Callie was standing just outside her loft, keying her Lamborghini when Webber approached her from behind. She knew that Richard Webber was a man of few words and whatever it is that he wanted to say, must be of importance, so she threw her jacket and briefcase inside and turned to face him.

"Ms. Torres. It was so good to see Ms. Arizona again. She's really a sweet child. She has always treated me with so much kindness and respect"

Callie looked at the ageing man. He has been in their service for 30 years now. She knew he and her father were close friends and often chatted over a mug of beer every now and then.

"She's special Richard" Callie added

"I agree. She indeed is. You have the same glint in your eyes that your father had whenever he was with Lucia."

Callie smiled brightly, feeling elated. Her father was

not with her today but hearing Richard's acceptance, filled her with satisfaction and contentment. Her father would have reacted the same way.

"Ms. Torres. It's not my place to say anything but Carlos would have wanted me to….Ms. Torres, your father also wanted to get out of this line of business. He wanted to settle down, with Lucia and his wonderful kids…..but he couldn't. As you may well know, there's no easy exit route. It always comes at a price." Richard watched as realisation settled on Callie's features and her face turned stone.

"We all know what happened with the Shepherds. Meredith Grey didn't died of a mere car accident." he added as Callie nodded in understanding.

Callie had spent nights after nights planning her exit, as of now there were no kinks in her plan. Irrespective of the consequences, she was ready to take the leap of faith because now she wanted an out from this life, for herself as well.

"What….what's your suggestion?" She asked in a uncharacteristically shaky voice

"That when the time comes, be more prepared for the cops than the underworld!" Webber said as he patted Callie on her arm softly and then walked away.

Once Arizona parked her car and got out, she turned and flinched when she walked by the sidewalk where Carina had ducked her down to save her from the flying glasses. She stared up at the new shiny window. You wouldn't have even known there was a shooting over a couple of weeks ago. When she walked in, she noticed April flirting with a new bartender that she didn't recognize. She headed over to them.

"Hey April," Arizona said, before April pounced on her.

"Oh My God," she said in her thick southern accent, as she hugged Arizona. "How are you? Why haven't you come back to the apartment? " April shot out question after question.

"I'm fine, April. Come on, we texted back & forth everyday."

"But that was just about the restaurant business. And I have missed you" the redhead said as she pulled Arizona for another hug.

"I have missed you too Kepner!"

With the hoards of bills waiting to be signed, Arizona knew she had a lot of paperwork to take care of, but she was back to work after a long time and her sole motto today was running the service and engaging with customers first hand.

"You sure Callie," Mark asked. "You know, there's no going back after this."

Callie nodded, "Yes, I'm sure."

"Well, I'm happy for you. I never thought I would see this day. And over a woman at that," Mark smirked.

Callie was finally setting her plans in motion. She couldn't delay it any further. She knew she was taking a huge gamble, but damn if Arizona wasn't worth it. She loved her and she hoped what she was doing would truly show Arizona exactly how she felt about her.

"So, just those we have deals with now, right? Anyone else will just eventually get the message, right?"

"Right."

"And what would we be left with? Just the restaurants, clubs?"

"Yes. And I'll also start a Architectural unit"

"Well…., if you are leaving, so am I" Mark added as he scratched the side of his face.

"It's your choice Mark. Though you can take the chance I'm giving you, run this empire after me", Callie said as she stifled through the files

"No Torres, we are in this together. Lexie would disown me if she ever knew I didn't took an chance at exit, when I had it!"

"Suit yourself!"

Mark smiled, as he pulled out his cell phone and began making the first of many calls.

Callie walked back into her study, to find Preston Burke still busy making and printing documents. She never thought lawyers could be trustworthy, but over the years, Burkes had proven that he could be. But a slight sting hit Callie's nerves. She had thought Edwards was trustworthy as well. Even more reason to continue with her plans. She still didn't have all the pieces in position, but if everything turned out like she envisioned it would...then she would be one happy woman. A woman who probably didn't deserve the easy life after all the wrong she had done, but that was between her and her maker.

Callie had already spoken with Mark and Alex about her next strategy, the only one left to address was Carina.

Arizona tried to pretend that it wasn't bothering her but now it was getting on her nerves. A blonde woman with a pixie cut hairdo had been at her restaurant throughout the day, occasionally ordering a cappuccino or a beer but otherwise just sitting ideal.

And Arizona was getting livid.

She had learned a couple of skills from Callie on how to stay attentive of the environment and Ms. Pixie Cut was rubbing her all the wrong way. When Arizona took a break mid-shift, and stepped outside to have a call with her mother and then Lucia, Ms. Pixie was standing casually on the sidewalk at a safe distance. When Arizona stepped inside, so did she. And all this can't be some coincidence. As the day weaned off and Arizona decided to close for the day and pay a surprise visit to Callie, she could see a midnight blue car following her closely. Fear settled deep within her as she put her feet on pedal and sped through the streets to reach Callie's house as fast as she could.

Outside the gates of Callie's mansion, Arizona swiftly got out of the car and made it the door when she turned around to see Ms. Pixie closing in on her, an unreadable expression on her face. Arizona could see behind the short woman that the door to her car was open? Probably so she could drag her into the car?

Oh no. She won't let this happen. Again.

Arizona acted swiftly and with a precise move, when the shorter woman reached her, she grabbed her from the elbow and pushed her against the wall, locking her frame with an arm pressed to the neck.

"WHO ARE YOU? And why are you following me" Arizona shouted as she pressed harder to keep the shorter woman locked to the wall. She then immediately felt two hands slip around her waist from behind, as someone pulled her back.

"WOHA! Calm down Tiger" Callie said as she kept Arizona in her embrace so as she won't attack the shorter woman again, who was now coughing uncomfortably.

"Callie! Thank god you are here. This woman has been following me. She was behind me throughout the day!" Arizona said as she turned in Callie's embrace.

"I know" Callie said calmly

"Wait. What?"

"Good evening Ms. Torres. I was just here to sign-off for the day" the shorter woman said as she shook hands with Callie

"Thank you Brooks. Nice work. Arizona would be soon heading home and I want you to make sure she reaches home safely, before you sign-off" Callie added

"Noted." the shorter woman said as she watched Callie pull Arizona inside.

As soon as they were inside, Arizona launched a myriad of questions at Callie. "…So, what was that?"

"That's Heather Brooks. She's here for your security, when I'm not near you. She's my eyes on you" Callie winked

"You have someone following me now? Someone who will follow me everywhere I go? What the hell Callie!" Callie wasn't expecting Arizona to be so angry at the situation.

"She was like everywhere, Callie, it's annoying and irritating and I'll go insane if someone will invade my privacy like that" Arizona said as she threw her arms in the air in desperation.

Callie waited a couple of moments for Arizona to calm down and relax. She had already received the report from the clinic and she understood why Arizona might be overreacting. Though she was thinking of sharing the reports with Arizona now that she was here, it didn't seem like the right moment anymore.

She reached forward and held Arizona's hands, "Arizona…you won't stop working and I understand why and I want you to work. But it's not safe out there and you know it. Heather Brooks is a trustworthy agent and she's great and fast in her responses. You want to work, be out all day, then do it, but meet me half-way. I won't get a single thing done if I'm spending each and every moment worrying about your safety"

Arizona nodded her head in understanding. Of course she understood. She might not like it, but Callie was right. She will have to meet her half-way.

"You could have warned me" Arizona said punching Callie's shoulder

"I could have. But then I wouldn't have got to see you going all cage fighter on her…..that was SUPER HOT"

"I'll show you how HOT I am, if you just take me to the bedroom" Arizona said as she played at the laple of Callie's jacket.

"Tempting. But I still have lots of work to get done. How about you go to the loft and get comfortable and I'll meet you for the dinner" Callie asked

"Sounds like a plan" and Arizona sealed it with a searing kiss.

When Alex brought Carina into Callie's office, Carina looked nervous as always. She quickly glanced back and forth between Callie and Burke.

"Hey, Callie. You wanted to see me?"

"Yes, Carina. Have a seat," Callie said, while she signed documents.

Carina felt anxious. She never wanted to say or do the wrong thing around Callie, which of course she always did. But at least Callie looked calm and relaxed. Carina wasn't sure who the guy was beside Callie, but she just hoped that Callie wasn't dragging her to another bloody mission. She was happy at her bistro and she wanted to do nothing more.

"Carina, this is my lawyer, Preston Burke. He's present today to make sure everything goes smoothly," Callie stated, shuffling a group of papers.

"If this is about the other night, I feel like I should stop you, before we go any further. I really need to tell you-," Carina started.

"Now...is not really the time to bring up anything from the other night," Callie warned, narrowing her eyes.

"I understand. But basically Callie, I just want to tell you that I don't think I'm the right woman that you're looking for. I mean, I thank you for the opportunity you have given me, and maybe in a few months when I'm back at Best Buy I'll be kicking my own ass, but I just can't do this anymore. And I know you called me in here today, but truthfully, I was going to ask to speak to you about all of this. I'm sorry if I've let you down in any way," Carina finished. She had been practicing that speech all morning and made sure to look Callie directly in the face while delivering the news.

Callie leaned back in her chair. "You have done everything that I have asked you to do. I have no complaints."

Carina exhaled. "Thank you, Callie."

"What is it that you want to do, Carina?"

Carina smiled. She knew exactly what she wanted to do. "I really, really want to just run the bistro. I mean, that would be the best. And who knows, maybe in time open up one on the west coast too. Those cool exclusive kind that only let in hot people and celebrities. I have so many plans for it."

Jesus, Arizona was right, Carina did carry so many similarities to Bobby. And one of the most important things Callie needed was someone trustworthy on the right side of law. Callie nodded, "I thought so. Sign this."

Carina stared down at the document. "What's this?" she said, picking up the file and a pen.

"It's a document that states I'm turning over thirty percent ownership of my restaurant and clubs to you."

Carina thought her eyes were going to pop out of the sockets. She couldn't have heard that right. There was no way. "Wait, I'm sorry Callie. What did you say?"

"I'm leaving, Carina. For good. Mark is in the process of giving my clients alternative, trustworthy sources, so I'm out. And there's not really any going back at this point. I'm cutting all ties with all the trades that happen in my clubs and restaurants, and pretty soon I'm planning to leave this city as well. I called you in here today to let you know of my plans. I'm making changes in the ownership so as me, Mark, Alex and you all have shareholdings. Me & Mark will be expanding the business further in some new city. You and Alex will manage the business here. Alex doesn't really want full responsibility, so you two will be co-owners. He preferred to just stay on as head of security for my-well now yours and Alex's too, —business if you accept."

Carina couldn't believe it. Her?! An owner of a business...which was like a dream come true. "Hell yes! I mean, yes, of course. Are you sure? I mean, this is me we're talking about. You sure Alex is cool with this?"

"If you haven't noticed, Alex doesn't really like being around people...or talking to them, or dealing with them, so he's just fine as head of security, while you're in charge of operations. So yes, I'm sure. Don't fuck it up," Callie said.

"No, Mam! Of course not. I just...oh, man. I can't believe this," Carina said, running her hands through her hair. Her momma is going to be so proud. Maya would be so proud. Her girl, finally making it in the world.

"We've had our problems in the past, but you're a pretty good woman and you deserve it. Invest well and it will pay off big time. Preston will have you sign all the documents."

Carina stood up and leaned over the desk to shake Callie's hand. "Thank you so much, Callie. I can't even tell you how wonderful this is. I mean, shit, thank you. I swear I'll name my first born after you...even if it's a boy. Really, thank you."

"You're welcome, Bobby," Callie said, as she started looking over more documents.

Carina wasn't sure who the hell Bobby was, but Callie looked extremely busy. So she hopped up and walked toward the door, but then turned around. "Hey Callie...where will you go?"

Callie gave a small smile, but didn't answer.

When Callie pulled onto Derek's estate, she hoped that she wouldn't run into Amelia Shepherd. Once she rounded the imposing fountain, she saw Derek sitting on one of the lawn chairs, enjoying a calm sunset. She pulled over and made her way to her old friend.

"Derek" Callie nodded as she approached

Derek smiled and stood up to pull Callie into a half hug. Callie was a bit taken aback but she felt calm and secured in his arms. Anyways, if something wrong were to happen, Alex and Mark were sitting in the car to act swiftly, she reasoned with her chain of thoughts.

"Have a seat Torres. I'm glad we could meet again. Our last meeting was a bit rough. How's Arizona?" He asked

"She's well Derek. She sends you her regards for all you have done for her" Callie said as she made herself comfortable.

They both watched the sunset in silence. Once it was a bit darker, Derek's front yard got lit up in hoards of lights and the fountain got bathed in colourful patterns and lighting.

"Meredith loved this. The lighting was her idea. Everyday I sit here in the evening and see for myself why she loved these lights so much" Derek broke the silence as he looked at Callie. Her face was being illuminated by streaks of red, blue, green and yellow light every now and then and it made him remember the old times.

"I'm quitting Derek!" Callie said after a few more moments. She could see the shock registering on her friend's face and then the same morphing into a smile.

"It's for Arizona, isn't it?" he asked, still smiling in a teasing way

"Yes Derek, it's for Arizona…" Callie replied as she swatted his arm

After a few more moments of tender silence, Callie asked, "What should I be worried about here Derek?"

Derek looked at her and then sighed. "It's not easy." He started as he stood up and put his hands in the pocket, "The people who you were dealing with will want to come after you for taking their 'safe space' of dealing away from them. The cops will come after you because now you are the weak link…"

"Weak link?" Callie questioned

"When someone leaves the bad guys to be a good guy, the cops by default know that this guy is their key to everything. This guy is the link that's broken. It would be easy to break this guy then any of the bad guys they know of"

Callie nodded her head in understanding and gestured for Derek to continue.

"Besides the cops, the people who will come after you are your competitors, like Amelia…. Because you know everything wrong they do and you can rat them out easily"

Derek sat back down beside his friend as he further explained how he managed to get out of the business after Meredith's death.

"For what it's worth Callie, I think you are doing the right thing. Just don't break." Derek finished

"I have something else to ask you" Callie said after a long pause

As Callie made her way inside her loft, she found Arizona flipping through channels on the tv and pouting.

She deftly held the big bouquet of Orchids in one hand and Arizona's report in the other as she move to stand in front of the pouting blonde.

Arizona looked up briefly and then went back to scrolling through channels.

"Well….?" Callie asked shifting uncomfortably on her feet, balancing the life-size bouquet in her hand, a bit confused at why Arizona isn't jumping up and down in joy at the sight of her favourite flowers.

"You are late!" Arizona spat out angrily, "You were supposed to reach here by 9pm"

"And it's just 9:10, I got late because I was buying flowers for you….had this one made just for you..,why are you so angry?" Callie said looking at the huge wall clock on the adjoining wall

Arizona huffed in annoyance again and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Frankly, she wasn't sure why she was so annoyed. Callie was just 10 minutes late. Maybe she was still angry at Callie for tying her up with a 24x7 security guard….ok maybe it was not for 24x7.

"You know, I don't even need these reports to confirm that you are pregnant! I mean look at you…pouting over nothing" Callie teased and smiled brightly as she looked at Arizona's shocked face, who leaped at her to take the reports from her hand and read it.

Arizona was still deep into her reports, when Callie came and stood in front of her, extending the bouquet, "To the mother…of my child!….I love you!"

"We are having a baby?" Arizona asked, looking up from the paper in her hand, feeling silly, emotional, foolish, excited, all at the same time.

"We are having a baby!" Callie confirmed, as she pulled Arizona in for a heated kiss.

One Week Later

The past week with Callie had been absolute bliss for Arizona. Callie still conducted many private calls and meetings throughout the day, but she had been spending almost every day with her. And they had come to another compromise over Oysters. Callie had bought back Derek's shares in Oysters and the restaurant was now under the Torres Empire umbrella, though Arizona was still the majority shareholder and main owner. At first Arizona obviously protested, but Callie had said it was for her own safety, and she couldn't argue on it further when even Derek agreed.

"I can't believe you are my boss now!" Arizona huffed as she settled on her pillow. She switched off the light and turned her back to Callie. The soft glow of the moon and city lights were still illuminating the bed room perfectly.

"I'm not your boss. You are your own boss. I just..,..own some shares" Callie said as she settled beside Arizona and pulled the covers on them.

After a few moments of silence, Arizona started tossing and turning and then sat up against the headboard, irritation evident in her mood.

"I need sex! I can't sleep if I'm not tired" she demanded

Callie sat up in response and took off her t-shirt and turned to look at Arizona who still had her arms crossed against her chest.

"Well…are we doing this or not?" Callie asked incredulously, Arizona's mood swings wearing thin on her.

"I'm mad that you are my boss. I can't even look at you" Arizona said in jest

"Well then, roll over" Callie said as she got out of her shorts and watched in amusement as Arizona made a show of annoyance at pulling her own shorts down and turning her back to Callie.

Callie scooted closer, and lined her body behind Arizona. She kissed the small exposed part of Arizona's shoulder as she pushed one of her hands under Arizona's tank top to cup her breasts, while she used the other hand to line up her erection at Arizona's sex.

"God…how are you already so soaked" Callie moaned

"Callie…." Arizona warned, a telltale hint that she doesn't wants to be teased, just fucked.

With a practiced movement, Callie pushed her organ deep inside Arizona's slippery passage and started a delirious rhythm. Back and forth, she rammed in and out of Arizona while simultaneously toying with her boobs and nipping at her neck.

"Oh Callie…" Arizona panted, as her body responded deliciously. Only her Callie could get her this aroused.

She soon came, her body arching into the body behind her as a mind numbing orgasm washed through her, but Callie continued with her ministrations, and soon she was on the verge of her second release. Oh she was going to sleep so soundly tonight!

As Callie continued her pounding, this time they both came together. She licked the salty mixture of sweat and skin at Arizona's neck and gently pulled out, both of them groaning at the release.

As she Callie settled on her back, letting the air-conditioner cool-off her body, she felt Arizona curling up to her, settling on her chest.

"Am I forgiven?" Callie hummed

"Nope! You will just have to make it up to me with lots and lots of sex!"

Another Week Later

Another change was that Arizona had moved back into the loft. Heather Brooks was now sharing the apartment above Oysters with April Kepner. Arizona had wondered at first why Callie didn't want her to move into her house, but Callie had said she had her reasons. At first, it stung...but she had to trust that Callie's reasons weren't anything for her to worry about. She trusted Callie. And since Callie practically lived in the loft with her anyway, it helped to ease the sting.

"Honey, I'm home," she heard Callie say as Callie entered the loft. Arizona jumped up from the couch and ran to give her a big kiss, knocking her back against the wall.

"If I get to come home to this every night, then I'm sold," Callie mumbled in between her kisses.

"I'm sorry, I just missed you," Arizona said.

"Missed me? I've only been gone for a few hours."

"You've been gone since eight this morning, and it's now six."

Callie stared at her, before a slow smile crept across her face. Ever since they had discovered the pregnancy, Arizona was a bit crazy about her, that's for sure. And Callie loved it. At least she wasn't in this alone.

Arizona's eyes widened, "I mean...well, it seemed like a really long time." She tried to back track realizing how insane she probably sounded. But she had missed Callie. Stupid hormones.

"I love you too, baby," Callie said, patting Arizona on the ass as she walked into the kitchen and sat a bag on the counter. "Don't peek in there."

Arizona was curious, but she didn't want to ruin Callie's surprise.

When Callie emerged from the back room, she was in her navy blue shorts and a grey t-shirt. Her hair was wet and slicked back, and she looked absolutely adorable.

"Do me a favor. Go sit out on the balcony and look sexy," Callie said.

Arizona was wondering what the hell was going on, but she said nothing. Instead she walked out onto the balcony and sat down at the table. It was a warm night, just like the night they had first made love. So she only had on a pair of short cotton shorts and a white tank top. Her boobs were a bit sensitive, so she wasn't wearing a bra, but she figured Callie would appreciate that. In fact Callie had been appreciating that for a week now…... Arizona stared out at the sky. The stars looked as though they had been spray painted onto a black canvas.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" she heard Callie say from behind her. She turned and Callie was staring at her. Callie had a fancy plate in one hand, two champagne glasses in the other hand and an apple juice bottle underneath her arm. That was another thing that Arizona adored, Callie had given up drinking along with her.

Callie sat the tray of chocolate covered strawberries on the table, and then quickly poured a glass of juice for both of them.

"Callie, this looks...amazing, what's going on?"

"We're celebrating," Callie said, handing her a glass.

"Celebrating what?"

Callie sat down and took a sip. "New beginnings." Callie picked up a chocolate covered strawberry and brought it to Arizona's lips. Arizona stared right at her and took a seductive bite, and then closed her eyes and whimpered.

"That's good," Arizona said, opening her eyes.

The woman can bite a strawberry and send blood pumping through her cock, Callie thought. She leaned over to kiss and lick Arizona's lips, tasting chocolate and juice. "Very good," Callie said, licking her own lips.

"So, what new beginnings are we celebrating, Ms. Torres?" Arizona asked.

Callie leaned back in her chair. "A beautiful virtuous woman once told an unmoving arrogant prick that there is always a place for decency and at the end of the day, money isn't everything and it never was. Well this prick finally listened. I'm out, baby."

Arizona continued to stare at Callie. "I don't understand. What do you mean?"

"I'm out of this business. For good. Nothing else illegal."

"What?" Arizona whispered. "You're—you're..." She couldn't even finish the sentence. "Oh my God!" she screamed as she hopped up and straddled Callie's lap.

"I'm so happy! Are you serious?" Arizona kept asking her over and over, in between kisses.

"I'm serious, baby," Callie said, as she gently pulled Arizona back to look into her eyes. Beautiful azure pools that were quickly watering up. God, she loved her so much, and now it was time to show Arizona exactly how much.

"I love you and I have one more thing to tell you," Callie said, lifting Arizona up from her lap.

Arizona quickly wiped her eyes. There was nothing else Callie could possibly tell her that could match the feeling of elation that she felt at the moment. She sat back down in her chair and waited for the other news.

Callie stood up and pulled something from behind her back. It was a book. When she handed it to her, she knew exactly which one. Her book of '100 Greatest Love Poems'.

Callie walked around behind her and kissed the top of her head. "I added something else to it...it's at the bottom of the other poem I wrote in the back," she whispered in Arizona's ear from behind.

Arizona smiled and opened the book to the last page. She quickly skimmed over the beautiful cursive of the first poem Callie had recited for her. But when she reached the bottom, she only saw a few words scribbled on the page. She leaned closer to read them:

'I Love You. Turn Around, Beautiful'.

Arizona crinkled her brows in confusion as she turned around. "Callie, it just says-," she started, then froze. Her hand went to her mouth in utter shock. She came face to face with Callie kneeling behind her, with a familiar looking blue box tied with a white ribbon, in her hand.

"Arizona?"

"Yes," Arizona quickly replied.

Callie raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Is that a yes because I said your name, or yes because you know what I'm about to ask?"

"Both," Arizona whispered, visibly shaking at this point.

"Marry me?"

"Yes! Absolutely," she shrieked, as she leaned over to kiss Callie. Her legs were complete jello as she slid over top of Callie, straddling her knee. Arizona couldn't even breathe, but she knew it was a combination of shock and joy, which she could possibly die from.

Who would have even thought this possible? The first time they had met, Arizona had been scared to death. And when Callie had walked briskly into her office and sat down in front of her, she was probably the most beautiful woman Arizona had ever seen.

But it had been Callie's eyes during their first meeting that caused her to shiver. They looked so cold and empty. But to look into them now, instead of a brown soulless storm, they resembled something more peaceful. Like a cool, calm crystal lake. She felt as though she could stare into them forever.

Callie pulled the bow off of the light blue box and opened it. The most jaw-dropping, gorgeous diamond ring was staring back at her. Callie slid it onto Arizona's finger and kissed her again. Arizona was almost afraid to close her eyes for fear that she would lose the small platinum trinket, which she was sure cost more than her car.

"Do you like it, baby?" Callie asked.

Arizona didn't know what else to say. At this moment, words were so underrated. There wasn't even a phrase she could utter to explain the feelings she felt. Nothing. So instead of trying to inarticulately tell Callie that she loved her, Arizona pressed her lips to Callie's mouth and kissed her deeply.

As their lips continued to lock, Arizona thought about everything that had happened. She was engaged? To Calliope Torres? Life...could be full of impossible, yet incredible surprises.
