Chapter 3 Original Part

So I say fuck it, have the original version. This 'chapter' is the part of chapter 3 that was changed. The rest will just be the chapters after 3.

"Mmm, you want me all alone, Henry? You could have just asked," Ian said in his usual playful tone. Henry closed his eyes and breathed deep. Just breathe.

"This facility is working on the next evolution of how our dinosaurs are raised. As of now we only have adult dinosaurs in the park," Henry said as they walked slowly through the lab. He could feel Ian thinking beside him.

"Ah, are you talking about baby, baby uh, dinosaurs in the park?"

"I am," Henry said. He stopped at a glass enclosed room that was dark. It had a single terminal in the center. Henry opened the door and went inside, Ian following. He closed the door behind them and stepped up to the terminal. His fingers worked over keys and swiftly a floating display lit up. Henry brought up various charts, pictures, and strings of data.

"What we are working on is this; I have had a suspicion for a long time that we could engineer dinosaurs to give live birth, and we could achieve this by artificially implanting embryos that we have already modified to our needs inside a host."

Ian was silent, but he was looking around at the data and frowning deeply. Henry continued.

"We have engineered artificial wombs for these experiments to grow in. We start them outside the hosts in these to ensure that they have the best chance for survival. Then we implant the organs with the embryos inside the hosts. We have been experimenting with taking out the already existing reproductive organs during this process as well." Henry had been expecting some sort of outburst by now, but Ian was still looking and frowning.

"In half of the successful implants we have taken out the organs and the other half we have not. There haven't been any differences as of yet in the hosts—the mothers after the experiments have come full term." Now Henry was getting a bit worried at Ian's silence; he was going to build up to a large outburst now.

"I was correct in my assumption and we have had successful trials. The young from these experiments have all had stronger immune systems and benefit greatly from the close bonds they form with their surrogate mothers, becoming much more tame. You've seen the Rexes. Those were our firsts."

The silence was deafening.

"You-ah. You, mmm. Henry," Ian turned to the shorter doctor and placed his large hands on his shoulders. His expression was grim. "You are inviting CHAOS with everything you just said."

Henry forcefully shoved Ian's hands away and turned off the displays. "I am NOT. I am in perfect control of this. I have been in control of everything on these islands for years. There have been very few incidents, and nothing like what has happened before." Henry had to move. He stormed out of the room and began pacing around the facility. Ian followed, his longer steps easily catching him up.

"No, Henry, you're not in control of anything! Splicing genes and making new dinosaurs was one thing, but yes, I will admit that it's controlled in the lab now. There is no way to predict what dinosaurs who give live birth will do. What about the babies? Are you going to have them out there on display? A live dinosaur birth attraction? How do you know for a fact that something won't go wrong? These are dinosaurs and cannot be reasonably expected to live in any sort of constructed world we come up for them-"

Henry stopped suddenly and whirled around, causing Ian to almost run into him. Henry shoved him back and glared up at him.

"That's what this island is for! We have been carefully studying this and we terminate any experiment that even starts to veer away from what we want!" Henry was practically shouting by now.

"You can't control everything Henry! Something will get out of control and we will have another Jurassic Park or Jurassic World on our hands! People will die!"
