Yes, I am back... Sorta lol. Again, I am using google translate, so if anything is wrong I apologize. Also apparently it is either just called 'Irish' in translate or I am just blind, my glasses included. I'm calling in Gaelic, but if you happen to speak Gaelic and it is wrong I am so sorry, please let me know and I will fix it! THIS GOES FOR ANY OF THE LANGUAGES I USE! IF SOMETHING IS WRONG PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN CORRECT IT! Anyway, here is what I have for the official chapter 5. From now on if they are speaking I am going to put in () the initial of the one speaking. ie. (M)=Murphy, (K)=Keira, (C)=Connor, and so on.
In less than ten minutes, the boys and I are in an interrogation room holding cups of coffee, fresh cigarettes, and not surprisingly glazed donuts. A tape recorder in front of us looks rather intimidating, but so far the officers have been fairly accommodating, though I still feel safer between the boys.
We visit with the twenty or so officers that keep going in and out as they commend us for defending ourselves and each other. Needless to say, it's rather loud when the gentleman in the gray suit walks in with a small scowl.
(AS) "What the fuck is this? This isn't a fuckin tea party! Get out! The only thing I want in here is them!" He shouts with a shake of his head. They all hastily exit the room as the suit introduces himself as Agent Smecker. We all look each other over as he takes a seat across from us. He smiles as he reaches for the recorder.
(AS) "This conversation is going to be recorded, just answer to the best of your abilities!" he says as he goes to switch the small device on, but I stop him before he can hit the button.
(K) "Excuse me, sir!" I say politely as I look between the boys.
1.(K) "Что мы скажем ему об оружии и деньгах?" I ask in Russian
2.(C) "D'éirigh muid díreach agus d'imigh. Rolladh Bum musta 'em sular tháinig na póilíní ann!" Connor responded in Gaelic. I looked kinda skeptically at him as Murphy told the Agent we were ready. Smecker looks intrigued as he hits the record button.
(AS) "You three are not under oath here. I am assuming you knew these three from before, huh?" he asks after a few seconds. Connor speaks first.
(C) "We.. we met them last night." he says scratching the back of his neck. I grab his right hand in my left and squeeze. I get two reassuring squeezes back as Smecker speaks again.
(AS) "They had some pretty interesting bandages. Know anything about that?" We all look at each other looking equal parts smug and guilty as we tell him what had happened at the pub.
-TimeSkip-
Agent Smecker stares astounded at us as we gauge his reaction. Slowly, he chuckles and we join him. He gathers himself and asks us another question, turning the recorder off.
(AS) "How is it you guys are fluent in Russian?" the three of us laugh as I respond.
(K) "We paid attention in school!" we continue to laugh as the next question is resented.
(AS) "Know any other languages?" Murphy smiles as I chuckle quietly, but answers the Agent.
(M) "Aye. Our mothers insisted on it, though Keira knows several more than we do. French!"
3.(M) "Comment pensez-vous qu'il a compris tout ça sans nous en parler?" the question Murphy asks is a valid one, and to try and answer it Connor continues to show off.
(C) "Italian."
4.(C) "Non ne ho idea. Forse qualcuno ha visto e parlato!" by now, my giggles have subsided enough for me to contribute.
(K) "German."
5.(K) "Nicht in unserer Nachbarschaft, Mann. Hundert Prozent irisch. Niemand spricht mit Polizisten. Zeitraum." Connor speaks again as we watch Agent Smecker smile with interest.
(C) "Spanish"
6.(C) "Entonces supongo que es realmente... ¡realmente bueno!" I cut in once more.
(K) "And obviously Gaelic."
7.(K) "Sea, ach tá sé rud beag as-chur. Cuireann sé iontas ort..." the smile on Smeckers face is huge as he asks us another question.
(AS) What are you three doing working at a fucking meat packing plant? And what did you mean by mothers? You guys are related, right?" Murphy answers as Connor and I light new cigarettes. I light two, one for me and one for Murph.
(M) "Connor and I are twins. Keira is not related to us, but she is Ours!" a small smile graces my lips hearing that. Smecker clears his throat just as an officer comes in with news.
(O) "Ah, Agent Smecker, we have a problem.." his smile falls quickly as he snaps at the poor officer.
(AS) "What?" the poor guy wrings his hands as he responds.
(O) "The press is everywhere outside They're going nuts for these guys. What do you want me to do?" Smecker looks at us and shrugs, as he speaks directly to us.
(AS) "You're not being charged. It's up to you. Do you want to talk to them?" immediately Connor speaks up with a negative.
(C) "Absolutely not!" Murphy and I agree.
(M) "No pictures either." Smecker looks at us and shrugs again.
(AS) "Well, we could try the bag over the head thing, walk you out the front." his suggestion makes me flinch slightly and the boys take notice.
(M) "Our Ma can see-through bags." I chuckle lightly as I feel Connor and Murphy shudder. I take Murphy's left hand into my right and grip it tightly as a silent thank you. He responds in kind.
(C) "Aye she can... there any way we can stay here?" Connor asks rubbing the back of my hand with his thumb. I can feel Murphy start to do the same with the other. The officer immediately lights up and says yes.
(O) "Sure, we have an empty holding cell, though it only has two beds...they...they can stay? Right?" the last part is directed at Agent Smecker as the poor officer turns sheepish. Smecker smiles and agrees with a small laugh.
(AS) "Well, we'll have to check with your mother, but it's okay with me if your friend's sleepover." We laugh as the officer gets embarrassed and Agent Smecker leaves with one last quip.
(AS) "Time to feed the dogs!"
After a minute or two Connor speaks up.
(C) "He's a nice guy." I start laughing as Murphy responds and I smack him with our hands at what he says.
(K) "Yes, he is." I say still giggling.
1. What do we tell him about the guns and money?
2. We just got up and left. Bum musta rolled 'em before the police got there.
3. How do you think he figured all this out without talking to us?
4. I have no idea. Maybe someone saw and talked.
5. Not in our neighborhood, man, A hundred percent Irish. Period.
6. Then I guess he's just really... really good.
7. Aye, but it's a little off-putting. Make's you wonder.
