"Wait," Peparia said, putting her hand in front of Charri. "You can have Dabura, but Demigra's mine."
Charri simply nodded and began her transformation into Super Saiyan Blue. Peparia, in the meantime, simply looked at her old enemy with a playful smirk.
"You're going to pay for killing me," Demigra said, performing a flourish with his staff in front of him before holding it at his side.
Peparia rushed at Demigra while transforming into Super Saiyan 4, nailing the Demon God in the jaw, sending him flying. "I'm a lot stronger than I was last time. And you? You don't have the Toki Toki help you match me."
Demigra just glared at Peparia and transformed into his True Form before rushing at Peparia. But as the Demon God got within range, Peparia simply put her hand out and stopped Demigra's charge. She grabbed ahold of his hair and threw him downward before charging up a ki blast.
Demigra could do nothing but attempt to block the ki blast due to how quickly it closed the distance, but it overwhelmed his defenses, forcing him to take the full impact. And he had no time to regain his composure when Peparia closed the distance and nailed him in the head with a dropkick.
The fight continued this way for about a minute, Peparia continuing to dominate the Demon God before finally getting bored with the battle.
"I can't say this has been fun," Peparia said, holding her hand out in front of her, as if she was performing a palm heel strike, and began charging up purple energy. "But I did enjoy putting you in your place."
Demigra, however, began to panic. He recognized what Peparia was doing, and what it meant. He began to retreat, but with this being the crack of time, he had nowhere to go.
"Hakai," Peparia softly said, and fired the ball of destruction to her formerly greatest foe. And Peparia used her precise control over the energy of destruction to force it to chase the Demon God before it finally connected, and slowly began to erase him.
Once nothing remained of Demigra, Peparia looked up and saw that Charri was still fighting the King of the Demon Realm. She charged toward their battle, and with a knee strike, nailed Dabura right in the back.
This display of speed and power was meant for two reasons; the first was the most obvious, to show Dabura that Demigra was gone, and Dabura was now outnumbered. And the second was a little more subtle; Charri had not seen Peparia fight since Towa had controlled her. She needed to show off just a little for Charri to get excited about the day when they would finally go head-to-head.
Dabura, however, was a sore loser. He was just about to use his power to crush Chronoa when the demon Fu appeared. And Peparia grinned as Fu deflected Dabura's stone spit attack and turned the Demon King into stone.
Charri was visibly freaking out over Fu before turning to Peparia, who crossed her arms in front of her. "This is your fight," Peparia said. "Show this son of Towa what you're made of."
Charri swallowed hard, but Peparia knew this young woman could handle things. But she also had an alternative motive; she wanted to see her fighting style. The only time they had fought was when Peparia was under Towa's control, and she hadn't seen Charri fight during the Zamasu crisis either.
And Charri's fighting style was exactly as Peparia thought; it was based around the basics her grandfather Goten taught her, which was based on what Chichi taught him. On top of that was the teachings of the Turtle Hermit, with the North Kaio and Whis' training to round things out. It was definitely very close to how Kakarot fought when they sparred two years ago.
But eventually, Charri managed to wear out the demon, and he eventually retreated. Chronoa said something about how he was "just a kid" and how he'd been helpful defeating Dabura, and eventually, she got them out of there and into the Time Nest. And when Peparia and Charri finally fought, Charri would have a big surprise in front of her.
Author's Note: One more chapter and this one's done! After that, I'll focus on Charri's Journey and bring her to the final showdown with Peparia!
