"Hakai," Peparia calmly said as she destroyed a piece of katchin. Even though Beerus was her trainer, Whis was there to assist him in creating objects for Peparia to destroy as she learned to master the Hakai. And Peparia would need to master the Hakai in order move forward in her training.

"Well done," Beerus said, watching the precision of Peparia's Hakai destroy only the katchin block, and nothing else. "Not even Vegeta was able to master the technique as quickly as you have."

"Thank you, 'Lord' Beerus," Peparia said, hating that she was using the honorific. She still didn't like the lazy cat, but he deserved the honor since he was putting in the time and effort to make Peparia stronger.

"Now, let's see how well your Destruction form is coming along," Beerus said, shaking his finger derisively toward Peparia. "After all, I can't have the Time Patrol's destroyer be without such a state, now, can I?"

Peparia nodded, knowing that Beerus meant her version of Ultra Ego. She thought of Beerus' mantra, "before creation comes destruction", and focused on it. She had to immerse herself in her desire for battle, to crush her enemies and see them strewn before her, to see them utterly and completely defeated before finally destroying them.

As her ki changed from her basic Saiyan ki to that of a Destroyer, Peparia also remembered the weakness of the form; to immerse herself into her Saiyan nature so completely also meant that she didn't notice the damage her body was taking until it was far too late. She must walk the razor's edge, feeding on her desire to destroy while recognizing it for what it was and countering it with her higher self.

Eventually, after being enveloped by the opaque flames of destruction, Peparia's form took shape. Her hair, as well as her tail, took on a tyrian purple that matched her newfound mastery over the Hakai. She had also bulked up slightly, her muscles becoming more defined as well. Her eyes changed from her standard dark brown to a magenta.

"Good!" Beerus said gleefully. "Good. Now, come at me with all you've got! Let's see how long you can last before your body gives out!"

Peparia smirked, knowing exactly what Beerus was referring to; Ultra Ego's biggest weakness was the fact that Peparia barely felt any pain in this state. Or rather, her mind barely acknowledged the pain as she took damage, since taking damage in this form only made her stronger. She needed to keep an eye on the damage she was taking so not to take any unnecessary risks.

However, she was not about to disappoint Beerus by hesitating. She rushed in and clocked the God of Destruction straight in the jaw. Her punch was powerful enough to knock the cat back, though not enough to disorientate him.

Beerus smirked as well, returning the favor by nailing Peparia with a punch to the abdomen, a blow that Peparia just tanked. Beerus punched her again and again and again in the abdomen, only for Peparia to grin wider and wider before rearing back with a headbutt, nailing the god in the nose before retreating herself.

Peparia took stock of her injuries as Beerus himself recovered. She touched her abdomen, looking for any lumps that would indicate broken or sensitivity that would indicate any organ damage. Once satisfied with her assessment, she began to swish around the fluid in her mouth, tasting for any blood that she might have spit up from internal wounds.

Once she was satisfied with her assessment, she playfully stared down Beerus after he had also regained his composure. She rushed him again, only to disappear right before she was about to strike, leaving an afterimage to confuse the cat. And in the moment when Beerus was about to turn to face Peparia, she struck him with an elbow to the back, followed by a left sidewinder punch to send the cat back.

Having actually done some damage this time, she rushed in again, only for the cat to grab Peparia's face and slam it into the dirt. After a couple punches to ensure that Peparia would pay for her impertinence, Beerus kicked Peparia across the ground, causing her to go headfirst into a tree.

Peparia got to her feet, and immediately noticed that she was favoring her left leg. She stepped down as hard as she could, and immediately buckled, letting Peparia know that her shin was broken. She would need to take to the air for the remainder of this training session.

The training session continued like this for another 5 minutes, an eternity when Peparia considered the fact that she was constantly assessing the damage her body was taking so she didn't take any stupid risks. But even with that said, she had still suffered extensive injuries; three of her ribs were broken, as were several bones in her hand from hitting the ground with her fist instead of Beerus' face after a dodge. She was also finally spitting up blood due to the internal damage she had suffered. She was floating there, barely holding on, but still not backing down.

"Enough," Beerus said, smiling at his handiwork. "You still have some work integrating your fighting style into such a savage form, but you've made plenty of progress." Beerus looked over at his attendant and said "Whis, heal the woman."

Peparia immediately powered down, and immediately felt all the built-up pain from the battle as Whis began to heal her. However, she continued to smile, unafraid of the hard work necessary to master the form. She would not only need to learn how to assess her injuries faster while in Ultra Ego, but she'd need to fully integrate her defense-based fighting style into the damage tanking form of Ultra Ego. She could only allow enough damage through to increase her strength without compromising her ability fight in the first place.

"Before I forget," Beerus said, placing his hand on his ear while Whis healed Peparia. "Take this." Beerus removed one of his earrings and tossed it to Peparia. "This will tell anyone you come across that I've accepted you as an acceptable destroyer."

Peparia reverently closed her hand around the earring before bowing slightly to Beerus. And as she placed the earring on her right ear, she thought about what she was going to propose to Chronoa; that once her training was complete, that she become the God of Destruction of Time. That if beings or rogue timelines needed erased, it would be Peparia's job to do so.

This was a far cry from what Peparia had wanted when she was first brought forward in time, but now that she was no longer the only Elite Time Patroller, and thus the only one who could handle the most dangerous of threats, maybe it was time for a change in her role?

Peparia waved goodbye to Beerus and Whis as she exited their pocket dimension and thought about how to approach Chronoa about her proposal as she headed into town. She had requested some new clothes, and it was time to try them on.
