Professor Ozpin was a middle-aged man with tousled silver hair and thin brown eyes. He and every headmaster were currently watching a video the every monster attack that had happened over the weeks that passed by. The video also contains the Power Rangers, as the public had named them. In Ozpin's many lives, he has never seen those types of monsters, and that had him very worried, even if he didn't show it.
"This could be a problem." Ironwood said as the video ended. "They seem to have superhuman strength, agility, speed, flexibility, and reflexes, that surpass that of Huntsmen and Huntresses. Not to mention they can summon robots animals and weapons as well." Everyone in the holographic meeting of greed with him.
The video had shown the so-called heroes fighting the monsters while the Huntsmen and Huntresses only got killed. Qzpin could still remember they a total of eight Huntsman died against one monster. Those new monsters were too strong for a team of two elite Huntsmen and could grow taller than a building. While on the other hand, three teenagers and a robot could win against the monster.
"I agree but we have no idea about the identities of those Power Rangers and we also have no idea how strong they are." The headmaster of shade academy said in his deep voice. Theodore turned his head to Beacon's headmaster. "Is there a way to have them cooperate?"
"The vale council have decided without my input that those heroes are too dangerous to have around and have put in a kill on sight on the Power rangers." Ozpin explained before taking a sip of his coffee. "They say that those heroes could be more trouble to have around. The monsters on the other hand have also a kill on sight, but I don't think that will do much."
"Is this the doing of Salem." Leonardo Lionheart aka headmaster of Haven academy asked. "I mean, she has been known to make different types of Grimm, maybe she made those monsters in her free time." Qzpin started to think it over before he came to an answer.
"No, I have lived many lives, and in everyone, she always us the same types over and over again." The silence was heavy after the admission. Everyone in the meeting knew that if Salem didn't make them, that means that there is a new player on the field. And this new player seemed to have monsters stronger than huntsman.
"So let me get this straight." Theodore started with incredulity in his voice. "We are now facing a new threat. A threat we have never seen before, and the same goes for the semi-immortal in the room." He pointed at Qzpin. "They are very powerful and we have no idea how many there are while the vale council wants to kill the only people that can fight them."
"Yes."
"At least they are not stupid enough to lose the Schnee heiress."
"We didn't lose her." James Ironwood denied hotly, the disappearance of the heiress had spread like wildfire. Many people were pointing at the white fangs, as when they heard the news, had told every news station that they killed her. While they had said that, nobody ever believe that blatant lie. "Besides, specialist Winter has already found her location and is on the route."
"Yeah, whatever robot man."
With that, the meeting continued until midnight.
"What is that." I asked Weiss as she gave me one wristband filled with dust crystals. I could see every type of dust in the wristbands, from fire to gravity dust. It has only been one week since I became the team leader, and I haven't been able to talk to Weiss at all. The only thing she has been doing these few days was glaring at me while I was minding my own business.
Weiss and I, never really got along with each other, we were both too different. She would boss everyone around her, was very strict, and never had time for fun. I was more laid back, an asshole, and very dark in my humor. That made us have a lot of fights over stupid things.
RJ and I still have the same relationship that we always have. Being friendly and respectful to each other. I mean we never really talk to each other but it was still nice to have him around and that he was teaching us to fight was pretty cool.
Jaune on the other hand was a hand full. I have come to learn over time in being in this world, that Jaune is disgustingly optimistic and absurdly naive to the real world. Jaune has been talking about his life with his family, and I came to understand why he was so naive. The bastard was raised in a small village, where everyone knew everyone. That would explain his positive attitude and innocent look upon the world.
I came to find out the different powers, that ice, lightning, light, and gravity dust gave me. I already knew that fire made me stronger and could burn anything in a second. Water makes me a Waterbender like those from Avatar the last Airbender. Wind makes me faster and Earth gives me the ability of seismic sense.
The ice dust gave my scales the color of ice blue. The iron ice scales were so cold that If I was to touch you, it would make hypothermia look like a plaything. If I were to touch anything nonliving while having my ice powers, the thing would turn into ice and shatter. I could even make things out of the ice and it was pretty cool. The only setback was that it didn't work on living things.
The lightning dust gave me yellow scales which I hated because yellow looked so bad on me. The power was I given was electrokinesis, and I could make weapons out of the lightning that was around my body.
The hard light dust gave me scales that were colored white. It gave me the ability to make indestructible shields. The shields could change shape at the moment I wanted, and it was pretty hard to destroy them. This was my least favorite
The gravity dust gave me dark purple-colored scales. The gravity dust gives me denser iron scales that surpass the strongest metal in the world. They are so strong that they can hold the ground against the heaviest of Grimm. This was my favorite.
I'll say one thing, god gave me an op semblance.
"This wristband has every type of dust in them and can discharge the dust out of the wristband and into your right hand." Weiss said as she started to explain the function of the wristbands. "When discharged, one dust crystal will fly out of the wristband and into the air. You will be able to catch them before transforming yourself." I looked at her confused.
"Why are you being nice to me." I asked her and Weiss let out a sigh.
"In a week we are going to Beacon academy." Oh, I totally forgot, that we got the acceptance letters. "I'm still mad that you became the leader of this team but I will not let that hinder us from saving the world." Weiss looked down to the ground. "I also know we do not have the best relationship, but I respect you and how you fight the Rinshi beast warrior to protect the children's happiness." I looked at her before looking at the wristband and I smiled.
"To be honest, I totally didn't like you. I thought you were a bossy little bitch." I said while Weiss frowned. "I also respect the way you put your life on the line to fight for the civilians of this world." I move my hand forward. "I guess that this is a new beginning for us." Weiss took my hand before shaking it.
"I look forward to working with you."
"Same here."
We that, Jaune came barging into the room.
"Weiss, a woman is claiming to be your sister on ground level." Jaune said and for some reason, Weiss's eyes started to shine. Weiss ran down with speed I have never seen her use before as I and Jaune ran after her.
Once we were on the ground level, we saw the woman, and Weiss was even hugging her. The woman, Jaune said was named Winter is a tall and fair-skinned young woman with stale-blur eyes, dark eyebrows, and long white hair.
"Oh my God, Weiss is showing affection, the world is ending." I shouted out as I started to panic before Weiss marched over to me and smacked me in the head. "Fair enough." I said as I rub my head.
"Guys, this is Winter Schnee, my older sister and the youngest specialist to ever live." Weiss introduced the woman to us. The woman named Winter nodded to us while Jaune gave a wave and I just a tiny nod.
"You do realize neither one of us, knows what a specialist is." Jaune said as I was just confused if the word specialist changed in this world.
"Let's just say it's something cool and be done with it." I said before Weiss could open her mouth."I'll buy new sunglasses." I said before walking out of the parlor with Jaune behind me, and I just hope that she understood what I meant. "Have a nice family reunion." I said over my shoulder.
"I can't change them back." I looked at RJ's friend that was named Will. Will was an average joe with nothing else. It took us a few minutes to get to his place and once we made it, I demanded he changes my sunglasses to blue again.
"What do you mean you can't." I shouted at him but Jaune held me back from attacking the nerd. The nerd looked at me with a bored look to him, which just pissed me off even more.
"I was able to find the Morphin grid's physical form and I use it to form the sunglasses that you are holding," Will answered as he pointed to the glasses I was holding. "At first I tried to make the sunglasses in the same color to show team unison, but that didn't work. The Grid can only contain a single bearer of a certain power meaning when two or more of the same color and power type try coexisting one will have to go."
"But what does that have to do with changing mine back to the same color?"
"I was just about to get to that. The Grid's physical form is shown as a boulder with a gem that functions like an absorption device allowing Rangers to add memories to the Grid. Due to a lack of detailed knowledge of the Grid, I can't explain why it changes color but what I can say is that there is a higher power at work."
I understood the implication.
"You are talking about the Morphin masters." I muttered and he nodded while Jaune looked confused. Will saw that looked before he explained.
"The Morphin Masters, also known as The Masters and The First Ones, are an ancient group or civilization that studies the Morphin Grid. Some of them are instrumental in creating the very power sources various Ranger teams use through all of time and space." Jaune seemed to understand. "I have a working theory that has to do with them. With the ability to create power sources for various Ranger teams, it could be said that they can change the color of a ranger to be different from what it was before." I saw Will frown at what he was thinking. "But I have no idea how they could do it, and I have been looking into it."
Will showed us his computers with different files on them and I saw one file with two energy spikes. I looked closer to see that the two looked the same and had the same power to them.
"What I'm showing you two is the energy that it took to make the Morphine sunglasses." Will pointed to the first energy spike. "This first spike was taken that the sunglasses were formed in our world, while the second was formed when you turned Red ranger. They are exactly the same in every aspect except for one detail." Will pointed to a tiny almost invisible to the naked eye, a tiny red-colored spike in power. "Something or someone forces the energy to change that color but I don't understand how. I believe that it was the Red Morphin master because of the color and I was hoping to find a way to talk to them."
"How is that going."
"Bad, but now that you know everything you can leave." With that, I and Jaune were kicked out of his house.
"Asshole." I muttered before I started to walk away from the door, with Jaune just a step behind me. It took us about a minute before we were out of the building and on the street of Vale. As we were walking, I could feel Jaune's eyes on me before I finally snapped at him.
"How do you know all of this." Jaune asked while I looked confused. "I mean, you know about the Morphin master, Power rangers, and how their powers work." I did an oh with my mouth.
"Because in my world, the Power rangers is a tv show." I answered him with ease. "I have watched every single episode of every series of power rangers, but that doesn't make me a pro at knowing everything. I can recall most things about the show but not everything." I frown as I talked. "Because of my knowledge of the show, I know that I'm not a good Red Ranger. The Red Ranger is the leader, and I'm more of a coward."
"You are not a coward." Jaune exclaimed, and I just gave him a sad smile.
"You may think that but is true that I'm a coward. A leader is confident, strong, and kind, and has the skill to lead people. While I act tough when I will never fight a person that is better than me or anything that gives me a disadvantage."
"That bullshit." I jumped as Jaune shouted at me before I looked at him with shock. "Didn't you fight the buffalo monster that I and Weiss couldn't beat? You were at every disadvantage, the Rinshi beast warrior was stronger, faster, and a better fighter but you still beat it." Jaune said as logic started to prevail. "If you were a coward, you wouldn't have run rather the fought it, but you didn't run and that proves that you are not a coward."
"But."
"No, but." Jaune cut me off. "You may not think of yourself as a coward while I'm here." Jaune smiled at me before I looked away.
"Whatever you say nerd." I said, trying to sound angry but failing at it. Before we knew we could have people screaming, we looked over to see a store being robbed. Jaune turned to me with puppy dog eyes before I sighed.
"Fine, only once." I said before we transformed before we ran into the store and took out the robbers with ease.
"That's all of them." Jaune said as he dropped the last body to the ground in front of the store. I looked at the three Faunus robbers, as all of them were knocked out or two of them, one was playing dead. Or at least I was hoping. I turned my head after hearing some sounds before seeing three policeman cars. I watch as the people started to get out.
"Everything is okay…" I didn't get to finish before I felt a sharp pain, and I slowly looked down to see a bullet hole. I could see blood running down my lower body before I looked up to see one of the policemen pointing their guns at me.
"Red." Jaune shouted before running over to me as I fell down on one leg. "Are you okay?" Jaune around on the policemen. "What was that for, we were helping people."
"By the order of the Vale council, we are ordered to kill you at any cost."
"Why."
"The three of you so-called Power Rangers are deemed as a national security risk. because the monsters seem to wanna kill you three." I just glared at the bastards before I slowly got up from the ground.
"I guess there is only one thing to do." I said before I looked at Jaune. "Run." I shouted out before we ran with everything we had.
I took a deep breath as I finally stopped running. I looked over my shoulder to see no policeman cars around, before letting out a relieved sigh. I looked around to see that I was in the slum of the city and I couldn't find Jaune. I tried to walk, only to get a sharp pain. I looked down to see the hole left after the bullet hit me. I still couldn't believe that I was shot by a cop. I started to walk into an alleyway just to hide for a while.
Once in the alleyway, I started looking for anything that could help me with my wound. After a few seconds, I took off my T-shirt and started to wrap that around the wound. I could feel the pain lessening before I sighed and sat down on the ground.
"Well, this day turned to shit." I said to myself before I wince in pain. "First I get told by Will that he can't turn me back to the blue ranger because of the Red Morphin Master. I also find out that we are now wanted dead by the council of Vale, and I just hope that it doesn't get worse." I felt like I just jinx myself.
"Look what we have here." I fucking jinx myself. I looked over to see about ten guys walking over to me with a bunch of smug looks. I slowly got up from the ground while looking at the leader. "How about you make it easy and give…" The leader didn't get to finish before I took a hold of his face and crush his head into pieces. His dead body fell down to the ground before I looked at the thugs.
"I don't have time for this." I said while glaring at the rest of them while my hand was covered in blood. "You picked a bad day to be out." With that, I started to rip all nine human being apart. Limb by limb. The only thing that could be heard was their screams for help.
"Damnit, now I'm covered in blood." I whine as I was primarily covered in the blood of my enemies. Does this make me a monster after all, I don't feel anything about this. I mean I just killed a few people and I feel nothing? I just shrugged before I walked out of the alleyway.
I never notice the woman looking out the window.
"Take it easy." I screamed as Jaune started to pull out the bullet in my body. Both of us were back at the pizza parlor with no one but ourselves in the building which made this easier. I screamed again before the bullet finally came out. I let out a final scream before I started to pant for breath. Jaune pulled out a few band-aids before he started to wrap them around my body.
"Does it still hurt?" Jaune asked before I looked at him with a glare.
"I was shot, what do you think."
"Right stupid question." Jaune chuckles as he finishes wrapping me with the bandages. "I still don't understand why they would attack us like that, aren't we helping everyone."
"We are helping them." I admitted to him. "But let's face it, this world is facing a threat they have never seen before. And now they see three teenagers fighting monsters that can turn taller than buildings and that are stronger than Huntsman." I turned to face the blonde. "Wouldn't you feel threatened by the powerful monster and weird superpowered teenagers?" Jaune was quiet for a bit before he nodded.
"How do we make them not want to kill us."
"We stop being heroes." I continue as I ignored the sound Jaune made. "In the two months that we became the Power rangers, about a hundred people died from the first two Rinshi beast warriors' attack. We are a causality because our very strength is stronger than huntsmen and the monsters we fight. Because of that, the people with powers see us as a threat and want to make sure we don't overrule them." I sighed. "The only way is to either rule humanity with strength or stop being heroes. Some people may see us as heroes but not everyone is going to want to keep us alive"
"That is a very depressing way to think about our heroism." Jaune said as he couldn't argue with the logic. "I would have never known that trying to help people would cause so much trouble." Jaune sighed. "Does this mean there will be people wanting to stop us like Huntsman?"
"Yeah, think of it like if a person has superpowers, and chooses to do good with them, it would, by definition, become a superhero. This could lead to conflict because people would see us as a threat to them because they can't stop us. Once people of power think of us as a threat, they will try their best to stop us. And eventually, we will have to fight the people we saved or die trying." I said to Jaune, and I could hear Jaune stand up, before he started to walk away. "Where you going."
"I need to think about a few things." I raise an eyebrow at his word before I just shrugged it away as Jaune went into our room. As I was left alone, I wondered what I could eat.
"I wonder what is on the tv right now."
This is a bit short than normal but I hope that is alright.
