"Now to take you down for good!" The mighty young hero shouted above the sounds of roaring explosions and gushing water.

He leapt into the air using the force from his own blasts and turned himself toward the villain on the ground he was facing.

"You never know when to quit, do ya?!" The villain shouted back, lifting his arms quickly to push thousands of gallons of water in the direction of Bakugo.

Bakugo twisted himself around like a tornado, keeping himself in the sky while spinning at high speed. "HOWITZER..."

His body launched forward, sending all his power raining down on the water and the villain.

"IMPAAAACT!" He roared as the falling explosion slowly reduced all the water to steam and sent the villain literally off his feet and slammed into the concrete below.

The smoke cleared as Bakugo stood up over the villain's unconscious body, stuck halfway in the ground with a large cracked crater around them.

"You're done." He said as he grabbed the villain's wrist and pulled him out.

Minutes later, he carried the villain over to police waiting not too far off from the battle and quite literally tossed him their way.

"Get this goon some restraints. He's got a real dangerous water Quirk so I'd recommend fire and wind Quirk guards to take him." Bakugo suggested.

Without wasting another second, not even taking the time to speak with news reporters, Bakugo marched off back to his agency.

One cab drive later, he arrived and made his way inside where a few other heroes and agents on standby applauded and congratulated him on yet another victory.

He waved them off as he marched to his desk and began to fill out the paperwork for the mission without a word.

Was he satisfied with his life now as a professional hero? No. Because he wasn't the best. Although finally graduating and having Jeanist's agency to start with (with negotiation that he would never change his hairstyle to match theirs) was a great new step in the right direction. There was one more thing missing, he felt.

At his desk were the old wedding announcements of Izuku Midoriya to Ochako Uraraka and Shoto Todoroki to Momo Yaoyorozu.

Did he feel lonely? Of course not! He had friends, which was more than what he had in the beginning of his serious career starting at UA. Did he support them? Yes, but out of the public eye. He didn't want to be considered soft, or to have a soft side.

And that was when he noticed a letter on top of the pile of fan mail he received at his desk.

It was from Eijiro Kirishima. And it had pink hearts on it. "Oh great."

"It can't be..." He thought.

Opening it up, the letter literally exploded over his unamused face with pink and red confetti.

"Surprise! We're engaged to be married!" It said in bold bright kanji.

And on the front cover was Eijiro and his girlfriend Mina Ashido all dressed up and hugging and smiling. "Bleugh!"

Inside was a printed letter for all guests invited explaining where the wedding and reception will be held, later this month. And at the bottom it said "All bachelors and bachelorettes bring a date or you can't attend!"

"Who the hell does that spiky haired dork think he is telling me I can't come to his own wedding without a date?!" Katsuki thought.

Veins appeared on his forehead as he uncontrollably shook the letter in his hand. "I'll show that dumb hair that I can find a date for his stupid wedding! I'll bring the hottest babe to his party, they'll all be jealous!"

Easier said than done.

Asking out girls was nothing like fighting villains or rescuing civilians.

As soon as he approached the only girl on his floor, Best Jeanist's young and fiery receptionist sitting at her desk, she looked up from her book and eyed him down.

"No, Zero. I won't go out with you." She said deadpanned.

"I WASN'T ASKING YOU THAT!" He screamed.

"Oh really? Who do you think puts the mail on your desk every day? You think I don't know what a wedding invite looks like? I've been to eight already and none of the boys lasted me." She sighed.

Katsuki steamed with anger, hiding his embarrassment. "I was asking if you know any girls that would be interested." He said through gritted teeth.

The receptionist snickered. "Of course I do. But she's not your type."

"Oh is that so? At this rate I'd take anyone over you." Katsuki frowned.

She laughed. "Does the name Camie Utsushimi ring a bell?"

Katsuki thought about it. Maybe he did but nothing came to mind.

"Nope."

"Perfect. A clean slate. Well, here's her number." The receptionist quickly wrote down on a sticky note a phone number before handing it to him. "Give her a call and ask her to go with you to your friend's wedding. And play nice. If you break her heart in just one night, I'll break your face."

Katsuki scoffed at the threat. Until she reached out with lightning reflexes and stamped her palm firmly on his chest.

He was put off by this sudden attack, but he quickly realized that he couldn't move.

"So long as I make contact with your body, I can paralyze you. Freeze up your nerves. And I'll break something." She said narrowing her eyes maliciously at him.

She then let go, and he could suddenly breathe again. "Jeez! Fine you crazy woman!"

"Have fun!" She waved.

Hours passed since he got home and yet he just sat there staring at his phone. "Asking out a girl? That's nothing! I've taken on powerful villains that could level cities with their Quirks! What's asking out a girl?"

He then thought about his friends.

"If that damn nerd Deku can work up the guts to confess to that roundface dork Ochako, and Kirishima can pop the question to his childhood friend Ashido, why can't I ask this girl out on one simple date?!"

He groaned.

"If only All Might had dating advice somewhere in his career."

Just to be sure, he jumped off his couch and scrambled through his CDs, old videos, and motivational posters of All Might. Nothing nearly as big as Deku's collection, but still a worthy contender for being a longtime fanboy of the Symbol of Peace.

Nothing. Impossible. A guy like All Might could have gotten chicks to last him every night!

No, Katsuki wasn't like All Might. He was better.

"Dammit. I'll show those nerds! I'll be the best date of them all!"

He quickly swiped his phone and dialed up the number.

"Hello!" A loud, girly voice rang through.

"Gah!" Katsuki shouted back. "Hello! This is Katsuki Bakugo asking you...Camie...out on a date this weekend to my friend's wedding!"

For a moment, she was silent.

"Wait, who did you say you were?" She asked.

"YOU DUM- Well..." He cleared his throat and breathed. "Katsuki Bakugo. Explosion Hero: Ground Zero."

She squealed in excitement. "Bro! Nuh-uh! We met in high school!"

He was confused. "...We did?"

"Yeah fam! Well, we went to different high schools but I remember your name and voice from that test thingy with the kids and Gang Orca!" She explained.

It was a blip in Katsuki's memories. One thing he remembered about it was teaching that spoiled kid about what it takes to be a hero and not looking down on others. Todoroki was there too. And some wind guy who screamed a lot.

"Oh." He said.

"Yeah!" She cheered. "Now did you say something about asking me out?"

Katsuki groaned. "Yes. I am asking you out."

She laughed through the phone. "Very forward! I like it, Zero Hero."

The sudden nickname caused him to blush. "Wha- don't call me that!"

"Sooo what day and time then, Zero?" Camie asked.

Katsuki's ears steamed. "This Saturday at six, P-M. My friend is getting married and I need a girl to come with me."

"Bro, I love weddings! Say no more! Saturday at six is perfect for me!" She said.

Katsuki's expression softened on his face. "It is?"

"Yeah, fam! I'd love to!" Camie admitted. "It's a date, Katsuki Bakugo."

"Okay cool! See you then!" He blurted out.

"Text me!" Camie quickly added before he hung up on her.

The explosion-Quirk hero clutched his phone and sighed in relief. That phone-call felt like forever. But it also felt very nice to hear her say yes.

"Damn. I need a suit..."

Eijiro and Mina's wedding was across the city. Camie's apartment was on the way, just a few train stops away.

Katsuki approached the corresponding apartment number with the address she texted him and knocked firmly.

Opening the door was a female hero with red curly hair wearing the most casual off-day clothing for a woman her age: a hot pink bathrobe. Definitely not Camie, although she acted like her.

"Oh. My. Stars! You're Camie's date! Okay! Okay! Don't move! She's almost ready!" She jumped around in place, swinging her arms, and dashing back inside.

Katsuki felt very uncomfortable. And the feeling increased exponentially once his date came through the doorway.

Camie wore a beautiful, shoulderless yellow dress that sparkled in any light like a dim disco ball. The dress came down to her knees, showing off white heels. Her hair was curled and her face looked like she dunked it in a tub of glitter.

It was ugly to Katsuki, but his heart still skipped a beat. And words failed to enter his mouth, catching in his throat.

"Zero Hero!" She smiled.

"I told you not to call me that!" He snapped.

She put her hands up innocently, yet had a devilish smirk on her face. "You look great." She complimented his simple light grey suit, borrowed off of Denki Kaminari's closet and the blue silk tie delivered in the mail to all the groomsmen, courtesy of the Kirishima's.

"Thanks. Uhm. You look great too." He said, quickly adverting his gaze from her blinding beauty.

Camie winked and grabbed his hand. "You ready to take me?"

Katsuki's cheeks exploded red. "H-HUH?!"

"To your friends' wedding, ya dork!" Camie snorted.

"Don't- Ugh! Fine!" He gripped her hand and began walking to the train station. Camie happily ran along even though his pace was impatiently fast.

They took their seats on the train, Katsuki plopped by the window.

Camie immediately turned herself towards him.

"Would you rather be forced to wear shoes full of mud or have your clothes superglued to your body?" She asked.

Katsuki didn't even turn his eyes. "Do I look like some dumb teen girl to you?"

Camie huffed. "I just thought that playing a hypothetical game could pass the time and get to know you better." She said, pouting her lips.

"How am I supposed to get to know you talking about muddy shoes?" He asked.

"Okay. Then, what is your favorite thing to do when you're not on hero duty?" Camie asked.

Katsuki cleared his throat. "Working out."

"Ah, gettin' them gains? Sexy." Camie said.

Katsuki glared at her through his peripheral vision.

"I like managing my social media. The more I post and interact with my peeps, the more jobs I get called in for." Camie said.

"Wait. You mean you get more popularity through your social apps?" He asked.

"Yeah, fam! People love heroes. And they especially love heroes who are down to earth. Super mellow." She explained.

Katsuki thought for a moment. This chick may have a point. People are always on those social media apps, following people they look up to. There was just one problem.

"I'm not really the softie type." He admitted.

"But you do wanna be the best hero out there. I remember that about you. You don't have to be the nice guy, just post a bit more. Like tonight!" Camie pulled her phone from her small purse and held it out in front of their seats.

"Selfie!" She announced.

Katsuki groaned. "No."

"C'mon! Give me a smile. For publicity! I'll tag your name in the post and people will see what a cool guy you are!" Camie said.

"No! I told you I'm not the softie type!" He blurted and stood up.

Camie's smile disappeared as he brushed past her and stepped down the aisle.

The train came to a stop at their destination that moment. Katsuki walked to the door and stepped outside without her. Camie still ran out behind him.

"Hey." She said following him. "Hey." She grabbed his hand and pulled back to keep him from walking on.

Katsuki looked back slightly.

"Walk with me. Just for a sec." She told him.

Without audibly agreeing or disagreeing, he followed her to a bench overlooking the park just a walk away from the outdoor venue where the wedding would be.

They sat down in silence for a moment until Camie turned to face him. "Can I ask you something?"

Katsuki sighed and nodded.

"How do you do it?"

Katsuki's head turned to face her, looking her in the eyes in the light of the full moon.

"Being a hero. You're so...amazing. Sure, your social skills need work. But you're so different from the angry high school kid from a few years ago. You just seem to know how to handle any situation. I gotta admit, I have doubts about it." She confessed.

"What sort of doubts?" He asked.

"Like, I can't just fight any villain. My Quirk is meant for distraction for the most part. So if I see somebody in trouble, I can't just rush in and save them. I have to wait for someone with a stronger Quirk. I just feel..."

"Camie." He stopped her. "Trust me on this. Rushing in to save somebody...never doubt that instinct. I... Some of the best heroes I've ever known have started out just rushing in to save people even though they're weaker. Even though they're not equipped with the right Quirk."

Camie smiled and grabbed his hand gently. "Thanks, Ground Zero. I'm glad I can count on you."

"That's pretty bold of you to count on me for advice." Katsuki admitted. "Actually, all night I feel like I haven't been...enough for a girl like you. Honestly I just need a girl in order to get in to my best friend's wedding."

"Like I said, fam, your social skills could use some work." She snickered. "But lucky for you, I am a patient gal. And I like you, fam."

Katsuki blushed again. He sighed and gripped her hand back silently.

"Whattaya say you and I go to your friends' wedding, party it up, and do this again next weekend?" She offered.

The spiky blonde cocked a smile. "Alright. I like your spunk anyway."

"My spunk, eh?" Camie smirked and bumped him lightly with her elbow. "Alright, Casa Nova. Let's get going."

The couple stood up and resumed their short journey to the wedding.

As soon as they walked in, Eijiro and Mina spotted the two and grabbed them.

"Bro! You made it!" Eijiro cheered.

"Thank you guys so much for coming! You both look amazing!" Mina screamed. Her pink skin really glowed in her sparking white dress and makeup.

During the Couple's First Dance, Katsuki and Camie watched with everyone else in silence.

At this moment, Camie reached up and kissed his cheek. "You are a total softie, Zero Hero. But I won't tell anybody." She whispered.

Katsuki rolled his eyes as he smiled.
