When Ember woke up, she groaned hearing the front door being knocked on. Her body ached. Her head hurt. Everything screamed at her to stay in bed and go back to sleep. But the damned knocking wouldn't stop!

She forced herself out of the bed but then saw that someone was in her room. It was him. She gulped seeing him. He grinned seeing her aware of his presence. "You may want to get the door princess." He told her.

She heard the door being slammed on by now.

Now she was scared of getting the door. It was like he knew what the people on the other side wanted to see her for. "Oh. And be careful what you say." He warned her putting a finger to his lips.

She held herself as she headed to the door to answer it.

Standing there was Poe, two officers, and that Kim woman. "Can we come in?" Poe asked softly, he looked at her so worriedly. This scared her even more. "Um... What is this about?" She asked, hiding behind the door.

She was scared the bastard would come out and kill Poe if she let them inside. She really liked Poe and didn't want him to get hurt. But she hoped they saw how scared she was and suspect something was wrong with her.

"You know the man across the street. Mr. Lawrance Sheppard?" Kim asked her. Ember nodded. "Yeah. He lives across the street. He stopped by yesterday morning to offer an ear to talk. I babysit his kids every once in a while." She told them.

She walked out of her house and closed the door before holding herself.

"I'm sorry to inform you that he has been murdered. We need to know if you saw anything strange over there or around last night." Kim informed her. Ember fell against the door.

'My blood lust has been satisfied.'

Those were the bastards words last night. That must be what he meant by that. Tears filled her eyes and she grew pale. Poe quickly went to her, and pulled her into his arms. "I was with Poe." Ember pushed out.

Kim nodded. "He has informed us that he was with you. But you would've been home the time of the murder." Kim told Ember. Ember gripped onto Poe tighter. She looked at him with her big watery green eyes. Seeing this, made Poe want to hold her close and kiss away her fears and tears.

But he was on the clock, and in front of his boss. So, he was only able to hold her close to comfort her.

"We have reasons to believe that this was the same person who killed your sister. But we don't have everything to one hundred percent say that it's the same man." Kim told Ember. Ember wanted to tell her that she already knew it was the same person.

That they were in the house already. That he has found her again, has assaulted her even more and worse than the very first time. But her mouth wouldn't let the words out of her mouth.

She was terrified to think of what would happen if she told them. She couldn't let anyone else be killed all because of her. She's already caused enough blood shed. Including her own. She couldn't give more.

She wished she could give them a warning. But she didn't know if HE was watching. If HE was listening in to the conversation. She just didn't know.

What she did know was that she was tired of this sick and twisted game he was playing. That she wanted it all to end.

She looked at Poe for a moment, before looking at Kim. "I didn't see or hear anything. When Detective Dameron dropped me off, I fed my kitten, took a shower, and then went to bed. I was pretty tired." She told the woman.

Her eyes noticed movement and looked over at Lawrance's home and saw them carrying the body out. Her eyes widened seeing this. She covered her mouth. "I need to go lay down." She mumbled through her hand.

The officers nodded. "We will contact you soon. But please be ready. We may need to move you." Kim told her. She couldn't stay any longer and bolted back inside. Rushing to the bathroom, she threw up into the toilet.

She didn't feel HIS presence until he moved her hair away and rubbed her back. "You shouldn't have walked outside. Then you wouldn't have seen that. You poor sweet thing." He purred to her.

She looked at him. "You killed him." She wasn't asking. He just smiled at her smugly. "I did. I sliced him up. Cut him in places where he would bleed out slowly. So I could play with him more. It was so much fun playing with him. You know. If you had looked back at his house, you would've seen him. He was banging on the window for help. I busted his windpipes, so he couldn't scream." He told her.

His words making her throw up once more.

He would have to toughen her up to these sorts of things.

"Please." She begged softly. He looked down at her with a raised eyebrow. "Please what pet?" He asked. "Please just kill me. I can't keep going with all of what you are doing. I hate that you are playing cat and mouse with me. I just want you to kill me and get it over with." She told him moving away to lean against the bath tub.

Her green eyes watching him weakly.

He watched her for a moment before he started laughing.

"Oh, you innocent girl. I will not just use you and then kill you. No. I plan on keeping you. Forever. I have already told you this. You're just not accepting it. I just need to get us a place to hide away to first. Then we will runaway together." He told her.

"Just you wait. It will all be over with soon. Just be my good little girl." He told her. He then went to her and kissed her head, making her flinch. "I will be going now." He told her, then she watched him leave.

She heard the door open then shut, and she started sobbing there on the bathroom floor. She wanted it all to stop.

Why was this happening to her?

Hasn't she been through enough already?
