Simba had all of his family including those Kion brought with him. He told them the hard wisdom he had earned throughout his life.

"Today is my last, but don't waste too much time on tears for me. I know you'll miss me, and it will be hard, especially for your mother. But look to your left and to your right. This family is stronger than any family that this world has ever known. Kitu you are going to be among the great kings one day, and I know you will rule with honor, respect, and love. Njia will be right by your side either as the leader of the lion guard or just as your sister. Kion's cubs you four are stronger than any unit the world has ever known. A triple-braided cord isn't broken easily, but you are four siblings by chance, and friends by choice. You have met new friends along the way, like Haraka, Doa, Binga, Zara, and Kaela. I know you will carry on what your father and mother have instilled in you," Simba said.

"But grandpa what about me being king?" Muhasi asked.

"Somethings are loosely planned, and others are carved into stone," Simba riddled which confused all of them, but Kishindo perked up at the notion that maybe Muhasi might not be king.

"Kishindo, be careful with your motives. Each lion has a thirst for power, but the one who learns to control it, can control everything and anything around him," Simba said.

"Dad, I'm sorry for not coming around. And now sitting here knowing I'm going to have to say goodbye. How do I say goodbye to someone who taught me everything I know?" Kion blurted out through tears and through his anger at himself.

"Shh. Kion. You are my son, just as Kopa is. And Kovu is to a degree," Simba said.

"That would be awkward," Kiara joked which made the group laugh.

"But Kion. I'm sorry for breaking my promise to you. I was too lazy and stubborn to come to you, be with your kids, and to help you in any way I could. That isn't just on you Kion, don't blame yourself," Simba said.

"Dad, thank you for giving me a dad again. It sucks that this is it though," Rani said.

"Rani, It's been an honor getting to know you. Kion, Muhasi, Jala, Kishindo, and Maisha. You have one of the greatest lionesses I've ever met. And I take comfort in knowing that you married my son," Simba said.

"Thank you Simba," Rani said.

"So your mother was Sarabi?" Kaela asked.

"Why yes, and yes she was a part of the water pride for a short time. She was practically adopted by the Water Pride before my Father met her at least," Simba said.

"Wait adopted?" Zara asked.

"You two. The Water Pride is notorious for bringing in lions and lionesses who were orphans or just were alone. My mother was one of those," Simba said.

"Just like my mother," Kaela said.

"That's right. Sarabi spoke highly of King Tonga and he was a very good friend of ours," Nala said.

"And now his son will be the leader of the pride one day," Zara said.

"You know I never really thanked someone properly. Anga, you saved my life one time, when the Vultures set fire to pride rock," Simba said.

"Oh it's no big deal," Anga said blushing.

"You picked up a full-grown lion," Soren asked shocked.

"Yeah I told you I could whip you if I wanted to," Anga said.

"Well if you insist," Soren said.

"And I'm glad you have someone to sleep next to," Simba said.

"We had a lot of fun as the Lion Guard didn't we," Beshte said coming up behind them.

"Big B," Fuli said getting up to hug him.

"Hey, Fuli. My God Haraka, Doa, you both are almost all grown up," Beshte said.

"Beshte, thank you for your friendship with me, and my son. Basi was and still is very proud of you," Simba said.

"Thank you, king Simba. Guys I can't stay, I promised Esther I'd be back shortly, and Makayla is also her big hippo friend too," Beshte joked.

"Sweet Jesus, everyone gets laid around here," Bunga joked.

Simba looked at Bunga with a smile.

"You know little bro it's okay to find love again," Simba said.

"I know. And I wasn't meaning that to mean Big B. I'm happy for all my friends and their mates. I just wish Binga was here to enjoy life with me," Bunga said with a small tear falling from his eye.

Simba got up and came over to hug Bunga.

"Hakuna Matata Bunga," Simba whispered in his ear.

"Hakuna Matata Simba," Bunga said knowing that was Simba's way of saying goodbye.

"Kopa, you're going to be an amazing father, and Vitani you will be an amazing mother. You two both have a place on this path of life. And it is more than the cub you will have," Simba said.

Kopa and Vitani were uncertain of what it meant. But both nodded.

Suddenly the thunder rolled. As Simba heard a voice saying "It is time my son. Time to come home," Mufasa's voice said.

"Nala can you walk me home?" Simba asked.

Nala was reluctant to know what it meant. Nala always asked him to walk her home when they were younger. Nala knew this was the last time she would be with him.

"Goodbye, all of you! And remember you have each other, and no enemy can stand against the family you have," Simba said.

Simba and Nala walked away from Pride Rock. As Simba stopped to look back at the group of animals watching them. And he waved to them. As Malkia ran up to him to hug him one last time.

"I love you, daddy!" Malkia cried. Which broke everyone's heart.

"I love you too Malkia! Be brave, and walk the path your heart tells you to walk," Simba said.

"I will," Malkia said watching Simba and Nala both walk side by side.

"Simba why are we walking away from Pride Rock?" Nala asked.

"I can't tell you why 'cause I don't know. But I know Mohatu insisted I be buried on the border," Simba said.

"I love you Simba!" Nala said licking his cheek.

"I love you Nala." Simba said.

As they walked Simba hummed the tune of Can you feel the love tonight? And then he began to sing.

"So many things to tell her. To thank her for their life. That she has blessed me with, by being by my side." Simba sang.

"But right here in this moment. I look back and find, that you are my true Upendi, the love of my life." Nala sang.

"So we felt the love tonight, throughout our lives! It's enough for these white-eyed wanderers that we've come this far." They both sang together.

"Thank you for the adventure Nala!" Simba said laying down right where Mohatu had instructed.

"Your welcome Simba. Thank you for being the King I know you are!" Nala said hugging him for the last time.

Simba took a deep breath and shed a tear to see Nala one last time. As he breathed his last and closed his eyes completing his journey in the Circle of Life.

Nala watched as the ground immediately covered Simba's body to her amazement. As she heard a voice.

"The chosen one has completed all that he was asked to do!" Mohatu's voice echoed.

Nala looked in wonder, but also started to cry seeing that Simba was now really gone.

She went slowly to Pride Rock, as the group hadn't moved. But when they saw Nala without Simba the reality sunk in, that Simba had now completed his journey in the Circle of Life.

"Hakuna Matata Simba! The trio is back together big bro!" Bunga said.

Meanwhile at the tree of life.

Olo was sitting on a tree branch next to the mountain pass when she heard someone coming.

"Who, who are you?" Olo asked.

"My name is Sana. Wait your Olo the owl right?" Sana asked.

"Yes, yes. Wait you the lioness Kion and Rani talked about, oh please come in. Um, they aren't home, most of the night pride left for the Pride Lands," Olo said.

"Wait what? So Kion and Rani aren't even here? And why are they there?" Sana asked.

"Because Kion's father, is dying," Olo said.

"Well I have to get there then, I got to go where my home is," Sana said frantically. Which was heard by Baliyo who was walking to see what the commotion was.

"Sana?" Baliyo asked.

"Yes, oh your Rani's brother Baliyo?" Sana asked.

"Yes, I am. And how did you find the Tree of Life?" Baliyo asked.

"Well these stones with paintings on them kept glowing and leading me to here," Sana said.

"Oh, you went the long way around," Baliyo laughed.

"There's a shorter way?" Sana asked.

"Yes, I'll put you on the path unless you want to stop for the evening?" Baliyo said.

"No, if Kitu's grandfather is dying I've got to be there for him, and I have to tell him how I feel," Sana said.

Baliyo smiled knowing what Sana meant.

"Alright then, come on, let me show you the path," Baliyo said stopping dead in his tracks as a tiger stood at the entrance to the mountain pass.

"Who are you?" Baliyo asked.

"Just a passing traveler, such as this young lioness," The tiger said.

"So you are the tiger everyone is afraid of," Baliyo said seeing through his lie.

"And your the brother of Queen Rani. And if you are addressing me, that means that King Kion isn't home, which means there is no real threat to me," The tiger said.

Out of nowhere, his two sisters joined him.

"Look, whatever your problem with King Kion is, you can talk to him about that. He's reasonable. But please let me through," Sana yelled.

"Ha, ha, ha. Do you think I will let you pass my dear? Why so you can run off and be with your boyfriend?" The tiger replied softly licking his lips.

Baylio looked up and saw the bee hive, and remembered how the rock slide blocked the entrance. But he was scared to create a rockslide remembering his parents. But he was not going to make an orphan of his daughter due to these tigers.

"Olo, the bee hive," Baylio shouted.

Olo knew what that meant. And she knocked a rock away which created a rock slide, Baylio and Sana moved out of the way, as the tiger watched the rocks fall.

The dust settled, and the tigers looked at each other and laughed loudly.

"Really, you fool. So you'd rather prolong this and trap yourself than fight me. Oh that's right you Night Pride lions don't like fighting, you'd rather let animals die. But thank you for allowing us an endless supply of animals who will seek shelter here," The tiger yelled.

"Baylio, what are we going to do?" Sana whispered.

"There's another way out that I can send you. It's longer, but you can get to the pride lands to warn Kion and Rani," Baliyo whispered.

"Baliyo, what's happened? Are you okay?" Surak raced to where he was.

"Surak the tigers are here," Baliyo said.

"I'm Sana, the lioness Kion and Rani told you about," Sana said.

"Oh yeah. And oh no. They can move those rocks," Surak said.

"You know, if you let us in, it will all be over quickly. As our stay was the first time," The blue-eyed tigress said.

Baylio went closer to the rock wall.

"Wait a minute, three tigers!" Baliyo said.

"You figure it out yet?" The blue-eyed tigress hissed.

"Your Varia's cubs!" Baliyo said as his eyes got real big.

"That's right. While you and the Night Pride had the night off after Queen Rani's coronation. Makucha and his thugs, came and attacked my mother, and killed her in cold blood. And what did your precious roaring king do?" The blue-eyed tigress softly said.

"He wasn't king yet," Baliyo said.

"NOTHING! You and no one else did a damn thing. You just assumed my mother and us were killed and moved on with your life. This is supposed to be a safe place, and yet no one is truly safe here, unless you are apart of the Night Pride. That's why Feliks, Polina, and me Pasha. Have come to get rid of the Night Pride, and all who try to seek shelter here," Pasha said.

"Your not hunting animals here?" Baliyo said.

"Were hunting Lions!" Pasha said.

"Surak get her to the exit," Baliyo whispered.

"Understood," Surak said.

"Tell Kion and Rani to come home immediately," Baliyo said.

"Of course," Sana said.
