TERRANCE AND PHILLIP PREMIERE EPISODE DRAWS CONTROVERSY
The Terrance and Phillip Season Two Premiere Episode Not Without my Anus has stirred controversy.
The Episode depicts War Criminal Hank Scorpio, who joins forces with Terrance and Phillip nemesis Scott. Scott is threatened into working with Scorpio and helping him conquer Canada. Scorpio kidnaps Terrance's daughter Sally and his ex wife Celine Dion(who play fictionalized versions of themselves). The duo rescue Sally but Scorpio takes over Canada. Celine Dion is revealed to be dating the character Ugly Bob(While he wears a paper bag over his head, due to the. Similar design of the characters, Bob does not appear to look any different than anyone else to the viewer). Scorpio has Terrance and Phillip captured and brought to a Football stadium to be executed only for the duo to encourage every Canadian to put on gas masks and fart at the same time, creating a giant fart cloud that kills Scorpio and his men.

CONTROVERSY
The Episode became controversial due to its depiction of War criminal Hank Scorpio, who at the time was reported to had been killed. The Episode also came under fire for supporting the at the time Conspiracy theory that Scorpio had survived, which gained tractions when people pointed out the lack of a body and that similar theories about Adolf Hitler had been discovered to be true. The later revelation that Scorpio was hiding in Canada made the episode harsher in hindsight[1]

"Ha Ha Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!(Scorpio keels over, slamming his fist on the table and wiping a tear from his eye."
"You actually find this funny? This is so stupid?"
'Why not? You know Hitler saw The Great Dictator twice?"
"So what?"
"Seeing it once and hating it I can buy. I mean you bought the ticket you might as well. Seeing it twice is when it gets suspicious."
"I don't think its ethically right to laugh at horrible people. It trivializes them."
"Oh, C'mon Grimey, You can laugh at Horrible people. So long as you take them seriously."
-Privately recorded conversation between Hank Scorpio and Frank Grimes.
"I'M A FUCKING GINGER!"
-Eric Cartman upon learning the identity of his father.
"So yeah, turns out Cartman's father was Jack Tenorman, a Denver Bronco, or now a South Park Bronco. The people at the meeting wanted to keep it a secret since it was Super Bowl season and the Broncos were competing with Jack as one of their star players, but with so many people there someone slipped up and so the controversy hit the news. I heard that Ms. Tenorman was furious but eventually accepted it because it happened a long time ago. If anything Jack Tenorman now felt like he had an obligation to his new son and so decided to spend time with him whenever he could. This made his other son Scott furious. I heard they argued and his wife also became uncomfortable with the idea of him living two lives. Cartman on the other hand seemed to get happier once he realized he was also half Bronco[2].
"Drugs are bad, M'Kay"
"South Park Elementary School Teacher fired for passing marijuana to kids."
"We'd lost now we lost . After he was fired he got Hooked on Marijuana. He did get married and go to India. The A-Team, some pardoned group of Vietnam War veterans I think, were win India at the time. They were tasked with bringing him in and they brought him to the Betty ford Clinic. I mean that must be great. There's a musical about it, plus they helped out that Robert Downey Jr guy. Eventually he got out.
-Private Journal of Kyle Broflovski[3]
"There was a ChickenF**Ker on the loose. Someone assaulting Chickens. Turns out it was the driver of the Booktastic Bus, which was a mobile library that came to town. I'm not surprised that guy creeped me out. We also learned Officer Barbrady never learned how to read, apparently he read Atlas Shrugged once and hated it, vowing never to read again[4] He recruited us to help him. Cartman went made with power immediately and rode around town dressed as a cop on his big wheel telling everyone "You will respect my Authoritay!".

"Pip hit me really hard in Dodgeball and gave me a nosebleed. I was sent to the Nurse's office. Nurse Golumn kinda creeped me out honestly. She had this stitched up scar on the side of her face and in her office she has this kind of transparent box with a conjoined fetus inside it. She said that they were her siblings which scared the crap out of me. It had to be explained to me that you can actually have fetuses preserved like that and that her parents probably asked for that. It still creeped me out. We all started calling her "Conjoined Fetus Lady" a name that she hated. We still used it of course[5]."
" is making slow progress. He's began to act erratically after having his hand puppet Mr. Hat, taken away from him. I proposed the idea to him that represented his gay side trying to get out. He became aggressive."
private notes
"Today I learned to swim. Would have had a great time if those GODDAMN FIRST GRADERS DIDN'T KEEP PISSING IN THE SWIMMING POOL!"
-Diary of Eric Cartman
"Uncle Jimbo and Ned were arrested for trying to smuggle fireworks into the state."
-Private Journal of Stan Marsh
"With all that was going on with the alien invasion and now World War Three almost back to back, Robert Redford decided to move the Sundance Film Festival from Salt Lake City, Utah to South Park, Colorado. Of course this meant the town was flooded with Hollywood celebrities. Redford hoped that this would gain support and relief for the town. We got the assignment from school to watch one of the independent films and write a report on it. We all decided to do the same film and watched Brokeback Mountain, this movie was about gay cowboys. Cartman thought all independent movies were about "Gay Cowboys eating Pudding"[7]. Most of the people in town were excited but the local celebrities got annoying after awhile and we were already dealing with an influx of people moving in after the volcano destroyed Denver, so Redford ended up making things worse. On the plus side. Chef set up a stand selling his Chocolate Salty Balls
Footnotes
[1] The Original Episode depicted Saddam Hussein. ITTL Saddam Hussein was assassinated during the Gulf War, due to a flashback of Krusty the Clown where he prevented Hussein's execution as many jokes relied on him. ITTL he doesn't do that and Hussein was killed. As such the Terrance and Phillip show chose Hank Scorpio as the subject of ridicule.
[2] This twist was not revealed until episode 200 in Season 14. A lot had happened in the intervening time and this earlier revelation is going to change a lot, threatening to butterfly away one of Cartman's most evil actions in the show. The original episode claimed Cartman's mom was a hermaphrodite and therefore was Cartman's father, making the real question who Cartman's mother was though Cartman himself lost interest.
[3] The Episode features a cameo from the A-Team. Of the group Hannibal Smith has since died, due to his actor George Peppard passing away in 1994.
The Betty Ford Clinic does indeed feature in the Episode this is based on. This combined with it having a musical in the City of New York vs Homer Simpson, suggests it is far more successful ITTL.
An entire Episode's A plot is butterflied away. The Episode Ike's Wee Wee revolves around Ike's Bris. A procedure performed when a child is 8 days old. With the passage of time and Ike being adopted. He'd have had it already as would have Kyle, meaning he knows what it is, butterflying away the Episode's plot happening because of a misunderstanding.
[4] ITTL Ayn Rand founded a school for children, due to the "Ayn Rand School for Tots" appearing in the Simpsons. However its not too out of the realm of possibility that she was also an author, Atlas Shrugged received negative reviews when it was released in 1957 and gained popularity later on. Assuming that the uptick in its popularity never happened then Rand's career as a writer likely fizzled out and she chose a different profession.
[5] The Original Episode has Nurse Golumn suffer from the Fictional disease of Conjoined twin Myslexia, having a conjoined fetus on her face which apparently cannot be removed without killing her. To make this a bit more plausible I made the conjoined fetus in a box(my uncle has something like this for a small fetus) and gave Nurse Golumn a stitched up scar as an allusion to the original episode. In this case the fear comes from Kyle misunderstanding the situation.
[6] The Episode " City on the Edge fo Forever" or "Flashbacks" was revealed to be a dream at the end.
[7] The original episode had Cartman saying 'gay cowboys eating Pudding" which was seven years before Brokeback Mountain in what is an amusing "South Park predicted the future" bit. However, the short story the film was based on by Annie Proulx did exist in 1997, as such ITTL Annie Proulx became a director rather than a writer, allowing her to bring Brokeback Mountain to the Screen earlier.
