When she gets home she is exhausted.

A feat considering she hasn't been doing anything else than sitting on a roof most of the day.

But the cat and mouse game, that her ‚teammates' didn't even notice Kakashi started with his introduction, left her mentally drained.

She picked up takeout on the way home and sends a buzz down the seal that keeps her connected to Orochimaru, accompanying it are images of their dinner. He will be there shortly.

True to her estimation, five minutes later Oro opens the door to their apartment, divests himself of his sandals and joins her on the low couch.

Being in each others company again soothes the restlessness that had been building since they separated in the morning. The seal helps and to be hones was probably the reason they even could separate anymore and didn't seem dangerously codependent.

They had informed the Hokage of that little tidbit of course, under a slew of his and more importantly their privacy seals, so that he wouldn't go assigning her charges out of village missions that would take days or even weeks without making sure to send Orochimaru along with them.

Minato hadn't been pleased to learn that two of his best fighters were codependent to such a level, but seeing as they could be apart, if not for long, he would let it rest. He could understand where they came from and they were by far not the only ones with that particular issue, although they probably were the most high-profile ones.
