Opposite Day: A parody of Opposite Day from SpongeBob SquarePants with Total Drama characters.

Noah was on the phone right now, talking with a real estate agent to see if there was an opening anywhere to get out of the apartment.

"You have anything in the range of a struggling college student?" He quipped.

"Of course, sir!" The real estate lady answered completely seriously. "We've got many options that can fit your budget."

"Great. I wanna get out of this dump as soon as possible."

"No worries! As long as there's no ant infestation or bothersome neighbors, you'll be out of that apartment in a heartbeat!"

"Yeah, there's no bugs or any- Wait, did you say irritating neighbors..?" The bookworm replied nervously.

"That's right! I can't tell you how many times I've had to cancel a move because of a loud neighbor, especially when they sing."

Noah was silent as he thought, so the agent continued speaking.

"Anyway, I'll stop by tomorrow to check out the house, See you then!" She hung up.

The bookworm sighed as he laid his chin on his hand. "Great. If Ella's anything, she's the opposite of quiet." A realization then struck him, making him smirk. "Huh… Opposite…"

He walked outside with a sheet of foil, wavering it profusely. He tried singing something as best he could, which only came out as stammering.

Ella was about to blow a bubble, but she paused in the middle of a twirl as she looked over. "Are you feeling alright, Noah? It's not often that you leave the apartment when it's not to go to work…" She put the bubble supplies on the ground after tightening the lid for the soap.

"Come on, Ella, don't you know what day it is?" Noah brought up as if something was incredibly obvious.

"Ah… Wednesday, I believe? Why?"

He dramatically gasped. "Ella, it's a lot more than just a normal Wednesday!"

"Oh, my apologies! Then… what day is it?"

"Today's Opposite Day!" He revealed, making the singer get a confused look on her face. "You've never heard of it? You've been missing out! Opposite Day is the one day of the year where you act the opposite of how you normally do! Normally, I'm the boring, snarky, and quiet guy, but today, I'm interesting, patient, and fun-loving."

"Ooh, it sounds quite fun!" Ella clapped close to her chest. "Does everybody know about this holiday?"

"Of course! It's a game. Do you get it yet?"

The songbird nodded, so Noah continued.

"Normally, you're annoying and sing a lot, so today, you'll be…"

"Quiet, out of the way, and speaking like a normal person!" Ella ironically spoke in a sing-song tone.

"Yeah!" The bookworm agreed before dropping his enthusiasm. "Why don't you get started?"

"Su- I mean… no! I hate Opposite Day!" Ella pranced back into the apartment complex while giggling.

Noah sighed in relief once she was gone. "That took way more energy than it should have…" He walked off.

The scene then cut back to the princess in her part of the apartment. She pranced over to her bedroom, waking Mittens up. "Mittens! Today's Opposite Day, and I… walk around, not happily prance. So today, I'll… I mean, I won't…" Ella paused in thought. What would be very unlike her? "Watch a scary TV show!"

She turned on the television to show a cartoon with a pink dog, who jumped at basically everything, just like Ella. "It's unfortunate that this day only comes around once a year."

"Bark!" Mittens replied, making the princess giggle automatically.

"I appre- I mean, I dislike the holiday spirit, puppy!"

Just then, she heard someone knocking at her door. "Oh, a visitor! Who would be visiting someone so late at night?" She shrugged as the camera panned over to a clock that read "1:27 PM."

Ella opened the door and saw her friend Owen waiting for her. "Oh, goodbye!" She greeted, confusing the big guy.

"Wha? Are you busy?" He questioned in return.

"Yes, my, um, un-apologies."

"Oh… Okay." As the lovable oaf turned to leave in disappointment, Ella stopped him in his tracks.

"No, wait! I'm not busy. Today's only Opposite Day!"

"Hey, I remember that! I've done it before!"

"Ooh, you have?" Again, Ella clapped close to her chest.

"No." Owen contradicted himself.

"Oh! Well, today, whatever you normally do, you do the opposite!" Ella cheerfully explained.

"Oh, okay! Let me try!" The food lover reached down for his belt buckle. As it jingled, Ella flushed and stopped him by putting her hands on his shoulders. She giggled.

"Not that opposite, silly! Let's go do things the wrong way."

"Okay, awesome!"

The two ran off to do whatever they felt was incorrect as the scene showed the two doing many things montage-style.

Mittens was sitting at a table, attempting to use a spoon for a container of strawberry yogurt, Ella's favorite snack to have with lunch. There was also a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a plate next to the yogurt.

Owen was seen next to the table, eating from the cat's food dish just like the feline would. "Meow." He burped and held his stomach, seemingly satisfied.

Ella pretended to scratch up Mittens' scratching post, which didn't work too well since she had gloves on, preventing her already short nails from doing anything. "Meow."

Now outside, Ella and Owen blew bubbles, but they sucked the air inwards instead, causing the bubbles to pop in their faces with shocked expressions appearing on their faces once they popped.

Back inside, the singer decided to crack a joke… backwards. "?neves fo diarfa xis saw yhW .newO, yeH" The songbird asked.

"?yhW .onnud I" The food lover answered.

"!enin eta neves esuaceB"

The two laughed at the joke, reversed, of course.

At the end of the montage, Ella and Owen were standing inside of the princess's part of the apartment once again. "Would you like to help me do some work around the house, w-w…" Despite knowing that things were supposed to be the opposite, she couldn't bring herself to call anyone anything mean. "Um, not best friend?"

"Nah, I don't really feel like helping people." Owen replied, making the two both giggle until the scene panned over to Noah.

The bookworm smirked. "Nearly noon, the realtor's almost here, and Ella hasn't been bothersome at all."

Suddenly, some thuds were heard from the princess's part of the apartment. "She keeps this up, and I'm never gonna get out of here." Noah realized.

Noah walked up to her door and knocked on it. The door struggled to open for a bit until the singer somehow managed to get it open with her foot. "Hello- Oh, my bad! Goodbye, Noah!" She giggled into her hands. "Isn't today just the most… dreadful day ever?" She let out a bit more laughter.

"Why is it so loud in here?"

"It seems rather quiet to me." The princess giggled. "We were- um, weren't trying to play a game of Henga! Because it's Opposite Day, Owen was trying to knock it down instead, and it didn't make that noise!"

"Oh, that's just great. Just what I needed to hear."

With a huff of annoyance, the bookworm left the room and went back into his own. Ella and Owen shared a puzzled look as he exited.

"That was quite in character for Noah." Ella mused. "But if he was being sarcastic like he usually says he is, then that means it isn't great. Since today's Opposite Day, would that not be the opposite of the opposite of what he means?"

The princess seemed to confuse herself and Owen with that thought. "Wha?" The big guy questioned.

"In other words, ah, I believe he meant that it truly wasn't great? Do you believe we should apologize?"

"Yeah, probably. How should we though?"

"Ooh, we could bake him a cake that says 'I'm sorry' on it!" The singer excitedly proposed. "To keep the Opposite Day spirit, we could do it in his house if he allows it." She smiled.

"Wow, that's a bad idea!" Owen praised.

For a moment, the princess was confused before remembering. "Alright, we shall head over now then!" She declared.

The scene cut to the two outside of the bookworm's door with baking supplies in their arms. After he heard the knock, he answered. "What do you want now?"

"We wanted to apologize for causing so much noise and irritating you before." Ella explained. In the background, Owen took a spoonful of sugar with the measuring cup and dumped it in his mouth. The singer hadn't seen it, while Noah merely ignored it.

"Yeah, and in my house?" The slimmer boy questioned.

"Well, today is Opposite Day, remember? Besides, on normal days, Sammy tells me that she likes my cake a lot-" Noah raised an eyebrow, but Ella still continued her sentence. "-so I thought you might like one too!"

"I'm gonna assume you meant the food kind." Noah stated plainly. The songbird tilted her head in confusion, but the lazy boy didn't answer her. "Sure, whatever. How bad could you mess this up?" He allowed, stepping aside so the singer and big guy could enter.

Unfortunately, not 30 minutes after he closed the door, the realtor showed up. She knocked on the door, making Noah mutter "great" under his breath before he opened it up.

"Why, hello there, sir! If you'd like to be eligible for the move to go through, then you'll have to tell me everything positive about your apartment."

"Yeah, that'll be a breeze for me." He sarcastically claimed. "I guess the neighbors are nice. It's normally pretty quiet around here too."

As soon as the bookworm mentioned that, loud banging was heard from the other room, followed by some indistinguishable yelling from a masculine voice. A high-pitched "eep" could also be heard from a more feminine one, followed by a "we're alright!"

"What was that?" The realtor asked.

"Probably just my neighbor's cat knocking something over." He replied in a bored tone.

"Um… okay, well, that's more about the living situation, though. What about the place itself?"

"I don't do anything here, so it stays clean. Everything's organized." He shrugged.

"Um, okay… Let's see the rest of your place!"

Noah shrugged and led the woman to the kitchen.

"Oh and he definitely doesn't read!" Owen chimed in, peeking his head out of the kitchen before they entered.

"I don't see what that has to do with anything." The lady commented before turning her head to Noah. "I thought you said you lived alone."

"I do. These are just my neighbors that wanted to bake for me for some reason." The realtor opened her mouth, but the bookworm cut her off before she could reply. "Yes, in my house."

The two entered the kitchen fully, only to see everything as a complete mess. Bags of ingredients were laying across counters, Owen himself had a stain on his shirt, and there was a bit of stuff on the floor. Despite all of this, Ella had managed to keep herself mostly clean somehow.

"Oh, hello there!" Ella greeted with a polite wave and smile. The real estate person looked to the know-it-all with a shocked expression.

"Why is everything the opposite of what you've told me? Your house is a mess, it's not at all quiet around here, and the neighbors are disturbing you."

Ella piped up before he got a chance to speak. "Oh, that's because today's Opposite Day!"

"Opposite Day?" The realtor repeated in a deadpan voice. The singer took this like a real question.

"Mhm! Everything that you would normally do, you do the opposite! That's why our neighbor Owen and I are baking the cake here!" She suddenly burst into song, despite that being what she usually did. "You may keep it moderate, but on this day, you should act the opposite!"

"Is this some kind of a joke?" The woman aggressively asked the scrawny boy, ignoring the sudden musical number.

"No, it's just-" Right at that moment, Owen lost his grip on a spoonful of flour, which managed to hit her in the face.

She gave a deadpan stare at nothing and simply said "I'm outta here."

"Wait!" Noah started.

"Please!" Ella continued.

"Don't leave!" Owen finished, but their pleas fell on deaf ears. The lady slammed the door, prompting the know-it-all to give his two neighbors an angry look.

A ding was heard as the songbird got the cake out of the oven. It looked surprisingly good for how much of a mess the kitchen was. "Would you like some cake to make you feel better?" She offered.

Noah ignored the offer. "Just clean this stuff up and get out of here." He angrily commanded.

"Oh, um, o-okay. Apologies for making things not work out for you…" The bookworm rolled his eyes.

The two got to work on cleaning up as Noah closed the door and went to the living room to sulk in his anger.

A/N: This was one of the hardest episodes we've had to plot. Up there with Ella-Terrestrial, despite how similar to canon this episode was. The first half was very easy. It was the second half where SpongeBob and Patrick claimed they were Squidward that was hard to write. Sorry for making you guys wait nearly a month for this chapter, but the two of us do hope it's enjoyable.
