Too Many Surprises For One Day

Red Forman has had enough. He walks to the kitchen and out to the garage. First Steven and now Laurie and the foreigner. He can't even say what exactly it is that he is feeling. Is he really that bad of a father?

Meanwhile in the living room Kitty Forman has taken command.

"Donna will you please take Jackie downstairs and see that she get's some rest. Steven, will you take Michael to the kitchen and talk to him about your other business. Eric, go to the garage and talk to your father. If he looks like he's having another heart attack come and get me right away. Laurie and Fez you two are going to sit on that couch and we are all going to have a long talk." Says a very agitated, but very happy Kitty Forman.

Everyone does exactly as they are told. No one dares mess with Mrs Forman when she uses that tone. She is an easy going person but she has a drill instructor personality that she uses when needed.

Everyone except Lauri and Fez make their way to the kitchen before dispersing to their assigned areas. Donna and Eric share a quick private moment, while Jackie, Steven and Michael talk about having a get-together to celebrate Formans homecoming. Even though he's only been gone for a few weeks.

Eric heads out to the garage. He really needs to talk to his dad. He has never been a fan of Laurie and that's no secret, but this was different. She really needs her family, and he was going to do his best to help her.

Red looks up as Eric walks into the garage. "Dad, we really need to talk."

"Eric, where did you find Laurie?" Red asks in an even voice.

"I found her while attending the African Educators seminar in New York City. It was my third day there. She was a server for the catering company that was working the seminar."

"What do you mean your third day? You have been gone for three weeks. Why did you not call me right away when you found your sister." Red demands.

"Well to be honest Laurie told me that if I called you or mom she would up and leave again. I didn't want to take the chance of that happening. I didn't know why she was so scared or what was going on. Then she showed up the next day after work with her little guy."+

"Why would she do that? Why would she run away from her family? Did you know that your sister was still married to Tonto?"

"I didn't know that she was still married to Fez. If I had known back then I would have definitely burned her with that. I do know why she didn't come back when she found out that she was pregnant, and why I had a hard time convincing her to come home."

"Why"

"There is really no easy way to say this so hear me out before you blow up, because all we need is for you to have a heart attack."

"Spill it now Eric"

"Look, let me just say that first of all Laurie is really a good mom. I would have never believed it, but seeing her with Willy is just wild. She had a few valid reasons. She said she didn't want to disappoint you and mom again. She also said that she didn;t want to be a single mom in a small town. Laurie doesn't care about what people say about her,but she won't have anyone talking about her son. Lastly she thought you would reject Willy because he's Fez's son."

Red cannot believe what he's hearing. "How could she think that?"

"Really Dad?" We all saw what happened when they got married. I mean you had a heart attack."

""Eric, I am the way I am. I make no excuses for that. Do you mean to tell me that you kids think that I could ever be so disappointed in you that I would turn my back on you? On my family. If that's what you, Laurie and Steven think of me then you don't really know me at all."

Eric feeling a little choked up doesn't know what to think. His Dad has never been one to waiver or show emotion, unless that emotion was anger.

Meanwhile in the Kitchen

Donna, Jackie, Hyde and Kelso are all in the kitchen. None of them can believe what they have just witnessed. LAURIE and FEZ are parents.

Hyde pulls Jackie in for a quick hug. He gives her a kiss on the forehead and tells her he will be downstairs in a little bit. Donna and Jackie make their way down to Hyde's room so she can finally lay down before she falls down.

Hyde asks Kelso if Sam said anything that might help him get out of this mess. He needs to get his crap figured out before it messes him and Jackie up for good.

"Hyde man, that stripper is up to something. I heard her talking this Jimmy Bologna guy on the phone, She said that it wasn't easy convincing you that you guys are really married"

Hyde cannot believe what he's hearing," Kelso are you sure this guy is named Bologna?"

Kelso starts flapping his arms "Dude now is not the time to talk about lunchmeat, I need to concentrate,"

"Okay, Okay calm down Michelle. Just spit it out already." Hyde says through clenched teeth.

Kelso glares at Hyde. Dammit Hyde you know there's no way to make Hyde into a girl's name.

"For the 10th time, it's HIEDI"

"Oh yeah I keep forgetting, So Heidi, I heard her say, "Which dad owes you, the black one or the white one?"

"So she's trying to convince me that we are married, because one of my dad's owes this Jimmy guy." Hyde is furious.

Hyde knows it can't be Red, He can;'t believe that WB would owe anyone money and not pay them. Just to be sure he decides to call WB and to let him know what Kelso found out. Good thing too. WB said this was all starting to make a lot of sense now. He said he remembers being in Vegas a while back and playing in a high stakes poker game. He said he in fact met a guy by the name of Jimmy Malone, not Jimmy Bologna, freaking Kelso. He said he would stop by tomorrow and we could figure out a plan with the Formans.

Hyde owed Kelso. He really came through, when he needed him most.

"Thanks Kelso"

"It's the least I could do after the whole mess I created."

"Look man, we already talked about that. True your little stunt in Chicago didn't help but it's not all your fault either." Hyde had to concede that all of his problems were not Kelso's fault.

Meanwhile in the Living Room

Kitty calms Willy while Laurie fans a very confused Fez who has made it to the couch. Laurie, feeling slightly overwhelmed, doesn't know where to begin. She really hopes she can find the words to help him understand.

"Mom, Do you think you can take Willy upstairs and give him a bath and get him ready for bed for me? I was just about to get him ready for his bath when you guys showed up. All of his stuff is upstairs in my old room."

"Well of course I can, Laurie." Kitty says, sounding bubbly even to her own ears. Kitty makes her way to the bottom of the stairs. "Laurie, after you and your husband finish talking, I would like for us to have a talk too dear." Kitty walks over to the couch, Laurie stands up, and the two embrace. Kitty feels like this is the first time in a very long, long time that she and Laurie are reconnecting. Lord knows that Kitty loves her daughter, even if their relationship has been strained at times in the past. Kitty makes her way upstairs.

Fez is using this time to gain his composure. He has a lot of questions, and he needs answers. He wants to know why Laurie would keep his son away from him.

"Fez, I know you must have a lot of questions, and you're probably really mad at me. Just give me a chance to explain."

"I'm listening." Snaps a very frustrated Fez

"When I left, I went to see a friend from college in Madison. I told her how we had married so you could get your green card. We got to talking and she told me that she had noticed a change in me. She said that before I was a selfish person and that she could never imagine me doing something like that for just anyone and that you must be a very special person."

"Laurie, get to the part where you go off and have my baby and forget to tell me."

"Fez please listen, I promise I'm getting there. At first I didn't want to believe what my friend Kathy was telling me, but the more we talked the more I realized it was true. I was just about to come home and talk to you about how I was feeling, and maybe postpone our divorce, when I realized that my period was late. I went to a clinic to take a test. My first thought was that you would never believe me when I told you that it was yours."

"You didn't even try"

"How could I, having behaved so badly after we first married. I could barely wrap my head around it myself. Even then I still wanted to come back and talk to you. I called your house to see if we could talk and Caroline answered. She told me that you were better off without me and she let me know that she was with you now. I figured that I had messed your life up enough. I didn't want to mess up your relationship."

"Laurie what are you talking about? I haven't seen Caroline since you and I got married."

"Fezzy, I wouldn't lie about that. I swear I called your house and Crazy Caroline answered the phone."

"Fine so lets say you believed her, Why would that stop you from coming back? You have never cared about people's relationships before."

"That was before Fez, I have never really been in love before. If she made you happy I didn't want to get in the way. The thought of coming home, ruining your happiness, and letting my parents down was too much. I didn't want to give my dad another heart attack."

"So you didn't come so that Mr Red wouldn't have another heart attack, and also so I could be happy with Caroline? I don't believe you. I think you were just embarrassed to have a baby by the creepy foreigner. Isn't that right? "

Laurie cannot believe what she's hearing. How is she going to make him understand? She left for love. She loved him, she loved her parents, and she loved her baby boy.

"Fezzy, that's just not true. Listen to me, I love you. I was really going to come home and try to work things out. After that phone call, I made a few decisions. I wanted our baby to have his daddy's last name. So I moved away so that neither you nor my parents couldn't find me and make me sign those divorce papers. I started working for a caterer in New York. I found a small place that I could afford and just began to get ready for our little man's arrival. Every Time I got down, or was lonely I just kept telling myself that I would ruin things for you by coming home."

"You are not ashamed of me, and you want to be my wife?" Fez is feeling something he never

"Yes…more than anything"

"Laurie, can you please take me to meet my son."

Meanwhile Upstairs

To say Kitty Forman is on cloud nine is putting it mildly. A grandson, she can hardly wrap her head around the fact that she and Red are already grandparents. Things haven't exactly been working out the way she had imagined them but in a way they are better.

Lori is after all married, and appears to really want to work on her marriage with Fez. Steven and Jackie are working out their problems. Eric is home which means that finally, she has all of her children at home.

Kitty is finally finished getting her grandson, William dressed after his bath. She can hear Lori and Fez talking on their way up the stairs. She doesn't want to let the little man go but she understands that he needs his mommy and now his daddy too.

"Well look who we have here Willy, it's your mommy and your daddy." Kitty tells Fez to sit in the chair. She hands him his son for the first time. She assures him that he's doing great. She decides to give them some time alone. She kisses Fez on the head, and turns to give Lori a hug. Lori asks her mom if she can warm Willy's bottle up.

Kitty makes her way to the kitchen, where she finds three of her favorite guys. She puts some water on the stove to heat up so she can get Willy's bottle ready. She is listening to the guys talk about Steven's stripper wife and that guy they think is the mastermind. She has this feeling that she just can't shake, there is something, or someone else behind this whole mess that they are just not seeing.

Vegas

Jimmy Malone is pissed. He picks his phone up to call his so-called new friends. They have some explaining to do. First they told him that WB would be easy to beat at the poker tournament, but instead he ended up losing big. Then they helped him come up with a plan to get his money back. They are actually the ones that told him that that Hyde kid was Barnett's son. It was just a stroke of luck that Sam picked him out of the crowd to scam.

Someone finally picks up on the other end, "Budd you and Edna have some explaining to do. Your wife said getting this money from Hyde and Barnett would be like taking candy from a baby. Well she was wrong, and now I want to know, how are you two planning to get me my fucking money ."
