A/N: After two years, we've finally come to an end, my dear fellow SevMione shippers! I had written the first few chapters of this story when the COVID-19 started to get the worries off my mind. It has been a great honour to share this story with you. I loved writing Leo. He's so much like my son - also asking for a baby brother. But unlike Hermione, we haven't been blessed with a second one yet.

Thank you for keeping up with me and "Leo". See you in the following stories!

The Final Chapter:

March 26, 1997

(five years ago)

Hermione was sitting in the rocking chair, holding her newborn son to her chest, nursing him.

Sebastian Richard Snape. They had named him after the "Twelfth Night" character, Sebastian - twin brother of Viola. Hermione and Severus agreed to honour Chad, her second father; the man who raised her after she was cursed to infancy; another great man aside from Robert Puckle, Richard Granger. Chad was ecstatic and declared the newborn 'the son he never had'.

Bastian had Leo's black curls, Hermione's eyes and nose, and Sev's grumpiness (according to Eileen). He looked like Leo - probably because he was supposed to be Leo, born at a different time. Leo, on the other hand, was over the moon when his brother was born. He always wanted to look after him and show his affection.

Bastian was born six days ago at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She woke up in the morning in pain. She woke up late, and Severus was already teaching. Leo was not in their quarters and she guessed he was already playing outside. Poppy asked her to go on maternity leave a week early, so she didn't have to work and get up early in the morning. She could feel she was going to give birth any minute now, so she dressed up and walked out of their quarters to Sev's classroom in the dungeons. Sev was discussing the Garish pink blended poison to sixth-year NEWT students which included her friends when Hermione banged the door open and yelled: "Class dismissed!"

Harry and Ron were sitting close to the door, so they got to her first since Severus was on the opposite side of the room. They held her until Sev carried her in his arms and took her to the hospital wing. After four hours, they finally met Bastian. Her family - the Puckles and the Grangers and Eileen were allowed to visit to see the newest member of the family. The next day, her friends came by - Remus (with Tonks), Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Neville. Her friends at the ministry sent cards, and gifts for her and Bastian. They also named Remus Bastian's godfather. Her old friend blushed furiously and muttered something she didn't understand, but Tonks was beside him and she declared that they were happy to be Bastian's godparents. At first, Hermione was confused, but then, Tonks lifted her left hand and Hermione saw something glittering. Remus and Tonks were getting married in December, during the Christmas hols. Molly and Arthur also visited, admitting that they missed Leo, but also brought handmade clothes for Bastian. Hermione heard from Molly that Bill and Fleur were planning to get married as well. Molly also said she already met Percy's new girlfriend (apparently, the future mother of little Molly from Leo's time).

After nursing Bastian and when he was finally asleep, Hermione carefully laid him in his crib and silently left her children's room. She went to the sitting area and cleared the toys lying around. She found their wedding album lying open on the coffee table. She smiled, sure that Leo took it from the shelf. He loved looking at his parents' wedding photos.

Hermione sat on the couch and held the album on her lap. She and Severus got married at the Burrow. They had originally planned to just go to the Ministry and have the new Minister for Magic bond them, but Molly and Arthur offered their humble abode as the venue of their wedding since it happened in Leo's parents' time.

It was a simple ceremony held on the 9th of June, 1996. Only their families and close friends were invited. Leo, dressed in blue wizard's robes just like his father, stood in between his parents when Hermione and Severus were signing the papers, making them Mr and Mrs Snape, officially, along with the late-filed certificate of birth of Leontes Robert Snape. It was a happy day. The only thing that made Hermione a bit down that day was the fact that her oldest friends, Alice and Frank, were not there to witness her and Severus's special day. However, Neville was there to represent his parents. Chad was chosen by Severus to be his best man, and of course, Mona was Hermione's matron of honour.

She finally had the opportunity to hang out with Mona on weekends and introduce her to everyone in the wizarding world as her sister. In the muggle world, Hermione Granger was still known as the daughter of Desdemona and Richard Granger, of course. But as far as the muggles were concerned, Hermione Granger was living abroad.

The door creaked open, revealing two of her three favourite wizards. Leo was all sweaty and chatty, telling Severus about the plants he learned in Professor Sprout's greenhouse. Severus looked pleased when Leo identified the magical plants used for certain potions.

"You're learning a lot," she mused, wiping her son's sweaty forehead with a face towel. "Are you sure you don't want to go to Aunt Alona's and play with Philip on weekends, even for a couple of hours?" she asked. Alona's youngest son, Philip was about Leo's age. The two little wizards seemed to get along when they were first introduced last year. Since Hermione started working at Hogwarts, three days a week (usually weekdays), Leo would Floo to Alona's place and play with Phil for a couple of hours.

"No, Mummy. I love being here on weekends," Leo replied politely. "It's family day. I want to be here with you, Dada, and Bastian."

"That's wonderful, love. You're very sweet."

"Can I go and see Bastian now? I'll be very quiet, Mummy."

"Of course, love. Wash your hands first and change your clothes before you kiss him, all right?" she reminded her son.

"Yes, Mummy!" he replied before running to the bathroom.

"She's right dear. It's family day," Sev quipped, sitting beside her. "Black was just being such a girl, not knowing what to do with his Floo."

After breakfast earlier, they got an owl from Sirius, asking for Sev's help with his Floo network at his new shop in Hogsmeade.

She giggled. "What was Siri's problem?"

"That brilliant friend of yours couldn't figure out what the problem was. In his application form for the Floo Network, he misspelt his own name."

"What?" she laughed.

"He was supposed to say 'Sirius Orion Black's Hogsmeade private room'."

"That's quite a mouthful."

"Well, he's not the only one registered as Sirius Black, so he has to include his middle name. However, he wrote: Sirius Arian Black on his application form. He wrote his name in cursive handwriting, instead of in print. He didn't realize it until I saw the form."

She laughed with tears in her eyes. "Oh... Just wait until I come to visit you, Sirius Arian Black. I bet you scolded him like a student."

Sev rolled his eyes. "Obviously. He apologized for interrupting my morning with my family." Severus wrapped an arm around her waist, pulled her closer, and planted a kiss on her temple. "He's lucky I didn't hex him or his balls."

She giggled, snuggling close to her husband. "You wouldn't do that because that would upset me. He's one of my best friends. You love me."

Sev faked a sneer. "Obviously. Since 1970."

"And I'm a lucky witch!" she grinned.

September 1, 2002

(present time)

Leontes Robert Snape had been a resident of Hogwarts from late 1995 to mid-1998. He had wandered into the castle halls, memorized the portraits, and had been invited to have meals at different house tables. His only brother, Sebastian, was born there and spent the first year of his life at Hogwarts. They left in June 1998, when Dad finally resigned from his post as Potions Master and Head of Slytherin House, and Mummy was replaced by Miss Hannah Abbott. Mummy was now working at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries as a healer, and Dad was a freelance researcher and Potioneer. He mainly brewed for Uncle Sirius's shop in Hogsmeade.

Hogsmeade - a village he was also very familiar with, just like Hogwarts. He used to visit the different shops either with his parents or Uncle Sirius and Uncle Moony who were residents there.

Today, he would be returning to these places - Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Today was the first day of his formal magical education, and boy, he was nervous.

Was Dad expecting him to be Sorted to Slytherin? Or would Ravenclaw be acceptable for him? After all, Mum was a Ravenclaw first. He wouldn't be disappointed if he ended up being a Gryffindor, would he? Gryffindor was his mum's second house. He was welcomed by Gryffindors at their table and even to their tower when he was a little boy. Once or twice, he got invited to the Gryffindor house celebrations.

But what if, he ended up in Hufflepuff? Dad didn't say anything negative about Hufflepuff. In fact, according to Mum, Dad preferred Hufflepuffs to Gryffindors when they were students because of Auntie Alice. Auntie Alice was the kindest and gentlest witch he knew. She had a pure heart. Perhaps, Dad wouldn't be disappointed...

"Love, what are you thinking of?"

Leo looked up and met his mother's eyes. They were eating breakfast. His things were packed. His trunk was ready, and Mum made sure last night that he hadn't forgotten anything.

He gave her a smile and turned to Bastian who was sitting across from him, munching a piece of bacon. He smirked at his brother. "Just thinking, maybe Bastian is happy now that he has the room to himself."

But Bastian pouted. "No! I don't want to sleep in the room alone."

He rolled his eyes, making his father chuckle. "You can do it. When I was five years old, I slept alone in that room."

"And in his room at Hogwarts," informed Dad.

"And when I was born, we shared a room, right?" Bastian smiled.

"Yes. For the first time in five years, I will sleep peacefully, not hearing you wail at night," he smirked.

But Bastian shook his head. "I know you will miss me. Mum and Dad said you kept on asking them for a baby brother when you were my age. You love me."

Their parents laughed. "He's right, love," Mum said.

He smiled at last. "Fine. I'm going to miss you too, midget."

"Hey! I will be tall like you when I'm older!" Bastian declared.

"How are you sure?" he teased.

"Because I eat a lot, and I look like you! I will be just like you! Strong, smart, and kind."

.

Hermione smiled at her children, teasing each other over breakfast. Normally, she would ask them to avoid teasing each other and bantering over meals, but today, Leo would be leaving for Hogwarts. It would be just the three of them until December - her, Sev, and Bastian. She felt a pang of sadness. Maybe this was how her parents felt and Mona and Chad when she went to Hogwarts in 1971 and 1991.

She felt Sev's arms around her from behind, then he kissed her cheek. "He will be fine. Moony and Neville will be there for him. They promised to guide him. And of course, Minerva."

She returned the kiss. "I know," she whispered. "Thank you."

Sev just smiled and hugged her closer.

"Sev?"

"Yeah?"

She pulled away a bit to meet his eyes. "I love this. I love our life."

Sev kissed her nose. "Me, too, dear. Me, too."
