Ki Master

Chapter 18

Author Notes: Well i am back my friends. Last time i sent Rin and Yukio back to school(im sure many of you can relate~) But it's time to see what Mama Demon was doing during all that. I do not own Blue Exorcist.

3rd P.O.V

The first day of school wasn't just a nerve racking pain in the ass for the students, but the teachers as well. "And done! Phew..." It's even worse when one of the teachers only had a few days to settle into her new home on top of figuring out lessons for a bunch of to be exorcists.

"Damn Samael all to hell for this." Her gaze narrows on the worn floorboards and clearly uncared condition of her new home. She couldn't believe the gall that man had. He expected this run down dump to be a safe place for her, Rin and/or Yukio to live?

It certainly was an abandoned dormitory alright, her nose twitched in disgust as various unappealing scents hit her like a runaway train. "Hey...I brought the chemicals and herbs you asked for." Ming Xia looked towards the clouds with a small thank you as Shiro popped his head into the room she was in.

Dropping the supplies she demanded. "Thank you so much. I take it Samael had given you everything?" He better have, the prick owed her for this. "Yeah, everything on your list. Including wolf's bane and foxglove." Her eyes brightened at the mentioned poisonous flowers.

Ecstatic to the point where her eyes sparkled. "Excellent~" Now she had the ingredients she needed to make her potions and healing mixtures...as well as a way to get rid of the atrocious odor filling this building. This entire dorm was getting scrubbed from top to bottom!

"Remember you got classes later this morning." Rolling her eyes, she waves Shiro away. "Yes yes. Thank you. Now move unless you want to get doused in my herbal cleanser." She was well aware of that thank you very much.

As much as she didn't want to teach Ki Manipulation to a bunch of soon to be demon killers, a deal was a deal. She would have them learn...but not the way anyone here would've wanted to her to. She's a demon, not an exorcist. Her husband's lessons and philosophy would be what she passes down.

The priest huffs at her pushy nature, but smiles as the huli-jing sets about shifting forms so she could gain better reach of certain pesky areas. "I wish you luck. If you see the boys before class can you remind them to come to my office later tonight?" She rolls her eyes, but nods all the same.

And people would consider Her a mother hen. Shiro was ten times worse, the boys were fifteen and far more mature than most their age. One would think those two wouldn't need a reminder. But Shiro insists on treating them like the teenagers they are, so she supposes it's not a bad thing.

The relationship between the two of them were odd as well. They were...acquaintances, allies who shared a common fondness for their children. Both her and Shiro consider Rin and Yukio as their kin, though there is most definitely not any sort of romantic interest between them.

Then again, it's apparently pretty common to have such circumstances in the human world. In the realm of demons you can have as many lovers and children as you wish. But there would always be a dominant partner or alpha that would be the most important.

That specific individual would have the most say as far as decisions. To think after over two-hundred years there were still things for Ming Xia to learn. It was enlightening knowing that she could still raise Rin, and now have Yukio in her life without worrying about partnerships.

"As you wish. Now begone. There is much for me to do." Still must he make such requests when she was clearly busy? She only had a few hours to cover as much ground as possible before she meets her new students.

Frankly...she would rather come home smelling flowers and disinfectant than mold that's been accumulating for what seems like decades. Despite her harsh commands, the man chuckles as he waves his hand, finally taking her obvious hint. "Good luck."

Whether it was for her class or cleaning she couldn't tell...nor did she care. Luck was something she had no intentions of relying on now that she could properly move and do things for a damn change. Though she felt bad absorbing the life essence around her, she needed to sustain herself.

She promised her son after all. But that left her twisting her lips in thought as she glances at her grandmothers' books still hidden within the various boxes she brought in. It's been at least a century since she's truly gone through the several tomes...with the exception of a minor cure for sickness or ointment for pain.

But she vaguely recalled while recovering from her blood oath about a passage about an elixir that could better stabilize demons who relied on the essence of life. Usually demons like her would seduce civilians and take their energy while promising pleasure onto their victims.

Or in Ming Xia's personal case absorb it from the air, engulfing the fluttering Ki around her. If she could find the right book with the elixir, it would relieve her worries of accidently making someone ill or killing the environment around her due to her vast needs to live in this realm.

Though that was a thought for another time as she glances at the sun. It was time to start heading to her class. With a small sigh she stretches, relaxing the slight aches in her body before grabbing one of the keys in a chain wrapped around her neck. Squinting as she analyzes the one in her hand.

Frowning she gently pulls the entire thing off her. She's never had a need for them before as no one wished to go near her home. And it wasn't like she truly had anything of possession to steal. Besides anyone that dared tried would've been in for quite the surprise.

But...things were different. And these weren't even typical keys to lock or unlock something, but rather a way to transport from one area in the world to another. "Typical Samael, able to take something as simple as a key and make it overly complicated."

Still it does the trick as she places it into the hole of the front door to her new home. She could feel the magic radiating and shifting as she turns the knob. Much to her surprise...it's not a classroom she's open to. But the entrance to a shed of some kind a bit aways behind the school.

The academy had a large portion of land surrounding it. Typical students were only aware of the surface of their school. That being the front courtyard, the six or so floors full of classrooms and offices connected with stone pathways to the dormitories.

Unaware that a little bit beyond the fences behind the property was an abandoned, decayed building that used to hold students and a large clearing full of flowers and open space. Stepping forth she finds herself noting she's in a decently sized shack.

Desks were in neat little rows with two students per section. And a big blackboard with a package of chalk waiting for her. Topped with the clearing right there for her to see through the window. "So this is where I'll be able to safely teach."

She was wondering how she was going to be able to incorporate her lessons, it seemed the wretched clown actually thought things through. There were still concerns twisting knots into her stomach, but she would worry about that later.

"Oh sweet, we beat everyone here~ Hey ma!" Immediately a smile forms as Rin and Yukio arrive. Surprisingly early. "So this is where we'll be taking your class?" Ming Xia sighs as she watches them put their bags down.

Though she was still tense about her first lesson, she didn't look like as stiff as a statue. "I plan on us being outside for most if not all of our classes, but this will be where we all arrive to meet up. Oh and Shiro wanted me to remind you both to see him at some point later."

Rin rolls his eyes, but nods alongside his brother. Both take a seat, telling Ming Xia all about their day so far. Or rather them exploring the school before taking their first class with Shiro. If she recalled he was a teacher on medicines and herbs.

Seems way easier and better to teach in her opinion. "Rin nearly got eaten by a bunch of goblins." Or not...A chuckle escapes Ming as Yukio goes into further detail of what a royal mess Shiro's class became. A lot can happen within a half an hour apparently.

Rin in turn flushes as he pouts at his twin, feeling betrayed as he gets ratted out. "It was an accident! The old fart didn't have to throw the eraser at me. If he didn't I wouldn't have sneezed and stumbled into his desk." Her mood brightened greatly at the story.

She felt bad for her son, but...typical Rin, nothing ever goes smoothly for him no matter how badly he tries. Honestly it was to be expected as past experiences have shown his rotten luck. He's worse then the bull in the china shop.

Though that was the only eventful memory for their day. The rest of their day paling in comparison. "Well, glad to see you both survived long enough to make it here. But remember, especially you Rin, that no one can know of our familiar bond. You must stay safe."

The two frown, but agree all the same. Unlike Yukio and Shiro, no one could know about Rin and Ming Xia being mother and son. It was unfair. However for the sake of their survival they had to keep their relationship on the downlow.

With a quick glance at the door, the fox demon plants a swift kiss to both boy's heads, before returning to her original position. Yukio blinks while his brother grins, before all three turn their gazes to the now opening door.

She took note of each individual entering. Counting the twins, there were nine students in total. In terms of exorcists that was a good number. Though Ming Xia could immediately tell there was one among the group that was not like the rest.

The hood concealing the face was enough of a red flag, but she could also feel their aura. It was strong, far stronger then a newbie to the world of demon fighting. "You kids got five minutes of mingling before we get things started." This...was going to be an interesting endeavor.

Even without these children's strange manners of appearance(not that she could talk considering her green hair, black sweats and tank top) their auras each told Ming Xia a story. A life not so simple and full of sorrows. She most certainly had her work cut out for her.

Tilting her head back she listened to the nearly silent ticking of the clock. Waiting to see if any new students trickled in, but much to her relief no one else showed. She couldn't imagine trying to deal with two dozen or more of them.

That didn't mean she felt entirely confident with the amount here though. Well...it was now or never. Time to get the show on the road. With a single clap she silences the conversations throughout the classroom. All eyes were on her. "Alright boys and girls. Time for rollcall. When I say your name, please raise your hand."

To be continued.

Author Notes: Muahaha I got Ming as a teacher-something people keep thinking i'd do well in, but i would personally hate! I wish her the best of luck-especially with this class.

So ladies and gents that is it for now. If you like this please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean a crap ton to me! Tchao for now.
