Gold Digger the Insertion files chapter 15

Home is where your hearth it.

This is a fanfiction and I am not making a dime out of this. All characters, references, and other stuff belongs to the various people it belongs to and I hope that you enjoy.

"Is he okay?" Sean asked as he noticed Theo almost start to tremble at the sight of three additional grown werecheetahs.

"Jinkies, dad are you alright?" Gina said in concern as she patted her father on the shoulder.

"Gina please tell me, am I dreaming right now?" The aura mage collected himself and picked the pipe off the floor. "There are three more werecheetahs along with your sister?"

"Yep." Gina smiled. "There is a whole town of them living in Africa in isolation from the rest of the world for decades, and that's not the only thing we found out." Gina somewhat groaned as she looked at her sister and how she was wrapping herself around me.

"Oh what was that?" Julia took a moment from gushing and whipping the tears from her eyes from joy.

"Mom, you remember how I kept dressing up as a princess for Halloween?" Britanny giggled a bit.

"When you were a kid? Oh you were just so adorable in that pink dress with the cone hat." Julia smiled at that memory. I was left thinking of Britanny in her human form as a kid in the most generic "princess" outfit and I just left chuckling at the image. "I always imagined you grabbing a sword and charging out of the castle to vanquish an army trying to storm the castle or challenge a prince for right of marriage."

That last bit was probably one of those amazon culture inconsistencies, but hey why not.

"Well I really am one." Britanny smirked with no small bit of pride as she arched her back to make herself look even taller.

"Oh my goodness that is too cute." Julia chuckled as Gina cast a disapproving look at her sister.

"Well at least you spend like one." Gina shot back as she pulled out the credit card bill she had tucked away in her pocket.

"GEENAA!" Britanny cried in frustration. "Why do you even have my credit card bill in the first place? Did you steal my mail?" Once more I could see the outline of Britanny's fantastic muscles strain under her fur. Gina didn't flinch as she continued to tease her sister.

Putting her finger to the side of her head and rolling her eyes, Gina acting completely aloof and getting under he sister's skin of a bad in-grown toenail.

"Are things always so…loud here?" Brian asked as he scratched his head. He was not completely wrong to ask, but by now I had just gotten used to the craziness of the Digger's home.

"We're sister's pal. We argue like this often, but we are still family." Brianna said as she flirted with the werecheetah male. "Speaking of which, what about your family?" Brian had never had to deal with such a provocative woman before and as such was at a complete loss how to respond to her.

"Well this is all very impressive, but I have to ask how." Dr. Diggers said as he picked up his pipe from the floor. "How did you survive the slaughter of your people?" I could almost feel the mix of emotions from Theo as he was almost crying.

"Perhaps this will take a while to explain." The young man that was with Theo and Julia spoke up. "Would it work that we hear this story over a meal?"

"You're speaking my language pal." Britanny said putting her hand on her hip and her tail moving back in forth like my cat does right before pouncing on a mousy toy. "And who are you exactly?"

"Oh yes I forgot." Theodore smiled as he took a puff on his pipe. "This fine young man will be staying with us for a while as I have decided to take an apprentice." At that moment Gina, Brianna, and Genn turned to see the dark haired twenty something man in a one-piece aura mage outfit. He had a very pleasant smile and greeted us warmly.

"My name is Séance. Dr. and Mrs. Diggers told me a bit about most of you." He waved at us all as the two younger werecats were in awe of the building we were in. Brian was still focused on his duties to his princess and didn't flinch, but Gina, Brianna, and Genn all took immediate interest in the man and Genn in fact shifted instantly into a rather attractive female form who's shirt threated to rip apart as her rather sizable mammaries. At this point Genn the female started pouring on the hotness which was causing the young man to blush heavily.

"Did they happen to tell you about me?" Genn said as the Rakakshi pressed into the young mage and was going on full hunger mode.

"Freaking hussy." Gina growled.

"Aren't you dating that monk guy in Shangri-La?" Britanny pointed out, while making sure to fully stake her claim to my affections by wrapping herself over me.

"That's not the point Brit." Gina growled.

"I didn't get my eyes messed up with blinding powder and fight that martial artist so you could just go drool over the next cute guy you see sis." Britanny pointed out.

"I don't mean to be rude, but don't we have more important things to talk about?" Tanya said getting right back to the business at hand.

The young sorceress had a good point, and she attempted to keep her own cool while her face showed her rising frustration and keeping her arms across her chest. Tanya had quickly and angerly averted her eyes from Genn's exaggerated female form and it didn't take an aura mage to read the young man's confusion at the situation he was in.

"And if memory serves me right, you promised a feast did you not Alex?" Tanya said smirking at me.

"He did didn't he? Which begs the question why we didn't stop in Paris like you promised me?" Britanny pouted.

I shifted instantly to Gambit and smiled back at her. "Now Chere, where we gonna park the Blackbird now without passports for our friends no?" I smiled at her. Britanny still pouted at this, and cranked up the sympathy pouting. "Guess Gambit gonna have to make it up to you no?"

"Please muffin?" Britanny teased me while massaging my abs. "For me?"

"Give Gambit a few hours. Look like we gonna need a big meal for this one."

"YAY!" Britanny jumped up while lifting me up in one arm and pressing my head to her chest a bit. The familiar sensation of her hot body next to mind made me lose focus and I shifted back to myself without realizing it. She just kissed me on the top of my head and smiled at me.

"Well this certainly is fun." Brian said. "What is this place?" The young werecat was in complete shock at the vast subterranean complex that was the Digger's Mansion. Having grown up entirely in the plains of Africa, the concept of forged metal of such a scale probably was as alien to him as Kryn technology was to me.

"My home young man, or rather my family's home." Dr. Diggers spoke up, carefully looking Brian up and down and getting a reading on his character. I was trying to get to the kitchen as soon as possible as there were going to be four very hungry werecats soon.

"Are you a king of some sort?" Brian was deep in awe of the subterranean fortress before him.

"Dr. Diggers, if I may use your communications orb. I must update my prince as to current events." Tanya said as she quickly interjected between Brian and Theo. Perhaps rude, but she had an urgent reason to interject.

"Oh yes of course my child." Theo smiled. "My study is located above ground. Séance please be so kind to show Tanya where it is."

"Sure." Séance tried to politely guide the sorceress to what I am guessing was some sort of magic orb. "Please follow me." As the young man tried to lead the way, Genn pressed herself against the aura mage and would not let him go.

"Okay what has gotten into Genn?" Gina asked blinking a few times.

"As a Rataschi, Genn feeds off of the aura generated from living beings and aura mages generate phenomenal amounts of aura. Which is why I had to make very clear for him, her, it….to keep hands off my Theo." Julia smiled at her daughter. "Now speaking of hands on something, how on earth did you two get engaged? A few days ago you had just started being a couple and now you are actually engaged?"

Julia was almost giggling as Britanny brightly smiled and kissed my head.

"Simple mom, this wonderful and sweet guy worked his way into my heart and made me the happiest girl alive." Britanny said as she wrapped her arms a bit tight around me.

"That and we could tell they had engaged in pre-marital sex the night before and my father would not allow our princess to have her supposed consort not ensure she was honored." Brian said smugly trying to knock me down a peg.

"You WHAT!" Theo went to full demon head mode yelling right in my face.

"Now daddy please…." Britanny tried to calm down her father who was causing most of the guests to nearly scream in fear. I however was too pissed off at Brian to notice Theo's demon head and instead I had broken free of Britanny's hold and tackled the terrified werecat to the ground. Now human me is about 200 lbs and shouldn't have in any way had been able to do what I just did, but I had already shifted into Wolverine without thinking much and pinned Brian to the ground and my claws were right in his face.

"Do I need to kick your ass again bub?" I growled at Brian, who honestly was still too distracted by the demonhead to fully comprehend exactly what was going on.

"Alex is this true?" Theo said as he poured on the magic behind me radiating the whole room with demonic fire.

"Now Theo give him a moment to explain." Julia smiled as she patted her husband's shoulder. "Afterall they are engaged and they did find other werecheetahs so perhaps we can give him the benefit of the doubt." Julia was just as defensive of her daughters' honor but was far more level-headed on this manner than her husband as she did seem to notice that making new friends wouldn't be helped with the demon head.

"Alex please explain what exactly happened before slicing the young man on the floor into bits." Julia said as she approached me. I relented as I wasn't getting anywhere with Brian.

"Alright fine yes as much as I didn't think it was anyone's business but mine and Brit's…." I said returning again to normal. "She invited me into her tent and what we did was absolutely mutually consensual and dang it I love her okay so I defended her honor and proved myself as worthy of her attention according to the werecheetah culture. This included playing one of the most intense games of tag on earth where I had to evade her as Batman culminating in her catching me in mid air and me having to think fast to save her from injury."

"Is this true?" Julia asked as I turned around to look her in the face, but noticed that Julia was now looking at Brit.

"Yep." Brit nearly glowed with pride. "My muffin had me jumping all over the place as he was playing as bat-boy. And that isn't even the best part."

"Oh? Now this I got to hear." Dr. Diggers said, toning the demon head down a bit and lighting his pipe.

"Well daddy when all of the other werecheetahs were so excited about me and muffin being engaged, since no one actually told either one of use what the challenge was about, Alex here picked me up and carried me away for a moment to have some private time and asked me what my wishes where and if I wanted to marry him." Britanny said as she pulled out my college ring. "It was so cute seeing him asking me if I wanted to marry him regardless of what we just went through."

"Wait he carried you?" Julia chuckled.

"Yep. He is just adorable." Britanny blushed a bit.

"Auburn? Really?" Gina smirked at me.

"So your schools don't get along sis big deal." Britanny stuck her tongue out at Gina. Just about everyone else was still on the edge of their seats as Theo still had not turned off his demonhead.

"So he is a romantic, but still doesn't excuse what he did with you." Theo said in overbearing father mode.

"Excuse me?" I asked, way too irritated to care about the demon head. "What I did to her?" I was about livid at this point, and probably would have been trembling if Julia wasn't standing in the line of sight between me and Theo. "This is your house, she is your daughter, I get that. And she is my fiancé and soon to be wife. But do you know what else Britanny is, which I doubt any of you would get?"

"What your waifu or something?" Gina joked at me.

"Yes, but beyond that. She is the first woman I have ever kissed on the lips, the first woman I have ever shared a bed with, and the first woman who…" Britanny tackled me and covered my mouth going shush to me as I continued.

"Hey it's okay dear you don't have to defend my honor that much…" Britanny said as she picked me up off the floor to clam me down a bit. "But I am deeply appreciative of it."

My outburst had shifted focus away from Theo's demonhead to my fiancé trying to prevent me from blurting out too much in my repressed emotional pain and defense of my choice of actions.

This caused Julia to chuckle and Theo to relent his illusion. Brianna and Gina just laugh at me. I would get revenge on them somehow someway.

"My my you are defensive." Julia calmly pointed out.

"Indeed, and I must say I didn't expect you to have quite that reaction to being questioned." Theo said as he calmed down a bit without the demonhead illusion. "You may want to learn to control your anger though."

I was just left having to calm down as Britanny kept me held close.

"I hope that you save some of that energy for me later muffin." Britanny whispered in my ear.

"Yea people are nuts." Megan said as she took everything in. "We get carried off on a giant metal man that turning to some sort of machine to another metal contraption, then get flown over here and everyone's losing their bloody minds because our princess and her bo decided to perform their royal duties and all the while I dona have a single clue why everyone is yelling at eachother." Megan was absolutely lost as to the entire situation. "I mean that horned guy is now a big titted girl who is hitting on the pretty boy after having done the nasty with the middle height sister not but a few hours ago. And by the way, why is it that every gal here has boobs as big as yea head or almost? What on earth are they feedin yea?"

At this point everyone was laughing almost to the point of crying.

"Okay okay everyone is due some explanation of what is going on." Gina finally said. "Megan, this is my father Dr. Theodore Diggers and my mother Julia Diggers. He's an aura mage and she is a weapon's master of Jade."

"It is a pleasure to meet you my child." Dr. Diggers said shaking the young girl's hand. "My wife and I are honored to meet you and welcome you to our home. Pardon the confusion but it isn't every day that we find out Britanny isn't the last werecheetah alive."

"So ye be the ones who adopted our princess?" Megan said as she calmed down a bit.

"Indeed, and Britanny is our daughter so we are very protective of her. Even if not by blood we have raised her from a baby to the woman she is." Julia continued on.

"After seeing the whole of her family dead and mostly mutilated….." Dr. Diggers shook his head. "I kind of go overboard a bit protecting all my family in every way. Alex just seems to have a knack for avoiding my 'demon head' ability."

"Considering I can do you one better are you really surprised?" I point out. "Two if you include Scorpion with his mask removed." This sadly was completely lost on everyone else, but as everyone else was laughing anyway they just shook it off.

"What is he talking about?" Brian asked in complete confusion.

"Ignore it kid; it will keep your sanity." Gina said patting his shoulder. "So Alex care to get lunch ready for everyone?"

She still had not figured out that please existed in the English language. "Care to re-word that one Gina?" I ask her as I adjusted into Batman which freaks the heck out of Gina.

"O' great not that guy again." Sean groaned as he sighed in defeat. "Can ye go five minutes without someone who scares the piss out of me?"

"Same with me." Gina was shivering in terror due to her known fear of bats. I just let them tremble in terror for a bit as I made my way to the elevator by myself letting Britanny chat with her family.

I smiled as I shifted back to Gambit and got to work. The same massive kitchen that a few days ago I had made Britanny tuna and chocolate chip pancakes now was empty again of anyone so I was completely free to work as I pleased. I quickly pulled out one of the huge tuna's from the freezer and a few knives.

"Chere better be thankfully ol' Remy doin' this." I deftly spun the blades in my hands and sliced the skin off of the fish's flesh. While cards may be Gambit's most famous tools, the inhuman dexterity of Gambit got from his X-gene made the job of prepping the meat to be a breeze. I popped open one of the cabinets and liberally salted and peppered the Tuna flesh. I was busy tossing the various utensils through my hands when I heard the voice of Mesha as she went to the fridge.

"Oh you're back?" She asked as she got herself a drink.

"Indeed mon frair." I smiled back at her as I started the stove. "O'l Remmie just making lunch so you tell your bo it be about half an hour before meals served.

"My how sweet of you." She asked. "Tark was just working in Dr. Digger's library so I will let him know about lunch being ready soon."

I smiled and nodded at her without missing a beat. If I wasn't so busy with other investments, I may have opened a restaurant and put on a show for the guests. Oh well I had other things to do and didn't have time. I just wrapped the tuna in aluminum foil and put it in the oven to bake. I proceeded to go about my business with the salad, bread, and everything else.

It was a few minutes before I needed to turn the tuna around in the oven so I started trying to make the presentation work. Of all of Gambit's abilities, his cooking abilities are seriously overlooked as he was well versed in French and Cajun cooking so I was doing my own variation of the famous "Be our Guest" scene from Beauty and the Beast. God rest Jerry Orbach.

It was about this time that Mesha had returned with Tark and the two were enjoying the show.

"Is this like those places in human culture where they have the cook make the food right in front of you?" Tark asked out of curiosity.

"Now mon frare you just seeing Gambit work cause of room, Gambit prefers to work with cards." I smirked at them as I was almost done. I had hoped that I had made enough for everyone, but with four werecats, three humans, a lycanthropoid, a kyrn, and two elves I was only guessing.

"Well it is still very entertaining." The elf said with a bright smile and a chipper voice. I smirked back at her while going about my task. I was in fact so focused on my work I almost didn't notice that I had a few more watchers looking at me.

"Now where you all come from now?" I smirked as the various members of the Digger's household were now all watching the show.

"Don't mind us babe. Keep doing what you are doing." Brit said as she leaned over the counter top. She had the biggest smile I had ever seen on any woman in my life and I was overjoyed at her response to my work.

"Well chere you know me. Ol' Remie always aim to please." I smirk back at her, and then tossed the blade into the air, caught it, and proceeded to slice to bits the lettuce for the salad.

"Are meals always so…entertaining around here?" Séance asked as he used his magic to summon the bowls from the cubbard.

"If this back at the Xavier Institute then things always being exciting around Gambit. But with more explosions and less theater mon freir." I then pulled the tuna out of the oven and was met with the sight of five drooling catpeople and a few more hungry eyes to boot. I was about to start carving the chuck of flesh when Julia pulled out her sword.

"Please allow me." The matriarch of the household would not have accepted no even if I had tried to politely refuse. So I stepped aside and let her do her thing.

"Uh mom what's going on?" Gina asked confused.

"Oh nothing dear, just not going to be shown up too much in my own kitchen." She smirked without malice at me.

"I'm not going to complain." I said going back to my normal self and deciding to just let her do what she wanted.

"So who's hungry?" Julia smiled as she neatly sliced the fish to bits faster than anyone could blink. It was as if she had copied Snake-Eye's subtle cut technique perfectly. "And please guests first." She gave the two younger werecats a sort of motherly smile.

"What is this wonderful food?" Megan said as her eyes widen in awe and she almost drools while rolling the slice of fish in her mouth.

"That kid is tuna, and the most yummy fish in the sea." Britany smiled while she was straining to be patient while the three guest werecats got their first taste. Brianna was in the same boat as her older sister and was doing the puppy-dog eyes in front of the huge chuck of fish in front of her.

"Faith and begora this is the most wonderful thing I have ever eaten in my life." Sean said as he was about to stuff his face full of as much tuna as he could get.

"Sean manners." Brian almost barked at him.

"Can't blame the kid for being excited." Brianna smiled at Brian while trying to seductively flirt with the Captain's son. "Try it yourself stud." At Brianna's prodding oldest of the new guests gave the fish flesh a taste and his eyes went wide in an instant.

"My word this is amazing." Brian looked like he had just dropped a serious bag of catnip and everyone could see him trying so hard to not follow Sean's actions.

"Well looks like the meal is a success." I said watching everyone start to dig in. At that point Britanny actually got her chance to try what I had done and the instant the Blue-fin's flesh touched her tongue she shot straight up, rushed over to me, and picked me up.

"Uh you okay babe?" I was completely unsure what Britanny was up to, but as soon as I saw her smile she laid a massive kiss on me. The taste of baked tuna with seasoning filling my mouth as Britanny pressed her tongue into my mouth and she started to suck the very breath from me.

"What do you think muffin?" Britanny said as she hugged me.

"I think I did good…"

"Babe you are amazing." Britanny smooched me again before putting me back down on the floor and rubbed her forehead to mine. "More than made up for not stopping in Paris for lunch." She then pulled me to the table and kissed my forehead.

"Ahem." Dr. Diggers said as helped grab the cups and plates. "I said ahem."

I was about to get up and help out of instinct, but he looked right at Britanny.

"Why don't you help get the table set dear." Theo suggested politely to Brit as she started to get the hint and actually helped set the table. I started to stand up and assist as well, but Brit patted me on the shoulder and kissed my forehead and slightly forcefully pushed me down to make clear that I wasn't to get up.

"Sure daddy." This shocked the three other werecheetahs as they were now being served by the one who was there long-lost princess. What shocked me a bit more was how easily Britanny was following the request from her father. It was then that I noticed that Tanya had joined us and had a rather discouraged look on her face.

"Hey Tanya how did the call go?" Brianna asked her friend as she directed the sorceress where to sit. The kyrn looked somewhat dejected at first, but smiled at Brianna as she was handed part of the meal and welcomed among everyone else.

"It went…well I suppose." Tanya said in a very down tone and started to enjoy her meal. "My prince will happily host the peace talks the werecheetah and werewolves, but will need to meet with Britanny and Jetta about what this peace will entail." She then got back to her meal and smiled a bit after trying it.

"I can't believe how good the food is always here." Tanya said as she downed a huge chunk of tuna.

"Expecting bland cooking or something?" Gina asked as she looked at the guest.

"No, just stuck as a stone statue in a state of living death for years." Tanya said as she addressed her host. "So all our food is spare rations and what we can gather from the forests till our crops grow again." The Kryn sorceress had no myrth in her response. "I'll have to ask for the recipes before we leave again as I know the royal cooks would not forgive me for not getting how to make this."

"Wait royal cooks?" Ben asked in shock.

"Yes I am a member of the royal family of the City of El Dorado." Tanya said getting back to her food.

"El Dorado?" Sean asked, still trying to get somewhere with the petite woman at the table.

"Yes the city where I live with my beloved." Tanya said, putting the kid's hopes to a rest…or at least she hopes.

"And he would be?" Sean said as he is half-way through his meal.

"The PRINCE." Tanya said, having enough of being hit on by the teenager.

"Will he be joining us here at some time?" Brian asked in a far more polite manner.

"He will not be sadly." Tanya said as she sighed a bit, but just enjoyed her meal.

"I am sure that he has responsibilities that he can't leave." Theo said politely as he was grinning to the point of beaming. "I am just overjoyed to find that there are still werecheetahs left on earth beyond our wonderful daughter."

I don't know if Theo was using his aura to affect people or if that was just his generally calming disposition at work, but it seemed to have the same effect as when I used Luke Skywalker to calm everyone back in Africa with the use of the light side of the force. However you didn't have to be telepathic to feel the guilt in his voice.

"If yea donna mind sharing, what happened?" Sean asked as he took a moment to stop stuffing his face.

"That…isn't something that is appropriate for conversation during a meal." Dr. Diggers said as his face just dropped.

Britanny just shivered a bit, as she knew a bit more of the details while Julia and Gina really just looked extremely sad.

"But I will say that I was overjoyed to welcome Britanny into the family as a baby." Theo smiled as he patted his adopted daughter's shoulder.

"And she has been an absolute joy as part of our family." Julia added

"Wow so you all really did think that she was the last werecheetah alive in the world." Brian was in shock at this. "If I may ask, why didn't you look for us before?"

"Simple really." Brit answered. "Someone had to watch miss smarty pants over there and we had no idea where to start looking." She then almost inhaled a huge slice of Tuna steak. Britanny is not known for her impulse control afterall, and she was purring every moment she moved the meat around in her mouth.

"We shouldn'ta been that hard to find." Megan said, having a little more control over her dinning habits. "If yea talked to any werecheetahs they coulda told yea about us." Megan said as she tore into her own meal.

"Uh about that…" Theo tried to politely mention.

"Oh….ohhhhh." Megan said as she completely had to eat crow.

"Noice one sis." Sean said as he was finally not the one on the receiving end of karma.

"If you three don't mind my asking, how long are you expecting to stay with us?" Julia asked politely.

"Well ma'am we are here hopefully as long as our princess needs protection, and we still have to fly off and talk with the werewolves about coming to this peace conference." Brian replied. "And I have no idea how long it will take to have that conference set up as we are waiting to hear back from this Stripe fellow on his schedule. I apologize if we are an inconvenience to you and your household. If we can somehow pay our way while here I am more than happy to assist. And I am sure they will be as well."

Brian said this as he began to fiddle with his small satchel strapped to his loincloth.

"I don't know if this will cover much, but this is all that we have." Brian said politely as he pulled out a handful of diamonds.

"Jinkies where did you find those?" Gina said as she looked over the raw and uncut jems with awe. Britanny and Brianna's eyes went huge as they looked at the small stones before them.

"We occasionally dig them up while digging through the volcanic soils for our limited vegetation needs, or a new well." Brian said as he placed the stones on the table. Gina took out a small pocket lense and looked the stones over before whistling.

"Brian while we appreciate the offer we…." As Julia was about about to politely decline the exceedingly generous offer Gina's communicator started to go off.

"Hello? Oh hi Stripe yes we are all here. I thought Tanya gave you an update…Oh I'm sure that is okay." Gina continued as we all now were directed towards her.

"Sure we are having lunch right now, is it important? Ah okay got it." Gina said putting the cellphone like device on the table. "Okay Stripe you are on speaker mode."

"Oh good. I am terribly sorry for the interruption of your meal, but this is something which cannot wait." Stripe said very politely. "I wanted to personally make clear that the City of El Dorado is more than happy to host a peace conference between the werecheetahs and werewolves." This put a smile on everyone's face.

"However, as the city is still recovering from over five years of inactivity in our fields and overgrowth the talks won't be able to be held for at least a month."

"A month my prince? But what…" Tanya was in shock, and in a deep sense of fear.

"Tanya I know this is a huge imposition, and if you want to come home I understand. But please this is not an exile but we just don't have our home presentable for guest and we don't have the food stock needed for additional people." Stripe politely stopped her. "I am asking you though to please stay and continue to act as our people's representative. You know more about the people involved than anyone else and you already have made friends, and I trust you in this unlike any other of our people."

"Really, you are asking me as you believe in me?" Tanya said, far more relaxed at this. "Yes, and I know that we don't have housing…would you be willing to house Tanya for a while? I don't have cash but I know that gold is considered tradeable so I would be willing to part with some of my private resources to cover whatever Tanya needs."

"Are you two cousins?" Brianna asked Brian, who was in shock at having offered the exact same offer just a moment ago.

"I think we can work something out." Theo smiled as he talked into the device. "But in the meantime Tanya is our guest along so she will be treated as such."

"I can't thank you enough for that. And Tanya I am not able to articulate how thankful and proud I am that you are doing this. Jazelle wanted to say that she was overwhelmingly happy that you got to be part of this and wants to hear about your travels in detail when you return."

"I…I don't know what to say actually." Tanya blushed. "I am honored my prince."

"Now I won't take up more of the time I have stolen from you, I thank you so much for all that you have done so far and continue to do."

At that the call ended, leaving us all pretty perplexed.

"Well I'm glad we have plenty of guest rooms, but we can't just have everyone stay around the house for a month." Gina pointed out.

"Nor can we just leave everyone to their own devices in a world they know little of." Julia said in thought.

"If we are any trouble.." Megan started.

"Oh don't worry child you aren't any bother." Theo pointed out. "I'll just have to contact my old friend M and have you four given some sort of diplomatic standing while here."

"And go cloths shopping." Britanny said quite happily. "What? Look loin cloths and string bikini's are great for the tropics and all but we can't just let them stroll down downtown Atlanta looking like they came from the set of Tarzan."

She was right afterall. Which meant more mall visits and more bills. "And as cute as that sweater was on Tanya she is going to seriously overheat if she tries wearing that all the time here."

"Trust you to have a pragmatic way to work your seeming obsession with fashion into a very good point." I said.

"What's wrong with my taste in fashion?" She asked me.

"Nothing is wrong with it love. We were so focused on trying to make peace that it completely slipped my mind and I'm guessing everyone else's." I replied back to her, getting her to smile a bit at me.

"Great, so after lunch you turn into another transformer guy and take all of us to the mall where…."

"Uh no sis he can't." Gina pointed out bluntly.

"And why not?"

"Because Alex needs to work with me and Brianna on making the arch reactor demonstration we are going to give Japan to try and pay the bills needed to pay off your debts before the wedding. Not to mention try to figure out what technology we can share as we branch out Gold Digger enterprises." Gina had a very good point and I couldn't just leave them high and dry on that.

"I'm guessing communication tech would be a good choice." Brianna pointed out. "Love the weapons you have Alex, but I am not mass producing pulse rifles to sell to the military."

"Maybe body armor then. And I am keeping a lot of that tech behind closed doors." I shuttered to think of the carnage weapons from centuries ahead of modern defenses would do in the hands of some tin-horned dictator. Fusion cannons, plasma weapons, the various augmented ammunitions of Mass Effect, Colonial Marine corps, heck half of Dr. Doom's work alone would be enough to rival entire nuclear stockpiles…so yes what was release had to be carefully considered.

"Well non-lethal means would probably be okay." Brianna pondered. "I can think of a few police forces willing to pay for some sort of crowd control devices." Brianna may love to make things go boom, but she also developed a "stun" setting on an A-10 warthogs main 30mm minigun.

"I guess I need to make a phone call then." Theo smiled. "After we finish this delicious meal."

"Where are you going off to dear?" Julia asked with curiosity.

"Since there are living werecheetahs, and they are going to have a formal peace with the werewolves, my old collogues at Agency Zero would probably want to know about this." Theo sighed wearily.

"Want me to join you on that trip dear?" Julia nodded her head understanding her husband's frustration at the prospect.

"No it is okay I will deal with it." Theo smiled back at his wife. "Plus you probably have to let the Edgeguard know about this peace talk."

"Think they would want to have some sort of representative to the peace talk?" Theo smiled. "At the very least to verify that the feud being over so that werewolves and werecheetahs who want to visit Jade can do so."

"I'm not sure if that will ever happen, but perhaps you are right." Julia admitted. "Besides I would love to see Garfield again."

The meal continued in more or less the same amount of small talk and planning. Brit, however, was about to rush off with a giddy smile about shopping, when her mother stopped her dead in her tracks.

"Britanny dear aren't you going to thank Alex for the lunch." Julia asked as she almost daintily cleaned her mouth off with a napkin.

"Oh sure." Britanny kissed me on the cheek and rubbed up and down my back with her boobs, slightly teasing me. "Thanks so much muffin. I'll thank you more later tonight."

I was blushing at the event and looking forward to tonight eagerly. Julia, however, wasn't accepting it.

"I mean young lady that perhaps you could clean the dishes since Alex did such a good job cooking today."

"Awe mom." Britanny started to argue against her mom's wishes, till Julia shot her a death glare that caused Britanny to stop dead in her tracks. "I'd be happy to help."

"Wonderful." Julia smiled at her adopted daughter and placed her utensils on the plate. "Thank you very much my dear."

The three werecheetahs were watching in confusion as their "princess" was serving them. Séance didn't even wait to be asked as he started cleaning as well.

Britanny reluctantly took everyone's dish and headed to the sink. "Gina do you think you could help find Tanya and Megan something they can wear as we go out cloths shopping?"

"You're going to join us mom?" Britanny asked as her ears piped up and swiveled a bit towards her adoptive mother.

"Of course I am." Julia smiled. "We will need some time together to prepare for your wedding." Julia was going into full mother of the bride mode at this point and I just tried to save some of the remaining tuna as a treat for Lily.

"Hey Alex when you are ready I'll be down in the lab." Brianna said to me and shot Brian a flirty wink. "Going to jump on that arc reactor proposal we discussed." Brianna then walked to the elevator while wagging her butt back and forth teasing Brian.

"Huh, what was that about?" Séance asked, while trying to be polite with Genn's own flirting.

"Oh just trying to work out the details on proposing a new power source that will provide enough energy to power most of nation with half the cost of most fuel sources and how we could try it out in Japan as a way to prove that it works so that we could try it on a large-scale here in the US to help get the funds to pay off Britanny's bills before any wedding happens." I said in a completely dry-pan voice as my mind was racing between trying to get the funds needed and the next question about how in the world I was going to get back to my home and introduce Britanny to my family. Which I had not idea how I got here in the first place.

"Wait, you're honestly trying to pay off all of Britanny's bills?" Theo said with something between a chuckle and a smirk.

"What? One of the biggest reasons for long term marital problems is finances and the last thing I need is to start our partnership with a debt rivaling most international traded companies over my head." I said as I place my plate in Britanny's hands and stood on my toes to kiss her cheek.

"Still love you babe." I told her as I smiled as best I could. Britanny smiled and tickled my butt with her tail.

"I love you too muffin." Britanny smiled as she smirked at me. "See you later tonight."

I headed down to the lab to work out the details with Brianna to how we were going to build an arc reactor big enough to power at least the city of Tokyo and how to approach the potential danger of whatever energy draining ugly we would have to deal with. I shifted into Tony Stark again and started going over the data from the current models we had built.

There was the one that powered the Gold Digger estate, the ones installed in the few Ginamobiles (which seriously looked like a small fleet of Lamborghinis), and the ones in the Black Bird all had more than enough power output to sustain each machine beyond the life-expectancy of anyone in the house outside of Genn, who had a life measured in millenia.

The issue with these units though is that each reactor was designed to power a closed system where maximum amount of output was more or less limited so designing for that limited power output was easy. Building the infrastructure of a city is completely different as you have to do serious amounts of math for the demands of a constantly growing society with increased amount of power draw with each passing year for a building that would have to work for decades.

This is where I wouldn't have a clue but thankfully Tony had actually built one of these before and Brianna was not only equally brilliant but also extremely creative and had the benefit of having a very…non-linear thought capacity.

"Okay so based on the growth rate post WW2, and the rapid increase rate of technology and power requirements…." Brianna went over a series of census data and spreadsheets on the table. "It looks like we are going to have to build more than one reactor."

"Two in tandem near eachother would take less space than one huge reactor, and be more stable." I admitted as I did the math in my head on the resources required. The cost would be the next item to work out along with budget. This was where I shifted from Tony Stark to Bruce Wayne.

"And we will need to add the cost of waste storage to the proposal as radioactive waste storage is a huge drawback when compared to the lack of pollutants from arch reactors." Bruce was far better at budgeting that Tony and far more of a number's guy.

Brianna nodded as she shot back a cup of coffee. "So any of those guys in there have pull with the Japanese government?"

"Uh no. Remember none of those I become have a history in your world. Which is why I don't just write a check for the amount Britanny owes and then go from there." This got Brianna to chuckle.

"What would that be, a third of Stark Enterprises net worth?" Brianna smirked at this while marking on the pages for resource estimates.

"More about Tony Stark's pocket change, as for Wayne Tech….probably as much as a yearly cleaning budget for all of the Wayne properties for a quarter of a year." I said in Bruce Wayne's typical deadpan reaction.

"How much do those guys own?" Brianna blinked for a moment.

"The numbers change regularly, but both are multi-billionaires with companies valued almost half a trillion dollars each."

"Do you think Britanny would mind sharing you?" Brianna said, somewhat joking.

"That I have zero access to in this reality." I said, acting as if I didn't hear the question.

"Well you are still cute at least." Brianna didn't even miss a beat as we both got back to work.

It took several hours of number crunching to finally arrive at the hard data we needed and at the end we were both beat. From flying a super-powered craft from Africa, cooking a meal for several people, planning a peace talk, and on top of that now doing serious number crunching to try and make the sales pitch to a foreign country with which I have no connection to try and show that it will work in the US. Right now both Brianna and I were going off of steam and large amounts of caffeine.

"Say Alex is there a time frame we need this prospect submitted by?" Brianna said, as she was bout to pass out on the table.

"Sometime before Britanny tries looking for a bridal dress and maid of honor options." I said as I downed a rather large amount of sweet tea. "And hopefully before someone claims I did anything to be ashamed of or claims I knocked her up."

"You still on about that? After looking like you were going to beat Brian's teeth out I figured that everyone would be dropping the matter." Brianna smirked. "And I didn't realize you would be so…touchy about something so natural."

"Bri you are my friend, so please understand that I have…"

"Brit was your first, you have obvious issues with women, you want all the bonds that go with a relationship and have been obviously worried about something that you don't feel either worthy of Brit or fear she may leave you." Brianna said with zero humor. And then smiled at me with a knowing look. "Alex babe you know how many guys would be trying to pay this mountain of bills off that Brit gets? Between having to have custom cloths to all the jerks who ruin her dresses all the time and then all the shoes she burns through? Brit may have spending problems but they aren't all her fault. Plus loosing two families she kind of tries to fill her hurt heart with stuff. You.." Brianna said pointing at me. "However fill her life with something deeper and that she values more than just looks."

"Oh I didn't…"

"And trust me we Diggers girls all have issues, and can be very flirty and seem a bit…"

"Easily distracted."

"Sometimes downright shallow I'll admit. But genuine sweetness and a kind heart bring out the best in us." Brianna continued. "And having just seen your outburst I'm guessing you have a lot of pain inside too but want something that really matters so do yourself and Britanny a favor."

"What's that Bri?"

"Relax and try to calm down a bit." Brianna smiled. "Not that Brian wasn't out of line, nor that this isn't important, but no need to run yourself ragged as I don't want Britanny to see you as distant. She is a very…affectionate person and needs her intimate time."

"Think we need a break?" I ask her. "Just say the word and we stop."

"Oh I think we are done already." Brianna said as she compiled the paperwork we had. "I'll let Gina develop the rest of the proposal while you go back upstairs and get all kissy face with your fiancée."

"Thanks Bri." I said heading for the elevator.

"Just think over what I said Alex and you'll do fine. Also try not to beat the snot out of any of her friends without reason…Britanny is hyper protective of those she cares for and you really want to stay on her good side."

I found Britanny in the living room on the phone with someone. Lily was on Brit's lap purring as my love ran her nails delecatly through my cat's coat and scratched under the fluff-ball's chin.

"I know it's true Dannie." Britanny smiled as she kept holding the ring I gave her in her hand. A proper ring would wait till later as I knew my university ring wasn't going to work as a true solution.

"And you'll just love him. He is kind of a superhero himself…well several superheroes and such." I sat down next to her and gave Brit a hug. "Well not that I know of…I don't think dad has introduced him to M yet…"

I just rubbed my cat and Brit a bit and listened.

"Wait hold on…you okay Dannie?" Britanny's voice went serious for a bit. "Don't try to hide this from me girl you and I are friends for too long…Of course I trust you just…that bad huh?"

And now I was getting concerned. Britanny just listened for a few minutes. "Dannie this is bigger than just some run of the mill baddies giving you a hard time and you know it…Oh no they….Dannie we will be there first thing in the morning. Love you too girl."

Britanny hung up and her face dropped so fast that I could almost hear it.

"Hey you heard that huh?" Britanny said with a forced smile on her face.

"Part of it babe, what's up?" I asked rubbing her back.

"That was Dannie.. Danielle Carter is her full name. One of my besties for years and another superhero. Calls herself the Avenger if you can believe it. I was letting her know about our engagement and was going to tell her privately about how my people are alive…but turns out some group of baddies are giving her trouble and even her crime fighting partner is forced to fight her to keep innocent people safe. I know we just got back from Africa and all but I can't just…look if you need to stay I'm sure I can…" Before Britanny could continue I stood up and smiled at her.

"You said her code name was Avenger?" I ask again, which Britanny put on the biggest grin seeing.

"Well then…" I shifted into a familiar mountain of a man in pose and character with a bright white star on my chest, red gloves and boots, and a big "A" on my forehead. "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" I call out as Britanny hugged me tight and was almost at the point of tears of joy.

"I seriously need to get my own superhero costume for this babe." Britanny said running down to the lab. My cat just started licking her paws after being moved from her warm spot.

To be continued.

Sorry this took so long to get to. I have been exceptionally busy and needed time to sit down and try to get my copious ideas down on paper without it seeming like a mess of random fandom concepts and give fans the next stage of my story that people are due.
