"I need you to make a lesson plan for these subjects." Eraserhead plopped down the textbooks in front of his aid. The whole walk to the teachers lounge he was hyper aware of her embarrassed aura hovering around her.
Aizawa hadn't cared to pay attention to his aid in the past. He provided the work that he knew a management aid would get stuck with in the future. It was also covenant because it helped him to have no worries about his desk being in stock or the seating chart.
This year Mic had made a point in reminding him that, in a way, the aid was his student too and needed to show some more interpersonal communication with her.
Pulling the student card was a low blow. He knows how important these kids are to him. He looked over at Marie. She's been his aid for her whole High School career and he'd never noticed.
How couldn't he have noticed? She was the same calico as his own cat at home. Only the pure white bob and student skirt weren't on his cat.
The bob shaped his aids heart shaped face beautifully. A baby like bone structure that she will always have. A blessing or a curse will be dependent on her mindset. For Aizawa Shotou he'd say a blessing. It gave her pure elegance as she looked through the 4th Grade Curriculum.
He trailed his eyes across her body noticing where the colors started but not seeing where they ended. With her being a student he'd never know where they ended. But he could imagine. If her body matched that of his cat, her color went up her thigh, across her slender torso and ended near her breast.
Marie felt his eyes burning into her. Why did she need to make lessons for a 4th grader? "Um, Aizawa Sensei, Who is this lesson plan for?"
She looked up at the dark eye that instantly looked away and then back again.
"You're to take these and have the lesson plan finished and ready to be taught by Sunday. Find your way back to class." And then he took his leave.
As Aizawa continued toward the door he asked himself why he took notice of his student.
Marie sighed as she was left to herself. Her first day was definitely eventful.
With the chirp of her phone she chose to momentarily ignore the 4th grade work.
It was her usual first day message that she received every year.
Marie was one of three triplets. Her older sisters Bianca and Sakura had advanced their studies. And during their different paths Marie was the one left behind.
Bianca was as dark as midnight while Sakura was as white as snow. Both very unique and high staples in the feline community.
As children the three had started modeling and it was as they got older and Marie's calico colors started getting more vibrant that she was less suited for the job.
Marie believes that this was the beginning of the sisterly separation. The beauty and then her.
The message on the phone was her sister Sakura confirming their plans for the weekend.
Sakura was the sister that Marie was the closest with. As in they still would talk when conversation seemed relievent.
Neither one of them had a common interest and they both had a mutual understanding that they would at least pretend to be interested.
Marie was mostly just happy that Sakura reached out or would even respond. She hadn't seen Bianca outside of a magazine in months.
The message was filled with emojis and explanation points. Which Marie personally thought was a bit much.
She replied and then continued on to the 4th grade curriculum.
Hitoshi had noticed that she had never returned back to class and while part of him didn't particularly care… the other part was curious.
He had found her sleeping at Aizawa's desk in the teachers lounge. How could teachers come and go out of here not think of waking the student up.
When Hitoshi made way closer to the girl he noticed the setting a bit more. She was really taking a cat nap at the desk. The sun shined through the window and shimmered against her hair.
The purple haired student took a seat next to the desk and watched the student aid. He saw that she was surrounded by grade school curriculum and he figured he knew what it was for. He also pinpointed a folder with his name on it. It was probably the work she was doing on him for the year.
He also noticed that her lips were a pale pink. They were slightly opened while her cheek leaned against the desk. He had noticed her gaze meet his lips earlier on in the day. He didn't think much of it but now that he was looking at hers he understood a bit.
Had she had the same thoughts while making eyes for him. The alluring thoughts of what a touch would feel like.
Hitoshi pushed the thoughts away. Hormones of a young adolescent he thought.
"Marie." He called her name and she barely moved.
He leaned in closer and raised his voice, "Marie. Wake up."
She turned her head, waking up and nearly bumped noses with him.
Hitoshi was amused as the feline sprung back due to his proximity. It was very similar to what his cats at home would have done.
He slowly sat up and looked at her appearance. Ignoring her as she spoke to him. Her nails grew in length and almost instantly started to retract back as she calmed down.
"Class is over and we're going to meet at the dorm in two hours. Did you want to go over this portfolio?" Hitoshi picked up the file that had his name on it.
Marie looked at the portfolio and again at the other file with the lesson plan that she had created. It was at this moment she realized the amount of work that was going to be going into her senior year.
"I need to take this lesson plan to Aizawa Sensei before heading out and I'd like to change first-"
"We can talk on the way." Hitoshi interrupted her.
Marie was a bit taken back by the interruption. "Oh, Okay." She started gathering the different files into a pile, "We'll try the classroom and if he isn't there I will just put the files in his mailbox."
Turning to leave from behind the desk, she comes face to face with Hitoshi. "Op." She squeaks.
The purple eyes were looking down at hers. "Were you thinking of kissing me earlier?"
Marie's words were tripping over themselves. "I mean. I. Yes. No. Well Gina said."
She was silenced when a cold finger hit her lips. "Your lips also make me think of kissing them. But I don't know anything about those things and my main focus is to continue to catch up with the rest of the hero class."
He released his finger from her lips and turned to lead the way.
The walk to the classroom was silent. It neither felt awkward or comfortable but simply silence.
Marie still heard the faint sounds with her quirk from far away areas. But had noticed that Hitoshi had light steps and hardly made any noise.
She had to ignore the fact that his silence brought comfort for her.
After finding that the classroom was completely empty they turned in the lesson plan in the teachers mail room. While Marie was in there she was sure to check the mailbox to see if there were any other notifications that she might need to address as Aizawa Sensei's aid.
For Shinso it was expected that his guardian wasn't in the classroom. He knew that he was already back in the apartment home back at the hero tower.
He had not mentioned it to Marie because he didn't think it would be necessary and it wasn't people's business to know the relations he had with the hero. It also posed a threat to the misfit family if the wrong person found out.
The silence continued to linger as they made their way to the regular dorms. Shinso knew where he was going. There had been a time when he was also in these dorms.
But he had never been in the female section.
"We were supposed to be talking while on the way." The feline speaks up as they approach the dorms door.
"Yeah. Sorry for my words earlier."
Marie had been thinking about it, "You know, I don't know anything about relationships either." They made their way to the common room and headed to the elevator.
Marie hiding her face behind her white hair, "I mean, in the feline community relations are more so used, manipulated, or for mating." She turned to look at Hitoshi to see if he was still listening.
Hitoshi was. He understood the stereotypes that came with a quirk. He listened as she spoke.
He hung on to the emotion clearly behind her words and that there were stories behind them.
When she made eye contact with him in the elevator his eyes watched hers.
"I don't want to go down that road. I want more than that." Her words faded out and he saw her eyes travel down to his lips again.
The elevator bell rang and she snapped her eyes back up to him and blushed a deep red when she found that she was caught looking at his lips again.
"Had a friend tease me for having not kissed a boy." She spoke the words very fast and rushed out of the elevator.
Shinso followed behind till they made it to the door that was her room. He saw that she was still blushing and he was starting to get nervous. The kind of nervous when he knew his weird grin was coming out.
So he spoke to hide it, "I'm going to wait out here. Also, I do understand that classmates can be very pushy with peer pressure. Class 1-A has a few with high hormones."
It was his turn to watch her.
She was giving him her full attention. She could tell that he was nervous as he spoke but the fact that he was pushing past that was what made her feel comfortable.
"And I understand that there is a stigma on the quirk that you fall under." She saw as a flash of emotion went through him, "Many people feel that I don't fit as a hero. That I'm better suited as a villain."
Marie gave a soft smile. "I've watched you the few years as an aid and I think you are very suitable to be a hero." She hid her face from the next complement,"Also, you don't have to worry about catching up with the hero class. You've already made it to their ranks and I can see that you'll make it really far in your own direction."
She entered her dorm room with her cheeks pink. Leaving Hitoshi in the girls dorm hall with his embarrassed studio ghibli Totoro grin.
