I do not own anything here.
...
Just a couple minutes to finish to come up, and must just flee like a bird. Well, pretty much like a big bird, either way.
NY General Hospital and ER doctor, and also ex-vigilante, in blue scrubs and with a white cloth Vincent Keller walked down into the hall and was in hurry to finish his shift much at this late time of the night shift. Well, most one of the uncounting shifts he owned to another and certain doctor Heidari. He rolled up his eyes in annoyance as he rubbed up his temples, with the earlier events that had occurred a year ago, he still felt lucky that nobody had fired up his ass or even make him look like an avenger killer. Even if people gave him the weird eye here others with a better mind had known better than to judge. But it was all behind him now. A normal life that's all what it had mattered for him. Nothing more.
However, all the bad stuff had been behind him for now. For him and for his beautiful wife. Catherine.
He closed up his eyes as he released up a relieved smile to his hidden and tired features.
The woman whom he had saved many years ago, and managed to fall for her. Married her, even. Someone who wasn't affraid of him, inside or outside, she stood up to him and defied him, with such confidence he hadn't imagined she had had. All that into a woman. A short woman but with big kicks and big shaped green emerald eyes. These were the very same ones who weren't afraid of getting beaten, and were ready to fight up the storm for him. Oh yeah, Vincent felt very lucky even. Very much, when she hadn't left up his side even. That's what he needed up from a woman like her. Not only her beauty, but also her strength indeed. Just what a man needed to calm down the beast inside of him.
And lucky enough that Tess had managed to make her transfer her from her other job to the other one whom she had occupied from many years ago. And when Cat had seen the news saying from a tiny text that her best friend still wanted her to go back to the precinct, she rushed up to his arms and almost made him fall to the floor even. Ouch. Flavored his surprised face with many kisses and yelling like a jumping girl as she held him straight down to the floor. Telling him that she still had a job to the precinct as if all the hard events hadn't occurred or even had happened.
But, it was great to see her smile and widenely enough to show it up to her eyes as they were glowing up with happiness. Pretty much like her sister, Heather. Whenever she was about to get excited. I got a job! I still got a job! Vincent!
Nothing better than that. The perfect dreaming life he'd always pictured deep down inside of him.
"I said enough!" A man's shouting voice was heard and enough to make him burst out of his thoughts as he stopped his steps and to look up to the physical and training room. Vincent narrowed up his eyebrows in concern as he stare up from the watching glass to see three people through the glass. One was a male nurse with blue scrubs, an tough young african american man named Jack who tried to help up an very weak caucasian man with brown short hair who was struggling up to stand up and walk up to his feet along with a woman with long dark hair and possibly looked hopefull or may too much hopefull even. The very same look that Catherine had had when she had found him after being missing for three months. I'd had never stopped looking up for you..And yet, the only answer he managed to reply was an breathtaking and upsetting thing that had shatter up her eyes.
Who are you? And despite with all the mess and hurt they went through together and apart, they managed to work things out. With regaining his memories and his own humanity back, Vincent swore to himself that he would never hurt her, ever again. He wasn't perfect. He is also human and humans makes mistakes often than he could imagine but he still managed to try to be just ok.
"Don't give up Matt! You still can do it!" Vincent could hear theirs voices from behind the glass as the woman who just talked was willing to give this man some courage to keep on walking. And yet, he felt like the guy was struggling as he breathed heavily when he tried to take a step with his weak and skinny feet.
"I can't!"
"One more step. Come on! The Matt I know wouldn't give up so easily-"
"I said no!" And the young man had once yelled back to the woman by giving her a hard push with his arm to wave her away and as he bust up his ass back down onto his wheelchair with the help of his nurse and gave her an angry but helpless stare."I can't anymore! And I don't even know you, anyways! You can't expect me to give you back something that I don't have!" However, if he had remembered her or not, that guy had no right to push that woman away. And especially in that kind of way and it didn't mattered if it was hurtful in a physical matter or not, it still felt wrong to Vincent as the ex-soldier watched up the scene here. The woman right here, tried to hold on from crying as anger was slowling starting to make its way inside. But Vincent could see that she was only angry because she felt hurt and coming up from the man sitting down to the wheelchair as the nurse still stood shocked by that sudden gesture coming up from the patient.
"Well this is where you are making a mistake. A very big mistake, Matt.." She stormed off from the room as she wipped off the tears coming out from her eyes and from what Vincent could guess. He felt helpless. It was a too familiar scene for him and way much for him to understand in here. That woman was trying to make this guy, this Matt remember something he couldn't possibly do or satisfy her, either way. Just like, Catherine had tried to do once by pushing him to remember and where the hell he had been after all these three months which had made him do an drastic move. Something that he never once had let himself forget and even if Cat did forgive him up, he still couldn't do it. Didn't mattered if it was by self-defense. It was still marked up into his mind. All thanks to an certain dead Bob Reynolds, who managed to erase all his memories in order to make him a better super soldier and assassin, and worse even, when he almost became a true beast. A monster, the other part of him to which he had always feared to become before. But with catching up the good part of his old life and by learning to forgive himself, he managed to come back to his wife. And with her love, it sure did save him as much as his own had saved her life as well. He loved her too much to make her hurt, all over again.
Oh Damn.
Catherine would have to wait up for just a few hours, before he could get home. Therefore, there was something he needed to do before going home.
Pep talk. As J.T. had always had done before. He moaned up through his breath as he walked back away to go to the emergency room, once again.
...
"Thought you've had left Keller..Shift is almost over, man.."
"I'm leaving in a hour or so..." Vincent walked up to the desk regesistration and put up his elbow onto the couter as he watched Jack entering some information into some file."So, this guy may have long lost memory for a longtime?"
"Matt? You mean?" Still surprised, Jack sighed back as he pushed his back to the chair."Quite not. I mean, he sure did remembered what day, month and year he'd been putted in and even his own parents. But not when it came to his fiancee Lydia..You should have seen that poor girl before. Been close to him, talking up, reading up to him and even cleaning him up with me for a whole three weeks, waiting for him to wake up.."
"Damn, for three weeks?" Vincent was impressed by it. That a woman like Matt's fiancee was willing to help him out with no matter what. And yet, the guy couldn't remember her, at all as Jack followed up back.
"Yup. Head trauma. Almost a month ago, EMT had found him and his three other buddies driving away from a party..Car got crashed up by another. The other drunkies guys went with superficial injuries but not with the driver."Jack sighed back up as he waved up down the file onto the registration desk and looked up at Vincent."And guess who was driving back at the accident, Matt Davis, the only person who appeared to be sober enough to take the wheel. Resulting up with a bad head injury even bleed in. Family and friends had come up all the way up here to stay at his side.."
"Including his fiancee.."Vincent had followed with a nod.
"Lydia. She hadn't giving up onto him and she still can't..But it's not easy when someone like the person you love is staring back at you like a stranger would do.." Jack looked pass up at Vincent's back and over his shoulder."Can't bare to see her being hurt and mopping over there.." He sure didn't. As the ex-soldier looked back to the woman sitting alone to the table with a plastic cup of warm coffee a couple steps away from them. As she didn't wanted them to see her cry and with the humiliation she had to go through earlier on by trying to help out the man whom she had thought loved in order to feel herself rejected by him. A memory that Vincent felt so much alive inside of his gut.
"Think he'll appolegize, for that move?" It was a reply that came out from his moth and he was surprisedly affected by it. Like he had lived it, which he had.
"Wait..You've seen it, too?" Surprised by the male nurse's stunned tone, Vincent turned his head back with his face not being so impressed by it. "The way he had backed her off? I sure did.."
"I'm sure the guy is just confused and lost even. Amnesia might take a longtime to recover and especially when he needs to regain back up his strength onto his weak legs, but still. If you and I are both thinking the same thing, then yes. It was no good move to make her go away like that. I was as shocked when I had seen it.."
"Yeah..I sure know.." He sure did. After all, he made that very same move but a little too much even. He had attacked her. No wonder, Cat had tried to cover her up for him by wearing up a scarf, all day to cover up for an attack he didn't meant to do. Because, he had no clue of who she was. She could have had run away from him, but couldn't. It didn't mattered, because in a certain way, she had been ready to accept him. The new him and without rushing up to make him remember in order to make things less weird between them as his own memories slowly came back to him. On their own way. They took their time, just like he and Cat had done.
And here they were. Living happily ever after..Well, almost. If the beast matter could just possibly fly away from their worries, it'll would be better. Ten times even.
"Did you tried to talk up to her? I mean, Lydia?" He added up as the male nurse just shook his shoulders in defeat.
"I did. I tried to give her some comfort, by maybe giving her some advice like letting Matt go for a while and even through, it might hurt. I may think it's the best advice I could have gave...I know it's hard. But nobody knows how trickfull amnesia can be. It may last forever. He may get back onto his strength, but might never recover his memories back.."Jack shook up his head, feeling tired and helpless. He felt sad in a way as he folded up his arms against his hard chest with a firm line to his face."I know it's hard, but what else can you do? When the person you love has no memories when it comes up to you? When it comes up to the others? It's like the guy still lived into the past. How would you react up to that? It takes more than love. It takes some willing and bravery in order to bring back the feelings you once have had before.."
"Maybe you're right, Jack.." The heck that guy had been right. Cause he had been into this position before, and yet he had believed that Catherine was telling him the truth that she believed that they would fall in love with each other again. How could she be so sure? Nope. She was certain of it and he believed in her. Something was telling him, that even brainwashed or not, he believed through her determination and of her word. And of her love. Damn, Catherine.
If it wasn't for her, he wouldn't be here today. He'd be just like the others..And he was just grateful that she hadn't giving up on him.
...
A hour later, Vincent changed up from his scrubs clothes into a fair black t-shirt and blue jeans. He shrugged on his dark jacket and slid up the sleeve of his bag onto his shoulder and just as he was about to went through his pocket to get his keys, he almost walked through a very tearful woman with a perback loosly hanging onto her shoulder who was standing right in front of the closed up elevator. Lydia. She looked like she had cried a thousands tears to which Vincent couldn't helped but to feel some sympathy towards her.
The woman he had seen earlier and the very same one that Jack had tried to comfort when she bursted out to tears. By telling her that if the man of her dreams couldn't possibily deliver what she wanted back. It wouldn't be no use to conquer him. The love they both had shared a longtime ago and if there weren't any trust, it wouldn't be no use, either way..
But unlike this guy, Vincent had believed Catherine even if she had been a stranger and until he could regain his memories and his own humanity, he still found his way to love her back.
"You do know they're not gonna open on their own, unless you press up the down button, you know?" He managed to croak out as a amusing reply much as Vincent watched her turn around. The dark haired woman looked startled as she brought up a hand onto her chest, where her heart was beating up fast. She looked very pretty with these dark eyes and with her pink sweater, and a little curvy even. Tired, close enough to be exhausted. Can't blame her if she had stayed close up to her fiancee after three weeks by talking and to read for him and staying with until he could wake up."Lydia, right?" Vincent had added up back as she responsed with a quick nod.
"I'm so sorry..I hadn't realized that I was blocking up your way..Losts of thinking can get someone's brain so lost, into many ways.." She replied back as she wipped off a tear of her eye and whirled around to press up the down button as she took a breath out. And Vincent figured that she tried to hold on altogether. Even if she wanted to cry again.
"So, I think you're going home?"
"Probably.."She tried to spit this one word out even if her voice tone wasn't making her feel easy."I'd probably stay with a friend until I could seek out for a apartement of my own. Might as well sell the place that Matt and I had been living with.."She sighed back as the doors opened up and stepped in to which Vincent followed her step as well.
"You don't have to follow me.." She added back as soon as the doors closed back but he shook his head anyways. Stating it didn't bothered him. "I wasn't. I'm going home too.."
"You're living with somebody?" Lydia nodded back to the golden ring he wore onto his left and fourth finger and might always for the rest of his life. He brought up his hand and stare it back with much delicate thinking. If it wasn't for Catherine, he wouldn't be here today.
"My wife. Cat. We've been married for almost a year and a half.." Vincent whispered back as he smiled at the harships that he and Catherine went through together for four years. For better and for worse. Until death do them apart."I wouldn't be here, today if it wasn't for her.."He admitted back.
"Lucky you. Wish you all the best, though.." He heard Lydia had sniffed from the corner and from his right side. Vincent turned his attention back to her as he caught her as she tried to avoid his eyes. Oh God. This woman really loved this man, and yet he couldn't remember her, at all. Couldn't even give her a chance to prove that what they had before was worth it. And the ex-vigilante felt so sorry for her.
"This Cat woman, must feel very lucky to have you by her side. A rough man like you to defend her for as long as she might live with.."
"Did he appolegized?"
"For what?"
"For hitting you? I mean.." Vincent had admitted back as he watched Lydia turn back to his hard features as he didn't looked impressed."I've witnessed the scene over, at the physical and training room. He had no right to do that."
"He was afraid-"
"Still. He had no right to do that..Stranger or not, he shouldn't have had, in many ways.."
"You're not telling me that I've been into an abusive relationship with Matt and that I've never did anything to stop him or leave him?" She looked shocked at his suggestion as almost horrified and angily back at him."Matt had never laid a hand over me. Never in his entire life or at the time we've lived together, either!" Vincent gulped up hard as he watched her innocent features turning up into anger as he surroundered himself up.
"How dare you-"
"Hey, calm down, here! I didn't mean to let it slip it out like that..I'm sorry!" Vincent followed back as he tried to catch up with the words he've slip out by mistake and carrying. After all, he had laid a hand on Cat by mistake. But only once when he hadn't noticed her for three months. He couldn't remembered her, until his heart told him he could trust this woman. "I'm sorry for what I've said..I didn't know.."
"Of course you didn't..It's not you who'd been rejected by the love of your life. And after three weeks of slumber, he wakes up and tells you that he has no memories of you or even of the year you had spend it with him, either way.."
"And ended up to be your fiancee, even.."Vincent had responsed back with a nod as he totally understood the pain behind Lydia's words. He had known the pain behind them just as much like Catherine had convinced him even if he hadn't known from heart had known she was telling him the truth. That they were destined to be together at his strucked belief just like he managed trhat even if they had changed, they were better together than apart. Lydia nodded back as she was lost to her thoughts.
"I would always remember it. He had proposed way back when we went to a coffee-bar, Il Cantuccio..It was cheesy but beautiful.."
"I know that place too. I used to go there when I used to live up alone and now that I've have a partner. It's way better.."Vincent had admitted back as Lydia closed up her eyes when a sad smile came up to her face.
"Yeah. It was amazing. I remember doing and correcting many homework of my students, when Matt came along by odering my favorite lattee to my table and bend down onto one knee and.."Her voice broke as he understood in silence. He nodded up as he pictured the scene.
"It must be hard.." He could imagine the way Matt had dropped down onto one knee and had proposed up to her, by surprise and in from of everybody as strangers looked awed up by her reaction and of her positive response. And now, it felt like everything from that moment had been washed up away.
"It is. And especially with that accident that happened and with me staying up by his side and to know that he wasn't able to remember me when he could with other people. It was like I was invisible. Like I even didn't existed to him.."Lydia had admitted."I've been told to let him go, if he couldn't possibly deliver what I could give him back. It would be just unfair for him. For both of us.." And Jack was right to that point. It wouldn't be just fair for the both of them, unless this Matt guy could come in by and appolegize himself to this woman for his behavior. Just like Vincent had done and Catherine was totally understandable to it. Stating that it was only by self-defense. That she would have had done the same thing if he had pushed her to remember an relaationship that couldn't have had existed to either to her or to him. Cat had forgive him, as long as he wouldn't ever cross up that line over again. Which he hadn't had done till then. Cause every Keller boy had kept on onto their word.
"Damn.." He sighed back.
"How it had been for you?" Lydia had asked him back as he whirled around to see her with hopefull and tearful eyes. Vincent blinked up back. Unless this woman had known his so-believable story for almost three years ago, when he came out in public.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, it had taken you a couple of months to finally remember who you were..How did you managed to recover them?" She sure did known about his story and every intelligent person who could go and search online for gossips. Includding his convincing story, as he cleared up his throat.
"I had help..With a woman.."
"That late Tori Windsor woman?" Boy, that woman had done her research. However, Vincent tried to not disrespect Tori's memory by managing to find the correct answer. He looked down to his shoes as he shook up his head and scratched his hair. Hair that was starting to grow even like it used to be before. Done with the soldier's haircut for now.
"Uh. Not much. No. I mean she helped me in a few ways, but it wasn't as much as it was with my wife had done.."Vincent had admitted back as he turned up to her worried and curious eyes. He could tell that she longed up for an advice from him. After all, he had been lost without memories. Without having any memories of Cat and of his old life, before..
"At first, she had pushed me to remember, stating that we had a lifetime together before. I may did not remembered her, but my heart felt like it known her from before. I couldn't explained it how, but whenever I've seen her walking to my place, I just felt my heart beating up so fast that I wanted her to come back to me.." He softly released a smile to his features."I mean, she was patient when it came to my long awaited memories but as they were coming back and slowly, I just had known that she was telling me the truth, stating that memories were feelings as emotions were strong because you feel them, even.."
"Must have been amazing.."
"Not all the time, though.."Vincent had admitted back with a frown."There was a time where I wasn't being fair to her and that we both needed to take some time apart from each other. In order to figure out who we were apart, before we could come back to each other, once again.." But Catherine ended up saving him, like she always had done before. "She saved me.."
"She saved you..Now I can see why..That you've ended up marrying her, even through it wasn't easy.." Vincent heard Lydia's voice broke into a soft whisper as the doors slowly opened up back as they both stepped out to the emergency room and close up to the exit room.
"So, that's what you should think that I should be doing?" Lydia had cracked out as much as Vincent hated to see a woman cry even."That I should be leaving him, because he doesn't trust me? Or us?"
"I'm not the one who make these choices, but as long there's no trust between the two of you..What else can I say?" No relationship could work without any trust. But Vincent wanted to convince her that thought and that was wrong. But, couldn't he promise that matter forever?
"So, what you're saying is that he's doesn't trust me and that I should let him go? Is that what you're telling me?"
"All I'm saying is that it took me some time to remember and if it wasn't for Catherine..I wouldn't have had gone so far to be here, today..And to be with her, even.." That was true. And if this Matt guy trusted Lydia. Things wouyld be better for them. But if there wasn't any trust to this relationship. How would they survive?
"That nurse, Jack had said I should let Matt go away. That it wouldn't be fair to be giving the person you love something that he may never be willing to give you back.."
"And he's right..Unless, there may something that you might do to help him.."He admitted back he saw her head rising up into wonder. Her eyes glowed up with desparate and to hope. Which he gulped hard. Nice work, smartass!
"What?" It could work, but Vincent didn't wanted to give much false hope to Lydia if the situation couldn't work for her or for Matt. She needed to be patient with him. The new Matt. Just like Cat had been with Vincent.
"Try to accept him for who he is today, Lydia. If you truly love him, don't push him too hard on remembering who he was before. He is lost and afraid when it comes to you. Try to be his friend, at the start. And you'll see where it'll goes at the end of it.."He followed back up as the woman next to him and into the dark had started up with wide and curious eyes.
"That's what it happened to you? With Cat?" It sure did. Cat took time enough to understand who he was, after three months of being missing and letting Reynolds and even agents from Homeland Security messing up with his head and by torturing him, horribly in order to forget or even using his wife for target. Vincent had a couple nightmares before and even had awakened up into sweat in bed with Catherine. But thankfully, she managed to calm him down as she tried to console him. Touch him, kiss his lips and cheeks and hugged him tight into her embrace as he was shaking up and almost sobbing up, silently. I'm here, Vincent. I'm here. Don't worry. She had whispered these words by rubbing his bare and strong back again and again, until he could finally sleep once again and when he did, he slept with Cat who was still holding him up into her arms.
But with Lydia and Matt. It might something else that they might have to go through. If Matt could let Lydia walk back to him, it'll would work but if it doesn't. It might be gone. Oh God. Vincent tried to find the right words to comfort her, even if the hospital's law had told the doctors to not be very optimistic about any situation that may go awry. But, he felt like willing to help out, even in a small way.
"It did. And my wife had not only help but accepted all of me. The new me. From bad to good. And yet she is still here with me even after I regained all my memories back. She accepted me for who I was and the person who I am, today.." Vincent hoped it was enough to comfort the woman right here as she bursted into tears and let her head rest onto his shoulder as she cried out her heart out and as he managed to rub her back. Like Catherine had done when he had nightmares during his time of being tortured. He sighed in relief but feeling grateful about having a second chance at love. When it came to his wife, she had known the words for him and to make him feel comfortable. But for tonight, Vincent Keller had to do this on his own. As a doctor but also as a man. A beast who had been cured by a woman's strong and powerful love.
He hoped it was enough help he could give to Lydia. Just like Catherine had given him before.
...
When Vincent camed back to the appartement after sharing many emotions and advice to a woman whom he barely knows, he found out the appartement into the dark and yet, he could hear the shower working up from his ears. Damn, everything was dark in here, but somebody was in here. Could be Cat?
"Cat?" He called out loud as he closed up the door and dropped his bag down onto the floor as he looked around the room, for answer until the shower sound had clicked off. Yup, someone was inside.
And a weird baking smell was around the kitchinette. Catherine's favorite and cooking place as she often tried to push herself into being the best cook of the two of them. And what else? She was trying to feed him up big, lately. He walked over and without taking his shoes away, he went behind the kitchen counter and bend down to see the only glowing light that had been left into the place.
And he smirked to the vision of it. His wife was heating up a large pizza into the oven, and it smelled so much good as he smirked up to the picture. And not only he agreed up to it, but his growling stomach was into it.
"Hands up into the air!" An sudden flashing light had him surprised and hurted up his eyes as he blinked up with a wince as he was being caught into a trap. Vincent rubbed up his eyes. Oh Damn. Hadn't he ever had listened to a woman's warning to not touch her cooking? Like his own mother had adviced him not to do or so. He put his hands up to the air and behind his head."Don't even touch it!" To her warning tone as she would have said to any dangerous and sneaky culprit, Vincent rose up and turned around to face her reflection as she stood up in front of him with her long hair drenched up to her skin and from the shower and was wearing his old and rugged dark blue robe. Heck. She was sexy and delicious like a dangerous kitten even with his wardrobe. Quite a little too long for her to wear. A robe that Cat had been pushing him to get rid of because of the old times when the two of them were apart and when his ex-girlfriend Tori had bought him once. But even tough and short women like her had often changed up her mind. A cloth is stays a cloth and to which she had started to wear them when he wasn't home, either if it was at work or on the run.
But. God. She looked awfully sexy and breathtaking here. A great picture to remember and to savour. After all, he married an hottie female cop.. Damn, focus Vincent!
"Calm down, Catherine!"
"Don't you touch my kitchen! Or my food. It's not even ready yet!" She pointed back with a raised up finger as if he had planned to steal something into the dark. Or used to be dark with the lights on. Despite her angry face, she still managed to look cute in a certain way. Better not mess with Cat's cooking, or else you might just throw yourself away and up from the fire escape..
"You've been cooking lately?" He asked back as his eyes moved up down to the his left side and at the oven while he remained into this ridiculous pause with him and his hands up at the air. Much like an idiot.
"Yes. Since, I've walked in home in such early time, I've decided to take time to cook. So I've bought enough food to hold on for an entire week.." She put up her fists to her hips as the only overture from the robe was making it's way out and almost exposing up her chest out. And just for him. That he almost feel his sensitive parts wanting to get arousing up. Pleasure, even.
"Or a month even.."He looked around to see the counter in a unbelievable mess. Tomatoes and smashed flavor was around along with other vegetables. A long trail of pepperoni and cheese and an half empty casserole with tomatoe sauce was left onto the cold up oven counter and down was the pizza being warm up here. A special occasion, maybe? But what? Other than getting their asses out of trouble?
"Are we celebrating something? Have I missed something, that I should have known?" He asked innocentely as he sounded a little terrified for a minute. Never mess with the Chandler sisters or with theirs aunts, even.
"No. It was just a simple thought for me to do so.." Trying to play innocent, uh? Not so much.
"By making me a pizza?" Pizza? That's all he could say for a defense word? Think she could save up her ass by comforting his stomatch? Pretty much like his mother had tried to make his father believe after he came back from work. Or more like breathing bad smoke out from work. Even getting some smacky sex at the very end. OOh boy..Another picture he needed to get rid of and especially when his other brother Daniel had almost ruined up his innocence for good. OOh God..Or more like creepy crap.
"I'm not so bad at it. And besides with all the craziness we've been through with, I wanted to try something new here and it was baking up a pizza.."Cat smiled back to his untrusted face as he stood up onto his corner with his hands still up to the air, like an idiot."Trust me, you'd like it.."
"With a pizza?" He sounded like an idiot right here as if she could flatter him with his stomatch. Big idiot. Her smile had reached up to her glowing eyes.
"You would love my magic tomatoes sauce. Thrilled with even.."She chuckled up to his petrified and strucked face. Grinning even."Okay. You can drop your hands down.."He did as he was but Vincent still felt uncertain. Didn't mattered if her heartbeat was beating just fine, something didn't felt right here and he couldn't just point it out what.
"Something went wrong with Tess?" He really did hoped it wasn't her ex-partner who had managed to get her fired. If it was. He might ask for some answers, in any time soon. But Cat shook her head as she walked behind the counter to stand up to his height with the very same smile she still had on her face. She did looked weird, but yet awfully drenched and sexy. Even his guts were starting to hurt him so badly by now. Get a grip, Keller! But he couldn't do much but to stare up at her eyes, wanting her so badly in a very longtime.
"Nothing. I just came home feeling a little weird after dealing with a hard case. I guess my stomatch can't no longer hold on like it used to.."She put up her hands behind his neck with a lazy smile as she stared at him back."Good thing, my new partner Parsons, managed to cover up for me.." She pecked up a kiss to his lips but it didn't quite soothened things for him as she pulled back when he narrowed his eyebrows in wonder just his experession went hard.
"Are you sick?"
"Nope. Just felt tired. Nothing to worry.." She denied everything once again. Looks she was behind something and she was hard to figure that thing out. Too bad, he couldn't read minds. Only heartbeats had no secrets for him and yet his wife just loved to mess up with him. He gave up with a sigh.
"Okay.."However he still didn't bought it up from her amusing smile. Cat was planning something weird, but what? He had no clue.
"How about you? How was your day?" She asked back as she grabbed up his shoulders tight. She could sense that he was getting a little tense. Cat changed up her happy expression onto a worried one."Tired?" And he nodded back in a agreement.
"Yes. Tiring, but it's not any different than it used to be.." He stated back with a quickie answer. Ever since, he walked back to the hospital fearing to get attacked by other residents, Vincent had always managed to the best he could. Trying to not disappoint anyone and did almost finished up the hours he owned to a few colleagues. Almot. And then were the nightmares, mostly from Reynolds and from DHS Agents who made him go through a deep living hell when an so-called dead Peter Braxton was enjoying to make him pass for the bad guy and had nearly destroyed his life. Not too mention, he almost had had Catherine's life cut short with a silent hitman. A scene that Vincent would never be able to forget and if DHS Special agent, Olivia Dylan hadn't agreed with him. With them both. He would have had lost his sanity over the blind unjustified law for good.
"Okay. You could always talk to it to me. At dinner time.." She assured him back with an assuring smile even as she brought up the back of her hand to his cheek as she stroked him. Softly and with gentle manner, until he smiled back to her concerned features.
"Am I gonna get sick too, if I ate that pizza of yours?" He tried to make a joke out of the bad situation when Cat pouted up and had smacked his shoulder, playfully. Dirty woman. He almost released up a soft chuckle when he had seen her pouting like a cute kid.
"Funny..Just wait and see. Big guy.." She replied up back as she tried to push herself away from but couldn't, when she felt his own strong arms surroundding her small waist. Her green orbs looked up at his own hazel ones when she found out that they were smirking back to hers. He liked to take control over. Unless.
"I didn't meant the food. I've meant you. Would I even get an waking up kiss if I get poisoned?"
"You try to play evil, aren't you, Mr. Keller? All scared like a kid, and here you are; playing up like a big beast.." She defied up with a sneaky smile to his face.
"Hungry beast, you should mean.."He smirked back when he closed up his eyes as he leaned down to kiss her whole. And grateful even to have her by his side. He felt his hand going through her long drenched up hair locks from back to her head as the other one held her tight and close up to him. He felt her kisses wanting to make him wild and even bring her up to the bed and wanting to make feel all of him out there. Her lips were devouring him wholly and made his heart accerlerating hard until it could explode with pure happiness. Her tongue was twisting through his for more hunger than he ever felt. Grateful but thabnkful to her love that had saved him when he had been left with nothing until he had seen her once again and after almost ten years.
"Vincent.." She managed to breathe through his mouth for air as she brushed up his lips and clinging up her hands to his growning hair and down to his neck as she felt his kisses wanting to go on onto more. Too many clothes were out of the way. Their way.
"Too many clothes.."
"Take them off..If you need to do it.." He whispered back to her ear as his mouth was slowing up down and found its way to the bare of her neck when she felt his tongue twisting and licking her up here. She kept her eyes closed as she felt him savouring deeply through her sensitive skin as she felt his fingers wriggling around to leave her back until he could find the tight knot that kept the wardrobe tight and hidden up her exposed and naked figure. Planning to do better with her being exposed to his once naked skin. She moaned to his touch as she felt him trying to untie knot of the wardrobe away...
Ting!
Both Vincent and Catherine had pulled away when they heard the timeout that had closed up their intimacy moment apart when they heard and felt that the baking pizza was ready to get out from the stove. Such a brutal waking up call and to disturb a good moment.
"Oh. Looks like dinner is ready, already.." She looked back down at the oven when he groaned through his throat.
"Can't it wait?"
"Nope. Sorry to disappoint you, my husband, but duty is waiting up for me.."She smiled back to his pouting face as if he wanted more. But, man. He wanted more.
"Cat.."
"Don't 'Cat' me, here."She pushed him away from her as her move made him step back like a punching bag. Even if he looked offended by it."Go take a shower and change. I'll take care of dinner here.."
"You sure?"
"You trust me with a frying pan?" She made a weird face to him as he shrugged off like he had no better idea. After all, he had been kicked by her. Almost twice. If he could remember well. Once when she kicked his face by accident when she was training and working up her strength to her punching bag, until her she lost control of her foot and kicked up to his face. And another random time when the two of them were into bed and after having great sex pleasure, Cat had kicked him up-No elbowed him at his face while she slept. Double ouch even. So imagine her with a frying pan..
"Not much when you're smacking up my head with.." He admitted back as she giggled back softly and pushed him away to the hall. When he looked back up at her."Seriously, Catherine. You've kicked my ass more than once.." He chuckled up at her recognition of the facts of getting hurt by her, before.
"And I'll do it again, if you don't shower yourself up." Cat had admitted up as she gather up the wardrobe close up and to hide her almost exposed skin and closed up the button as she turned off and opened the oven door. Took the oven gloves, wore them up and dragged the baked pizza out of the oven."No offense, Vincent but you smell hospital scent here and may need to rub off that scent away..If you want to have supper with me and even desert, at the end of it.."
"Cat.."He almost begged not only the sight of the pizza but at the way his wife was tempting up to give him the chills. After all, other than the wardrobe, she wore nothing else..
"No buts..Now shoo.."His wife waved him off the place as he took a few steps to the bathroom's door until he managed to turn and to peak out from a tiny glance from his corner as he managed to look to take a little peak. Even if he felt a little sneaky..
"Just one question, although.." He asked back as she brought up the baked pizza onto the bar counter as she caught the smell of the delicious baked pizza here by closing up her eyes as she deeply breathed in. Or more likely getting herself ready for any other question from her dear and hot husband here.
"Depends.."
"Mind if you stay up like this and take off that wardrobe, while you serve my supper?"
And his wardrobe was being thrown up at his idiotic face for answer..Vincent laughed up at this playful gesture.
...
Later at night, after they shared a quiet and romantic dinner, Catherine and Vincent cleaned up the rest of the supper by putting the rest to the fridge. Three parts of the remaining pizza were left into the fridge along with the rest of the salad. And managed to clean up the mess left of at the kitchen. Thanks to an desastrious kitty girl here who wanted to believe she was Chief Ramsay when she wasn't it. With clothes on, of course. But the food had been delicious, for once. Too much for Vincent's pleasure even if he joked about wanting to see Catherine's exposed form while she served dinner and his beer.
Could he just had stated that he had been disappointed and especially after he gone home from finishing up a whole day at work? Mmm, maybe. And especially when he was the only one who drank alcohol when she took herself a glass of cold water at dinner time. He thought it was weird of her refusing up a glass of red wine here as she would always volunteered herself for one. And later on, after a dinner. Like he often had seen her do it.
Weird. Weird.
Later on, Vincent sat alone right in front of the of the wild burning up cheminee as many thoughts camed along on his mind. Alone with his second beer as he took a good swallow as he stared back at the flames, telling how his life could have had sucked if he and Cat had walked out out the way.
And here, he was living up his happily ever after with the most amazing woman he ever had meet and who was willing to give and do everything to keep him safe. Love him was a part of it as it would always be marked up inside of beating heart. He was lucky with all the pain he had caused her with his own beast side and how bad consecquences could have had catched them up if he had ended up by being exposed. They could have had left town as they planed if one of Peter Braxton's men hadn't caught them and there wouldn't even be a deal with the DSH offices if they managed to run away from town. After all, he had murdered an federal agent and even if it was by mistake. Self-defense act. Hill made him do it and made him lose complete control to make him do the unthinkable as the late agent had tried to kill him. Murder him by his hold.
But what would have happened if Hill had managed to have him killed? Nothing would have had changed. Braxton would have still had gone worse by finishing all the people that had tried to shut him down. Any law enforcement officer or Cat would have gotten themselves killed. It wouldn't have had stopped anything. However, when he felt Catherine's cold hand slippering from his hold as he had seen her bleeding heavily. He had known that he had to do something. He had to turn himself in. A simple car explosion wasn't just much to make a badman believe that they have had perished into car explosion, it just didn't felt enough. Vincent remembered holding her tight into his arms as he blurred up inside of the nearest hospital, had left her under the hold of the doctors's own hands and watched them leave as he stood up there into shock and covered up with his wife's blood feeling helpless and almost destroyed. Oh God. One of Braxton's men managed to follow them to the appartement after the explosion and when they were into packing up the stuff and clothes that Heather and her silly of boyfriend had got for them, someone had kicked up the door which had ended up to be destroyed and shot to twice to five times into the room, before he could leave them alone. An hired hitman, maybe. Everything went up too fast for Vincent catch things up, couldn't even had the time to beast out or track down the guy. All he was focused on, it was on Catherine's left side which had been caught. One of the five bullets went through inside. With one that went through her as she fell down into his arms, almost in shock as she had been herself even. Vincent shut his eyes tight when that thought had come along. The pain and the fear of ever losing her was still marked up to him after that horrible evening.
Oh God. He let out a shivering breath out as if cold air went through in. He even remembered holding up into J.T.'s big arms as the two of them held on together as brothers would have. While he needed comfort when his best friend just cried in relief when he found out that his own brother was well and safe from the car explosion he'd just had witnessed earlier. It took almost a month for Catherine to recover from her injuries and a couple of months of trying to convince an very confident and stubborn agent to come along with a deal. It was either giving up on making Vincent Keller look like an wanted man for something he had done to protect himself from another agent whom had tried to kill Vincent when he had drugged him heavily in order to make him beast out or either denounce Special Agent, Olivia Dylan to the Internal Affairs of her own departement, for letting her emotions getting away by pushing Vincent Keller to jail and letting a real criminal fall away from her hands. As a videos from security was shown an certain Peter Braxton breaking up from jail and by putting an fake body into the prison. Making it look like Catherine's husband had killed him, in pure revenge after he been filmed doing the atroceties he had been ordered to do. And even laying down onto her hospital bed, Cat had managed to look threatening over the blond haired woman who stood up a little pale over that confession. Vincent still remembered the way how his wife held her left hand with her engagement and wedded rings on onto his own and tight enough to express up her anger towards the agent. Threatenening tears were falling down onto her cheeks as the blond haired agent looked shocked and humiliated by her own actions.
"Innocent or not, you were willing to put my husband's life into danger, to savour your thirst over Hill's death which it didn't looked up as an a murder, but as a self-defense act." Catherine managed to deep breath even through she laid onto her bed looking weak but also strong. Even if she had lost some blood and was regaining it back. She managed to look ferious. That it strucked Vincent into shock as she held his hand, tighter than ever."Our lives were in danger. While the real bad man was still messing around with our lives. Yours as well. I'll be ready to denounce you to the Internal Affairs departement." She fought for this man's safety and even if it meant to be her last breath, Catherine would gladly do or so. And Vincent had never felt so proud of her. His warrior truly loved him and would do anything to make him happy. Even if the truth about beasts were out to the departement. Catherine was willing to fight up for him, even if it was her last dying wish.
Damn, right. He deserved to be happy. However with what he had seen back at the hospital, he wondered what would have had happened if things had turned around. If he hadn't trusted Catherine. Would he have had become such a monster? If she hadn't found him?
"A penny for your thoughts?" Vincent had jerked off of his thoughts as he turned his head up to see Cat sitting along and close up to him. Into her favourite flannel and red sweat shirt along with her loose blue slacks. Her long hair had been held onto a messy bun as she held her right hand held on onto a lemonade juice. Still no, alcohol at the view. At summertime with hard humidity, it was a bad decision to drink hard liquor, but like he had noticed before from her little act. She wouldn't refuse any glass of wine either. Unless, there was something that she wasn't telling him. But he pushed the idea away, anyways.
"How come you aren't naked anymore?" He looked up and down from her clothed form looking a little bit deceived here for a second.
"Funny. Big ass.." She had added up with a playful smile and put her glass onto the table before she could gathered up her knees onto the sofa in order for her touch him with her body. She stared at him. Being not so convinced, but willing to know what troubled him here. "What's wrong?" But he shook up his head as he looked back the burning flames as he seated his beer along with her glass.
"Sometimes, I wonder how I gotten myself lucky. Luck for the two of us. I meant.."
"Yeah. I often wonder about that part too as well.." She sighed up by following up his gaze to the flames."We were lucky to finally have made it. Have a real life even, with no more beasts or hitmen either. With Braxton getting shot at by J.T and Tess. It was the end of it.." And even getting the courage to back off an agent even. That was something.
"I didn't meant that. you know?"
"I know..."And then, she turned her attention to him and grabbed his arm by giving him a little shake as she tried wake him up."But we've made it. Vincent."And smiled when she saw him turning up to see her precious glowing eyes."We did it.."
"Yeah. We've done it. We managed to put down Murfield and for good.." He followed up with a sad but relieved smile. They weren't as sure if the Homeland Security departement had managed to stop the hitman that had attacked them and shot Catherine in cold blood in order to make Vincent pay and suffer. "But it's not what's troubling me..though."
"Then, what's troubling you up? At this time.."
"Nothing personal. It's just a patient that I went to observe by the physical training room at the hospital. He, his fiancee and a nurse were trying to help him out by regaining his strength back. After being left into a coma for three weeks.."
"Ouch.."
"Yeah, I know.."Vincent had agreed back at her wincing sound through her teeth."The guy has amnesia. Or like he had been living into another life, way before he had meet his fiancee. When he had seen her after he woked up, he had no clue of whomever she was to him.." Not too mention that the guy had pushed his fiancee away with such brutal manner but also as he been afraid of her. Since he couldn't remember her while she did.
"It sounds complicated..With the brain, I mean.."
"Pretty much. But it's not what bothers me though. While I walking around there, I had witnessed him giving a push back at her and clinging onto the guy's scrubs while he shouted back at the girl telling that he doesn't remember her and at all.."Vincent had admitted back with a shrug."I don't know it just made me angry, even.."
"Vincent.." She felt like she had where this conversation was leading up onto. During that accident time when he had pushed her down and totally realized that whomever was standing in front just wasn't the same man she fell in love with it. He had been changed. Forcedly for the most bad reasons. Both of them had changed, and yet here they were now by being together and married, even. Why? Because of trust and if there wasn't any trust onto them, their relationship wouldn't have had lasted either.
"I still felt bad, and yet you were willing to forgive me and to start fresh.."
"I guess. Maybe. I've hadn't realized how strongly you've changed and how different you were back when I was trying to find you. All I ever wanted, it was to finally got you back into my arms. Nothing more.."Catherine had admitted back."And like you said; to start over even without you regaining your memories. Even if it all came back to you as we've always have been from before.."
"Aren't you glad that I have?"
"Oooh yeah..I sure am.." She smiled."And if things were reversed, I guess I would have done the same thing as well if I were you.."
"Attacking me?" He narrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Like she would have had attacking him if things would have been different like in this terrible nightmare where once he had been hurt and had horribly bleeding a lot to develop blood poison. He remembered losing up control to the beast as he kept on fugging and transforming while he and the others includding Catherine had been hiding from snippers who were shooting at them at middle of the night, back at the Il Cantuccio coffee-bar. He remembered her pleeding and begging for him to come back to her. Loving him enough to make him come back to her.
"More like kicking up your pretty face, I would say.."She teased him back as he cracked into a soft laugh to which made her grin even and made her nose crinkle. That cute little wrinkle thing that he always he liked too. Cat rubbed up his back in comfort back in forth."Feel a litte bit better, now?"
"A little..It's just not easy to forget it..That guy's fiancee..I mean, she was so in pain that I had ended up trying to comfort her, even.."
"Like what?" Cat wondered back by being curious.
"Like she could give the guy some slack, at first.." Vincent cleared up his throat as he grabbed his beer to to take a good swallow before he wipped off some of the drops away with the back of his stayed a little lost for a second with his eyes that stared at the front. "Cause he believes that he is still living in a world without her and if she really wants to make it work. She needs to give him some time.."
"Or else?"
"She could always let him go, if he still doesn't trust her.." He followed back as he put back down his beer."And she knows everything about him. About the lifetime they've shared while he doesn't anymore.."He sighed back frustrated. "It's all about the head trauma thing. Amnesia is pretty tricky.." It sure was while Matt could remember his own family but not his fiancee Lydia, it was like he was caught up into the past. When Vincent, couldn't remember anything else. Like at all. As Cat agreed back with his words.
"It sure is..But I'm glad we've have had overcame it. By being together at all odds." And she had went through it with him after three months on looking and searching up for him. Feeling so desparate and convinvincing that somewhere inside of her heart, she had always known that he was somewhere alive and out there at the streets. Living and kicking. She could felt it. But what she did not have known it was that once she had found him back into her arms, Catherine had realized that he had changed for the good but also for the bad. And with his memories having been erased, it had made things worse.
It was something that she hadn't prepared herself to it. And neither was he, when it came to give her back her love. It did took sometime for them as they were apart. They needed to realize who they were apart before coming back together as a couple. Which they finally have had. The two of them were ready to face anything in order to stay together, get married and to have a normal life together. Even if it was somewhere else than here or in France, Paris, if they could. But they had decided to have other plans for now. Time was uncertain, but as long they were together into this messy life, they could overcome anything. Catherine was the first one who gave him hope and much later, it was Vincent helped her to remind that they were better together than by being apart. They were destined and it was something that they couldn't possibly avoid.
Unless..There was something else coming to their way as Catherine stayed calm to that thought.
"Sometimes, I feel like I don't deserve you, Catherine.." Vincent sighed once again and as he rubbed his eyes from slumber. And mostly from fatigue. The next days following up his exonoration had been hard and especially when Agent Dylan had decided to take all beast cases off of them. In order to give them some time together as Cat could recuperate onto her strength and Vincent who was taken off of all charges. Leaving him free. Not everyone had agreed with that but people were slowly changing theirs minds once they known the truth behind the hidden experiments that their own goverment had been involved and denied from all these facts in order to cover up theirs asses from the deaths of a thousands soldiers being thrown away into war.
But life came back to them with being a doctor and with her going back as a detective from her own precinct, once she had completely recovered from her injuries and managed to get back onto her life. She still had her money bank account as she managed to fix it up, but still kept the planned will that she promised to keep just in case something bad had to happen. The car explosion and the shot she have had taken had been a waking up call true, but as a police officer she would have made one from the start. However, she was willing to take one day at a time and with her husband like always.
Unless, something else came along their way.
"You do..."She managed to whisper back as she brought up her hand to bring back his face to meet her eyes who were glowing and beatifully."You deserve all the love you can get. From me and from everybody else..And caring and comforting for someone you don't even know, it's way better, too. "
"I love you.."
"And I love you too.."She whispered back to him as he grabbed her wrist to his hold and pushed over to kiss her back. Brush up her lips with all the love he could give back when she moaned through his breath. She responsed back to his kiss as she pushed her tongue even farther inside, when something came along the way of her mind.
"Wait. Vincent..I..Damn..Focus for a second.."She groaned back with her eyes shut as he continued to push with his kisses. And the way, his tongue was making her feel wild even.
"Sorry. Can't.." He groaned back as his mouth went over down of her neck and onto her shoulder as he tried to pull her sleeve out of his way when Cat snorted into a soft chuckle. He really liked to tease her up at these moments like them, but when it came into serious matters. She had to speak up. She needed to and he has to known about it.
"Okay. Okay..Vincent, we need to stop here..Wait."She pulled him away by grabbing him away and by his shoulders. He looked stunned by her strong movement. "We need to talk.."
"What did I do? Did I messed up something?" Hopefully not something stupid he strongly believed to that point. Anxiously, he waited for to add up as she shook her head."No. You didn't do anything bad..We may have had." She slipped out back while he sat onto the sofa looking still shocked and didn't catched up onto her own meaning of words When she started to explain. They have done something bad, and they haven't noticed? He hadn't noticed it? Like what? But it did looked like it was Cat who took most of the guilt part here. Cause her heart was accelerating fast into worry.
"In a couple weeks before, I kinda felt strange to which I had no clue and since I've have always been on schedule and with the shifts I've taken back to the precinct, to own back up the hours that I've had to make for.."She tried to clear up her throat and gulped deep. Her brought up her fingers together as theirs thumbs were jumping back and forth as she hoped it would calm down her nervousity."I mean, I've been busy and jumpy also. We both have had as life for us was slowly going back to normal. If you call that normal.. Stress, cause I may don't know what's gonna happen next to us or if Agent Dylan would still find a way to burn my ass or not, which kept me worried for a bit and especially after the events of last year..I couldn't stopped to think that even if we were safe or not. Or if I had to lose you once again and with you going on the run, once more And now that nothing had happened, I-"
"Catherine.." Her head jumped up at his voice tone that sounded a little rushed but calm. She looked up at him with wide and stunned eyes as her heart felt like wanting to jump out of her chest. Oh boy, there she was talking up fast to whenever reason she felt was Vincent's turn to try and to soothe things up for her as he raised up an eyebrow in amusement."What's going on?" Her way of talking things out hadn't worked just as she wanted to. So, better to spill the beans out. Cat groaned back into a growl before she could calm herself and stared back up at his face. With a frown but determinated while Vincent waited for answer. And after all, he could always figure out or not if she was telling the true or whatsoever with her heartbeat.
"Okay..I've been late on schedule, lately...I thought it was only stress but when I've realized that I've been late for two weeks. I got worried..So, I went and bought two tests earlier this morning and before I went to work, I've..I have..It been tested true.." She pursed up her lips together, as she stood waiting and almost nervous at his reaction. While he tried to adjust her question as he hadn't understood her quickly. Or maybe had comfirmed the least of his fears.
"True? Wait. What do you mean, by true?" And this is where the hard part comes along. Tell your husband that he may or may not want to hear.
"You do know what I mean by true..Vincent.."She held up her breath back as her concerned eyes meant by. Her husband couldn't quite catched what she meant at first, but it did took him a moment to finally realize what she had seen his hard expression changing into shock. His eyes widened into complete struck as a shivering breath came out of his lungs. Oh God. Was it a good sign? Or not? There was no words that came out of him as he stood there into shock to her face. Catherine feared for the worst or even as if he had went into a heart attack as he figured what she has been trying to tell him now. Oh God. I was so not ready for this..
"Vincent.." She took a deep breath in and managed to grab his strong hands into her own and warmed up ones as he couldn't say anything else but to stare up at her in desbelief."I'm pregnant..We're pregnant.."
"Uh?" One word came out of him, but with fear when she tried to clearify him up with the most believable defination she had got and to explain him.
"Expecting..I mean..Look.." She took out the two pregnant tests that she purchased this morning before ging to work as she wanted to be and make sure that her own thinking wasn't fooling around with her this time. She took them out from the back pocket from her pants and shown them to him.
And yet, he couldn't managed to say anything but to stay frozen like an idiot statue. Not even he had made a move. Oh Boy.
"Uh? Vincent? Hey!" She waved up her hand in front of his face as he stared up at nothing..Even felt like he hadn't been aware of it either."This is where you're supposed to say something!"
"How has it happened?" He followed back up still looking strucked into astonishment. Not even sure, if he had managed to spill out the perfect question, even.
"Uh?" Oh Boy. That sentence was contagious that she even took it from him.
"You know what I mean.."He waved back when she followed up. Trying to follow up his way even if it almost sounded like a teasing matter."Well, you know when two people are having sexual activities, they often end up with a-"
"I know that!" He tried to give an specific answer when the real words couldn't even come out. He blinked up twice as he tried to shake his head and tried to wake up here from his shock. O Holy, Crap. Vincent couldn't believe his ears when he had heard Cat telling him that she is in fact pregnant. And that was the fact that she had dropped her usual glass of red wine for something less powerful and the baked pizza had been something special for her to make. It was to celebrate something special and a new chapter that was about to take place and give something for them to last. To give them a new start, even if that baby could even pass up for a beast. Oh God. What would happen if his child turn out to be a beast? If his own genes could be passed down?
Look what had happened to Tori and Liam. The late red haired woman had been sheltered of all her life and living up into a prison state because of her father's horrible past and his awfull way to deal with people. To kill them for money and yet, it almost came along the way when she was finally freed from her father's hold as her new identity as a uncontrollable beast had finally led her to her inevitable death. Even if she had did saved J.T. and made time for Vincent and Catherine to catch the real culprit. Somewhere inside of him, Vincent had still felt so horrible for many days after her death and even as he felt like when he ended up to be free with himself after she was gone.
However, things weren't as glorious for Liam in a much better way. He spend most of childhood alone and being treated as a monster to which his mother had fell for. A beast. And had left him alone to his sadness and humiliation until he meet and fell for Rebecca, his own fiancee. But his hunger for hatred had gone bad and especially when Rebecca had finally figured out what kind of a monster he had ended up to be. Not only she had left him for another, Alistair, another beast but had been left with a horrible fate and right after Alistair's death, a year later.
However. None of that mattered now. It was his child that he was thinking about now. His and Cat's. Of course, he was worried and might be if this child would come up to term, one day or another and hopefully if he or she doesn't hurt their mother. Cause Vincent wouldn't never and ever be able to forget if his kid would and might hurt Catherine. But he somehow felt so happy.. Oh God. A child.
It might be so unreal, but it did to know that you were expecting. He felt joy inside of his beating up heart. He felt the muscles of his smile tighten up. A father. He was gonna to be a father. To have a family with Catherine and to finally have a future. A real future. He had been afraid that it might have to happen and yet, he felt so much joy locked up inside of his chest as he waved off the tests away from Catherine's hold. Which had left her stunned.
"Vincent?" She wasn't sure of whatever he was smiling now but something told her that he didn't even looked horrified or humiliated as before. Once when he was totally afraid of her becoming pregnant at a time when he had been called up dead and later on, when the two of them were just starting to live as a married up couple when the mess had occurred up with Braxton. However, both tests had came out to be negative back at that time, but not for today when the two of them might as well become parents in the next eight or nine months to come and hopefully if they were still in peace. He turned over to her face as he grinned widenely much to her surprise.
"Gosh, I love you so much, Catherine.."He shook his head in disbelief and leaned back and devoured her with his lips as he kissed her up for a answer. Oh boy, she hadn't expected any of this to go on okay like it was planned. He strocked up her chin as he brought her close as she breathed in into his taste and maned back as her eyes closed as she ran up her fingers through his hair by bringing him up closer to her even. Oh God. He hadn't felt horrified at all but awfully relieved this time and especially when he had told her that he also wanted kids but wouldn't bare it to see if their child had to go through what he had been through as a beast.
She was also as scared as he had been, but willed to tell him the truth once she was sure to be certain of her guessing. He needed to know and now that he knows, Vincent couldn't be more happier even if the future did looked uncertain as a kid would probably run around them for a little while to come and hopefully wouldn't have to go through all of that pain like his or her parents had been before in order to be together forever. For a belief that she couldn't explain Cat had known that deep inside of her heart that everything would turn out to be just fine, at the very end.
"Vincent.."
"I really don't deserve you, Catherine. I really shouldn't, but here you are with me today. Tonight. Giving me the best gift that a man could ever deserve to have..."His voice almost had broke to this confession as she carressed up his cheek and stared back at him with much love.
"You deserve everything, Vincent. Love, happiness and a real life out of danger and out of hiding. you desserve to live a peaceful life. Like everyone else.."She whispered back as she tried to breath out from his deepening kisses when she fluttered up her eyes to meet his. How his eyes had moistened as he tried to take a breath trying to not burst into happy tears when he figured out that she was expecting as she had told him. No wonder, he felt like she was planned something special tonight.
"I haven't realized that I've found it, until I've meet and fell for you, hard.." Despite with what they've been through earlier, he still felt in love like the very first day when he had finally meet. Where he felt so uncertain of what he might become and here, he was. Sitting up with the woman he loves and hearing that they are expecting a child. Their child who wouldn't be left alone with the beast if it ever appeared to become true. Beast or not, it wouldn't matter and Vincent who had often taken things for granted wouldn't let this precious person suffer alone like it had been for him until he had crossed paths with Catherine.
Oh Damn. He couldn't stop himself from smiling. He was far too happy to stop himself from becoming ecstatic and blessed even.
"We're gonna be parents. A real family. The two of us here becoming a family-"
"Three of us, here. Unless you can't hear it yet.." Cat just grinned up as her husband's happy smile made things more clewarer and contagious to be able to resist, even. She was glad that he was happier than ever. Now that they're gonna be parents.
"Sorry. I still can't hear its heartbeat yet, but I'm far too happy to let it uspet me even.." He smiled back to her glance as and laughed back up at that realization. There wasn't any heartbeat that he could hear at this moment because it was too small to be heard. However Vincent felt it was just enough for him to bare up. Many times ago, he almost had lost Catherine because of his awful mistakes and tonight he heard that she was giving her the best present ever. Hope, love and with a promised future to share with him forever. A living testament.
"Who knows, maybe, you would be the first one to hear it.."She smiled back as she wringgled up her fingers to take an hold of his shirt when he raised an amusement eyebrow to her little gesture.."Or maybe, we could also start it by now. You're never to sure when it comes to your beast hearing.."
"Do you wanna bet?" He challenged her back up with a smirk as he grabbed her up and lifted up to his arms and strenched up his legs by standing up to his own footening. Surprised by that movement fom her husband, Cat laughed back as she put her arms around his neck and kissed him once again while he walked up his way to the bedroom. Romantically as Vincent deeply wanted to hear his wife's own heartbeat along with his soon child. Mostly a girl or a boy to be. He would be delignited to be the very first to hear it move or kick even. But as long he and Cat were together into this, then Vincent believed that everything would be as fine as ever.
...
It here is. I know that I have three others stories to complete, but this oneshot had came along the way after I've watched Nurses, an new tv show that I've discovered lately. There was an episode when one of the main and sweetest characters Keon, I believe was taking care of an comatose patient along the way with his fiancee who stayed up all three weeks waiting for him to wake up and when he finally did, he hadn't recognized her up even or even couldn't bare to see her in with him either. Damn, it made my heart broke into tears when the woman felt so sad and felt forced to leave after she had really no choice but to leave the guy away after he couldn't possibly trust her and couldn't give her what she needed from him. So she ended up leaving him, because she really loved him while he just couldn't returned back to her as long while he cannot possibly and remember her at all.
It did reminded me of BATB S2 from the way it had started with Vincent who had no memory when Catherine had managed to find him back and how he ended up so different as a killing machine until he could manage to return back into his old self and return his llove back to Cat after being apart for so many longtime. But I'm glad, they managed to overcome it and faced it together as one. Over here, Vincent tried to comfort a woman and to be patient with her fiancee like Catherine had to be with him before. As she accepted him the new and old one all at once. And how much he ended up to have more confidence into himself after that.
That oneshot could have be taken up as a made up and possible BATB S5 episode. If the show had went on and that VinCat could have had somehow stayed into town and been up expecting a baby. I'm sure many beasties wanted that to happen in the past before the show ended up with them being in Paris, living happily ever after but from the way they've left the ending as an open ending. Anything else could have had happen if someone had taken up the show back up.
Along with my three other stories, I might start an VinCat oneshots collection, if I don't get any other inspiration for my other stories if not, then who knows? But anyways here it comes. Whatever stories is long or not, I'll post it whenever I can. VinCat oneshots. So, if Beasties may have any suggestions for a oneshot. Leave me up a text into my private message box, cause I might be willing to take a few suggestions along the way up. If I have some time outside from work. A few can be from the seasons. from S1 to S4 or maybe S5 even. Anything you want or I may do a few scenes from my stories that couldn't or was better off to be placed in.
Anyways. Thanks again for the support and love, Beasties. I'll see you until next time.
