"Finally!" Blue exclaimed, almost jumping in place from joy, while Dream only sighed. "They are unbelievable..." Dream took his bow and arrows as well as Ink's vials, while Blue took Broomie with him and kept it away from Ink until he was sure the Creator could be trusted. After both witnessed how Ink could be without paint, they didn't trust him to be on their side at that moment. So Dream turned to Ink, vials in hand. "Here, drink these!" He said, as Ink took the vials and looked at them for a moment. Blue and Dream got on their guards as they watched their friend staring at his vials. "Ink..?" Dream asked, as Ink kept staring and not moving. "Don't you wanna go find Error?" Blue asked, worry washing all over him as Ink looked up at him. "Error.." Ink said, looking back at his vials. "Error..." He repeated, and as quickly as he could, started to drink the right amount of paint from each of his vials.
After drinking, Ink shook his head. "Phew! Now that was close, huh!?" He said with the biggest smile he could make, his eyes now showing colors and shapes again. And Both Blue and Dream sighed with relief as Blue gave him his Broomie back. "Well, then," Ink started as he turned around. "let's go kick Nightmare's ass!" He opened a portal with his paint and all three of them jumped through.
He always wanted more power since eating the black apples, but when he met Error, he started longing for something more. At first, he thought he just wanted a new puppet, a new minion that could ACTUALLY get the job done. But eventually, he began to feel something positive eating at him. It was painful, a soft but bright light piercing through his thick darkness that was now his heart. Since he was a being of pure darkness and negativity, the love he felt was hurting him in a way he only ever felt back when he was happy with his brother. He hated that feeling and the pain that came with it. Burning through his bones, that positive feeling only brough fourth the guilt he never thought he would feel from his actions. Was it truly his fault for destroying his home? Was it his fault for eating the apples in an attempt to save the tree? Was it his fault for Dream to turn his back on him when he needed his brother the most?
No, it was not...
And now, all that Nightmare was, was a being of pure destruction. Of course, he only second that title since Error was unstoppable at this point. But nevertheless, he was the second biggest threat in the entire multiverse. And for the longest time, he never thought he could find himself someone who was as wicked as him, someone who was just like him and someone he could love and be with for the rest of eternity. So when he heard about the Glitch's disappearance, he got worried out of his mind. He would never let his prize get away. And yet, his newfound dream got torn right in front of him. Nightmare laid down, defeated. No matter how much EXP he had gained, it was not enough to be on the same level as the Destroyer. Everything he did, was all in vain. And for the first time since becoming the Nightmare he was, he felt genuine despair. His black goop was gone, leaving him in his original form as he was exhausted. He hated showing his weak form, as it made him feel like a failure. So useless, so weak, so pathetic.
The Glitch was too strong to take down, even if he simply wanted to hurt the Destroyer in a way that would make him forget about the Squid.
But it was in vain.
Like all his attempt to make Error see just how much he loved him.
Dust, Horror and Killer were all unconscious around the snowy field of a dead copy of Heaventale. Nightmare tried to get up, but the pain was too much for him to handle. Error walked to up him. "hOw PaThEtTiC, eVeN-EvEn WiTh AlL tHaT-tHaT pOwEr, YoU cAn'T eVeN lAy A hIt On Me!" The Glitch said, smiling wickedly. At that point they had been fighting for an entire day, trying to bring down Error. But all they managed to accomplish was being toyed with by Error who was just enjoying himself. But then, Nightmare got an idea. He knew about Error's eyesight and decided to use it to his advantage. With the last remaining of his strength, he used his magic to invade Error's negative thoughts to gain back some power. The Glitch's worry over Ink and the leftover of his guilt vanished instantly as Nightmare stood up, his wounds healed and black goop back all around him. Error fell on all fours as his energy was being sucked out of him. "There is one thing I had forgotten." Nightmare started. "You get stronger with negativity. Your magic was born out of your own misery." He continued, walking around the weakened Destroyer. "Do you really believe you can defeat me when I can clearly feed off of your negativity?" Nightmare laughed. "If you do, you are dumber than I thought!" He stopped walking and used his tentacles to pierce through Error's body.
The Glitch screamed, as he got trapped in another nightmare, but this time it was different. Nightmare struggled to keep control, and after a few moments, he was thrown away by an unknown force. The goopy figure backed away as his tentacles were practically eradicated. He could only watch as a weird and dark light surrounded the Glitch. The Destroyer was still trapped in that Nightmare, but nothing was happening. That was until the voice he heard the last time he found himself in a dream like this, spoke once more. "I told you Nighty only wanted you for his own gain. He doesn't care about you, and if Ink really loved you, he would have tried to find you by now. He would be there by your side. But he's not, isn't he?" The voice moved to Error's left. "Come one now, Error. We both want the same thing, don't we? We both want to give MERCY to all genocidal AUs. To free the people from the HUMANs that hurts them!"
Error backed away. "CORE Chara... I sHoUlD hAvE kNoWn! YoU'rE tHe OnE wHo TrIeD tO mAnIpUlAtE mE." He said, looking around and trying to find her. "Manipulate you? No, no, no. I am simply trying to make you grow into your full potential. I want you to become who you are meant to be! The Destroyer of the Multiverse!" Error's glitching stopped. "You want me to destroy the whole Multiverse?" He asked, making Core Chara laugh. "Why do you seem so surprised? It's what you were born to do, isn't it? You said it yourself, the Multiverse is full of worlds that shouldn't exist! Who needs a copy of everything when only one is enough? Then again, even one is too much already. The only world that should stay intact is the Original." Core Chara finally showed herself in front of Error. "That's what you said before, is it not?" She grinned, her black and empty eyes looking deep into his own. Error said nothing back, instead he thought about his options. He could easily beat Nightmare, even if the Octopus thought he had the advantage, but he didn't know if he could escape Chara. That child had a bad habit at being annoying, powerful and stubborn.
She would always do whatever it takes to get what she wants, like almost every other versions of her to be honest...
Core Chara laughed as she saw how desperate Error tried to get rid of her. "It's no use, little Glitchy! You can't get rid of me like you can get rid of Nighty!" Chara watched as the glitch got deep into his thoughts. "You won't be able to win without me, Error. Think about it! You'll have more power than anyone in this shithole of a multiverse, you'll be unstoppable!"
