Age 511, Planet Sadala, Universe 7
Peparia was really getting sick of Lottus. For the past 5 years, this girl had been doing everything she could to beat Peparia at everything they did, despite Peparia's obvious superiority over this girl. For their age group, Peparia was the one who had near complete control over the Great Ape form, the only thing Peparia couldn't do in that form was talk, something that even adults had trouble with. But everything else, from following commands to flying to firing ki blasts to strategizing in combat, Peparia's control over the Great Ape was unmatched.
Peparia was also far better in school. Her grades in her classes were the highest in her year, with near perfect scores on everything she did. Lottus? Yeah, she was doing the same, but Peparia knew that she struggled with the content.
She was also a far better fighter. Despite never meeting in the children's tournaments, they'd both participating in, Peparia always made it to the semifinals, but Lottus almost never did. In fact, Peparia had recently won her first tournament, something that Lottus would never be able to do!
And while both presented well whenever they were taken to noble house gatherings, Peparia knew she had better manners and presented better to the rest of the nobility. Yes, both acted like the nobles they were, but Peparia knew she was just simply better at it.
But what really angered Peparia was the strange feelings she started feeling lately. For example, she started to find Lottus' smell wonderful, in a way she couldn't fully explain. It wasn't like she was wearing a perfume that Peparia liked or anything. In fact, at this point in their lives, neither girl really found any situation to do so. They were more concerned with training their minds and bodies as they continued to develop at this time in their lives.
What also angered Peparia about Lottus was the fact that she couldn't stop thinking about her. She would flush with heat whenever Lottus entered the room, and sometimes, her stomach felt strange. She couldn't sleep or eat sometimes, though those moments tended to pass quickly.
Peparia didn't understand why she felt this way sometimes, and this angered her even further. She just wanted to beat the crap out of this girl, to get all this anger out, but something stayed her hand every time they got confrontational. And when they were forced to part ways, Peparia felt embarrassed about how she felt.
One thing was for sure; this would come to a head eventually. And Peparia would be ready when it happened.
