The Nighteye Agency received an anonymous phone call about a small villain attack south of the city in a suburban community.

The Number 1 Hero, Deku, was the first to answer, never giving his eagerness to save someone a break.

"Here is the address. Be careful. And be sure to tell us everything you find!" Centipeder said, the current leader of the agency with a centipede's body for a head.

Deku nodded then rushed out the front doors, almost scaring Bubble Girl to death as he passed her by. Using a number of his abilities to leap high above the rooftops and propel himself forward. After mastering his Quirk, he was catching up to the legendary All Might himself in terms of villains defeated and disasters averted. And with his young undeterrable spirit, he was unstoppable.

People noticed him fly by and cheered, some took pictures and videos. Deku smiled nervously and waved with his free hand as he swung through the streets.

The sun was setting. The neon lights of the cityscape were beginning to turn on, reflecting off of his blueish green suit.

As he reached the location Centipeder gave to him, he dropped down and scanned the area. It was a simple suburban alleyway between houses with tall wooden fences to give the neighboring homes more privacy.

"It's you!"

Deku turned around to face a tall, skinny man with dark messy hair and freckles. It took him a moment, but then his eyes grew big as they normally did.

"It is you..." He said as he slowly stepped towards the hero with his hand out. "Izuku."

Deku turned his head in suspicion. "...Dad?"

The man grinned wide and jumped forward, throwing his arms around the hero and hugging him tight.

Deku, Izuku, smiled back as tears welled up in his eyes. He returned the hug.

The two men pulled away from each other. "I can't believe it! After all these years. Look at you, champ! You look great!"

Izuku couldn't drop his smile at the sight of his father. But he still had the mission.

"You're not the one who called my agency, were you?"

His father, Hisashi chuckled. "How else was I supposed to reach the 'World's Greatest Hero'?"

"Well, you could have called my cell. Or mom's phone." Izuku explained bluntly.

Hisashi put his hand on his son's shoulder. "I wanted to surprise you. See you again after all these years! And just look at ya."

Izuku noticed the outfit his father wore. It was a seemingly nice business suit, with what appeared to be protective padding installed in the fabric.

"This is my last mission for the day. Would you like to accompany back to my agency, then we can go see mom and my family?" He offered.

"Your family?! Yeah! You married that, that uh, Gravity Girl right? How's that been?" Hisashi asked. It was normal to want to catch up on things before actually doing anything else, especially after so many years apart. But something felt different.

Hisashi was never in Izuku's life. He only remembers his face and the first time Izuku had ever seen All Might.

Years ago, before Hisashi switched jobs to work overseas, he took little Izuku out of his crib, out of their small apartment on to the streets where a large group had gathered.

Up in the sky, a yellow, red, and blue figure had landed from incredible heights to deliver a flying villain to the police below, carrying large bags of money.

"Fear not, citizens! This fiend will no longer rule the skies and terrorize your community anymore! Because I am now here!" The mighty Hero announced.

Hisashi and the rest of the crowd cheered in adoration for this hero's victory over evil. Izuku's young innocent eyes looked around and he smiled so hard that his pacifier fell out.

"You know who that is, Izu?" Hisashi asked as he held his son up on his shoulders. "That's a true hero."

"Yeah, her name is Uravity." Izuku answered his father. "We have one son and one on the way."

"No way! Well, I'd love to meet them." Hisashi said.

Izuku nodded and looked toward the direction of the city. "First I have to finish up my work for the day."

"That's no problem with me. I'd love to see your agency as well." He smiled.

"Great! Um. Hold on to me."

"Son?"

"Grab on to me and I'll get us there in just a few minutes." The Hero instructed.

Hisashi looked shocked for a second. "Okay then." He did as instructed, wrapping his arms around his son's torso below his arms.

"Better clench up." Izuku said with a smirk before blasting off with his father.

As they swung across the landscape, Hisashi's eyes grew wide. His mouth hung halfway open in awe at the scenery. "I missed views like this."

Izuku thought about what he said and frowned. As they landed in front of the agency doors, he turned to the older man. "Can I ask what you've been doing all these years?"

Hisashi's smile turned fake. "Ah, son. Just been doing what I can to provide for your mother."

Despite who the man was, Izuku didn't really seem to believe that entirely. He wasn't a little boy anymore. The only thing that reminded them Hisashi existed for the last 20 years were the checks sent to his mother, Inko through the mail. Other than that, he wasn't much of a father, or a husband.

Izuku simply nodded again. "Right." He didn't feel like starting any confrontation. "Shall we?" He offered the door to his father.

"Ah, yes. Thanks my boy." Hisashi smirked and marched through the doors. Izuku followed right after.

"Hello sir, welcome to the Nighteye Agency." Centipeder greeted the two men.

Hisashi nearly jumped. "Oh my. Thank you." He sighed.

"I apologize if it's not much to look at. But Deku should be done with his paperwork soon." Centipeder explained, excusing the young Hero to finish up for the evening.

"Might I stay with my son? Perhaps he could show me around." The old man suggested.

"Sorry, Dad. There are too many confidential records here. It's policy that we don't give public tours." Izuku stated as he left.

Centipeder nodded in agreement. "Would you like some tea, Mr. Midoriya?"

Hisashi shifted his weight. "Yes, that would be lovely. Thank you."

The centipede Hero excused himself to the kitchen area while Hisashi looked around from the comfort of the entryway. His phone in his pocket began to vibrate.

"Hello?" He instinctively answered it. "Yes, I'll see what I can grab on the way back... Yeah, but it's my son here... They seem fine... I'll talk to you more about it later... Okay. Bye."

Bubble Girl and Centipeder came back carrying a small tray of steaming teacups.

"A buddy of mine wants me to bring him back a souvenir. He's never been to Japan." Hisashi explained with a shrug.

A few minutes passed as Izuku ran out of his office door. "Papers are done, Centipeder!" He called.

"Okay. Then you and Mr. Midoriya are free to go." He said.

Hisashi stood up but quickly hunched over and began coughing.

"Dad?!" Izuku asked worriedly.

His coughing continued until large flames burst from his mouth. He arched his back as a line of fire shot up at the ceiling directly on to the fire prevention sprinklers. The alarms went off simultaneously with the water as the office and the people inside were quickly getting soaked.

During the commotion, Izuku lost sight of his father through the jets of water.

A moment later, Hisashi knocked himself into Izuku as they exited.

Centipeder and Bubble Girl remained inside to turn off the fire system before anything important got ruined inside, like the files.

Izuku sighed. "Dad, are you okay?"

Hisashi grunted and stood up right. "Yes, I'm fine. My age doesn't come without its problems though. Sometimes my Quirk tickles my lungs and I find myself coughing them up."

Izuku frowned. "How long have you had this problem?"

"Just a side effect of having the ability to breathe fire and your body getting too old to keep up. Happens to everyone eventually." He described.

The young Hero hadn't really thought of that. How he and his friends would handle themselves in the future. It's natural for human bodies to slowly start to lose control as they get past their prime. With Quirks it was no different.

"But you're okay now?" Izuku asked for assurance.

"I'm fine." Hisashi assured. "Now let's get you home to your family."

Izuku's smile returned. "I could have Mom be there too. She wouldn't want to miss you being here."

The old man ran his hand through his dark hair then nodded. "Yeah. Good. Have her there too."

Not much later, Izuku had literally taken his father up to the apartment deck.

"The backdoor, son?" He asked.

"Oh it's fine. I come through this way all the time. Ochako does too." He opened the door to find his wife, Ochako with a large pregnant belly, with her arm inside a bag of mochi snacks.

"Honey!" She called as she leapt off the couch and hugged Izuku tightly.

Hisashi laughed. Ochako quickly jumped from Izuku to his father. "Who are you?" She asked.

Obviously, she was a little loopy from medication, as well as the baby's never-ending appetite in her womb.

"Sweetie, this is...well, this is my father." Izuku said.

Hisashi smiled as Ochako quickly let go of him. "Oh wow! It's very nice to meet you." She said.

"It's nice to meet you! You're a very lucky woman." He snickered.

"Where's Sachi?" Izuku asked.

"Oh, honey you were out late tonight. I already put him to bed." Ochako pouted.

As the trio made their way inside the apartment living room, they heard a knock at the door.

Hisashi tensed up as Izuku answered it. Inko stepped in after hugging their son. Then her jaw dropped as their eyes met.

To Izuku and Ochako watching, it felt like hours as the husband and wife starred at each other from across the room.

"Hisashi." Inko addressed him.

"...Inko." Hisashi bowed.

Ochako gulped and looked to Izuku, who looked just as concerned.

"W-Well, Mom, Dad. It's nice to finally have everyone together again." Izuku spoke up.

Inko forced a smile. "Izuku, Ochako, would you mind joining me on the balcony?"

There on the balcony, Inko slapped their foreheads with her newspaper. "I'm sorry. I love you both very much but why is he here?!"

"Mom?" Izuku asked rubbing his head. "I don't understand."

"Have you asked him why he's never come home in years?" His mother probed him. "Or why he finally came back?"

"Inko." Ochako addressed her mother-in-law calmly. "What's the matter?"

Inko sighed. "Izuku, your father is a conman. A scoundrel. He has his hand in a lot of very bad pockets. That's where the money comes from."

Izuku's body seemed lifeless as he stood there. "Dad?"

"Your father could never find the right job to sustain us." She began to tell. "When you were just a little boy, he told me one night that he would leave for America for a better opportunity, and that he would never lose sight of his reason for leaving. And I went along with it. For nearly 20 years."

"Then...how did you find out?" Izuku asked.

"Just after you had graduated from UA. I received a phone call from him asking about you." She continued as she looked out to the cityscape and the night sky. "But I decided to trace the call. It was a Japanese landline. He was back in Japan and never mentioned it. And I assume he's been here ever since."

"But Mom, you didn't try to go looking for him?"

Inko held her hand to her heart as tears filled her eyes. "It was just one missing piece to a puzzle I wasn't even trying to solve, Izu. The checks in the mail, the negligence of you, the lack of communication and honesty. He lied to us."

"Is that why you took up a job being a teacher's aid?" Izuku asked.

"I told Hisashi that if I ever see or hear from him again, that I would contact the authorities." Inko then pulled out her cellphone.

"Mom, wait. He called me. He called me at my Hero Agency. Maybe he's ready to make peace with his demons and perhaps heal our family." Izuku pleaded. "Put the phone down."

Ochako gripped her husband's hand.

"I still don't trust him, honey." Inko sniffed.

Izuku nodded. "Okay. Maybe I'll take him somewhere for the night. You can use the spare bedroom."

Ochako looked to Izuku. "Be careful, okay? If Inko is right about anything, he could be a dangerous man."

Izuku kissed her and smiled. "Don't worry, I'm his son. And I'm the Number One Hero. We'll be fine."

She rolled her eyes. "Okay, Deku. Just don't get cocky."

"I don't think that will be a problem." Izuku shrugged. "I'll go inside and get my dad."
