Eternally Yours

Chapter Twenty Three

"Gotta get it out of my system,
Gotta get it off of my chest
I've lived a lot of my life already
But I gotta get through the rest" – Out Of My System – Louis Tomlinson

Did they eventually get back to the wedding planning thing? Sure, a few times. Claire always hushed her lover, who never spoke up about what he really knew about it. Because yeah, Claire wanted a moment of peace, so she never touched anything about the wedding. But she felt, that if she didn't do anything, they will hit another moment of arguments, and fights. And she really wanted to cross that out of her life.

Since Wesker wasn't a villain anymore in their story, neither Ada was, or Jill, they collected all the air they could breathe. It was really giving them more of a freedom. Claire loved this. She was finally her free self as she always were. Doing everything she wanted to. Laying in lazy clothes, unbrushed hair, or anything other, what a pregnant teen would do in their free time. Relax. And after all those days and weeks she was a prisoner in her own house, it felt nice to her. To be finally alone.

Days passed again, even two weeks. Claire finally had enough of being lazy. Since the new month is coming up around the corner. It was almost April. Two months since she got her question. She had to be happy about it. On the inside she was but didn't want to plan that wedding. But it felt nice to look through a magazine, what had wedding dresses in it. This was the first time, she found enjoyment in that. About seeing white dresses on different model woman. Like she wanted one for herself.

"What are you up to?" Chris asked her.

He lied. Because he surely saw what type of a magazine Claire was slipping her fingers trough. He was happy. That finally the steps are coming onto an action. No more lies or anything like that before.

"Just looking." Claire answered, then she let out a sigh. "Look, I'm sorry about lying to you…"

"Claire, no need to apologize. I know everything. I know what you feel, but you should've told me first, not everyone around me." Chris said to her.

Claire was sad. It would eventually be true, that he would figure it out. After all, he's a smart man, not a stupid one. And he was her lover. She knew it wasn't the best idea to involve anyone, but her lover. The one she will marry to, and will wear the Redfield name again, but by law. Because of the said so marriage.

"We're going to have a child in five months… I need to prepare for that too. Planning a wedding too, is hard. I found enjoyment today by looking at these dresses." Claire explained to him. For a better understanding of course.

Chris, on the inside, didn't really know how to understand her. He just said, to make sure that Claire and him won't end up in a real terrible fight, because of it. The stress they were under, almost made them lose that baby, that they're waiting for.

"You know what, darling?" Chris asked, then he continued. "Let's put that project aside. We will have plenty of time doing that, after our child will arrive."

"Are you willing to take that break for me?" Claire asked back. She almost gasped. She felt a huge rock sliding off her chest.

"Let's focus on that, because they will arrive soon." Chris answered, then he let out a little laugh.

He walked over to her, and pulled her into a hug. Placed a small kiss on her forehead. Making sure that she feels happy. And indeed, Claire was happy. And more relaxed. Now that she doesn't need to think about this for a while.

Days went busy. The Redfield house was an open door to their friends again. Just like in the old times. As they thought. But it was about more. The time felt like enough to start working on the nursery. Because they don't get that much of a free day. So, everyone came, and helped. Since Claire didn't want her room to be the one to be rebuilt, it was Chris's old room to get changed. Even thought, they had a lot more time until September, they found it the best time to do this.

So much laugh, and friendship in the area. And how proud they were with the result. Now the only thing what left from there, was the kid. Who was on their way to this world. Guess that's what they call happiness. When everything is finally right. And no one could say any bad thing about it. Now time… was only theirs. And the eternity, they had together. Because Claire knew, she was eternally his. And Chris, was eternally hers. No matter what happened, how many lies, and cries happened between them, what matter to them was that they finally got together again. And never letting go of each other.

Fast forwarding the time, eventually they attended to Jill's wedding. They never ever thought that this will be true. That they will see this with their own eyes. And even after that wedding, they kind of wanted theirs too. But they had an agreement about doing that, after their kid. It was beautiful to say. Even thought, Chris had a lot of emotions to fight at that they. Because, as they say, you never truly fall out of love with your first love. And it was hard for Chris to see, that Wesker is actually getting married to someone. But after a few days, everything was normal again. Chris never had those returning emotions, or anything. He only focused on his love. His only light. Like he should!

Seasons may change, the fall came. The clock was ticking so fast. Everyday felt like a bomb. Claire was having more pain now, in her last days. And the Redfield house, was again, crowded, after the little on was in the world again. They surely could use those hands to help on. Claire was back to her tired self again. Being twenty and a mother is surely hard enough. The baby was born so healthy, everyone gasped. Not even a single health problem, or anything. Not even at the birth. It was a natural birth, they didn't have to make Claire into a coma, to get that baby out of there. So, everything was finally in place. They had their first baby. The rainy days went away, and the sun was shining down on them. Friends became family. Even Claire made a higher relationship with Wesker, between the lines of friendship. Only that. Everything seemed so perfect, and this time… It stayed like that. Nothing bad happened to the Redfields. Ever again.

THE END!

A/N: I know. I could again use all of the apologies why it took so hard to update, but LIFE is the reason. I'm officially closing my third semester in the uni. I only updated this because I'm talking again with my ex-fiancé, and I got motivated to finally write a closing. At least, I'm done with one of my old fanfics. I can't believe I didn't even celebrate it's anniversary. I'm sorry my dear fanfiction. But I made an ending to this. I hope you can find some happiness in this chapter because I enjoyed writing it. Time to say goodbye to Eternally Yours…
