So sorry for taking so long with this chapter considering I'm trying to balance this story and Path of the shinobi at the same time, along with the planned upcoming Kingdom hearts DxD crossover

Chapter 5: The fairy king of sloth

(Tala village)

In a run down town far off the main road of Britannia lies Tala village, which was left abandoned a long time ago. However, it was a meeting ground for a certain pink hair holy knight and a secret ally he made a pact with. Right now, Gilthunder was standing in an old house, reporting to a young boy, floating in the air in front of a high up window and holding a green pillow in his hands.

"Meliodas, Diane and Ban have come together. And their new companions are stronger than we thought." Gilthunder reported to the floating boy as he looked out the window.

"Hmm. I wonder why they finally decided to take action." The boy wondered about the three sins returning to activity.

"Be careful not to betray the great trust I placed in you...King." Gilthunder said as he revealed the identity of the floating boy to be none other than the grizzly sin of sloth, King, with the tattoo of a bear on his ankle to support the truth that the supposedly dead knight, was very much still alive.

"As long as I achieve the justice I seek, you need not worry about betrayal. And don't worry about your important target, I'll be sure to deliver it for you." King assured as Gilthunder nodded his head in approval, and took his leave by heading towards the door. "Ban, it's time you paid!" The boy said as a need for vengeance burned deep in his heart. While King was plotting his revenge, a dark portal had opened up on the other side of the village, with the dark figure Vanitas had created stepped out.

"My prey will be here soon..It is time for the hunt to begin!" The figure said as it called the chaos ripper keyblade to it's hand in a dark aura, with a certain hero of the keyblade as it's intended victim.

(Many years ago)

" Just a drop on your tongue adds ten years to your life, and a good shallow gives you a hundred more! Drink it all and you live forever! " A younger Ban before he even joined the seven deadly sins or even gained his scar sang as he climbed up a giantanic tree. The younger Ban was a simple bandit where he would travel from place to place, stealing anything that was one of kind, and his newest target was the top of the huge tree as he finally managed to get to the top and looked over the side to see a small pond with pink water flowing out of it, with a glass of the water sitting in the center.

"Hahaha! A miracle treasure guarded by a holy woman, the fountain of youth. And anyone who chugs the water flowing out of that cup gets a nice dose of immortality, huh? Aw man, talk about blowing things out of proportion. I don't even see any old bag guarding any miracles around here." Ban said as he looked around the treetop, until he looked next to him to see a small blonde girl wearing a white dress looking up at him, who Ban swore wasn't there a second ago. "Um...What's up little girl? You lost or something?"

"I'm here guarding the spring."The girl said as she began floating up to be eye level with Ban. "Protecting it from bandits like you." The girl said before she waved her hand and a powerful gust of wind blew off the top of the tree.

"WHOOOOAAAA, SHHHHHHHHHIIITTTTTTTT!"

(Present day)

*THUMP!*

"Ouch…" Ban groaned after falling out of his bed and onto the floor and a bottle from a nearby shelf fell upon his head. After his hard landing, Ban stood up and yawned before walking over to the window to look out, expecting it to be a simple sunny morning, only to be proven wrong. "The hell is going out there?" He questioned as he looked out to see Sora, Ryuko, and Satsuki fighting a horde of neoshadows and armored knights.

(Music: Swingin' free)

"I just wanted a normal breakfast this morning, but no! The heartless had to show up and take Hawk!" Sora complained as he dodged an Armored knight's attack and then countered with his keyblade to destroy the heartless while said talking pig was tied upside down over a bonfire.

"HELP! THEY'RE GONNA COOK ME!" Hawk pleaded for help as a few flame cores and soldiers were standing around the bonfire with hungry looks on their faces, before the flame cores spewed a few fireballs to light a fire under the pig. "NOT AGAIN!"

"Who would've thought these guys had a thing for ham?" Ryuko said before she guarded against a neoshadow's claw swipe. As Hawk was being cooked, Sora transformed his keyblade into the double arrowguns and shot out a barrage of Blizzaga bullets at the bonfire and froze the heartless around it and put out the fire, unfortunately for Hawk, he was now half frozen.

"T-T-T-Thanks for the f-f-f-freezer burn, j-j-j-jerk!" Hawk shuttered.

"Sorry.." Sora apologized before he turned around to shoot a neoshadow that lunged at him before a few armored knights also jumped at him with their blades ready to strike, only for Meliodas to suddenly appear and kick the trio of heartless alway.

"Hey! Good morning, everyone!" Meliodas said with his usual smile, even though he was currently tied up in rope before he turned to Ryuko. "You and Hawk make a pretty good rope tie, I slept like a baby!"

"It was for Elizabeth's own good, not your comfort, you prev." Ryuko said she used the scissor blade to cut the rope holding Meliodas, freeing his arms.

"Don't worry, I wasn't even planning on bothering her." Meliodas claimed before he punched an attacking neoshadow so hard that it exploded into dark particles. "This time anyway…"

"We'll deal with you later." Satsuki said before she sent out a wave of crescent energy towards a group of heartless and sliced through them with the energy wave.

"Hey! Where's Diane? We could really use her right now." Sora said as he shot magic bullets at any heartless that rushed at him while wondering where the giantess currently was.

"Well, today's tuesday, so she's most likely having the bacon dream again and tends to sleep in." Meliodas said as he grabbed an armored knight's blade before tossing the heartless away into another. "Also, they're taking Hawk away again."

"HELP ME ALREADY! I'M GONNA BE THESE GUYS BREAKFAST!" Hawk shouted for help as he was being carried off by a pair of flutterlings, however, Ban had appeared and jumped into the air to snanch hawk out of the heartless' grip in time to save him.

"Hey, what kinda weird morning routine is this?" Ban said as he held onto Hawk.

"Oh, hey, Ban. Morning!" Meliodas causally greeted despite having a neoshadow in a headlock.

"Hey, think you give us a hand, or are you still having a hangover?" Ryuko questioned as she slashed a heartless in two.

"I actually haven't a hangover in forever, but I think I can spare a moment or two." Ban said as he released Hawk and then turned around to kick an armored knight into the air, allowing Sora to shoot a firaga bullet at the airborne heartless and destroy it. "This might actually be a little fun!"

"I don't think he's right in the head." Sora commented as he observed Ban's overeagerness for fighting and was a little worried he might go overboard, but that worry was soon put aside when a rock troll heartless suddenly appeared.

"He's a big one." Meliodas noted as the rock troll stomped closer.

"So he's got a little size like Diane, I betcha he ain't as fast-" Ban thought before he was proven wrong as the rock troll suddenly smashed it's axe into the fox sin and sent him crashing into several trees.

"Oh shit! There's no way he's getting up after that!" Ryuko said, believing that Ban may have had several broken bones from the attack, only to see the bandit get up from the attack unscahed.

"Damn! I was wrong about him being fast." Ban said, rubbing his head like nothing happened.

"What the?! How are you okay?!" Sora asked.

"Oh yeah, did I not mention I'm unkillable?" Ban asked as the rock troll jumped into the air and stomped on the fox sin with tremendous force, only to see that Ban was still very much alive. "Still kicking big guy!"

"Great, another nut job like everyone else." Hawk commented as Ryuko and Satsuki gave him threatening glares.

"Are you trying to say something?" Satsuki asked as Hawk began sweating bullets.

"Nope! I take that back!" Hawk said not wanting to end over another fire while Sora combined his arrowguns into the magic launcher and shot a magic sphere at the rock troll while it was still scratching its head and was struck in the back by a pulse of condensed magic and turned around to target the keyblade wielder and the others around him.

"That got his attention." Meliodas as he drew the dragon handle for the large heartless approaching.

"I can't watch!" Hawk said as he covered his eyes as the rock troll got closer.

"Hey! Ugly!" A familiar voice called out with a stomp as the rock troll then turned around to see Diane had arrived and was cracking her knuckles. "How about you pick on someone your own size?" Diane said as the rock troll roared to accept the challenge and then charged at Diane to swing it's axe at the giantess, only for her to catch the weapon with her hands and began pushing back against the heartless.

"About time she stopped sleeping in!" Ryuko said as Sora aimed the magic launcher at the rock troll.

"Can't say I blame her, I'd do the same thing." Sora said before he charged up the launcher and unleashed a powerful projectile that exploded upon contact with the rock troll's back and caused it to stumble, leaving it open for Diane.

"Gotcha now!" Diane said as she pulled the axe out of the rock troll's hand and then pick up the heartless by the shoulders and began spinning around a few times before letting go and tossing the rock troll a far distance away into the woods, and the defeat of the heartless was confirmed when a crystalline heart could been seen floating upwards in the distance.

(Music stops)

"And stay out of here!" Diane said as she dusted her hands while Sora and Meliodas pulled on Ban's arms to remove him from the imprint the heartless had stomped him into.

"That's more like it. Now I need a drink." Ban said as he stretched his arms before walking back towards the boar hat.

"Isn't it a little early for you to be drinking?" Ryuko asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Better than eating the captain's awful cooking." Ban said.

"Well, if you don't like it, maybe you should make it yourself." Meliodas suggested as Ban smiled at the challenge.

"Well, now that you mention it…Hey, spiky haired kid." Ban said to Sora.

"Huh? Me?" Sora said, pointing to himself.

"Cap told me that you know a little bit about cooking, help me whip up some breakfast why don't 'cha?" Ban said.

"Uh...okay.." Sora said as he followed the bandit inside the tavern.

"We better make sure he doesn't trick Sora into putting anything alcoholic in the food." Satsuki said.

"Oh yeah, totally." Meliodas agreed.

"I prefer to have my meat untainted." Diane commented as Elizabeth then emerged from the front door of the boar hat, still wearing bandages on her face from the beetle attack.

"Oh, good morning everyone. Is something going on?" Elizabeth asked.

"Nah, just some heartless we had to take care of before breakfast." Ryuko answered.

"Oh, that explains all that rumbling. Oh, I'm also embarrassed to ask, but has anyone maybe seen my bras, they seemed to have disappeared." Elizabeth said as Ryuko, Satsuki and Diane gave Meliodas angry glares, knowing he was the culprit.

"Doesn't anyone want to know what I've at least done with them?"

(Later, inside)

"Well, I guess today we head for the necropolis. We'll start looking for King there." Meliodas said as he pointed at a map of their destination, Tala village, where the capital of the dead was also located.

"Hold on, didn't you say fatty was six feet under these days?" Ban asked as he and Sora were preparing food behind the counter.

"It's our only lead, so we might as well check it out."

"You think King is alive, don't you?" Sora said as he put a giant plate meat on the open window for Diane to take.

"How are you sure, Sora?" Elizabeth asked.

"It might be because of the posters. If King was truly dead, then why haven't the holy knights taken them down?" Satsuki questioned.

"So, we might be walking into a trap?" Ryuko said as Satsuki nodded.

"It might have something do with the necropolis we're traveling to."

"The city of the dead sounds scary. What kind of place is it?" Elizabeth questioned.

"No idea. Honestly, the only thing I know about it, is that it exists." Meliodas admitted that he was curious about the necropolis as well.

"Guys, if you ask me, it's probably haunted with a spooky name like that. Bet it's gloomy and dark all the time with rows and rows of creepy graves everywhere!" Hawk said as he trembled with fear as Elizabeth became frightful as well.

"There won;t be any bugs, right?" Diane asked as her phobia took over.

"The underworld isn't that bad, right?" Sora asked as the sins and Elizabeth looked at him in confusion before Sora realized he slipped up.

"The what now?" Meliodas asked.

"Sora, you mean the necropolis, right?" Elizabeth asked.

"Uh...Yeah! Of course I did! I mean, what's a graveyard compared to the home of the heartless anyway?" Sora corrected himself.

"You mean to tell us you were in those monsters' homes and got out alive?" Hawk asked.

"Yeah, at least three times."

"THREE TIMES?!"

"What is there like anyway?" Meliodas asked about the realm of darkness.

"Please tell me it wasn't like a bug's nest!" Diane shouted as her phobia was speaking for her.

"It's actually dark and gloomy all the time like Hawk was thinking about the other place, but no graves everywhere." Sora described.

"You didn't tell us you've been to the heartless' realm." Satsuki said.

"Never came up." Sora said as he heard something fall next to him and saw that Ban had slumped over, asleep. "He's sleeping again?"

"Yup, that's Ban for ya. Better let him get some shut while we go to the necropolis." Meliodas said as Ban began snoring, dreaming of his past once again.

(Flashback)

"Talk about a close call. So that's the holy woman who guards the pond, huh?" The younger Ban said to himself after narrowly escaping falling to the bottom of the giant tree when a tree branch caught his shirt and saved him. As Ban dangled off the side of the tree, the blond guardian turned her attention back to the fountain of youth.

"You're safe once again. I've taken care of the bandit." The guardian said to the fountain before she heard a strange tone.

" Just one drop on your tongue adds ten years to your life! One good shallow gives another a hundred more! Drink it all and you live forever! " Ban sang yet again as he climbed to the top of the tree, only for the guardian to once more blow him off the side with another gust of powerful wind.

"WAHHHHHHH!" Ban screamed as he once again fell all the down to the bottom of the giant tree, lucky for the bandit however, he landed on a soft giant mushroom that cushioned his fall, allowing another chance for Ban to get the fountain.

" Just a drop on your tongue will-AAHHHHHHH!" Ban screamed again as the guardian heard him singing again and blew him off the tree halfway through the climb with another gust of wind, causing the bandit to lose his patience after surviving the fall yet again and decided to speed it up by running up the side of the giant tree all the way to the top.

"Not this time you little-UAAGGGGG!" Ban groaned again as he was once more flung off the side. And once he was able to yet again reach the top, the guardian was starting to get annoyed. "Damn it! Would you just stop!"

"You're the one who needs to stop around here! How are you even alive anyway? No human could possibly survive a fall from this height!" The guardian said, wondering how Ban could keep being able to get back up the giant tree.

"Well, I did get caught on a branch once, and then I fell into a clump of trees another time." Ban explained his incredible luck, much to the guardian's surprise.

"Is that true? Why would the forest try to save a human like that?"

"HA! Oh please, like I care. I still can't believe a little thing like you is the guardian of this sacred treasure. But now it's my turn to get serious." Ban said as he drew a three sectioned staff and twirled it around to display his skills.

"You only steal and kill. You're all the same, you want something without earning it." The guardian said with a sad face and then noticed Ban's staff was glowing purple with power. "That's magic!"

"Hah!" Ban grunted as he flung the staff and it extended past the guardian and towards the fountain of youth to grab the chalice at the center and towards the bandit, and gave it a whiff. "Not bad, doesn't smell like booze though."

"Ahh!" The guardian gasped in surprise as she realized that Ban was able to completely slipped past her.

"Well, bottoms up!" Ban said as he brought the water closer to his mouth, much to the anger of the guardian.

"No, no you CAN'T!" The guardian screeched as the tree vines came to life and entrapped Ban's arms and legs and took the fountain chalice away.

"What the hell is going on here?! You better get these things off me, right now!" Ban demanded as he struggled to free himself from the vines.

"I'm finished trying to make you humans understand! But if the fountain of youth disappears, everything in this forest will wither and die! So give up your quest and leave this place!" The guardian demanded as she stared Ban in the face with angry eyes, giving the bandit no other choice.

"Alright, fine. You win." Ban surrendered, much to the guardian's surprise.

"Huh?! How dare you lie to me like that! What do you mean "Alright fine?"

"Hahahaha! Honest!" Ban assured with a laugh while the guardian wanted to make sure.

(He doesn't realize I can read the minds of humans.) The guardian thought to herself before her eyes began slightly glowing and was able to hear Ban's thoughts.

(Man, this really sucks. The ale made with wild berries here makes really good stuff.) Ban thoughts spoke to the guardian, making her realize that the bandit was telling the truth. (It'd be really lame if I couldn't have it anymore. This was such a bust.)

(He means it…) The guardian thought to herself before she mentally had the tree vines release Ban from captivity. "Unbelievable, who in the world are you?"

"Me? I'm a bandit, you really couldn't tell? And bandit Ban is my handle around here. How about you kid?" Ban asked the guardian for her name.

"Oh no, I'm not a child. My name's, Elaine..."

(Present day)

As Ban was beginning to stir from his dreams of the past, the bandit found himself out on the front of the boar hat tavern and felt rumbling underneath him and saw that Hawk's mother was moving to a new destination until finally stopping.

"What the?" Ban questioned as he got up from his sleep.

"We're here!" Meliodas announced as the whole group was standing on top of a cliff that stood over the ruins of tala village.

"So this is the necropolis? It's not what I expected." Diane said as she saw nothing but the run down houses that made up the town.

"How did a run down village end up with a name like that, anyway?" Hawk questioned.

"Rumor has it, this should be the place closest to it." Meliodas explained.

"So we're looking for the entrance." Satsuki asked as Meliodas nodded.

"If it's behind a locked door, I was hoping could Sora could help out with that since he says he can open up any door, Isn't that right, Sora?" Meliodas asked as he turned to look at the keyblade wielder, only to see that Sora was staring silently at the abandoned village at the bottom of the cliff. "Uh, Sora?"

"I'll go see what's up with him." Ryuko volunteered as she walked up next to Sora. "Hey, what's going on with you all of sudden?"

"This place, it reminds me a lot of the keyblade graveyard…" Sora answered as Ryuko realized why he was acting so monotone all of a sudden. "There's no one here, and all that's left is pieces left behind.."

"I get what you mean. I saw that place when I was having those dreams about you, and it creeped me the hell out."

"This place creeps you out?" Ban said after overhearing the last part of Sora's and Ryuko's conversation. "And here I thought you were the tough type of girl."

"Oh what do you know about being tough, ya drunk? You tank every hit you take."

"Got me there." Ban said as the group jumped off the back of Hawk's mother as she buried herself into the ground and left the boar hat visible on top.

"Okay, let's get to work! Let's start by getting intel on King and find out where to go from here, and gonna need to find some food money right away, so let's get the tavern up and running!" Meliodas exclaimed his plan.

"Well what do you know? Guess the captain really does sell the drinks." Ban said.

"Yeah, when you're not drinking them." Ryuko pointed out.

"When the captain is working, he's so cute, O-M-G!" Diane said.

"And I'm gonna put everyone to work too!" Meliodas said as he looked up at Diane. "Bring in some customers, jumbo billboard girl!"

"Really? Are you sure?" Diane said, excited to take on the job she was given as Meliodas then turned to Ban.

"You start cooking up some grub, jailbird cook!"

"Guess I might as well after snoozing though breakfast." Ban said.

"Guess you want me to help him out, Meliodas?" Sora asked.

"You read my mind. Now for Ryuko and Satsuki, since I don't want Elizabeth to strain herself too much today, I was hoping you could help by being waitress." Meliodas asked.

"We will, although she should probably still be resting." Satsuki said.

"I'll be fine. Most of my injuries are already healed anyway." Elizabeth assured.

"Hey, there is one more thing." Meliodas said.

"You make us wear those waitress outfits you made, we'll kill you." Ryuko threatened as She and Satsuki gave the former captain glares that Meliodas simply shrugged at.

"That's fine, I just wanted to know if you wanted to put them on."

"Captain! I would wear one if there was one big enough for me!" Diane said.

"Oh, and Ban. The pantry is in the back for when you-" Meliodas said as he noticed that the bandit had disappeared. "Oh, he's gone….Maybe I should…

"NO!" Everyone else yelled at the same time to avoid the captain's cooking. After leaving everyone else behind, Ban had walked into the village ruins to check the empty buildings for anyone, but found living beings in sight, and he was even hoping for some heartless to show up for him to fight.

"Man, the captain must be out of his mind. What kind of info does he expect us to pick up in a gloomy dump like this?" Ban said to himself before spotting a small figure nearby a house, who from behind, looked very familiar. "Eliane?"

"Huh?" A small girl turned towards Ban, making the bandit realize he made a mistake.

"Oh, sorry about that. It couldn't possibly be her, heh." Ban laughed before noticing the girl had fallen over.

"Oh boy…" Ban said as he went over the small girl and picked her off the ground and found that she was still breathing. "Hey, hey, come on!" Ban tapped the girl's cheek as she started to stir. "So, you alright?"

"Get your filthy hands off Ellen!" A young voice shouted as Ban turned to see a young boy holding a pitchfork, who was no doubt the girl's brother. "Just what do you think you're doing to my sister?!"

"Look kid, if you're her brother and watching out for her shouldn't you make sure she's getting enough food?"

"Shut up! Go away and leave her alone!" The boy demanded as he pointed the pitchfork threateningly at Ban.

"Now I'm asking you again, are you making sure she's getting enough food? Or should I take her away?" Ban suggested as the boy grew angry.

"AHHHHHH!" The boy shouted as he charged at Ban and jammed the pitchfork into his chest, only to have no effect on the immortal bandit, much to the boy's fear as Ellen was able to recover from fainting.

"No brother! This man was only trying to help me! What have you done?" Ellen said as the boy froze up.

"I-I thought that-" The boy said as Ban pulled the pitchfork out of him, much to the siblings surprise. "I-I'm so sorry! What can I do to atone for my sin, sir?"

"You want to atone, huh? What's there to make amends for, kid? You see, there's something you should know. Real, genuine sins, no amount of repenting erases them." Ban said, before he was suddenly impaled again by a large spear.

(Music: Face it)

"Glad you finally realize that." The owner of the spear, King said as he laid on top of the weapon and Ban coughed up blood.

"Hey, Ban. How goes? Awesome! It's so great to see you after all these years." King said, much to Ban's confusion since he didn't recognize the boy. "What's up? It's not like you to be so quiet."

"Hond on. Who are you?" Ban asked as King continued to smile while Ellen and her brother backed away from the scene.

"Wow, my feelings are hurt. Who am I? Have you really forgotten about me?" King asked.

"I don't remember you at all. Sorry there bud."

Well, I guess it doesn't matter too much." King said before his spear began spinning in Ban's chest like a drill.

"The important thing is.." King said as the spear flew through Ban and left a giant hole in his chest and up into the air. "You are Ban the fox sin! The sin of greed!" He continued before suddenly appearing in the air and stepped on the tip of the spear in midair.

"Or maybe you prefer it if I call you this name." King said as the hole in Ban's chest closed up and healed. "Ban the undead!"

"You got a smart mouth kid, and I'm getting sick of your tone. The hell do you know about me anyway?" Ban asked as King stared silently at him and sighed.

"I know your sin." King claimed as Ban raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Even if you don't remember me, you can still remember your own sin, can't you? You know, that terrible awful crime you commited? To satisfy your selfish greed and gain eternal life, you murdered the holy woman of the fountain of youth." He accused Ban as he thought back to Elaine dying in his arms and started to anger the bandit as he cracked his knuckles.

"Listen up, brats. Get out of here!" Ban demanded the two siblings leave.

"Let's go, Ellen!" The boy said as he and his sister took their leave and King sat upon his spear before it flew at Ban.

"I'm right, aren't I?" King said as the spear missed Ban after he dodged the attack.

"I'll ask you again, who are you?!" Ban demanded as he threw a punch at King that missed and broke a nearby wall that King flew through as Ban chased after him, only to find the boy was gone.

"I'm happy you came out to play with me. Because you just walked right into my trap!" King said as he performed a hand gesture command as it flew at Ban, just as someone showed up to interfere.

"Defend!" Sora called out as he casted reflectga to summon a barrier that King's spear bounced off harmlessly, much to the owner's surprise as he recalled the spear back to him. "There you are, Ban!

"Hey! If I wanted your help, kid, I would've asked for it!" Ban said.

"It looked like you needed it!"

"You! How dare you inter-" King was about to yell at Sora before he noticed the keyblade in his hand. "You're the one Gilthunder wanted me to bring to him."

"Gilthunder? Oh, that lightning guy in the forest! You work for the holy knights?" Sora asked.

"Let's just say I made a deal with them. But I won't hand you over to them on one condition, you stop interfering now so I may destroy Ban!" King offered.

"Sorry! But that's a no!" Sora declined before getting into his battle stance. Ban however, decided to take care of it himself as he pushed past the keyblade wielder.

"Kid, I can handle myself! Now you!" Ban said as he looked up at King before stretching out his hand. "I'll ask you again, who the hell are-!

"Bad Ban!" Meliodas said as he appeared out of nowhere to knock the bandit on the head with a mug.

(Music stops)

"Meliodas? OW!" Sora shouted in pain as Meliodas also hit him on the head.

"Bad Sora!"

"What was that for?!"

"Yeah, what's the deal, cap? We're kinda busy here." Ban said, a little annoyed at the interference.

"What's the matter with you two? Think you can just skip out on work?" Meliodas said as King was dumbfounded by the sudden change in dynamic.

"You told me to go look for Ban!" Sora reminded the former captain.

"Then you should've been keeping an eye on him in the first place."

"I'm not his babysitter!" Sora shouted.

"Speaking of babysitters, could you mind letting me finish teaching this kid a lesson, Captain?" Ban pointed back at King who was still waiting in midair while Diane, Ryuko and Satsuki walked in.

"There you are Sora. What's going on?" Ryuko asked.

"That guy started a fight with Ban for some reason and I can't tell if he works for the holy knights or not." Sora said.

"Who started a fight with Ban?" Diane asked as she turned to see King floating in, and almost right away, the giantess and Meliodas seemed to recognised the floating boy.

"KING!" Meliodas and Diane said at the same while Ban was slowly processing the fact that the boy who fought him was one of his own fellow knights.

"Watch this, 3, 2, 1…" Meliodas counted down before the lights in Ban's head lit.

"Tell me how that tiny creep is supposed to be King?!" Ban shouted.

"Wait, that supposed to be one of the sins we're looking for?" Sora questioned as he pulled out the wanted poster of King and compared it to the floating boy in the air as he, Ryuko and Satsuki kept looking up and down from the poster to King and seeing that the poster looked nothing like the grizzly sin before them. "I don't get it…"

"How did he go from a butter ball…" Ryuko said as she pointed at the poster before pointing at King. "To a freaking kid?!"

"Maybe he lost a little weight?" Meliodas suggested.

"A LITTLE?!" Ryuko and Ban shouted at the same time.

"King! We came to look for you and now you're here! This is incredible! I'm so happy to see you again!" Diane said with a smile while King remained silent before he took off towards the forest. However, the issue was that King didn't leave because his fight with Ban was interrupted, but mainly because of Diane.

(YOU DAMN IDIOT! SHE SAID SHE WAS HAPPY TO SEE YOU AGAIN! YOU BLEW IT!) King mentally shouted at himself as he disappeared into the woods.

(Later, near the boar hat)

"Are Meliodas and Diane right? Could that really have been King?" Sora asked as he was once again looking at the poster of King while the group, minus Meliodas and Diane, walked to the boar hat with the two missing sins gone looking for King.

"Well, it seemed sir Meliodas was absolutely sure that it was sir King, so it must be true." Elizabeth said as she put trust in the former captain.

"But the guy on the poster isn't even a kid at all." Ryuko pointed out.

"But I could sense the power he had, I believe he was the real thing."Satsuki said.

"You know, I don't care if that was King or not. If I see that punk again, he's getting my foot up his ass!" Ban vowed.

"I get why you're angry, but uh…" Sora droned as he looked at Ellen and her brother walked alongside the group. "How come a couple of kids are with us?"

"Yeah, I kinda promised to get them some food, so you're helping double time with the cooking." Ban said.

"Yeah, sure." Sora said as the group finally made it back to the boar hat.

"Thank you for being so kind, sir." Ellen thanked as Ban went towards the tavern door.

"Sure thing, kid. But you're gonna owe me one for this." Ban said as he reached towards the handle, when the door suddenly exploded and sent the bandit flying back.

"SIR BAN!" Elizabeth shouted as Ban smashed against a tree with a dozen holes in his chest.

"The hell just happened?!" Ryuko questioned.

"Someone is coming out!" Satsuki said as footsteps could be heard from inside the tavern, slowly creeping closer.

"I swear, if this is that pig's bad idea of a joke!" Ryuko said, blaming Hawk.

"Uh, here's the thing." Hawk announced to reveal himself next to Ryuko. "I'm right here. I was the whole time!"

"Well, shit…"

"They're coming out!" Sora said as he summoned the midnight blue keyblade, when the boar hat intruder revealed himself as the dark figure that the group had seen back at Baste prison that got between them and the holy knights.

"That guy we saw at the prison. Who are you...excact...ly?" Sora said as he spotted the chaos ripper keyblade in the figure's hand.

'Another keyblade wielder here?" Satsuki said as she held Bakuzan defensively and Ban managed to recover from being attacked and the holes in his chest healed.

"You saying you know this guy? Because if you do, I have to kick your asses too for knowing him." Ban said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Trust us, we don't know this guy." Ryuko said as she drew her scissor blade.

"I have found you!" The figure said as the darkness covering him began fading away to reveal his appearance that consisted of pale gree armor that also covered his shoulders and a chest plate over it's bare chest and pale skin, with the most notable features being a mask that cover his mouth, a pair of horns atop his head and piercing red eyes.

"I-Is it some sort of monster?" Hawk asked as he shivered in fear.

"Or...is it a demon?" Elizabeth said as Sora noticed a familiar symbol on the figure belt buckle, the emblem of the unversed.

(Is he a unversed? Then that would mean...Vanitas!) Sora thought to himself as he realized where this keyblade wielding monster came from.

"You were never one of us." The monster said as red energy began covering it's keyblade and formed an energy axe around the blade and began dragging the weapon along the ground as it encircled Sora. "You are nothing but a usurper, a false idol. My eyes have been opened. Let me help you to see as well."

(Music: Doom eternal: The only thing they fear is you~Mick Gordon~)

"I'm a fake, huh? Look who's talking! I'll show you something instead!" Sora said as he jumped at the unversed only to be grabbed by the head and smashed him into the ground.

"SORA!" Ryuko shouted as she rushed at the monster to swing her scissor at it as it countered with its energy axe and Satsuki took the chance to charge the unversed and knocked it away from Ryuko and forced it to let go of Sora.

"HAH!" The monster shouted as he swung his axe at Satsuki's head and countered with bakuzan and held it back, but the unversed was easily overpowering her.

(What monstrous strength!) Satsuki thought to herself before she decided to break away while dodging another swing from the unversed axe and jumped back a few feet. "Farewell!" She said as she tossed a crescent wave of blue energy at the creature and exploded on impact.

"Aw man! I wanted to fight that thing too, ya know!" Ban complained while Ryuko helped Sora off the ground.

"I think it's better if that thing is gone now, then we still fight it." Sora groaned as he realized that the new monster was definitely stronger then most unversed, especially with a keyblade.

"Then what's that?" Hawk said trembling as everyone looked over to the smoke cloud where the unversed was struck, only to see a figure within that revealed to be the unversed, untouched, with a red energy shield on his left arm.

"Well, that's just great." Ryuko said as she made another jump at the monster and made vicious swings at him, only to be dodged easily by the unversed and it grabbed her by the throat and tossed her towards the trees.

"Ryuko!" Sora shouted before he noticed the unversed was making a charge towards him while dragging his axe behind him while the keyblade wielder gave the monster an angry glare. "Alright fine! You want me? You got it!" He shouted as he dashed at the unversed and clashed weapons against him before he was pushed back.

"Die!" The unversed said as he swung his axe and sent out its red crescent wave of energy at the keyblade wielder, only for Ban to jump in the way and take the hit in a large explosion.

"Ban!" Sora said, forgetting he was immortal.

"Chill out would ya?" Ban said as the dust cleared away to reveal that the bandit only had scratches that were already healing. "That was just a flick compared to the captain's punches, I can take worse than that."

"Rah!" The unversed shouted as it charged at Ban and punched him in the stomach hard enough to make a hole for his fist to go though.

"Like I said…" Ban said as he grabbed the unversed arm. "They're only flicks!" He shouted as he punched the creature in the face hard enough to drop it's keyblade as it was sent flying back, leaving it for Ban to pick up.

"I'll be taking this by the way. I kinda like the design."

"Ban! No!" Sora warned a little too late as the unversed stood up and held his hand out and recalled the chaos ripper from Ban's grip, much to the confusion of the bandit.

"The hell?!" Ban said before the creature transformed its keyblade into an axe again and tossed it into Ban's chest and flung him into a tree. "Okay, I'll give you that one!" Ban said as he tried to free himself from the axe that impaled him into the tree while the unversed cracked it's fist with the intent to use them.

"I guess he wants to do this the old fashion way." Ryuko said as she tossed her scissor blade aside and went towards the unversed.

"Ryuko! That might be a bad idea!" Satsuki warned.

"Don't worry! I can handle it!" Ryuko assured as she planned on using her life-fiber hybrid strength to even things out with the creature. "Haaaaaahhhhh!" She shouted as she threw the hardest punch she could at the unversed's face, only for her fist to completely have no effect on the monster.

"...Oh shit…" She said as the unversed knocked her back with the back of his fist before calling back it's axe from Ban's chest.

"Thank you…" Ban thanked as the hole in his chest closed up.

"That's it! I'm handling this!" Sora said as he jumped at the unversed again and exchanged blows with the monster's axe. When the unversed raised it's axe above its head and brought down on Sora, only for him to dodge to the side. "Take this!" He shouted as he used counter slash to knock the creature into the air while Ban decided to jump in.

"Time for some payback!" Ban said as he punched the unversed into the ground which made it bounce from the force, allowing Sora to follow up.

"How about this?" Sora said as he attacked with three flying swings of his keyblade and knocked around the monster back to the ground, making an opening for Satsuki.

"Freeze!" Satsuki shouted as she unleashed a mist of ice on the unversed and slowly began to freeze it like an ice statue, only not to last.

"RAHHHHH!" The monster roared as it broke out of it's ice prison, getting very angry.

"What does it take to bring this guy down?!" Ryuko said as she rubbed her head and picked her scissor blade back up before shooting a fireball at the creature, only for it to call up it's red shield and block the attack. "Oh come on!"

"Let's see him block this!" Sora exclaimed as he twirled his keyblade and transformed into second form before he held his keyblade forward and began charging energy up for ragnarok.

"Elizabeth! Get Hawk and the kids down!" Sora warned as the princess headed his warning and got Hawk and the two siblings behind some trees, just as Sora unleashed the energy bolts from his attack and they started heading towards the unversed who tried to deflect as many bolts as he could with his shield, only to be struck by a few stray bolts that got though his guard and exploded like fireworks upon impact. "Got 'em!" He praised, only to see the unversed walk out of the explosion unharmed. "Or not."

"Let me show you how it's done!" Ban said as he charged forward at the creature, only to be smacked adside.

"My quarrel is only with you, usurper!" The unversed claim as it charged at Sora and got into a deadlock again.

"Why? What does Vanitas want from me?" Sora asked as he tried to push back against the unversed, only to have trouble fighting back against his tremendous strength.

"Nothing! I only simple to destroy the one undeserving of your key! It did truely choose you" The monster said.

"Sure, I didn't get the keyblade the same way as everyone else, but at least I help anyone that I can with it!" Sora said as he broke away before slashing at the unversed's head that seemed to cause it to stagger before Ban jumped on the creature's back.

"Guess who?" Ban said as he punched the back of the monster's head while Sora took advantage.

"Take this!" Sora shouted as he pointed his keyblade downward and unleashed several orbs of magic with explosion that knocked the creature back with Ban still on top of it as he continued punching it.

"Looks like you're slowing down!" Ban said until the unversed pulled off his back and tossed him hard towards Sora and caused the two to fall down.

"Perish!" The unversed shouted as he swung his axe and sent out another red crescent energy wave at Sora, only for a figure to jump in the way and send it back towards the creature and caused an explosion upon impact and caught the grass on fire.

"Yeesh, I walked away for five mintues and this guy comes around and breaks my door. You got some friend there, Sora." A familiar voice said to the keyblade wielder as he looked up to see a smiling Meliodas with the dragon handle over his shoulder after using full counter to deflect the unversed's attack.

"Trust me, he's no friend." Sora said as Meliodas offered his hand and helped the keyblader off the ground while Ban got up himself and stretched his arms.

"So what the hell is he then?" Ban asked.

"I think I have an idea, but again, he's blowing anything I think of out of the water." Sora said as the creature walked out of the fire, unharmed by Meliodas' full counter.

"Speaking of, let's blow him away!" Meliodas said as he twirled the dragon handle on his finger before he rushed forward to deliver a powerful punch, but was blocked by the unversed's energy shield, but Meliodas' attack was only a distraction for Ban to jump and kicked the monster in his face.

"Kick his ass, kid!" Ban shouted towards Sora.

"Got him!" Sora responded as he reared his keyblade back and lunged forward with a thrust that struck the monster into the chest before adding an acting uppercut that knocked it into the air. "One more!" he exclaimed before turning the keyblade upwards and summoned a pink aura with ripple drive that struck the unversed with a burst of magic while Ryuko and Satsuki saw an opening as it dropped on the ground.

"Hey, you horned jackass! How about we take the edge off ya?" Ryuko said she charged up firaga on her scissor blade while Satsuki charged up blizzaga.

""Something that will help you, stay down!" Satsuki exclaimed as the two sisters shot off their spells at the monster and struck it with the combined force of fire and ice.

"Yaaaaahhh!" The unversed screamed in pain from the combined attack, leaving an opening for Sora.

"Gotcha!" Sora said as he keyblade began glowing with a golden aura and unleashed ars arcanum upon the unversed and attacked with a series of rapid blows before spinning and rising up into the air. "You're through!" He shouted before slamming the keyblade down on the creature with a powerful finishing slam that caused the ground to crack while Sora reverted out of second form. After receiving the vicious combo, the horned unversed was on it's knees, definitely weakened after everyone's combined attacks.

"He's down! Let's finish him off while we can!" Meliodas said as everyone charged at the creature all at once to finish it off, but didn't see the creature's red eyes glow brighter for a moment.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" The horned unversed roared with rage as it slammed it's axe on the ground and caused a surge of red lightning to erupt around it and struck everyone nearby and stunned them all.

"Oh no! Sir Meliodas! Sora!" Elizabeth said in worry while she, hawk and the two siblings watched everyone fall to the ground, helpless and vulnerable.

"Ack, can't move!" Sora groaned since the red lightning had numed his arms and legs, but was still able to move his head to see the axe at his throat.

"And now it ends. For your crimes of impersonation, you will be put to death!" The unversed said as it's axe doubled in size and raised it above his head with the intent of using it on Sora, while everyone else could only watch in horror.

"SORA, NO!" Ryuko shouted.

"RAAAAAAA-!" The unversed yelled as it was suddenly stopped when a large object suddenly crashed down on top of the monster, an entire house.

(Music ends)

What the?" Sora questioned as he looked at the house that seemed to crush the unversed and saved his life, now he was wondering where it came from, which was answered when Diane suddenly appeared from behind the building.

"Hey there! Hope I'm not interrupting anything." Diane said.

"Nope! Just on time, Diane! You just saved Sora's skin." Meliodas said as he hopped off the ground and Ban got up while electricity was still surging off of him.

"Yeah, unless he-AGHH!- he's immortal like-AAAAYYYAAAAYYAYYA!- me he was definitely screwed without ya." Ban said between convulsions from being shocked.

"How did you even know we were even in trouble?" Ryuko asked as she helped Sora off the ground.

"It's kinda easy to noice red lightning when you can see over trees. And it's also convitent when there's a whole butch of abandonded houses you can toss." Diane answered.

"Thanks a bunch, Diane. I really owe you one." Sora thanked the giantess.

"By the way, who was that guy? And why was he trying to kill you?"

"Who cares? Horn guy is already dead. I say move on from it." Ban said as he walked towards the tavern.

"Hey, you're helping out with fixing the door, Ban." Meliodas said as he followed the bandit inside, while Elizabeth was checking up on Sora.

"Well, you seem to be alright, Sora. Luckily that lightning didn't seem to do too much damage." Elizabeth said.

"If anything, Sora seems to handle a lot of damage. He's like a sponge." Satsuki said.

"Hey! You make it sound like all I'm good at is dishes!" Sora said before he turned back to Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, take the kids inside, I'm gonna still still need a few moments."

"Okay, take all the time you need." Elizabeth said as she and Hawk took Ellen and her brother inside to be fed, leaving Sora, Ryuko and Satsuki all on their own.

"What the hell was that thing?" Ryuko asked about the strange horned unversed that attacked them.

"I'm pretty sure it was an unversed." Sora answered.

"The creatures Vantais creates?" Satsuki asked.

"Yep, those are them. But I didn't think they could use the keyblade like him."

"But this monster, this...Marauder is here, then that could mean that Vanitas is here as well."

"I hope so, I got a score to settle with that wannabe Sora look alike! I'm still pissed he used me like his own little puppet!" Ryuko said with anger as she slammed her fist into her palm, angry about how back in Honnouji that Vanitas turned her to darkness and made her attack her friends, including Sora and Satsuki.

"I imagine the unversed was meant to track us down. He may already know we're here." Satsuki said.

"Well, whatever he wants with Britanna, he won't get it! Not as long we're around!" Sora vowed.

"That's what I'm talking about. We're gonna kick his ass this time!" Ryuko said as the trio began walking towards the boar hat tavern to rest up. As they walked away, the view panned back to the house that Diane used to crush the unversed, where after a few moments of silence, a loud banging sound could be heard from inside, until a pale fist smashed it's way out of the rubble.

(Inside the boar hat)

"Okay, everybody. Dig in." Ban said as he set down a whole fest for Ellen and her brother that made the children(And Hawk) drool at the sight at.

"That smells amazing!" Elizabeth said while Meliodas and Sora pulled on Hawk's ears to keep the pig from eating all the food.

"It's great, but we don't have any.." Ellen's brother said to say they didn't have any money, but Ban couldn't care.

"If you don't eat it, I'm gonna give it all to the pig." Ban as Hawk began to drool even more, creating a small puddle.

"Someone get a mop." Ryuko said as she watched Hawk's drool puddle become larger.

"We'll eat!" The two siblings said, much to Hawk's disappointment.

"It's wonderful!" Ellen said after sampling the delicious food.

"Come on! I need a taste!" Hawk begged, only for Meliodas to pull him back.

"It's the best I've ever had! Thank you so much!" Ellen's brother thanked.

"It's time for some give and take." Ban said as he took a seat. "Now tell me everything you know about this "Necropolis" place."

"What are you doing, Ban? Finding King was our mission, so there's no reason to go there anymore, right?" Meliodas asked.

"No way in hell that little punk is King!" Ban objected.

"Trust me, that's really him."

"I think he's a fake!"

"Nope, it's really him!"

"He's a fake!"

"How do you know if it's King at all?" Sora asked as he got between Meliodas and Ban.

"I just know." Meliodas assured.

"I say have him make that sound he does whenever I force his arm behind him, you know the one where it sounds like a pig squeal." Ban offered.

"HEY!" Hawk said, offended.

"So you guys are trying to get into the Necropolis too?" Ellen's brother asked which made Meliodas' and Ban's bickering stop long enough. "That boy asked us questions about it alot. And he told me that he had to find it, no matter what!" He spoke obviously of King.

"King said that, huh?" Meliodas questioned.

"He said he's been looking for a long time too."

"So it's actually here in this rundown place." Hawk asked as Ellen's brother shook his head.

"No, but it's not faraway."

"Then where is it exactly?" Diane asked from outside the window.

"The entrance to the Necropolis can be found here in this hamlet. But it's not a place you can reach because you want to." Ellen's brother explained.

"So, it's not behind a door you can unlock?" Sora asked as the children shook their heads to answer, making Sora realize that the keyblade was pointless in the situation.

"Listen, kid. Riddles aren't really my thing." Ban said.

"Oh, I get it! So what you're saying is…" Meliodas said as he tied a pole to Hawk with a plate of food on the other end for some reason. "It's something like this!"

"Ohhhhhh!" Hawk said as he began drooling again and Ryuko punched the former captain on the head.

"Jackass! What kinda point are you trying to make with that?!" Ryuko shouted.

"I actually forgot.." Meliodas admitted.

"Is the Necropolis some sort of graveyard that's hidden?" Satsuki asked.

"It's not a graveyard at all. It's a land onto itself, a place where you find the spirits of those who died!" Ellen's brother exclaimed.

"Are we talking about the afterlife?" Meliodas asked.

(The final world maybe?) Sora thought to himself, thinking that maybe the Necropolis was somehow connected to the place of endless sea and sky.

"Tell me, have you guys ever had a chance to go there yourself?" Ban asked.

"Oh no! Of course not! All that stuff is superstitious nonsense!" Ellen's brother said, defensively, like he was trying to hide a secret.

"If you share with the dead your precious memories, they will lead you where you want to go. The man next door used to say that to us all the time." Ellen suddenly spoke up, which was exactly what Ban was looking for as he figured it out right away. "I'm sorry, but that's all I know."

"That tip just paid for your meal and then some!" Ban said as he patted Ellen on the head. "Seriously, well done. Thanks a lot Elaine."

"Um..My name is Ellen.."

"Huh? Oh sorry about that Ellen. Now go on and eat, there's still food on your plate."

"NOOOOOOO!" Hawk shouted as he realized that he wouldn't be able to sample any of Ban's cooking, while Sora managed to catch that Ban had called Ellen by a different name.

(Who's Elaine?)

(later…)

"So, neither of you know who Elaine is?" Sora said after asking Meliodas and Diane who Elaine might be, but the two sins had no idea.

"Nope! Every time we ask Ban after he accidentally calls some blond that, he clams up about it afterwards." Meliodas said as the group walked around, looking for the entrance to the Necropolis.

"Even when we ask him about it when he's drunk, he still won't tell us anything." Diane said.

"Since Ban is still after the capital of the dead, it could be possible that this Elaine is dead." Satsuki guessed which made Sora pause in place.

"I...didn't think of that." Sora said when he realized that Ban may want the same thing the keyblade wielder wanted, to be reunited with the one they cared most about.

"So, speaking of the Necropolis, even if it exists, there's no way to get to the other side." Hawk pointed out.

"So I guess we have to do is die, right?" Meliodas suggested.

"Are you an idiot?!"

"I think we all know the answer to that one." Ryuko said.

"Memories that are precious with the dead, huh? If I could, I could remember my mother, but I was too young to remember, I would love to meet her." Elizabeth said.

"Then that rules you out then." Hawk said as Elizabeth slumped over.

"What about dad?" Ryuko said which got Satsuki's attention, but was sadly for her, she only had bad news to give.

"I much as I myself would like to see our father again, I don't think it would work for us. Instead of precious memories, both of us only have bloodstained memories thanks to Ragyo." Satsuki pointed out.

"It might not work anyway. There's more than one afterlife in each world. And I don't think your dad ended up in this one." Sora whispered to Ryuko and Satsuki, which even furthered their disappointment. As everyone else looked around, Ban came upon a large clearing that was overlooked by a couple of cliffs and stood alone as another memory of the past came back to him.

(Flashback)

"Ban...You came here for the fountain of youth. But why did you seek it out in the first place." Elaine asked as she and Ban stood on top of the branches of Elaine's tree that overlooked her forest.

"No real reason. I'd just figured if you live a lousy life long enough, maybe something good will finally come along and make it better, that's about it." Ban gave his answer as Elaine seemed to understand.

"I see. But what if you gain eternal life, and nothing good ever comes your way?" Elaine questioned as Ban seemed confused at her statement, wondering why she was suddenly so sad.

(Present day)

"Hahaha! Ban, that is so not your style!" Diane shook Ban out of his thoughts as he looked down to see what the giantess was talking about and saw that the clearing he was standing in the middle of suddenly had pink flowers that weren't planted when he first stepped out onto the field.

"What the hell is this?" Ban asked, wondering where the flowers came from.

"Elizabeth, come here! Look at all these flowers!" Diane called out to the princess as everyone stepped into the clearing.

"Oh my, what kind are they?" Elizabeth asked.

"Are they roses?" Ryuko asked since the flowers seemed to resemble roses.

"No, roses aren't pink." Satsuki answered.

"Who cares about a bunch of stupid old flowers? You can eat these things all day long and they'll never fill you up." Hawk said as he blew some air from his nostrils onto a flower and blew the petals off, and caused every other flower to follow into the air and formed into a shower of flower petals.

"Wow! Look at that!" Sora said in amazement as everyone took in the sight while the keyblade was thankful that the petals weren't out to be harmful, like the ones that came from a certain scythe wielding member of organization Xlll. As the petals filled the air, King appeared at the top of the nearby cliffs, thinking the entrance to the necropolis was opening, which confirmed as the shower of flower petals was forming into a tornado.

"So pretty…" Elizabeth said.

"Hey! You guys!" Ellen's brother shouted from outside the tornado. "Be careful!"

"Say what?!" Sora shouted since he could barely hear the child before the winds got stronger.

"Lady! Mister!" Ellen shouted as King flew off the cliff and into the petal tornado. As the group stood together in the raging typhoon, it suddenly died down to reveal a new sight, a strange new land that seemed to be made of large green crystals everywhere in each direction.

"Captain…" Diane said as she pointed out the sights.

"Look, you guys…." Meliodas said as everyone looked around.

"So this is the other side, huh?" Ryuko said.

"Not what you expect the afterlife to look like." Satsuki stated.

(This definitely isn't the final world.) Sora thought to himself as he realized the Necropolis wasn't the same place he met Chirithy in. As everyone took in the sights, King had hidden himself behind a giant crystal to watch the group.

"No doubt about it. It's the Necropolis. Memories belonging to one of them, opened the pathway." King said, wondering who might've opened the way into the Necropolis.

"Do you think it was my wish to meet my mother that opened the way up and carried us here?" Elizabeth guessed.

"Maybe it was my powerful longing for the scarps I missed in my long and colorful life!" Hawk suggested.

"My mind was totally blank!" Meliodas admitted.

"Mine too!" Diane said.

"What about you, Sora? You seem like you might have some precious memories." Meliodas asked the keyblade wielder.

"Sorry, not me. My mind was something else." Sora said before drifting his eyes towards Ban and realized that it may have been his memories that opened the way. Speaking of the bandit, Ban quickly caught a familiar sight in the corner of his eyes, a short blond woman wearing a white dress and quickly made chase after the figure.

"Ban!" Diane shouted as the fox sin ran off.

"Where are you going?!" Ryuko shouted as King decided to follow Ban in his pursuit.

"Hold it!" King shouted as he flew after the bandit.

"King?" Meliodas said as everyone caught of the grizzly sin.

"He followed us in!" Sora said.

"And he's going to try and kill Ban again!" Satsuki said.

"Captain, what do we do?" Diane asked.

"I guess we run after them for now." Meliodas guessed while Ban chased after the blond figure and King followed after him.

"I'm not gonna let you escape!" King declared to Ban while the bandit chased after his target.

"I won't let you get away from me again!" Ban vowed as he followed the sight of the blonde woman, who was actually Elaine, who then quickly vanished from Ban's sight, but the bandit wasn't ready to give up, not even close.

(Back in the world of the living)

"Ellen, did you see that?" Ellen's brother asked after seeing Sora and the sins disappear into the petal tornado.

"Yeah, those people just...disappeared." Ellen said while the two siblings were unaware of an approaching figure.

"Well, well. It would seem the Necropolis really does exist." A woman's voice startled the two children as they turned to see a woman in white clothing with armored arms and legs and a rapier by her side and had long black hair and seemingly permanently closed eyes.

"Do you know who she is?" Ellen asked her brother while being scared by the strange woman.

"Wait a minute, are you one of the holy knights?" Ellen's brother asked before he and his sister were suddenly grabbed by the throats. "Please, don't!"

"I would be most grateful, if you would please inform me how one enters the Necropolis?" The holy knight threatened in a polite, yet scary matter.

"As if, we ever tell you!"

"Brother...I...can't breathe!" Ellen said between breaths as she was being choked.

"Now be a good boy." The woman said which left Ellen's brother no choice to save his sister.

"If you share with the dead your precious memories, they'll lead you to the city!" Ellen's brother confessed, but the woman only looked confused.

"I'm afraid I don't follow you."

"How can we know anymore about the land where the dead go?!"

"The dead? Oh, I see. Very helpful." The knight woman said as she released the children and raised her arm in a manner that seemed hostile.

"Don't!" Ellen's brother begged before the woman suddenly thrusted her hand into her own chest in a bowing manner, and stood completely still as if she were dead.

(The Necropolis: Field of the dead)

"Ban!" Meliodas called out as the group walked across a green crystal bridge, looking for the two sins that ran off.

"King!" Diane called out to the grizzly sin.

"Hey! Don't kill the short guy, ya drunk!" Ryuko shouted, hoping that Ban wouldn't kill King.

"Man, where did those two run off to now?'

"Hey, Meliodas have you got why King is picking a fight Ban, anyway?" Sora asked.

"You got me there. Sure, Ban dragged King into plenty of his messes, I didn't think he would be mad enough to try and kill Ban. Not that it would work anyway…" Meliodas said.

"Do Ban and King have a history together before they joined the sins?" Satsuki asked.

"Not that I know of." Meliodas admitted before suddenly coming to a halt and Elizabeth bumped into him.

"Is everything okay?" Elizabeth asked.

"I don't think we're alone here." Meliodas said as Elizabeth tensed up and look around for any threat.

"Um, I don't see anyone around here but us."

"Yeah, no ghosts have appeared and tried to scare us or anything." Hawk agreed.

"Actually, I'd be terrified if one had." Elizabeth said, slightly scared at the possibility.

"What's so scary about ghosts? The heartless are much scarier if you ask me." Sora commented.

"AH! What if the ghosts of all those monsters you killed come back to haunt us?!" Hawk said as Elizabeth became terrified.

"Actually, heartless don't have ghosts." Assured Sora since heartless turned into hearts after being destroyed.

"Oh thank goodness." Elizabeth and Hawk sighed now that the worry had lifted off their shoulders.

"Although, there are heartless that look like ghosts." Sora continued which made Elizabeth's and Hawk's fear return.

"QUIT SCREWING WITH US!" Hawk shouted.

(Necropolis: Spirit's respite)

After running off from the rest of the group, Ban ran down a field of green crystals in the direction of where he last saw Elaine, unaware that King was following him, flying on a green pillow.

"Does he really think he can escape me?" King said as he flew forward and landed in front of Ban, making the bandit stop.

(Music: Thirteenth discretion)

"You're back again. Huh, Phoney King?" Ban said.

"Think I'm a fake, huh?"

"Yup.."

"No, I really am King." The grizzly sin assured, but Ban was able unconvinced.

"Look, I'm busy. I don't have time. Now shoo." Ban waved off King.

"You'll see…" King said as Ban smiled.

"Is that so?" Ban questioned before dashing past King, only to be easily caught up to as King was flying right next to the bandit.

"You haven't changed at all since the old days, have you? As long as you get what you want, you couldn't care less if anybody else gets hurt." King said as Ban had enough and made a grab for the flying boy, only to miss King easily when he floated to the side. Getting a familiar feeling, Ban stopped running and made more grabs at King, trying to catch him, only to fail each time and made the bandit realize that it was indeed the real King pestering him.

"Well, how about that? You really are King."

"I told you so…"

"Then I won't have to hold back when I kick your ass!" Ban exclaimed as he reared back his fist and aimed at King, only to miss and hit his green pillow instead and looked up to see King standing on a giant crystal.

"You used to backhand me like that all the time in the old days." King said after predicting ban's attack.

"So you've come back to settle your old score with us, huh? Or did you have a more specific target in mind, King?"

"Back in the past, this would've been the very last thing I've wanted for our reunion. When I was cast out, suspected of treason against the realm, with nowhere else to go, I returned to my homeland. But what I found was the heartrending sight of my homeland beyond all recognition." King said as Ban suddenly found himself bound by King's pillow, which had transformed into a giant stuffed bear.

"When I was in the sins with you, I must admit, I never really gave it a lot of thought. Why a human like you should be unkillable. Never once, did I think you killed the guardian to drink from the fountain." King said as he floated closer to Ban.

"Now wait just a minute...Just how do you know about that woman?" Ban asked as King grabbed his shirt and stared at him with anger and hate.

"The person you killed in the forest...That little girl was my sister, Elaine!" King revealed as Ban remained silent at the fact while King seethed in rage before calming down and back away.

"Oh, I get it! You wanna avenge her by killing me. But the problem with that is, I can't be killed!" Ban reminded King.

"If you remember, my sacred treasure has a variety of abilities." King said as Ban looked confused. "Oh right. If you're not interested. It goes in one ear and out the other. Chastieful, third configuration: Fossilization!" He called out as a spear emerged from the stuffed bear's chest, behind Ban.

"And that means?"

"It does this!" King said as the spear impaled itself into Ban's back and his body began forming into stone. "I've been waiting for this moment, are you watching, Elaine?" He spoke out to his sister while Ban remained silent during his body's transformation to stone and began thinking back to the past yet again.

(Flashback)

(Music:Peaceful hearts)

"*Sigh* How I wish it had me Ban came to steal. Instead of the fountain of youth…" Elaine sighed as she stared at a standard fairy tale book of a noble hero rescuing the princess. During Ban's time in the forest, Elaine had fallen in love with the bandit, and wanted nothing more than to go with him when Ban would evently leave, but was unaware that the bandit was right behind her.

"Should I do that too?" Ban asked as he ate a berry.

"Ahh!" Elane shouted in embarrassment with a heavy blush. "Y-You said you were going out to find something to eat!"

"Yeah, found a bunch of legion berries right over there. Now let's get started." Ban said as he prepared to grant Elaine her wish.

"Don't tease me like that!"

"Eh? I'm not kidding.." Ban said, which surprised Elaine since it seemed the bandit was serious. "I haven't had what you call "Luck" getting along with humans much. But you really listen to me, and you take me seriously." He said, which flattered Elaine, but she had to deny the offer.

"No, I can't. I'm flattered, but...I have to protect the fountain of youth. This forest is.." Elaine declined, but Ban wasn't going to let it go easily.

"Hey, I got that covered. I can just go look for your brother and bring him back out here. You told me about him once, remember that? You said he left hundreds of years ago. But if he shows up again, you'll be free and clear." Ban said as tears began falling from Elaine's eyes at his kind offer and jumped to give a hug which certainly took the bandit by surprise.

(Music stops)

"Roooooaaaaaaarrrr!" A horrible voice bellowed before flames suddenly consumed the top of the tree, causing Ban to pull Elaine away from the fire.

"Ban! Easy!" Elaine said as Ban coughed from the smoke of the fire.

"What just happened?" Ban asked, wondering where the fire came from and looked up to see the source and caused his heart to skip a beat from fear. The fire starter was a large red creature, with dark eyes and horns on its head.

"Hahahahaha!" The red monster laughed as it watched the tree and the forest around it burn.

(Music: Shaded truths)

"What the hell is that?!"

"A demon…" Elaine answered

"A demon?"

"Nothing can burn the fairy king's forest, but the flames of purgatory. But I always thought the goddesses defeated them in the holy war and locked away." Elaine said as a thought came across Ban's mind.

"Is the fountain of youth okay?" Ban asked, worried that the fountain may have been set ablaze too.

"Don't worry, I made sure of it." Elaine confirmed as a vine held the fountain's claice in its grip.

"Good, take it and get out of here!" Ban said as he stood up, with the intent to confront the demon.

"Wait! You need to come with me! The demon hasn't noticed us yet, let's go now!" Elaine pleaded.

"Shh! I'm gonna do a little surgery while its back is turned!" Ban said as he drew his three section staff as it glowed with energy and Ban swung the weapon into the demon and plunged into its body and pulled out the demon's still beating heart. "Heh, just one shot!" The bandit declared victory, only for the demon to turn around still very much alive.

"No, Ban, no! A demon has more than one-!" Elaine tried to warn Ban, but was too late as the demon fired a burning laser that blew holes in both their chest.

"E-Elaine…" Ban struggled to say as he and Elaine both fell to the ground. As the demon laughed at its victims, Elaine managed to use what strength she had to bring the vine with the fountain of youth's water to Ban.

"Ban...Here...You must...Drink the water...please Ban…" Elaine said before her strength faded and the vine dropped the water, only for the Bandit to catch it in time and offered it to Elaine instead.

"No…You drink it…" Ban insisted as Elaine shook her, but the bandit was not taking no for an answer. Seeing that she had no choice and that Ban wasn't going to change his mind, Elaine took the chalice from him and began gulping down the water and believing that she was going to be okay, Ban closed his eyes, ready for death. However, Ban instead felt something pass through his mouth and opened his eyes again to see Elaine kissing him, passing the fountain of youth's water into his mouth while the red demon stomped over and raised its foot with the intent of smashing the bandit and the guardian, only to miss when they suddenly disappeared.

"You idiot…" Ban said after the water managed to take effect. His wound from the demon was healed and now he was holding Elaine in his arm before setting her down. Stay here, this won't take long…" He said as the red demon grabbed Ban and crushed him in its grasp, only to be surprised when its fingers were suddenly cut off and any injuries Ban sustained quickly healed.

"Let's play a little game! LET'S SEE WHO GETS TURNED INTO MINCEMEAT FIRST!" Ban shouted as he jumped at the red demon to avenge Elaine. As Ban tore apart the red demon, the forest fire died down, leaving only ashes of the grand fairy king's forest in ashes, but from those ashes, Ban the undead, fox sin of greed was born.

(Present day)

"If you have a deathbed confession, I'm willing to listen to what you have to say. Of course that doesn't mean I'll forgive what you've done." King said as more of Ban continued to transform into stone, staring at King in silence before letting out a chuckle. "What's so funny? Don't act tough. Must be driving you crazy." He assumed as Ban completely turned into a statue, yet the bandit still smiled, even after being completely petrified.

"Goodbye, Ban…"

(The Necropolis: field of the dead)

"Hello? Have any ghosts seen two living people?" Sora shouted out as the group continued looking for Ban and King, unaware that the former had just been turned to stone by King.

"There's no sign of them.." Elizabeth said.

"Maybe they got bored and went back to the real world." Hawk guessed.

"I've been thinking about that, how do we get back?" Ryuko questioned which made everyone stop in their tracks when they realized they were never informed on how they could return to the world of the living.

"Uh, Captain? You wouldn't happen to know how to do that yourself, do you?" Diane asked, hoping Meliodas did have an answer.

"Actually, I have no clue at all since I didn't even know this place existed before today." Meliodas admitted as everyone, except Satsuki had slumped over.

"Well, I guess we have to ask one of the locals, if we can find any of them." Sora said as Satsuki noticed something on the path ahead which the keyblade wielder took notice of. "Hey, Satsuki, what's wrong?"

"We have a visitor, but it isn't a spirit." Satsuki said as everyone looked forward to see the holy knight woman who had stabbed herself to travel into the necropolis.

"Who's that?" Diane asked.

"Hello, Meliodas the dragon sin…" The woman greeted Meliodas. "How do you do? Diane the serpent sin…." She greeted Diane before finally looking at Sora. "And hello, unknown target of interest. My name is Guila, a holy knight."

"What? How did you get here?" Hawk asked.

"Simple, by dying."

"Dying? That's crazy!" Sora said.

"It's actually a bit genius, I actually think she's in a state between life and death." Satsuki said.

"Kinda reminds me of you, Satsuki. She looks and sounds like you." Ryuko said.

"We are nothing alike/I don't see the resemblance." Satsuki and Guila said at the same time, surprising both of them, causing Sora and Ryuko to chuckle a bit.

"You were saying?" Sora said, still chuckling a little.

"I'm glad you're enjoying this, you seem like someone I'd generally get along with. But unfortunately, this only ends in one way." Gulia said as she reached towards her rapier and drew upwards as it released a powerful shockwave that flung Elizabeth and Hawk back.

(Music: The 13th struggle~recom ver~)

"Elizabeth! Hawk!" Sora shouted.

"Hawk! Take Elizabeth and get as far away from here as possible!" Meliodas advised as Gulia pointed her rapier forward, which seemed to be sizzling at the tip.

"Will do! Hey, Elizabeth, piggyback!" Hawk said as Elizabeth mounted onto him and the pig took the princess away from the battle site as quickly as he could. "You will believe a pig can fly!"

"That'd be the day." Ryuko said as she took out the scissor blade, and Satsuki drew bakuzan.

"You really didn't really have to worry about the princess. It's yourselves that you need to worry about." Gulia said.

"I don't think so!" Sora said as he summoned the ever after keyblade and took a battle stance. "Incase you haven't noticed, we got you outnumbered!"

"That can be solved, easily." Gulia said without a hint of worry as she aimed her rapier downward before thrusting it down into the green crystal bridge and an explosion suddenly erupted that caused the bridge to fall apart and forced everyone to jump away from the collapsing structure.

"The hell was that?!" Ryuko questioned as everyone looked at the falling bridge that created a draft of smoke before a projectile flew out in the shape of a flaming sphere.

"Incoming!" Sora warned as he pulled Ryuko out of the projectile's path as it dentanted in another large explosion upon impact with the ground before Gulia jumped out of the smoke and then proceed to attack Sora with her rapier, which he fended off with his keyblade from each rapier thrust until the keyblade wielder broke though her attacks. "Gotcha!" he exclaimed as he jumped up to deliver a jumping attack.

"Don't think so…" Gulia said as she snapped her fingers and a cloud of smoke covered her as Sora sliced through the cloud, only to see that Gulia was gone.

"Huh?" Sora questioned, unaware that the holy knight had used the smoke to sneak around, ready to strike from the back and swung her rapier, only to hit Satsuki's weapon instead.

"Clever!" Satsuki before swinging bakuzan at Gulia's arm in an attempt to rid the holy knight of her weapon, only to be countered.

"Heads up!" Ryuko shouted as she dropped down from above in an attempt to strike Gulia with her scissor blade, only for the holy knight quickly push Satsuki away and dodged Ryuko's attack before kicking her in the ribs while Sora and Meliodas both took the opportunity to attack while Sora jumped off a crystal to activate flowmotion and fly towards Gulia to knock her away from the sisters.

"Hah!" Sora shouted as he brought his keyblade down on the holy knight while she was grounded and clashed against her rapier. "Meliodas! Now!"

"I gotcha!" Meliodas responded as he jumped over to deliver a powerful ground pound against Gulia that created a massive crater that seemed to hurt the holy knight, only for the former captain to be blown away by an explosion.

"Meliodas!" Sora said as he watched Meliodas get sent faraway while Gulia stood up after blowing the dragon sin away.

"You think I might've overdone it a bit?" Gulia asked as she pointed her rapier at Sora's back, which he quickly noticed before turning around with a spinning attack in an attempt to catch Gulia off guard, only to be parried and exchanged blows with each other. "You're surprisingly adept at swordplay for someone so young."

"I get that alot!" Sora said as he pushed Gulia away before shooting a quick blizzaga spell at her, which the holy knight countered by pointing her rapier forward and casted another explosion that destroyed the ice before it could form, while Diane had used the smoke as cover.

"This is one is for the captain!" Diane exclaimed as she brought her giant fist down on Gulia, and seemingly crushed the holy knight. "Hah! That's what you get!" She said before a bright light built up before an explosion blew away the giantess with enough force to send her in the same direction as Meliodas.

"You gotta be kidding me! Diane, too!" Sora said.

"Shot bomb!" Gulia announced as she flicked her rapier and a chain of explosions flew at Sora that he was barely able to avoid by jumping out of the way. "Kaboom to you, good sir…"

"And to you, too!" Ryuko shouted from behind as she shot a firaga spell at Gulia that she guarded, but left an opening for Sora.

"Gotcha!" Sora said as he tossed the keyblade at Gulia with strike raid which caught her off guard as she deflected the thrown weapon.

"Rahhh!" Satsuki shouted as she attacked Gulia and exchanged sword swings with the holy knight and kept swinging to keep her from generating more explosions.

"My turn with dynamite chick!" Ryuko shouted as she jumped in to attack Gulia, who dodged every swing of Ryuko's scissor blade while it was covered in flames.

"Hmm, quite the temper you have." Gulia noted as she evaded Ryuko's fiery attacks.

"She's not the only one you need to worry about!" Sora shouted as Gulia turned to notice him slam his keyblade forward on her that generated a powerful column of magic that knocked her back into a crystal structure that collapsed.

"Did that get her?" Ryuko asked before the debris suddenly exploded and a still smiling Gulia walked out and dusted herself off. "Of course not…"

"Don't forget, we haven't gotten serious yet!" Sora said as his clothes transformed into element and tossed his keyblade out as it turned into the mirage staff.

"Hmm. So you really are my secondary target, a boy with a key shaped sword that could transform into other weapons Apparently you've caught interest in one of my superiors, and for that you are wanted in liones." Gulia said.

"Another knight said the same thing. Who wants him?" Satsuki demanded to know as the trio held their weapons defensively.

"He'll see for himself, you two girls on the other hand, well...Doesn't really matter what happens to you. Shot bomb!" Gulia announced as she flicked her rapier again and another chain of explosions traveled in Ryuko and Satsuki's direction.

"Wind!" Sora called out as a small tornado formed in the path of the explosions and carried them in the current of wind. "Here! Have them back!" He said as the explosive projectiles spun back towards Gulia while the holy knight began dodging her own attacks as they dentanated behind her.

"Hmm, very clever."

"How's this?" Sora said as he waved the staff and pillars of light burst around Gulia that she managed to avoid by jumping away from, and sensed another attack and looked up to see Ryuko above her and smacked the holy knight back down to the ground with her scissor blade while Satsuki took aim at Gulia's arm while she was down.

"Freeze!" Satsuki called out as a mist of ice blew from bakuzan and covered the knight's arm and her rapier in an attempt to keep her from using her explosion magic.

"Oh, I see. You are trying to disable my magic by aiming at my weapon." Gulia noted as she tried to move her frozen arm while Satsuki pointed her sword at the holy knight's throat.

"You should surrender now." Satsuki advised.

"I would because of your tactic, however...my rapier is not the source of my magic." Gulia said as she snapped the fingers of her free hand and an explosion from underneath Satsuki blew her away.

"Satsuki!" Sora shouted as he watched Satsuki crash into a crystal pillar and then gave Gulia an angry glare before shooting rays of light at the holy knight in a crossing pattern which Gulia dodged away from as she slashed at Sora with her rapier and seemingly made contact with the keyblade wielder, only for him to turn into particles of light.

"Oh?" Gulia questioned before she looked around and saw dozens of Sora clones made of light along with the real Sora pointing their staffs at the holy knight. "Clever boy…"

"Get her!" Sora commanded the clones before they fired a barrage of light projectiles from every direction at Gulia that created a dust cloud that Gulia took the chance to jump out of to avoid getting overwhelmed while unaware that Ryuko was waiting for her.

"Gotcha, bitch!" Ryuko shouted from behind as she slashed at Gulia and was countered by her rapier while Sora appeared to take aim.

"You're done!" Sora announced as a beam of light shot out from his staff at Gulia.

"I don't think so!" Gulia said as she snapped her fingers and another explosion erupted from underneath Ryuko and knocked her away, allowing for Gulia to dodge away from Sora's light beam in time while Gulia raised her sword above herself and a giant fireball formed above her. "I think it's time we've stopped playing! Brillant-!"

"Rahhhh!" Ryuko shouted as she suddenly reappeared to tackle Gulia to the ground and pinned before she could finish her attack. "Get her, Sora!"

"Ryuko, I could hit you!" Sora objected.

"Do it already!" Ryuko yelled as Gulia freed her hands to snap her fingers and another explosion erupted from under Sora and knocked him off his feet. "Sora!" She shouted before Gulia flipped her over and tossed Ryuko into a nearby crystal and soon had Gulia's rapier at her throat.

"You're a fortable little girl, aren't you?" Gulia taunted with a smile.

"How the hell did you do that? You weren't even near him!"

"You can thank my killer mines that I planted before the battle began. Stargrey always helps in the future, you try it before using brute force to solve everything."

"Who needs a plan when you're pissed off!" Ryuko said as her hand went towards the pin of the glove on her left hand. "Life fiber synchronize! Kamui Senketsu!" She announced as she pulled the pin on her glove and expected to go through a transformation and unleash her full power, however, nothing happened at all.

"Was something supposed to happen?" Gulia asked with a confused expression while worry came over Ryuko.

"Uh...think you could give a few moments? AHHH!" Ryuko shouted as a close range explosion sent her flying back through a series of crystals.

"Well, then. Now to finish off the sins, and then retrieve the princess and the boy." Gulia said as she turned to get Sora, only to see him with his mirage staff charging up with dozens of purple crystals that surrounded him as he prepared the spectral rays shotlock.

"Take this!" Sora announced as he released a barrage of light lasers that reflected off the crystals and bombarded Gulia while she tried to defend herself from the onslaught and managed to break away.

"Hmm, I wonder what kind of magic abily is that, and if it has something to do with why the grandmaster wants him." Gulia pondered, unaware the one of the sins had returned.

"Sandwhirl!" Diane shouted as she placed her hands on the ground and the floor underneath Gulia turned into quicksand underneath her. "Surprise! Us giants can take minerals and turn them into sand. Just a little fyi."

"Oh, I see. Most informative." Gulia said casually before her head sunk under the sand while Sora planted his staff into the ground and sank before rising upwards in the form of a tower with a couple of Sora clones and a sphere of light.

"Light!" Sora announced as light rays shined from the tower sphere and focused on the sand pit where Gulia was trapped and caused a series of explosions on top until Sora's transformation wore and the staff returned to keyblade form as the keyblade gave a thumbs up to the giantess. "We make a pretty good team." He said before Gulia suddenly rocketed out of the sand pit, still able to fight.

"I got her!" Diane said as she grabbed a nearby crystal and chucked at Gulia, only for the holy knight to touch the crystal with the tip of her rapier and caused another powerful explosion and knocked Diane down.

"You're turn." Gulia said as she charged forward at Sora with her rapier pointed forward to unleash another explosion, however, a certain former captain had jumped in the way instead.

"Full counter!" Meliodas said as he used the dragon handle to counter Gulia's attack and turned her explosion power on her.

"Yeah! That had to get her!" Sora cheered.

"I'm not so sure…" Meliodas said, much to the keyblade wielder's confusion.

"Huh?"

"He's right…" Gulia's voice said as the smoke cleared to reveal an unharmed Gulia. "I knew his full counter was coming, so I held back on my power."

"Oh come on! She's still playing around with us?" Sora said as he resumed his battle stance.

"She wanted to see what we could do. But now I think it's serious!" Meliodas said as he smiled in anticipation and Diane managed to get back up with more determination.

"Okay, fine! She wants serious? Then let's give it to her!" Diane said as she smashed her fist into her palm.

"Good to know. I rather feel quite lucky since I've already taken down two of you." Gulia said before sensing an attack from behind and quickly sliced an incoming ice crystal.

"Don't celebrate too soon…" A voice said as Gulia turned to see Satsuki who had returned to fight. "You should if your opponent is actually incaptaited or dead to truly claim victory."

"I see. But I'm not sure you can say that about the other girl though…"

"HEY BITCH!" An angry voice yelled as Gulia stepped to the side to avoid a fireball from Ryuko, who had returned to the fight as well. "I ain't dead yet! So come on!"

"Hmm, that is rather strange. An explosion at close range should've put you down for at least a week." Gulia noted, unaware of Ryuko's status of only being half human.

"Looks like everyone is done holding back now." Sora said as he quickly switched to the missing ache keyblade, with intention of going easy anymore as Gulia put her sword up.

"That's what I'd like to hear. I did kill myself to be here."

(The necropolis: Spirit's respite)

With Ban turned into a statue, King thought he might feel at peace with Elaine's supposed killer trapped in stone forever. But Ban's smiling petrified smile brought him only dissatisfaction instead.

"No word of repentance even at the very end, huh? That's so you, Ban…Them suffer, alone for all eternity. Never finding redemption, or peace, uneven to move a muscle, or to die." King said before his spear removed itself from Ban and reverted to its original form and the grizzly sins decided to leave for the living world now that he believed Ban had received punishment. As King was leaving, a series of light formed in front of Ban which the grizzly sin took notice of.

(Music: Destiny's union)

"What is that? Is this something Ban is doing? Right now, he should be totally powerless." King said before noticing that the lights were in the shape of a person, along a presence the grizzly sin was able to sense, one that he didn't feel in a long time as King's magic grip on his spear faded and dropped to the ground when King began faltering when he recognized the presence.

"Is it...Is it Elaine? Are you here?" King called out while anyone else who saw the lights could confirm that it was indeed the spirit of Elaine, who held Ban's frozen face with her hands before leaning in and kissed the bandit on the lips, and caused the stone around his body to suddenly shatter, freeing Ban.

"Hello, Elaine…" Ban greeted with a smile upon seeing the girl, much to King's shock.

"No, it can't be!"

"Ban, how on earth did you get that scar?" Elaine asked as Ban scoffed.

"I thought you guys watched over us from the other side."

"That voice, it's really her! Elaine, don't you recognize your brother? Please! Show yourself to me too!" King begged, hoping that Elaine would show her image to him.

"Let him see you." Ban said since he was starting to feel sorry for King despite the attempt on his life, while Elaine simply shook her head.

"You're in the necropolis, it's possible for the living and the dead to see each other again...But only when bound together by strong emotions." Elaine explained, much to King's shock when he realized why Elaine wasn't visible to him.

"I knew it was true. You're still mad, aren't you? That I abandoned you. You and the fountain, I turned my back and walked away." King said with guilt, and Elaine remained silent when the ground began shaking from Sora and the other's fight with Gulia, which Ban seemed to sense.

"No way, is that a holy knight?" Ban said as he turned to go towards the battle.

"No wait, Ban! Why did you come? What was the reason?" Elaine asked as Ban didn't turn towards her.

"Nothing much...I only wanted to tell you one thing...I'll take what's mine, I promise you that." Ban vowed to Elaine as she realized what he meant and began shedding tears from her eyes.

"Ban! What more can you take from her!" King shouted in anger, unaware of what he really meant.

"Thank you...Ban." Elaine thanked, much to King's confusion as Ban quickly dashed away to join the fight against Gulia while King fell to his knees.

"Why...I don't understand this...How can you forgive Ban, the man who stole everything from you? Destroyed the forest!"

"After you abandoned our country, I had to endure seven hundred years of total solitude. But he wiped away those seven hundred years of loneliness in just seven days. Ban knew you were my brother, so he deliberately egged you on, he let you spear him." Elaine said as King gasped in surprise upon realization before turning his head up and was able to see Elaine's image for the first time instead of lights. "He isn't the man you believe him to be.

"E-Elaine…"

(Necropolis: Field of the dead)

"Rah!" Sora shouted as he brought down his keyblade down on Gulia's rapier that she guarded against.

"Yahhhh!" Ryuko shouted as she dashed at Gulia from behind as she dragged her scissors along the ground before jumping forward with her weapon pointed forward before Gulia snapped her fingers and created a veil of smoke that cloud Ryuko's vision before pushing Sora away and jumped out of Ryuko's path.

"Gotcha!" Diane shouted as she quickly snached Gulia and held her in her grasp, seemingly trapping the holy knight before a glow flashed in the giantess' hand and an explosion blew Diane away as Gulia landed on the ground.

"I thought we were getting serious now, or this is you being serious?" Gulia taunted.

"Careful what you wish for!" Satsuki shouted before charging forward with bakuzan with a powerful thrust that Gulia guarded against before Satsuki suddenly lifted her sword in an upward arc that caught Gulia off guard and got lifted into the air, allowing Meliodas to follow up with a dive kick that knocked the holy knight into a crystal.

"Sora! She's all yours!" Meliodas shouted to the keyblade wielder, while he charged up a sphere of energy at the tip of his keyblade.

"Let's see her handle this!" Sora said before unleashing a cluster of energy bolts with ragnarok that flew at Gulia.

"Think that will be enough?" Gulia said as she shot an explosive sphere at the cluster in an attempt to stop it, only for the bolts to fly around the attack.

"What?!" Gulia said as the bolts collided with her and caused a firework-like explosion to erupt and destroy the crystal structure Gulia was on as pieces of it fell to the ground.

"That seemed to do it." Sora hoped, when suddenly the rubble blew away with Gulia still very much able to fight.

"Oh come on! What's it gonna take to keep you down, explosion bitch!" Ryuko said.

"I'm not sure myself. I am techecialy dead after all." Gulia said as he reared her rapier back, only to find herself struggling for her weapon when an invisible force was trying to take it as the holy knight turned around to see the recently arrived Ban with his arm out, seemingly responsible.

"Sorry about that, but I gotta stop you right there." Ban said.

"Ban! There you are!" Meliodas said.

"It's Ban the fox sin. Would you kindly let go of my rapier?" Gulia asked in a polite manner as she struggled against Ban's invisible grip.

"Hey, I take offense at that, lady. I'm not touching anything of yours." Ban said as his invisible grip tugged harder on Gulia's weapon, which caused to use both her hands to keep her rapier from flying away from her grip.

"Oh, I see. This is your magical ability, Snatch. Very well, I'll give you something more appropriate for a sneaky thief like yourself!" Gulia said as an explosive sphere shot out from her rapier and struck Ban in a large explosion. When the dust cleared, Ban was on the ground with multiple injuries and his shirt blown off.

"I had heard you were indestructible. But that should keep even you out of the fight for a little while." Gulia said while Ban smiled.

"Oh yeah? What about them?" Ban said, much to Gulia's confusion as she found her feet frozen in ice thanks to Satsuki.

"Get her now!" Meliodas shouted as he uppercutted Gulia out of the ice into the air, with Sora above her to smack the holy knight downward with a vertical slash from his keyblade while Ryuko waited on the ground, holding her scissors with a baseball bat and slammed the edge of her weapon into Gulia's stomach.

"Haaaahhh!" Ryuko shouted as she launched Gulia into a crystal as Sora and Meliodas chased after her.

"I don't think so!" Gulia said as she snapped her finger at the exact moment Sora and Meliodas thrusted with keyblade and fist forward when a cloud of smoke appeared, causing the two to miss when the holy knight vanished and then blown away when Gulia reappeared and struck them from behind.

"Captain!" Diane shouted as she caught Meliodas in her hands.

"Sora!" Ryuko shouted as well as she catched Sora and was knocked down by the catch.

"Is he alright?" Satsuki asked as he dashed over.

"Yeah, I think he's-AHH!" Ryuko shouted in embarrassment when she noticed that Sora's head was right between her chest, but the keyblade wielder seemed unaware as he leaned upwards and rubbed his head.

"Ow..What did I hit?" Sora asked as he noticed Ryuko's face was flushed. "What's up with you?'

"Nothing! Nothing at all!" Ryuko denied as Ban recovered.

"I know what's wrong with me at least." Ban said as he stood up.

"I admit, I'm impressed. Your indestructibility is very nice indeed." Gulia noted.

"Better believe it, no way you beat somebody you can't kill-ACK!" Ban choked as Gulia had thrusted her rapier into his throat.

"Unkillable and unbeatable are two different things!" Gulia said before causing another explosion that sent Ban flying.

"My turn!" Sora said as he switched the missing ache into a backwards position and transformed into wayward form, a formchange that allowed him to use the abilities of keyblade wielder, Ventus.

"Not yet, I still have to take of the sins before I turn to you." Gulia said as she unleashed another explosive sphere, but wasn't aimed at Sora, it was aimed at Meliodas, who was still being held onto by Diane.

"Guys, look out!" Sora warned as the sphere struck Diane and knocked her down in a larger explosion then before. However, the giantess was still conscious and was able to keep Meliodas undamaged.

"Hey Captain, you okay?" Diane asked.

"Yeah, thanks a lot Diane! Now take a rest!" Meliodas said as he jumped out of her hands and next to Sora.

"Ryuko, Satsuki. You should properly stay with her. Make sure Diane is alright!" Sora said as the sister nodded.

"We will. Beat her!" Satsuki said as Sora and Meliodas rushed forward at Gulia.

"This again?" Gulia said as she ignited the tip of her sword in flames and swung at Meliodas, who jumped over the attack and brought his leg down in a stomp attack, only to miss when the holy knight dodged and kicked the captain hard enough to send him flying.

"Hah!" Sora shouted as he attacked Gulia with a flurry of attack, which caught the holy knight off guard with fast spinning attacks. Whenever Gulia tried to fire another of her explosion attacks, Sora simply deflected them with a quick swing of his keyblade.

(He's not only faster, he fights completely differently. I'm almost fighting another person now.) Tell me something, is this a sacred treasure you're fighting me with?" Gulia asked between Sora's strikes.

"Don't even know what that is!" Sora admitted before he used a powerful cyclone spin that knocked Gulia back with great force that finally seemed to do real damage as the holy knight noticed that she received a scratch on her shoulder from the attack.

(Not a sacred treasure? Interesting..) Gulia thought as Ban suddenly reappeared and grabbed her arms in a lock from behind.

"Hey, kid! Took the shot!" Ban shouted as he held Gulia's arms in place.

"Got it!" Sora said as he prepared to fire off ragnarok yet again, not worrying about Ban since he knew the bandit couldn't be harmed by the blast. However, Gulia was prepared already.

"I don't think so!" Gulia before flicking her hand that held her rapier as one of her explosive spheres flew out around her and towards Sora, which struck him and stopped him from charging up ragnarok.

"Kid!" Ban shouted before Gulia suddenly heatbutted Ban, forcing him to let go of the holy knight and ended up getting impaled on her rapier.

"I guess not all legends aren't what they live up to. Especially if children have to get involved." Gulia said, when she suddenly sent flying back, by none other than King's spear that was sticking out from Ban's chest while the grizzly sin was standing on the handle of the weapon.

"Hello there, Ban." King greeted causally.

"Hey there, general King.." Ban greeted him back as Sora recovered from Gulia's attack.

"You again! Now's not the time for a grudge match!" Sora said as King simply raised his hand to claim the keyblade wielder down.

"Settle down. I'm here to save you, not to pick a fight." King stated, much to Sora's and Ban's surprise. "Although it is mostly for the captain and Diane."

"And there it is. But there has to be a reason you changed your mind." Sora said as King's face grew solom.

"It's because my sister cares about Ban a lot." King said as Sora was starting to put together a few pieces, Ban and King seemed to have both sought out for the necropolis for the same reason. Which he confirmed as he noticed a blonde girl in a white dress, Elaine, watching from far away while a pile of crystals suddenly exploded with Gulia standing on the debris.

"It's true your betrayal is not completely unexpected, yet, King the grizzly sin, I am rather disappointed." Gulia said.

"Well that's an unexpected thing to say to me. I did never swear to be your lifelong partner in whatever your plans were. The realm wanted to defeat the seven deadly sins, and I wanted to see Ban destroyed. We had neutral interest for a while. But that's no longer the case." King stated.

"Hold on a sec, does that mean you're on our side now?" Ryuko asked.

"It does."

"Blah blah blah. I'm tired of you talking behind my back." Ban said, considering King was literally talking behind the bandit's back while the tip of Gulia's rapier began sizzling again.

(Music: Final fantasy 7 remake ost: Those who fight further)

"Poor King. An entirely predictable excuse. Shot bomb!" Gulia announced as she flicked her rapier and a wave of spheres flew in King's direction while he waved his hand and his spear launched out of Ban's chest and left a large gaping hole.

"Ah, come on, King!" Ban complained as the spear flew around in a circular motion and destroyed the spheres, causing them to explode in midair, much to Gulia's interest.

"Maginaicant..Huh?!" Gulia gasped when she realized that Sora had slipped past her guard and held his keyblade ready.

"Hah!" Sora shouted as he performed a heavy swing that knocked Gulia back several feet.

"You don't have to fight now! Let me handle her." King said.

"Don't think so! I like to finish my fights!" Sora argued as Ryuko and Satsuki joined his side.

"Same here! We got unfinished business ourselves!" Ryuko agreed as she and her sister held their weapons ready and King sighed.

"Humans, always so stubborn…"

"Are you not human?" Satsuki said as she took another look at King and saw nothing that suggested he was anything other than human.

"No, I'm a fairy. The king to be exact. My real name is Harlequin, and I'm guessing none of you met a fairy before." King surmised.

"Actually, I only met one fairy before, and she didn't look anything like you." Sora said, thinking of Peter Pan's companion, Tinkerbell. As the conversan went on, Gulia had recovered from being attacked.

"Are we having small talk, or are you not in the middle of battle? If, so. I don't mind fighting all four of you at once." Gulia said as she held her rapier ready.

"Your funeral, holy knight." King said as he called his spear to his side.

"Fine then, whenever your-" Gulia said before King's spear suddenly zipped past her face at high speed, cutting her cheek in the process and surprising her. (Did I misread him?)

"That's no good. Try to dodge at least." King said as he waved his hand and his spear redirected back at Gulia and flew at her again which the holy knight dodged in time when the weapon lodged itself into the ground.

"What speed and power!" Gulia noted the difference in King's and the sin's strength, but that was the least of her worries as Sora took the chance to charge at her.

"Take this!" Sora shouted as he unleashed a quick flurry of blows that Gulia defended against while King directed his spear at the holy knight again, which forced her to divide her attention as she deflected the spear, which was an opening Sora needed.

"Thunder!" The keyblade wielder shouted as bolts of lightning struck Gulia and electrified her, causing her body to lock up as Ryuko charged in and punched the holy knight away, while Satsuki took the chance to jump in and exchange blows with the holy knight.

"We'll ask you once more. Who sent you after Sora?" Satsuki demanded as she traded blows between Bakuzan and Gulia's rapier.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you tell you that!" Gulia said before she sensed another attack from behind and saw King's spear flying at her, causing the holy knight to dodge the weapon and jumped up a giant crystal structure while deflecting the spear at the same time until reaching the top and used an explosive wave to stop the weapon causing to fall before King caught with his invisible grip.

"I guess she's going to stop playing around." King guessed which was confirmed as Gulia held her rapier above her head and a giant explosive sphere formed above, ready for attack.

"Brillant detonation!" Gulia announced before the giant sphere releashed smaller flares that rained downward.

"Incoming! Find cover!" Satsuki warned, only for King to raise his hand.

"No need. Chastiefol fifth configuration: Increase!" King announced as his spear glowed before transforming into a swarm of smaller spears that countered the falling flares before they could hit the ground, nullifying Gulia's attack.

"Impossible!" Gulia shouted.

Let's end this!" Sora exclaimed as he raised his keyblade above his head as it became coated in light and formed a giant blade and swung it downward and slammed it on the ground, creating a shockwave that traveled along the ground and up the crystal structure and struck Gulia.

"AHHHHH!" Gulia screamed as an explosion of light enveloped her and destroyed the structure, seemingly defeating the holy knight as the crystals crumbled.

"Whew, looks like it's over now." Sora said as he reverted from wayward form and was able to relax, believing the fight was over.

"I have to admit, the three of you are quite strong for human beings. You were also able to keep up with chastiefol." King said.

"We've seen our fair share of battles." Satsuki said.

"Hey!" a familiar voice called out as the group turned to see Hawk and Elizabeth charging in now that it was safe. "You guys are creating a ruckus!"

"Nobody got hurt, did they?" Elizabeth asked as Hawk stopped and let the princess off.

"We're all good. There's no need to worry, and you should've seen Sora, Ryuko, Satsuki. They fought that holy knight off by themselves, even before King helped out." Meliodas stated.

"Really? I can't believe I missed so much."

"Come to think of it, can you guys fight the holy knights by yourself?" Diane asked, wondering how strong Sora and his friends really were.

"Well, we could. But you guys usually step in." Ryuko answered as Ban raised his eyebrow.

"Is there something you guys aren't telling us?" Ban asked, easily sensing that Sora and the two sisters were hiding something.

"Why would they, Ban. We asked them to come along with us." Meliodas said as King looked surprised.

"Wait, so the rumors are true?! You actually did hire children?!" King asked as Meliodas nodded his head and the fairy hung his head.

"Unbelievable, captain…" King said when Gulia suddenly emerged from the debris, still able to stand.

"At a range as close as this…" Gulia said as she charged at the unprepared King with her rapier charged up. "Even the power of the spirit spear can't save from me!"

*Ding!*

"Back at 'cha!" Meliodas said after suddenly appearing between King and Gulia and used full counter on her attack.

"Damn! Full counter!" Gulia cursed as her own attack was reversed upon herself and blew her away in a giant explosion, all the way back to the living world.

"Oh damn. I felt that one." Ryuko said, seeing the size of the explosion.

"I no longer sense her presence. We might've finally got her." Satsuki stated when Elaine suddenly appeared next to Ban.

"The force of that blast properly sent her back to the living world. You all came here as flesh and blood, but she seemed to have been here in spirit only." Elaine explained.

"AHH!" Hawk screamed when his ears were covered in particles of light. "My ears are disappearing!"

"On no,Hawk!" Elizabeth said before she noticed her arms were covered in the strange light. "Wait, now the same thing is happening to me. What's going on?!"

"Tell me, is it better after I do this?" Meliodas asked as he groped Elizabeth's chest and then had his head grabbed hard by Ryuko.

"Are you seriously doing that now?!" Ryuko said before smashing his face into the ground.

"Ah! Now I got it!" Diane exclaimed as her fingers were covered in the light too while everyone else had lights on parts of their bodies too.

"The necropolis senses you don't belong here. So now it's beginning to push everyone out." A familiar voice said as everyone turned to Ellen and her brother standing before, only now as spirits instead of living beings. "That was great! You saw who you hoped to see!"

"Holy shit! You two were ghosts the whole time?!" Ryuko exclaimed, while Sora and even Satsuki were surprised.

"This is a first…" Sora said, realizing this was the first time he'd ever encountered ghosts before.

"What are the two of you doing here?" Ban asked.

"Hold it, so does it mean that the two of you were from here the whole time?" King asked.

"The food you made for us was really yummy. Thank you so much!" Ellen thanked the bandit as he couldn't help but smile.

"Sure…" Ban said before turning to Eliane and realized he now had to say goodbye.

"I'm glad I got to see you, Ban." Elaine said.

"Later, Elaine…" Ban said before Elaine turned to King, who looked away in shame.

"Thank you, brother, for protecting him." Elaine said as King shed a few tears and then suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Sora.

"You'll see her again somehow. I know it." Sora assured as King looked surprised at the keyblade wielder's kindness and then couldn't help but form a small smile.

"Thank you, I guess…" King thanked as Sora looked over to Ban and Elaine and couldn't help but see himself and Kairi in them. However, his thoughts were broken when he noticed a figure approaching in the distance, a familiar figure that he was surprised to see. A young man with silver hair who wore clothes similar to Sora with his most prominent feature that stood out were his eyes with one being red and one blue.

"Who's that guy?" Meliodas asked as Sora's eyes grew wide in surprise.

"It can't be!" Sora exclaimed, right before the whole group vanished in a flash of light, returning to the world of the living, leaving the young man alone in the necropolis.

"Well that was weird. The first people I see, and they vanish on me…" The young man said. This man was Yozora, the main character of Verum rex, who wasn't supposed to exist.

"Who are you? How do you get here?" Elaine asked.

"Someone who's passing though looking for someone. I have to ask, are any of you Sora?" Yozora asked as Elaine and the ghost siblings shook their head to answer.

"Figures…" Yozora sighed before sensing a dark presence behind him and turned to see a dark portal that had opened up as the marauder walked out after surviving being crushed.

"Brother! It's that monster again!" Ellen said in fear as she held on to her brother.

"Monster, huh? Certainly looks the part." Yozora said as the marauder summoned his keyblade and transformed it into it's energy axe form as Yozora quickly drew a high tech crossbow and pointed it at the unversed.

"I think you need to go, you're scaring the kids." Yozora said before he drew a high tech sword with a glowing edge in his left hand.

"RAHHHHHHH!" The marauder roared as it charged at the young man.

"Let's do this!" Yozora said before firing his crossbow while Elaine and the ghost children witnessed a fierce clash.

(Tala village)

After the light covered the group's vision and it faded away, they found themselves back in tala village in the world of the living where the entrance to the necropolis was, leaving Elaine and the ghost siblings behind.

"Elaine…" King whispered to himself, already missing his sister.

"It looks like we're back in our own world again." Meliodas observed.

"That place totally weirded me out!" Diane said as Elizabeth turned around and gasped.

"AH!" Elizabeth shouted as everyone turned to see Gulia, with her hand still in her chest.

"Again?!" Ryuko said as she and Sora drew their weapons, while Satsuki observed that the holy knight was completely still and unmoving.

"Hold on a minute, something is off." Satsuki said as Sora seemed to notice it too.

"I'll take a look…" Sora said as he slowly approached the unmoving Gulia to snap his fingers, only to get no response, even when he poked Gulia's face with his keyblade. "Guess she didn't make it back yet."

"I say we kill her while we got the chance." Ban suggested.

"Don't be barbaric, I'll just petrify her." King said while Meliodas had other ideas.

"Take it easy, I'll handle this." Meliodas said as he took out a marker from his pocket, which Ryuko smiled at.

"Finally, something I like about you!" Ryuko said as she joined up with the captain to draw on the holy knight's face.

"Here I thought she would never get along with Meliodas." Sora said.

"I'm surprised, myself." Satsuki agreed as Sora turned around to see Ban staring at the entrance to the necropolis in silence and decided to approach the bandit.

"You miss her already, huh?"

"What's it to you, kid?" Ban asked.

"Because...I know what it's like to be separated from the one you care about most." Sora said, which caught Ban's attention. "She's not gone like Elaine is, but I'm on my own journey to find her and bring her home. I have a feeling you'll find a way too."

"Heh, I guess you and me have something in common, kid. We just can't let go…" Ban said as he looked upwards at the sky and Sora pulled out Kairi's wayfinder charm.

"Yeah, guess we do..."

(Flashback)

With his newly acquired immortality, Ban was able to defeat and kill the red demon, but not before it was able to burn down the fairy king's forest, leaving nothing behind but ashes and what was left of the center at the center of the forest, including the dying Elaine in the bandit's arms.

"Take this…" Elaine said as she handed Ban a single seed, the only seed that survived the fire. "It's the last seed of this forest….Plant it somewhere safe…"

"No! You can do it yourself! Stay with me!" Ban begged as Elaine;s eyes swelled up with tears, knowing her time was up.

"This forest...It knew...It knew you would protect it…"

"Who gives a damn about the forest?! Hold on, Elaine!"

"I was, happier than I've ever been...When you said you were going to take me away from this solitude. Please...Please say it to me again...But properly this time…" Elaine requested as she held Ban's face.

"You got it. Elaine, I'm gonna take you-" Ban vowed when Elaine's arm suddenly fell limb, and her eyes closed for the last time as the tears Ban was holding back were let loose.

"...Let me finish, Damn it…."
