when Mamoru walked back to the kitchen.

"As well as you could have expected. He's going to talk to Suichi and then call contact me later." Mamoru answered.

"Mamoru?" Serenity's soft voice spoke up from the kitchen door.

"What is it, Sweetheart?" Mamoru responded, watching Serenity.

"Is there anything I can eat?" Serenity softly asked.

"Of course. What would you like?" Mamoru enthusiastically questioned.

"Do we have dumplings?" Serenity softly requested.

"Uhh…" "Give me half an hour or so. I'll make some chicken dumplings. Go sit. As for the rest of you. I don't care where you go: just get out." Haku instructed, kicking everyone out of the kitchen.

"I should be headed back to the estate before Kotaro sends out the search parties. Please feel better, Serenity." Kurogane insisted before heading out.

"See you later. Stay away from the hot water and don't become soup." Serenity replied, hearing something in Kurogane's mind.

"Thank you." Kurogane replied with a kind smile before leaving…
