At Nicolède's house, C'ian was treating Murne's wounds after her incident with the Fallen with her healing power, while the whole group was in the same room, including Loygod after hearing about Murne, who was also interrogating her.
"Let's see if I'm aware of this. Are you saying that your master Thanos is the one sending the monsters into town?" Loygod asked.
"That's right," Murne replied.
"And can know exactly why?"
"It's simple. The monsters would wreak havoc on the city, weary both the city guards and Lanfeust, so that one day Thanos would send his most powerful monster to finish off the brat, giving Thanos a chance to get the medallion. Then he would use it to destroy all the monsters, thus becoming Eckmül's hero, being able to rule the city unopposed."
"It's a very well organized plan," Nicolède commented. "It has its risks, but it's very organized."
"And say it. The old trick of the villain who becomes a hero." Kairi said.
"But here's something I don't understand," Edea said.
"Right, why are you telling us this when Thanos is behind it all?" Lanfeust said. "To tell us about this would be the same as betraying Thanos, and we all know how loyal you are to him."
"Yes, I'm loyal to Thanos." She said, when Cyan healed her completely, rising. "But this plan is not entirely yours."
"Then whose?" Nina asked. "Who else could offer this plan to your master Thanos?"
"Who? A manipulative freaking fairy who has managed to make Thanos listen to her and eat from her hand without realizing it!"
"A fairy?" Rena asked, and looked up at Edea and Kairi, who looked back at him.
"Is something wrong, ladies?" Loygod asked. "Is there something we don't all know?"
Edea soon looked at Murne. "Doesn't that fairy have butterfly wings and wear a white dress with black boots and gloves and answerable by the name of Airy?"
"Yes, that's right. Do you know her?" Murne asked.
"Yes, of course, I know Airy, and I must tell you that to call her manipulative is to fall short, but so short."
"Yeah, well, okay, there's a fairy that helps Thanos, or manipulates him, so what?" Lanfeust asked.
"So what, you say? As far as we know, I'm sure Thanos' plan has a trap for him." Kairi said. "And most likely, he's planning to take something in particular."
The people did not take long to look at Lanfeust, and he looked at his medallion. "The medallion?"
"But how? Aren't Lanfeust and Thanos supposed to be the only ones in the world who can use the medallion?" C'ian asked.
"In this world, as far as we know," Nicolède said. "Let's keep in mind that both our guests and that fairy are from another world."
"Yes, and there's plenty of worlds out there. Wouldn't it be possible for there to be a slight possibility that someone in one of those worlds could use the medallion?" Rena asked.
"That possibility exists, actually," Nina said. "As I read, Keyblades can be used by several people, some may even share the same weapon."
"Certainly, and if such an Airy is capable of manipulating Thanos, what does she tell us that she will not be able to manipulate anyone who can use the Medallion?" Nicolède asked.
"A medallion user with ultimate power, manipulated by another person. That's really scary." Loygod said.
"Well, that fairy will have to come and take it from me," Lanfeust said confidently.
"Don't you get it, brat?" Murne asked. "Airy and Thanos are creating a monster that will kill you, and not even the medallion in your hand could stop it!"
"Then let's go to where that monster is and crush him!" Lanfeust proposed.
"I like that plan!" Hebus said.
"Are you crazy?" Nina asked. "Are you really going to go to the mouth of the wolf?
"The truth is, we do those things, too," Kairi said.
"That's fine and all, but do you know where he is?" C'ixi asked.
"You're right, we can't go around beating the crap out of him to find him," Nina said.
Murne sighed and confronted everyone. "I know where he is. But you'll need dragons to keep up with me."
Everyone stared at her for a moment.
"Are you sure this is safe?!"
Edea asked as he mounted on one of the dragons of Eckmül's guard, piloted by C'ixi, as they followed other dragons, with Rena with Loygod, Kairi with Lanfeust, and Hebus with C'ian, following the flight of Murne's dragon who was guiding them. Nina was the only one who flew by herself with her wings.
"Don't worry, we've done this before," C'ixi said.
"Yeah, yeah, still..."
"There's nothing to worry about. Lignolio is here to set things right if they go wrong."
"As if that's a comfort, Mr. Hero."
"Did any of you seriously ever wonder if the Fallen might attack us flying?"
"I don't think they'll try again. If Airy were to release them constantly, people would discover where they came from." Kairi said. "Chances are she uses these altars to teleport them around."
"Yes, it's true. But we'd better hurry." Nina said. "Who knows if that Airy decides to send us anything."
"Behind Thanos' back? It would be very lucky if he did it again." Murne said. "Besides, if you follow me where I'm going, they won't detect us."
"As if that were possible," Edea said.
They continued to fly over the huge forest below until Eve contacted Kairi and the others. "I just located the place. Given Murne's explanations, the place where they would create these Fallen Ones should be a laboratory. It's 25 kilometers from your position. If you continue in the current direction, you will surely find some kind of structure in the middle of the forest."
"Thank you, Eve!" Kairi said.
"So that place is 20 miles this way, huh?" Edea asked Murne.
"That's right, so don't rest on your laurels," Murne said.
"Well, that depends on the dragons and who wears them," Kairi said, looking up at Lanfeust
"Don't worry, we'll be right there. But if you want, maybe Loygod can help you." the boy replied.
"Oh, yeah? And how can you tell?" Edea asked.
"It's not that I like to brag and all that, I'm even a little embarrassed, but I can understand and talk about the sound of animals," Loygod replied.
"Really? I doubt that." Rena said.
Loygod began to scream, and what surprised him was that it was a really fluid squeal, as if it were the animal itself. "It means' what do you think, miss?'" He told a confused Rena.
"Oh, I see. And how do you say in dragon' Can you fly faster, please?'"
Then Loygod said as that phrase was said in dragon sounds, and then Rena tried to repeat the sound, but obviously, it didn't exactly come out, and the Loygod dragon looked at her in anger.
"What did I say?" Rena asked.
"This, I'd rather not translate it exactly, but you just cast doubt on Tarikus' masculinity."
"Really?!"
Some laughed at what happened.
"Don't worry, the first time I tried a faster Petaurus, and I ended up telling him I was going to serve it for dinner," Lanfeust said.
"That doesn't help now!" Rena said and stroked the dragon's side. "Sorry, Tarikus. I promise I'll make it up to you somehow." Rena said to try and calm him down.
Murne rolled his eyes shaking his head.
"And what happened after you told him you were going to serve it for dinner?" Edea asked.
"That ended up literally running over me," Lanfeus replied, making Edea and Kairi laugh. "Hey, that wasn't funny, you know!
"Come on, let's leave the party alone and focus, we must get there as soon as possible," C'ian said.
Without noticing, a Spy Eye had located them and was following them from a distance so as not to be discovered.
"Thanos, I think you should see this," said Airy, making Thanos come over and see the monitor.
"What's Murne doing? Why is she bringing them here?"
"I don't know. All I know is that he left here recently, and there was a small attack in the city. Maybe they caught her and forced her to bring them here? Or has she even taken their side? It is true that you have never been in favor of this plan, great Thanos."
"If so, someone would be with her in her dragon. But the brat is too trusting, and maybe Murne has thought of bringing him here to finish soon. Whatever it is, the medallion will come here."
"Yes, and with company," Airy said and approached Thanos's face. "Maybe we should welcome them with a game."
"A game? What kind of game?"
"You see, on some worlds I've seen, they have a strange survival game in which there are monsters like we have." Airy then started tapping some buttons on a control panel. "They call it 'Resident Evil'." She pressed a button and an alarm started ringing.
The group continued to fly until they saw a sort of white structure in a clearing in the forest. When they landed, a large number of trolls were found away from the building.
"Boss!" one of the trolls shouted and everyone ran to Murne.
"What's going on? And Thanos?" Murne asked the trolls.
"We have no idea, boss!"
"Suddenly a thunderous noise began to sound out of nowhere!"
"And then the monsters started to flock!"
"We were lucky to get out of there alive, but we don't know where the captain is!"
"Looks like we've been set up by a welcoming committee," Kairi said.
"Well, let's not waste time. The longer this place is here, the more likely the Fallen will escape." Nina said.
"Well, go ahead!" Lanfeust said, lifting his medallion. "For the breath of the Magohamoth...! This..." He began to think of a power that might be useful for the occasion.
"How about one that shoots or something?" Rena asked, preparing his bow.
"Good idea! By the breath of the Magohamoth, shooting power!" Lanfeust shouted, and soon on his arm appeared what looked like a cannon covering half his forearm, with marks similar to that of the medallion. "Great!"
"Does this... hurt?" Kairi asked, somewhat worried.
"Of course not!" He said lifting a thumb.
"I'll stay here with these gentlemen in case those things decide to go out," Loygod said.
"I'll stay too in case the flies," C'ian said.
"Well, let's not wait any longer! Let's go night-night!" he said Hebus preparing his weapon.
"Murne, you go first," C'ixi said.
"I assumed so." She said and began to move toward the building.
The group moved slowly forward toward the building, looking around with their weapons ready.
"Even in daylight, this place creeps you." C'ixi said.
"Right," Edea said. "To know what we'll find here."
"Don't worry! Whatever it is, I'll take care of them!" Lanfeust said, posing strange poses with his hand cannon.
"Lanfeust, this isn't the time to fool around, you know?" Kairi said.
"You take it easy, okay? That I control." said the boy.
Rena turned to say something to Lanfeust but then saw the trolls and C'ian in the distance making strange gestures towards them. He soon figured out why and turned around.
"There, look out!"
Rena had located a Licker on the roof above the entrance, along with two stone gargoyles flying near him, while a flock of bats descended on them.
Rena began to fire her arrows of mana against the small Fallen Ones, at the same time that Lanfeust released his new power, throwing a powerful orb of energy, in exchange for falling backward by the force of the shot, but at least dissipated most of Bats.
"Good shot, but don't use so much energy next time!" Kairi said, beating the nearest bats.
"Okay, okay, I'll handle it," Lanfeust said, rising.
The Licker threw his tongue at Kairi, but fortunately, Hebus grabbed it with his hand. "Not so fast, you're not licking anyone today." Then he pulled him down, hitting him hard against the ground, and topped him with his mallet.
Rena, on the other hand, saw the opportunity and fired his arrows of mana against the two stone gargoyles before they came down for them, getting rid of both.
"Okay, let's move on," C'ixi said, after destroying the last Bat.
"From here, a lot of eyes, okay?" Kairi said, advancing to the door.
When the group was standing in front of the door, the door opened unannounced, and several Zombies and Skeletons came out to greet them.
"What a welcome," Edea said, beheading several zombies at once.
"The welcoming committee apparently," Rena commented, shooting several of the Skeletons.
After finishing with the small group, they entered in, seeing the great technological level that had at least the first room, and when crossing the nearest door, several Soldier Skeletons ran towards them, but fortunately, Rena and Lanfeust, who began to control the weapon better, finished them in time.
"Better take care of those things before they get any closer," Rena said. "If you can attack from a distance, do it."
"We'll keep that in mind," Kairi said.
"I want them to come closer, they'll see." He said Hebus.
"Trolls..." Nina shook her head.
The group continued to advance through several of the halls, dispatching the Fallen who surprised them along the way.
"Do you know anything about this place?" Edea asked Murne.
"All I know is what that fairy said. It was a laboratory created by a maniac scientist from another world to experiment with local life and create monsters with it." the woman explained.
"A manic scientist? I think I have an idea who this is." Rena said, thinking of a certain being that operates through a robot.
"We'll soon enter the last room where you can access the pass to go down to the basement," Murne said.
"And how far down do we have to go?" Lanfeust asked.
"The main lab where Thanos is down, but we have to go downstairs to access the door behind where Thanos and Airy are, and next to that room is the monster we're creating."
"So we have to get to the staircase for the basement, after crossing this whole floor to get to that staircase, huh? A little convoluted, I'd say." Kairi commented.
"Well, if we run into that machine again, we tell him," Rena said.
"Do you know who created this place?" Nina asked.
"Let's just say he's not on our best friends list," Edea replied.
After opening the door to the room before the stairs, they were surprised by several bipedal reptiles with huge claws and sharp teeth (Hunter), one of them jumping over Edea, who instinctively stepped aside to avoid being torn by the new Fall, but fortunately C'ixi manages to retain the monster with his staff, giving Kairi time to destroy him from behind.
"One of those created here?" Rena asked, beginning to fire his mana arrows at the two remaining Hunters in the room, but these were really quick to elude the arrows.
"Obviously," Murne replied, drawing his swords. "But they're more complicated to deal with."
Nina created several blocks of ice with her magic that fell on the Hunters, but C'ixi manipulated the blocks with her ice power to freeze at least one of them, which was blown up by a Kairi Fira, but the other one jumped straight into it. Luckily Lanfeust managed to destroy it with a heavy gunshot to the head.
Breathing heavily from the impression, Kairi looked up at Lanfeust. "Thank you, Lanfeust."
"It was nothing."
"Come on, we have to get down as soon as possible, understand?"
Murne opened the door leading to the first stairwell, which was a circular room with spiral stairs running down to the bottom. What they found there, the truth was not at all pleasant, since they found a large group of Zombies by the stairs.
"A ladder full of zombies, how original," he said Hebus sarcastically.
"Yes,' how original,' said Hebus-in-the-laboratory," Edea said to Hebus, returning the sarcasm.
"Okay, you got me there."
"We'd better clean the room before we continue," Rena said, beginning to fire his arrows at the Fallen.
"They're not exactly the ones I care about," Murne replied after beheading several zombies.
"And what do you mean?" Lanfeust asked, shooting several of the Fallen.
Then C'ixi peered up the stairs. "Does this have anything to do with a red zombie with claws?"
Some also peered out, noting that on the ground floor, there was a special Zombie that was completely red with bright white eyes and sharp claws on his hands and feet (Crimson Head). The creature roared when it saw them.
"Well, he's uglier than the other zombies. Whoa whoa whoa whoa! Are you watching that?!" Edea warned, watching the Red Head leap out of his seat, climbing up the stairs at an alarming speed past the slow Zombies.
"That thing is too fast! Take her down, quickly!" C'ixi shouted, watching the Red Head approach them at full speed.
Rena and Lanfeust began to shoot the Fallen as they could, but he resisted the shots and attacked with his claws, but Kairi blocked him with his sword key while Nina conjured a ball of fire to incinerate the Fallen while Hebus rolled it, running over and burning the other Zombies.
"What the hell is that thing?!" Kairi asked.
"A Crimson Head," Murne replied. "A mutation of the zombies we made using what we had here."
"I don't know why, but I have a feeling that everything we see here ends up finding them in other worlds..." Kairi commented, knowing that the Fallen are living nightmares, and the monsters there give for several nightmares.
Soon to clean the whole room, they came down the stairs, arriving at what was a small antechamber. When they opened the door, they found themselves inside a large room with a huge computer with a huge screen on a wall in the room and a door at the back of it, but inside they found two people.
"Thanos!" Lanfeust shouted, looking at the masked man as Airy flew near him.
"Looks like you've finally come this far, with a little help, I guess," Thanos said. "Though in all the possibilities I've glimpsed in the plan, I never thought a group of girls could intrude there."
"Stop playing games, Thanos. We have important things to do, like destroying your creature." the boy replied.
"I can't let you ruin everything, not before the creature is complete." Then Thanos looked at Murne. "And you should have chosen your loyalty better, Murne."
"My loyalty has always been to you, Captain, but I've never trusted that fairy! He sent those monsters after me!"
"So you admit that you were the Eckmül of your own free will to tell them about our plans? That sounds like treason to me, don't you think, Thanos?" Airy said.
"Don't listen to her, Thanos! Even though she has betrayed you, Airy has betrayed you too, since she did not warn you of Murne's action and simply sent the Fallen to get her! That's his way of acting!" Edea said. "He's probably told you something about the recent attack on the city, not to mention all the details!"
"Silence!" Thanos shouted. "I don't have time for these pointless disputes. I wanted to wait for the monster to finish Lanfeust and get the medallion, but now that he's here, for the dragon's blood, I'll take it myself!" The masked man drew a sword of bones from the gauntlet in his arm.
"Well, that's an idea," Airy said.
"But Captain, she also wants the medallion for herself!" Murne warned.
"Murne, stay back," Kairi said to the pirate.
"But-"
"He's right! We won't be able to convince him otherwise as long as Airy is here, and because of your loyalty to him, you won't be able to fight him." Rena said.
"Yeah, you'd better stay behind. We take care of everything." C'ixi said.
Murne glanced at Thanos for a moment and began to retreat until he was behind the group.
"Better to focus on Thanos. I doubt that fairy is a problem." Lanfeust said, pointing his weapon at Thanos, but suddenly the weapon disappeared, leaving the medallion in his hand. "Oh, ops."
"What a coincidence to be deactivated!" C'ixi said, looking at the boy.
"Anyway, it'll be a seven against one, piece of cake."
"'Seven against one,' says the brat," Airi said with a low laugh. "It's time to teach you that on many occasions, appearances deceive." Then the fairy began to generate a great deal of dark power in her. When that darkness disappeared, where the fairy was, there was now a huge creature that looked like an insect shell floating in the air.
"Wha!" It was almost the whole group's reaction after seeing the new shape of Airy.
"And I thought the other way was ugly," Rena said.
"Do fairies really do that?" Lanfeust asked, pointing to Airy.
"As far as I know, she's the only one," Edea replied, undisturbed by the fairy's change.
"Whatever, it'll be like breaking a piñata." The troll responded with optimism.
Without warning, some parts of Airy's new body moved, starting to generate electric orbs over the group.
"Watch out!" Edea shouted, causing everyone to avoid the lightning that the orbs had become.
"Not all pinatas fight back, Hebus," C'ixi replied, looking where the lightning struck.
"It's not to be pessimistic, but how do we take care of both at the same time?" Nina asked, seeing the threat in front of them.
"We'll take care of Thanos, okay?" Lanfeust suggested.
"I wouldn't underestimate the situation if I were you, brat." the masked man replied.
"We'll see about that," Kairi said, throwing a Thundara at Thanos to remove him from the middle, but he disappeared before the impact. When he wanted to know what happened, he was already at his side ready to attack with his sword, but Edea blocked the attack. Apparently, this enemy could be teleported, which now made him a threat similar to the power of Airy.
"¡GODFERDOM!" the troll shouted as he attacked Thanos, forcing him to retreat.
The current situation was very simple now: Lanfeust, C'ixi, and Hebus should contain Thanos; while Kairi, Edea, Rena, and Nina dealt with Airy. As long as they did not support each other, there would be no more problems than there are currently.
Rena began firing arrows at Airy, but the shell seemed to mitigate the above-mentioned arrows, but at the same time, Edea and Kairy ran toward her, cutting the distance between them, but the fairy-now-converted-in-a-cocoon attacked invoking fireballs against them, forcing them to retreat. Spike-shaped ice began to form around him, starting to aim at the three, but before he could shoot them, several fireballs struck the three of them, melting the ice.
"I didn't do it," Kairi said, confused.
"I'll take care of it," Nina said from behind, and she threw the fireballs.
"It's not bad for a member of the winged tribe, but your luck has run out!" Airy exclaimed, beginning to form earth stakes in the ground forward.
All four avoided the attack of earth stakes, and while Rena was shooting several arrows at Airy from one direction, Edea hurried and began to attack one side of the shell with her katana, while Nina invoked a lightning bolt that struck the cocoon, causing her not to be able to focus on one side.
In his case, Kairi was thinking of ways to damage Airy's tough shell, but he could not help but see the battle between Lanfeust, C'ixi, and Hebus against Thanos. On this occasion, the boy now seemed to wear a sword made of glass with a pair of similarly designed wings, bumping into Thanos' bone sword.
"You can't beat this time, brat!"
"Don't you understand, Thanos? You're being used, you're just a puppet to her. That thing just wants the medallion for itself."
"No one will have the medallion but me, and if they try to betray me, they will know my wrath!" Thanos exclaimed, pushing Lanfeust back, though he had to avoid the attacks of C'ixi and Hebus who supported Lanfeust at all times.
Knowing that he should not waste his time, Kairi returned to his combat, thinking of ways to damage Airy's shell.
"I' M SICK OF IT!" Airy shouted and began to generate energy in front of her, turning to Edea, exclaiming with fright, and leaped aside, avoiding a huge ray of fire that managed to melt part of the steel wall.
"Whoever hits that is a goner," Lanfeust said as he watched the destruction of the attack, returning to reality by blocking an attack from Thanos.
The thing looked ugly and Airy could launch an attack that melted the steel, which made it clear that they should avoid standing in front of her if she attacked with it. Kairi thought it would be best to use the Shiva form to counteract the fire with ice, but then he noticed that Airy seemed to have some problems with the burning areas of the section of the attack. A being who uses a powerful fire attack, but can't stand fire? That's a very rare thing, but if maybe...
Rena started shooting more arrows, but this time moving around to distract the cocoon, while Nina continued to use her spells to counteract Airy's magic with her own, but it seemed like a very complicated attack as she constantly summoned spells. For his part, Edea began to strike swords from all sides, trying to penetrate his defense.
"Seriously, is that the best you can do?" Airy asked, nearly taunting them.
"Of course not!" Kairi exclaimed, leaping over her, but in the form of Ifrit, stabbing a mighty thrust with her Keyblade imbued on fire, a blow that seemed to have severely affected him.
Soon Edea hit her forehead with her hand with a moan. "I'm a fool. Forget she's weak to fire!"
"Well, get ready for the next thing!" Rena said, soon firing his arrow in the shape of a phoenix of fire, impacting directly on the cocoon, causing even more damage.
Despite the attacks, Airy continued to conjure up spells of fire, ice, thunder, and earth against them, trying to stop them, but fortunately, Nina conjured up a huge curtain of fire in the form of an animal that completely covered the cocoon, stopping it in its attacks, giving Kairi the opportunity to generate an orb of fire at the tip of her sword wrench and strike a direct blow at Airy.
When the unloading ended, the cocoon fell to the ground and turned back into its fairy form, telling it to move with its limbs, but being able to fly with its wings.
"Damn it, this can't be happening." Cursed the fairy, breathing heavily
"You should stop it now, Airy. You've already lost." Kairi said, but Kairi turned, blocking an attack from the blade of Thanos who appeared behind her.
"You may have beaten her, but I'm still standing," Thanos said coldly.
"Hey, leave her and fight me, Thanos!" Lanfeust said.
Thanos was going to answer him, when suddenly an alarm started ringing, causing red flashes all over the room.
"WARNING. ALL COMPUTER SYSTEMS COMPROMISED. GOLIATH CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS COMPROMISED. SECURITY SYSTEMS COMPROMISED. POSSIBILITY OF INVOLUNTARY ACTIVATION OF GOLIATH 100%. ALL SECURITY PERSONAL REPORT TO THE GOLIATH ROOM FOR CONTAINMENT AND REST OF PERSONAL EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY."
"What's going on?" Thanos asked.
"It wasn't me, I swear!" Lanfeust exclaimed immediately.
"I think it was my fault," Kairi said, looking at the shattered computer. "But I think we just activated the Goliath by accident. If we don't do something, Troy will be destroyed."
"We must stop it as soon as possible!" Rena looked at Thanos, but he simply turned to Lanfeust.
"This isn't over, brat," Thanos said and simply disappeared, followed by Murne who left the room.
"Great, now what?" C'ixi asked.
"Well, we look for the Goliath and destroy him before he does anything," Edea said.
"And where is he? We can't ask the computer because it's broken." Nina reasoned.
"For there is only one way forward!" Lanfeust said, beginning to run through the only door they haven't used yet. And being the only reasonable option now, they decided to follow him.
It did not take long for them to reach a huge hall, where they found a gigantic being covered in black armor and bandages on arms and legs, with part of the helm acting as a jaw and shining green eyes (Goliat), furiously roaring towards the newcomers.
"WARNING. STRUCTURE OF PHYSICAL SYSTEMS COMPROMISED. COMPLEX AND SECURITY SYSTEM COMPROMISED. SELF-DESTRUCT SYSTEM ACTIVATED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. ALL PERSONAL MUST EVACUATE THE FACILITY IMMEDIATELY."
That last alarm made it clear that they didn't have much time, but if they left the Goliath intact, even if the place did explode, it could be a threat, so they had to stop it here and now.
"All right, Goliath, let's get it over with!" Kairy said, ready with the others for the final fight.
The Goliath began to walk with strong steps toward the group, but Rena and Nina began to use what they had against him without much success, but Lanfeust, using the wings that were now on his back, flew toward the head of the Fallen One and began to strike him, irritating him more but causing him to go toward him. At the same time, Hebus took a huge leap to his head, striking him hard with the mallet, causing the giant to stagger without falling, giving Rena more time to fire his arrows at his possible weak points while Nina summoned lightning strikes against the Goliath's armor, supporting Lanfeust from the air.
"We must help too!" C'ixi said, but Edea stopped her.
"Are you crazy? Did you see how huge it is? He'd crush us too soon!"
"So what do we do?"
"Wait for the moment!" Kairi said, throwing Ifrit-powered Firas at the giant.
After several blows from the air, the Goliath went to punch Lanfeust and Nina, who fortunately avoided the blow, causing it to hit the wall, causing part of the ceiling to fall along with some pieces of the walls. That blow left the force of the Fallen obvious, so it was better to take a blow.
Although it was foolish to try, Hebus began hitting the Goliath's legs with his mallet trying to make him fall, but obviously, it was very complicated by his endurance, and at the same time the giant seemed to ignore him completely.
"Doesn't he use his head?" Edea asked C'ixi, who shrugged in response.
Obviously, the fight was going on long enough between the blows from the air and the sky, trying to overthrow the huge Fallen One, until he bent down to extend his arm to catch Kairi, but he leaped to one side avoiding the grip, his hand colliding with the ground. That occasion was seized by both Edea and C'ixi to hit their hand with what they had, trying to damage it as much as possible to prevent it from being used again, Kairi freezing her hand with a Blizzara, but she knew that the ice wouldn't last long, and time didn't help, unaware when everything could explode. It was necessary to end the Goliath NOW.
The only option was to concentrate all his fire magic on the tip of the sword wrench and knock on his head with forcefulness, but he could not approach him while he was now in his sight.
"I need you to distract him as much as you can!" Kairi said, beginning to focus his magic on his weapon.
"Leave it to me!" Hebus shouted, leaping to the Fallen's shoulder and began banging his head with the mallet to make him turn to it and use his other hand to try to grab it.
At the same time, Rena started shooting arrows at her head so that she didn't concentrate on one side, at the same time that Lanfeust and Nina were using everything they had against the huge monster. C'ixi and Edea as they tried not to let the hand move as they could, although C'ixi's freezing power reinforced the ice on the enormous hand considerably.
When she was ready, Kairi leaped over the huge arm and hurriedly began to run across the huge arm trying to get to the head as soon as possible. When she turned to face it, Kairi had already leaped close and managed to hit him with his weapon to the head, causing a strong explosion that sent the giant to the wall, causing him to fall to the ground inert by the power of the explosion in the head.
Soon they saw that he was beginning to show signs of fading, but they didn't have time to see him disappear since they had to get out of there as soon as possible, but unfortunately, they didn't have time to get out in time. Although...
"Everybody, get together and hold on!" Lanfeust shouted.
There was no time to lose and everyone joined a group holding each other, as Lanfeust landed and undoes his final transformation, medallion in hand.
"What are you going to do?" Kairi asked.
"Wait, you're not thinking about-" C'ixi started.
"By the breath of the Magohamoth, power of teleport!" Lanfeust shouted, lifting up his medallion, soon disappearing from the room.
Outside, C'ian and Lignolio had to calm trolls who were worried about the noise the lab was making, not knowing what was going on. Soon they saw the group suddenly appear near them.
"Lanfeust, what's going on?" C'ian asked.
"EVERYBODY HIT THE GROUND!" Kairi shouted, throwing himself on the ground.
Seeing that everyone was doing it, C'ian and Loygod threw themselves to the ground too, not knowing what was going to happen, although the trolls did not pay any attention, because of their eternal ignorance.
"What's going on?" one of the confused trolls asked.
Unannounced, the response came with a violent explosion that volatile the lab into a ball of fire, causing a shock wave that was strong enough to send more than half of the trolls present to the ground, leaving them stunned by the explosion.
When it was all over, everyone got up, and they could see that where the lab was now, there was only fire.
"Do you think Airy will have survived?" Rena asked.
"Chances are she'd run away before the explosion," Edea said pessimistically.
"And Thanos? Where will he be?" Kairi asked, looking around at his surroundings.
"Captain!" exclaimed one of the trolls looking aside.
Obviously, Thanos was at the side of the clearing, with Murne close by, panting heavily, surely from running all the way to a safe place. With the ruckus before, sure no one noticed that she had left the building. For his part, Thanos seemed ready to continue fighting.
"Not now, Thanos. Can't you see what happened? There was little time left before we exploded with that place." Lanfeust said.
"I don't care about that. I'm going to get the medallion, and now that you're exhausted, it'll be very easy to get hold of it once and for all." the masked man replied.
"I'm sorry, but I won't allow it," Loygod said, preparing his sword.
Before they could do anything, the ground began to tremble, causing everyone else to have trouble standing up except Nina who was flying.
"What's going on? Is he still alive?" C'ixi asked, trying to keep his balance.
"Is what alive?" C'ian asked in the same situation.
As the tremors continued, they saw how the earth began to depart, and soon something big came out of the earth causing a large screen of smoke and earth, but they could see that it was a fist, which then began to emerge until it came out of the ground completely. When the smoke lifted, they saw that it was not the Goliath. What they saw was a kind of gigantic human being with great musculature, black-haired and brown skin, totally white eyes, dressed in a great white Greek tunic that covered from the waist to the knees and several gold bracelets on wrists and ankles. The gigantic being growled as he bowed his head causing a crunchy neck.
"What the hell is this huge guy?" Lanfeust asked, dumbfounded.
"He's free from the curse of Goliath!" Thanos exclaimed.
"For all the stars," Hebus exclaimed, soon bowing on his knees and bowing his head, confusing everyone, and even more so when the trolls did the same. "I never thought I'd see him in my life."
"Hebus, do you know who this big guy is?" C'ixi asked.
"It's Titan," Hebus answered and lifted his head and looked at the enormous creature. "Master of the earth and tunnels, and a troll deity. He is one of the six masters of the ancient elements."
"The masters of the elements, you don't mean the Eidolons?" Nina asked, looking in her book.
"Is this gigantic being an Eidolon? Wait, wait a minute." Kairi said and looked at Thanos. "Have you turned an Eidolon into a Fallen?"
"It was the fairy's idea, you must know," Murne replied.
"It doesn't matter now. It doesn't matter who has to go through, but I promise you by the dragon's blood that the medallion will be -" Without warning, Titan stepped on the floor, causing a column of stone to form where Thanos was, sending him flying through the air. "MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Soon Thanos disappeared from everyone's sight in the sky.
"Captain, wait for us!" shouted the trolls and they began to run after Thanos, soon followed by Murne, who was terrified by Titan's power.
"Wow, that's what I call a throwing stomp," Lanfeust exclaimed, seeing how far the masked man was flying.
Soon everyone looked at Titan who, after several seconds of uncomfortable silence, the giant knelt down and looked at the group. "Though my memories are confused, I owe it to you to be free again. Thank you," Titan said with a voice that echoed throughout the area.
"It was nothing, really," Lanfeust said, with a hand on his head and a smile in his mouth.
"What was nothing, you say?" Edea asked, reminding him with his eyes of what has happened since they entered the now-exploited building.
"What? It's nothing we wouldn't do if it wasn't necessary, right?"
"I must go now." Titan interrupted.
"Go? Now?" Hebus asked.
"Because of my former state, I am very weak, and I must return to my world to regain strength." The earthen Eidolon rose, clashing his hands. "But you, little one, I think this will come in handy." From his hands came a brown orb of light that flew to Kairi, entering her.
"What was that?" Lanfeust asked Titan, but, inexplicably, he had already disappeared without a trace. "Okay..."
Time later in Eckmül, the group was in a large white and golden chamber with two platforms, an inferior one where the whole world was, and an elevated one connected to some stairs, where three people sat on three thrones, two elders and a young man in the center. Kairi, Edea, Rena, and Kairi stood on the stairs with the others behind them, looking up at the three nobles.
Soon the one in the middle spoke. "I am Averroes the Venerable, member of the council of sages. It has come to our ears that you have put an end to the threat of creatures.
"That's right. And I just hope this doesn't happen again." Kari said with a nod.
"I think it's only fair that this achievement is celebrated in your honor for saving us from this dark threat that, it seems, was caused by Thanos himself."
"True, but I don't think he'll do it again, for his own good," Rena said.
"What's that, young lady?" Averroes asked.
"Okay." She blushed a little bit when she called you young lady. Obviously, if he knew her age, he would change my mind. "I have the ability to feel the aura of some people, and I felt Thanos' aura. And I think I know who's behind that mask." That response surprised everyone.
"You know what's under that mask?!" Lanfeust asked. "Then why don't you say it?!"
"You see, I'd rather give him a vote of confidence."
"Confidence?" Edea asked.
"Yes. If he is present or there is a spy of his nearby, let him know that if Thanos tries to use the Fallen again, or another similar creature, I will not bite my tongue." She said with a smile winked at Averroes, the only one who saw him.
He made a surprised face opening his eyes wide but soon returned to his temperance. "I hope those words reach Thanos and I pray he understands the reality of this situation."
"I don't doubt that!"
"Rena, I don't know what to say," Kairi said to Rena.
"Let's just say we're done here," Rena said. "Better get back to Eve."
"Are you leaving already?" Lanfeust asked.
"Yes, that's right," Edea said as the girls turned to him. "We're just passing through, remember.
"You're right, Lanfeust," Nicolède said. "Though I would like to know more about their worlds and cultures, they have more important matters to attend to elsewhere."
"Yes, that's right," Kairi said and looked at Nina. "And what are you going to do, Nina?"
"Well, I was thinking about going on with my study trip, although fighting alongside you has reminded me of my old days. If I could, I'd go with you."
"Why don't you come?" Edea asked.
"Edea, we're already tight enough to have a fifth on the Gummi ship," Rena said.
"Well, if you say it for what's in front of you." Edea joked.
"I beg your pardon?!" Rena asked after the joke.
The two started arguing, while Kairi laughed at the situation, soon accompanied by Nina. When he stopped laughing, Kairi looked at Nina for a moment, soon communicating with Eve.
"Eve, go find another planet with reform material. I think we'll have another traveling companion."
"Understood, but let's make she the last one, okay? I doubt I can make any further alterations to the ship."
