Gold Digger the Insertion files chapter 18

Can we get moving on time?

By Agent Reptile

Gold Digger belongs to Fred Perry and other characters belong to their respective owners. I am not making a dime off of this so please don't sue.

I wasn't sure what to expect for the Duncan household, and having spent months at the Digger's mansion I was almost expecting that the house was probably going to be modified to allow Barbra to move around with the ease that Britanny did. However as I rolled up as Ironhide with a massive load of cloths and other "stuff" Britanny thought was important in my bed, the suburbian two story home with a simple two car garage had this simple for lack of a better expression "homey" look to it that looked very different from the confining skyscrapers I was used to from my short experience in New York.

I rolled up to the side of the street and parked myself opened up my doors. The sight of a 2007 deep red GMC Topkick probably turned a few heads in this town filled with 90s sedans and coupes in a time right before the whole SUV craze and the roar of a massive 10.4 L V-8 diesel engine was quite a shift from the econobox builds of the early 90s supposed "high price" for barrel that was ruining Detroit and boosting the Japanese market. Well honestly it was a cybertronian body running on energon, but still I was just about roaring when I drove through the sleepy bit of open family living just outside of the massive city spread where Dannie lived.

"Yep this is the place" Dannie said as she waited for me to park before unbuckling and struggling slightly to get out of the large cab of my truck-form.

"Nice home." Britanny said as she stretched a bit, having to pull her dress back into place as her bending and being seated down had moved certain parts into spots that were not quite suitable to public display.

"Oh this is actually lovely." Brianna smiled jumping off of the bench seat and almost bounced as she made room for Genn and Brian to get out.

"Wow that your truck?" A young man somewhere between 7 and 9 who was running down the driveway of his house followed by a familiar smiling blonde about 20 something years old.

"Well mine I guess you could say." Britanny said tapping the top of my hood playfully. She then started unloading all the boxes out of my bed. She wasn't even breaking a sweat doing so though what she carried was now dozens of feet over her head. "Okay babe all clear." Britanny said as she handed off the packages to Brianna.

"What do you want me to do with this stuff sis?" Brianna said looking at Britanny like she had grown a second head.

"Well could you, kinda sorta….put all of this is your weapon's space thingy for a while?" Britanny pleaded with her younger sister with rather large doe eyes.

"Sorry you want to what?" Brianna looked at Britanny flabbergasted. "Personal weapon's space isn't a endless void of storage space but a carefully organized index slightly out of phase with our reality. Do you have any idea how specific I have to be with anything I stuff in there so it doesn't become lost in the nether? I have to keep track of every single bullet or thermal clip in there or it will get drawn into a faulty recall signal and possibly explode while being extracted." The weapon's expert of the Digger's sister said chiding my fiancée.

"Well could you try just once. For me?" Britanny smiled. "Since about half this stuff is really just wedding cloths including bridesmaid stuff and such."

"And it could get ripped to pieces by reality itself sis. Look I'll just lightgate it back to your room okay." Brianna pulled out her hand-held unit and directed Britanny to put the cloths on the ground. "Just don't expect them to be organized when we get back." The genius said pressing her unit and in a flash a portal opened up and engulfed the massive set of boxes.

"Why's that Bri?" Britanny said scratching her head. A very different

"Because it will fall down in your room as the portal opens up a few feet suspended in air. Otherwise the boxes may fuse with whatever is in your room."

"Okay enough chatter." I said in Ironhide's usual thick accent. "Am I all clear to transform or are you still meddling with my bed?"

"Don't worry muffin we are all clear for you to…"

At that the familiar sound of chuchoochuchucha resounded as I was now standing even taller than Crush in her giantess form and I stretched out my limbs and swung my cannons around.

"Ah that's better." I said carefully moved around the street.

"Oh that is so cool. Your truck turns into a robot?" the young boy said smiling like mad, only to be somewhat restrained by his younger sister.

"Actually I am an autobot that disguises myself as a truck there kid." I said becoming human again.

"Oh my, he turned into a giant robot. You were a giant robot and a truck. That is just so cool." The kid continued.

"Calm down bro. You are acting like you did when I showed you my abilities." Barbra patted her brother on the shoulder then ran up and hugged Dannie.

"Easy girl." Dannie smiled, getting a little flustered by her hyper affectionate friend. "I'm happy to see you too."

"Wow you are very tall." The young boy said to Britanny as he was still in the "I'm hyped up on meeting new people and have very little impulse control so I will point out obvious things while having that strangely look of awe meaning I'm not saying this to be rude" phase.

"Uh yeah I kind of am." Britanny smiled as she kneeled down to look the kid in the eyes. "So what's your name kiddo?"

"I'm Tim." He smiled. "Are you a superhero like my sister? You look really strong." The kid was kind of sweet and Britanny tussled his hair as she patted his head. "Well I do work out a lot." This was emphasized as my beloved lady pulled up her shirt and curled her arm to show her biceps.

"So you're like my sis?" He asked while smiling.

"Sort of kiddo, but I'm a werecat." Britanny said smirking at the boy, who now was getting called back in to help with the meal from his mom.

"That was adorable." Brianna smiled at her sis.

"Hey he's a sweet kid. Better than running in fear right?" Britanny replied as she stood up and adjusted her sleeve.

"You want one don't you?" I smiled at my love as she had that warm comforting expression on her face.

"Well yeah duh." Britanny said to me as I took her hand and we headed towards the house. "You think that comment about wanting a lot of kids was a joke muffin?"

The visit to Barbra's family was nice and they were so happy just to have their daughter back that the fact two werecats, a shape-shifting aura-eater, a catgirl, and myself were welcomed with the biggest open arms I could have hoped for. That and offered some of the largest food portions we could see.

"Are you sure we aren't imposing on you?" Brianna said as her eyes went massively wide as a rather large portion of food was presented to her.

"Oh don't worry sweetie. Ever since our dear Barbra started showing her abilities, we are used to having generous portions prepared just in case." Mrs. Duncan said as she placed a massive dish in front of all of us.

"I'm more shocked that myself and my princess are so welcomed in your home. Aren't you afraid of us my lady?" Brian said to Barbra's mother. Mrs. Duncan's response was one of the most wholesome and maternal looks I had seen on anyone.

"Young man, you helped bring my daughter back home." She said patting Brian's shoulder. "I don't care if you are all furry. I do care if you don't use your utensils though." Brian had then caught himself as apparently he was about to just grab food with his hands.

"So are all of you superheroes like my sister?" The young man of the family asked.

"Uh kind of, I guess…" Britanny said as she scratched the back of her head. "I mean I do fight crime from time to time, but nothing close to a full-time thing."

"We do seem to get pulled into it a lot though." I pointed out passing an exceptionally large plate.

"More like someone always tries to start something and we just end it." Brianna said almost drooling at the delicious meal before her.

"So tell me again how you know Barbra?" Mr. Duncan asked looking us over, somewhat confused as to the nature of his guests.

"Actually most of us are friends of a friend." Britanny said as she started her meal, cautiously making sure to not dig into things with her usual gusto. "See Dannie and I were childhood friends going back to grade school in Atlanta."

"We actually went on quite a few adventures together stopping badguys as costumed heroes." Dannie smiled at this.

"And you are actual werecat people right?" Mr. Duncan said, trying very hard to be polite about the whole thing.

"Yep." Britanny said as she downed her next bit. "Shapeshifting, three forms, change based on phases of the moon, the whole bit."

"The princess is far too humble." Brian stated. "We are very much werecheetahs and like all lycanthropes we are very in-tuned with our animal side but still people."

"Princess, you never said we had royalty coming over Barbra." Mrs. Duncan said in surprise. She looked like she was about to have a conniption at this.

"Please don't go overboard." Britanny said trying to diffuse the situation. "I didn't even know myself till a few days ago. I just thought I was the last werecheetah alive till we found more of my people in Africa. Before that I was just a normal Georgia girl who happened to be part cat."

"Dannie I can't thank you enough for still trusting me." Barbra said as she sheepishly smiled. "I didn't think anyone would still be there for me for what I did."

"But sis you're a hero, what happened?" The boy asked as he didn't really understand what happened.

"My identity was found out bro…which meant that one really bad guy forced me to be his muscle otherwise they would hurt you. I kind of had to do something that hurt someone I trusted because if I didn't then they would have killed all of you." Barbra said with a massive amount of shame and fear.

"Oh baby." Mrs. Duncan said giving her daughter the biggest hug possible. "It is okay you did what you could. I know you wouldn't let anything happen to us, but you can't be forced to do wrong like that again."

"Yes mom." Barbra blushed at this.

"You have a gift, and you can't let other tell you how to use that power because I know you would use it right." She reminded me of a certain Uncle Ben, but what if Peter had let his uncle know about his abilities.

The meal was nice and the Duncan family were extremely nice, but sadly the meal was cut short as Britanny, Brianna, and Brian's ears started to swivel.

"Something wrong love." I ask as I see Britanny's face contort and her eyes narrow.

"Don't you hear that?" Britanny asked as she jumped out of her chair and looked out the window.

"Hear what?" Dannie said as she grabbed her staff from her purse.

"Sounds like something roaring." Brian said as he extended his claws preparing. This was a bit of a shock to most everyone else at the table and Mrs. Duncan run into an inner room with her son while Mr. Duncan grabbed his gun and we ran out to the street.

At this point even us without super-human hearing could hear the roar of massive engines as the street was now bright as noon as the roar of massive engines cleared the area of most trash.

Barbra at this point had gone from "able to fit into a house" to the size of a house while Dannie had just about half of her superhero outfit on but nearly lost her hat to the thrust running down the street.

"Okay now I'm officially impressed." Brianna said as she whistled as aircraft ruining a large amount of people's dinners as it landed down in the open baseball field are. It was then I saw Brianna, the most gun-happy weapon's junkie on the planet wasn't even holding a firearm much less in one of her many battle armors.

"Hey Gina, what's up?" Brianna yelled at the top of her rather loud voice as she ran over to the aircraft and finally under the lights of the thankfully open field I saw that yes it was the Blackbird in all of it's glory.

"Brianna action now, future danger, insane dog…" Gina started rambling on as she grabbed Brianna and pull her up the loading ramp of the jet.

"Gina…you…aren't….making…sense." Brianna said pushing Gina's hand off her arm and started sounding like William Shatner. "What is going on and why are you here?" She asked calmly, trying hard to get her sister to slow down long enough to understand the situation.

"Was exploring a new island with Ace and Penny, got ambushed by some insane time-traveling dog and his minions. We need to get going to make peace between the werecheetahs and werewolves night now or the future will be ruled by that psycho. Also this is Charlette. She is a harpy."

"Um hi." The girl said in a somewhat bubbly child-like voice and was waving her three-fingered hands in a friendly greeting.

"As much as I am happy to see you again Brianna, your somewhat demented sister is correct in our situation." Tanya said as she walked down the ramp, her current more modern outfit was somewhat tattered and several holes and large splotches of mud covered her fur. "We have to leave at once to attempt to get Jetta on board this formal peace or we may be ruled by hyper-intelligent canine overlords."

"Wow are you all superheroes too?" the young Duncan member smiled with joy.

"Pardon, we were guests at a friend of a friend's home having dinner together when you joined us." Brian said explaining to everyone, but with focus on Tanya. "The young man is rather excitable with heroic exploits, probably from his sister and such."

"His sister?" Tanya asked.

"Me, is there a problem here?" Barbra said, as she looked Tanya in the eyes.

"My word you are rather tall." Tanya said catching herself. "Uh not a problem, but we are in need of the rest of the Digger's family and we need to move as fast as possible."

"Count me in then." Crush smiled pulling on her mask. "Not letting you have all the fun."

"Hold it right there little missy, you are not going anywhere like that." Mrs. Duncan said to her daughter rather bluntly.

"But mom I can't just hear the world is in danger and not help." Crush said pleading.

"Oh hush you." Her mother replied. "I'm talking about going out without a full meal. Last thing you need is for you to run out of fuel fighting evil. Now you are taking this with you..oh and look at your friends." The matriarch of the household said. "Looks like they have been through the ringer already." At that Crush's mother ran back and forth to and from the house with enough food to feed the First Marine Division. "Now make sure to give those badguys what-for."

"I like her." I smiled at this.

"Oh bless your heart boy, now you make sure to come back and tell us all about your adventure when you save the world." Mr. Duncan smiled at this.

"And make sure to take lots of photos. I want to know all the places you go." Mr. Duncan said handing Crush something.

"Uh what is this dad?" Crush asked as she was trying to keep all the rations from falling over.

"Your passport." He said. "You'll probably need it where you are going."

"Awe thanks Daddy." Crush blushed.

"Here let me help." Britanny said grabbing some of the bags that almost blinded Crush. "Okay off on another adventure again." Britanny yelled as she ran up the loading bay and tried to cram the food into various loading bins. "Stupid freaking…"

"So uh guess we'll do the introductions in flight then?" Gina smiled slightly.

"Mrs. Duncan thank you for the wonderful meal and the excellent company tonight. I am sorry that we have to run off like this, but the world needs saving." I said shaking her hand. "I promise to return as soon as possible with tales of adventure to share."

"Just get going. I swear you are way too formal." She smiled back and waved me on.

"And he wastes time he doesn't have left." A rather gruff growling voice said as everyone turned to see a rather angry black dog hovering in some sort of device with a huge man with a collar on that looked like some discount version of Juggernaut minus the armor.

"Is that who you want me to fight Mr. Peachbody?" The oversized mountain of brute-force asked.

"I have told you before, it is master to you Benji." The big black lab growled. "And yes please kill him for me. I doubt he will be a challenge, but as he seems the one anathma in our plans for the future I can't let him survive." I was not liking this one bit.

"Okay you literal son of a bitch, if you want a fight I am more than happy to give one." Crush smirked. She rivaled this Benji guy in every physical way, and looked like she wanted to throw down hard.

"Mom, Dad, get out of here quick." Crush yelled over her shoulder as Benji ran at her and tried to throw her to the ground. Instead Crush pivoted and threw Benji over her shoulder into the metal surrounding the back end of the home plate.

"Now is not the time to be frozen mein freunds." I said shifting into Nightcrawler. I grabbed the two parents of the Duncan family with my hands and wrapped my tail around the son. With a loud BAMF we disappeared in a cloud of brimstone and reappeared 30 feet away. "It is not safe to stay here. Please call the police and tell them what is going on."

"Wow you really are a superhero." The young boy smiled as I teleported back to the fray. One where this Peachbody was dodging and weaving from Brianna's firepower while Benji was landing punches on Crush between him getting smacked in the head while Britanny tried, with little success, to take out his joints.

"Well don't just stand there Gold Digger, do something." Penny screamed at Gina. "There has to be some weapons on this bird we can use."

"And what hit Crush or Britanny? The Blackbird doesn't have offensive capabilities and we can't take off while these two are willing to attack civilians."

"Gotten abend." I said teleporting closer to them. "Do we at least have a plan lebchen?" I smiled as best I could while appearing seemingly out of nowhere on the back of one of the seats.

"AAA!" Penny and Gina cried. "Don't do that!"

"Sorry, but what is going on?" I asked trying to assess the situation.

"The big stupid one is holding his own against Crush and Brit while Brianna seems to be on her own against the dog guy." Ace said trying to load one of the M-41 A-2 pulse rifles. "I'm trying to load this thing to help, but how do you?"

"Here." I said taking it. "Slam the magazine in then pull back once to charge the bolt. But only shoot at him when he is away from people as the rounds are armor piercing and explosive." I said as I bounded out and landed on top of Benji.

"Perhaps it would be best if we could talk about this first ya?" I ask as the oversized maniac tried to grab me with his huge hands.

"Nope I'm just supposed to kill you." He said in a rather cheery voice.

"Ah well that is too bad, as I plan on living." I smiled back and proceeded to pull out two rather impressive swords. "En garde then." Few people may know this, but among Kurt's many gifts he is an Olympic level swordsman who's childhood hero was Errol Flynn. So jumping off of Benji's head I sliced at the hands coming at me.

"Ouch, why you little furball." He yelled in pain as blood started to flow from the wounds.

"Hey tall dark and stupid." Britanny yelled at the top of her lungs. "You think that hurt, try this!" Running at somewhere near 60 MPH, Britanny launched into a flying kick that was aimed right at the guy's head and connected at the back of Benji's skull. He went down hard into the ground while Brit had to roll off of the blow, onto her hands, and then summersault to avoid landing painfully.

"That hurt." Benji roared. "That hurt a lot."

"Yeah hopefully more than it did me." Britanny said rubbing her foot. "Guy's got a head like solid iron."

"Just stay down already." Crush launched herself into the air using the opening Brit gave her to pile-drive into Benji's back trying to use her elbow on his back. The man screamed again and rolled over pulling Crush into a headlock.

"You aren't stronger than I am. No matter how big you may be lady." Crush sadly was losing air and her strikes to his flanks weren't doing much good.

"Iron you said Brit?" She nodded at my question. "Let's see how he does against steel." I needed to keep Benji from getting a solid lock on me, and while his hands were busy trying to suffocate the life out of Crush, I enveloped myself in shadow and teleported in a frenzy of movement with my swords dancing over tendons' muscles, and other places I could think of to try and bring him down. Fast strikes with my feet, blades, and tail were doing little individually, but as blood started to drain from Benji's form he lost his grip on Crush.

"Okay pal, that was bad." Crush said as she coughed a bit getting her breath followed by punching Benji right in the face.

"Get in there and fight you….oh not more of this nonsense." Dr. Peachbody complained as he covered as another stream of particles hot enough to melt titanium lanced over his head.

Brianna was letting Peachbody have as little time to help as possible as the hover device was getting rattled with plasma fire.

"Hey pal I'm not letting you get away with hurting my family." Brianna cried as she kept her shots on target.

"Brianna got any idea how to knock him out of the sky?" Avenger asked as she was trying to aim her sticky wand somewhere good while dodging some sort of energy projectile.

"Actually I do." The gunbunny smiled. Ace get your butt over here with that rifle, Avenger try to gum up those directional vents with as much goop as you can."

"You have a plan." Avenger smiled.

"Oh and it is a doozie of one." Brianna replied as Avenger ducked under the hover craft and fired off a series of globule splats clogging the vents that provided thrust. Peachbody tried to turn around and fire at Avenger, but Brianna was constantly redirecting his attention towards her as she zoomed around on some sort of extended thrust pack. It had some sort of extended wings and a jet booster on the back that she strapped on rather than part of her usual armors or zero-suit assortments. Thankfully she was using a portable shield generator so that she was protected from the flack of Peachbody's aircraft.

"Okay so this is like any other carbine right?" Ace said as he shouldered the weapon and aimed.

"Close. Keep it in three round burst fire and wait for me to tell you when to shoot." Brianna smiled as she and Ace kept rolling trying to keep Peachbody's blasts from being aimed near the houses. But there always seemed to be a delay between one of us moving and Peachbody's actions. Something Brianna picked up immediately.

"Let's see if you like this pal." Brianna smiled as she pulled out a vial from her back and tossed it as hard as she could causing the contents to start spreading all over the front of the craft and soaking Benji's whole view screen in clear liquid.

"Hey G if you were trying to blind him I don't think it worked." Ace said as he had to run again from the spray of firepower, but firepower that was getting more and more erratic.

"Oh but it did Ace. He's a dog remember. May be super smart, but I'm guessing that his sensors are made for a canine, as in they track smell." Brianna smiled as Peachbody was struggling to maneuver and his aim was, for a better word, shot.

"What was that? Some sort of cover scent?" Avenger asked as she completed her task, making it almost impossible for Peachbody to fly with any sort of control and was now effectively blind.

"Sort of, I just tossed my cheapest perfume all over his sensor array." Brianna smiled. "As a canine he probably has pheromone and scent tracking rather than vision monitors. May have some sort of auditory sensors as a back-up, but at least it's progress."

Where were Tanya and Brian? Tanya was busy with a shield spell keeping the civilians from being hurt and Peachbody and Benji contained at some level. This was made excessively hard when Crush was slammed hard against said shield by Benji, only to turn around and slam Benji into it in turn.

"Would you stop doing that?" Tanya yelled as the stress of trying to hold the danger being a shimmering barrier. "I'm not really good at large scale defense spells." The kryn sorceress said as she could feel the shockwave of the impact of massive muscled warriors slam against the defense.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Brian asked Tanya.

"Keep the streets clear in case my spell fails." Tanya answered. "Because if that mountain of beef starts running, you'll need to keep everyone away from him."

"This doesn't seem to be going anywhere." Britanny said as she was rubbing her hands and feet as small trickles of blood covered her knuckles. She was hitting Benji with such force that she had had dug into his skin, but sadly nothing strong enough to do any real damage. A normal human would have been cold-cocked from a single blow, but this Benji guy seemed to be able to tank the damage with little to no difficulty. Britanny sadly was used to muscling her way through most foes, but she had to dodge and weave attempting to strike with a combination of speed and strength to attempt to take out legs or other joint while avoiding getting grabbed.

"Tell me about it. Do you know this guy Brit?" Crush asked as she picked up third base and tossed it right at Benji's head causing it to bounce off his skull with a nasty *thunk*. Wasn't sure how strong Crush is in her giantess form, but I could just about see the shockwave of the hit going through Benji's head as a wave of force. For something that is essentially fabric, padding, and some form of weighted metallic base, this was highly impressive.

"That hurt a lot." Benji yelled as he started charging again. Not nearly as fast as Britanny, but he didn't have to be as anything that he got his hands on he would likely be able to squeeze into oblivion. This was not something I was going to tolerate.

"NEIN!" I yelled as I jumped onto the big guy's back again and wrapped my tail around his neck. "Now time to say auf wiedersehen." I smiled in Nightcrawler's usual creepy way when he wants to unnerve his foes. In a flash of more brimstone I BAMFed away with Benji and reappeared dozens of feet above the ground.

"What how….." Benji said as she found himself way above the ground and falling like a rock towards the pitcher's mount.

"Auf wiedersehen." I said teleporting back to the ground leaving Benji in the air.

"Hey where big dumb and brawny?" Crush ask as I teleported in front of her and Britanny. Both looking like they were in serious need of Silver Surfer's healing ability.

"Oben." I said pointing to the now falling foe about to make landfall on the pitcher's mound.

"Dr. PEACHBODY!" Benji screamed as he did a massive belly flop onto the rise on the ground.

"Of all the stupid things. How is it you under evolved primates could be so troublesome?" the talking dog said as he was now completely unable to control his craft and was having a horrible time working the controls inside.

"Okay Ace blow that top off." Brianna said as Ace let rip a series of three-round bursts. For anyone who doesn't recognize the weapon in his hands, the M-41 A2 pulse rifle is the main weapon of the United State Colonial Marine Corps and can blow apart a xenomorph in just a few shots. The 10 mm rounds went right through the canopy and Dr. Peachbody started to scream in terror as he now had to keep his head down while trying to navigate the pod from crashing into the ground amid broken

"Blasted, blazing, stupid…" and various sundry howls of disagreement roared from the black lab as the craft was shot out from under him and he bailed. "Very well so you managed to destroy my transport. I shall take this loss and lick my wounds only to come back stronger. I have to re-think my strategy with you all in mind once more." He then smiled the cruelest and most sadistic smile I had seen since I had faced off against Dreadwing months ago. "Farewell fools." He pressed the tag on his collar, only to find himself still stuck where he was. Several presses later he was still going nowhere.

"Well this is…certainly embarrassing I shall…"

"Oh you are going anywhere pooch." Gina smugly replied as she and Penny were aiming some sort of remote device thing at Peachbody. "Anti-tachyon transmitter unit. Had to build it on the fly while the big guy was being dealt with. Probably not powerful enough to counter whatever your craft may have had, but against that tiny thing around your neck you don't have enough power to get out of the county much less into the time-stream."

"How, how on earth did a bunch of primitives construct that?" He yelled in a mix of frustration and almost fear in his voice. "You shouldn't be able to even grasp the concept of temporal space diolation at this point."

"Wouldn't you like to know." Gina smugly replied as she kept the thing focused on Peachbody while Penny ran around the side of the ship and had an identical unit focused on the dog.

"Very well, but I'm guessing that you will have to keep that focused on me to keep it working it's little annoyances." The dog then tried to run away from Gina's focus, which was a desperate gamble to say the least.

"Oh like heck you are." Britanny smiled as she tore after Peachbody leaving a trail of dust while rounding past third base going around the Blackbird to cut the dog's escape off.

"Crush you okay to deal with the big guy?" I ask returning to my normal self.

"I got him, you just help Brit capture that mutt." Crush smirked. I took that as my indication to just run off after the mongrel and did so assuming the form of a rather large dromaeosaur, or in more common expressions a raptor dinosaur. I raced around the other way towards the target hoping that perhaps to cut him off and capture him between Britanny and myself.

"Huh primitive, even more than expected." Peachbody said as he tried to avoid the beam stopping his time travel powers by jumping into the dug-out of the home team before Britanny could grab him.

"Primative, I will show you primitive you flea-infested vermin. Dinobot MAXIMIZE!" In a swift blurr of motion my dinosaur head tucked down to form the chest of a robotic warrior as a crested head filled with sharp teeth with red eyes popped up and robotic legs dropped down from the dinosaur's torso while what were the legs of the dinosaur swung up into hands. I then focused on the back of the dog's neck and fired a beam of green plasma with almost surgical precision right at the strap holding the tiny transmitter he kept trying to use in place.

ZERP

And sliced the strap clean through causing the thing to fall into the dug-out away from Peachbody's paws. Okay maybe not surgical precision as I also burned a bit into his neck that caused him to scream with pain as his eyes went so wide as to nearly pop out of his skull as his head shot straight back and he howled in pain.

"Too easy you little twerp." Britanny smiled as she grabbed Peachbody's neck but couldn't slow herself before she would go into the dug-out. So instead she effortlessly turned her body like a icescatter so that her feet hit the brick wall at the back and she bounced off with an explosion of energy dang near jumping over the Blackbird's portside wing as she ran up to Gina.

"So who is this guy again, and why did you have to fly all the way out here in the middle of the night to warn us about him?" Britanny said as she kept a firm grip on the back of Peachbody's neck.

"Some sort of hyper-evolved canine warlord from a time-line where dogs rule over humans." Gina explained. "Dang near killed Penny, Ace, and myself when he unleashed his muscle guy over there and this girl at us." Gina used her thumb to point at Charlotte.

"I'm really really sorry about that." The bird-like young lady said apologizing profusely to us.

"Well at least she smells nice." Britanny said as she licked her lips. This caused Charlotte to hid behind Penny in terror.

"Dear, perhaps it would be unwise to scare one who means you no harm." I said while brandishing my sword in my clawed digits. "And focus more at the one who has proven his interest in killing us." I smiled as I pulled the rotating blade towards Peachbody's exposed neck.

"Okay so what was that plan you were trying out Ge?" Ace asked scratching his head as he looked at Brianna. "Cause if you wanted to bring the aircraft down I could have just, you know, shot at the bottom."

"Oh simple Ace. I didn't want to cause a nuclear explosion in case one of the rounds hit the powerplant. But with Avenger here making the flight-controls useless it was easy to make the craft completely unsafe to use without the contained environment of the canopy. Once that blew I figured I could drive him down with plasma streams and your cross-fire hoping to get this mutt to crash."

"So I have a question, why?" I ask as I drew my sword closer to dog's throat.

"Why what you robotic butler?" Peachbody snidely asked back.

"Butler? I am Dinobot former Predacon warrior and honered loyal Maximal who has laid down his life to protect this world and it's future." I roared at him. "While loathe to strike down any lesser being, with you perhaps I will just remove that witless head of yours so easy and desperate to attack without forethought." I really wanted to just slice the dog's head off and be done with this, but even I had to admit that the blade of Dinobot would have been an extremely painful method of execution as the rotating metal shafts did not formed a single cutting edge, but rather a hardened grinding surface of counter-rotating segments that would have caused excessive pain to organic life as it dug into flesh in a manner more like an excavation tool that a sword.

"Muffin relax." Britanny smiled at me, looking into my eyes about the same level as her own. "I could just break his neck if you like. Quick, painless, and less murder and more putting down a 'mad' dog."

"Uh wouldn't that be murder though Britanny?" Penny asked tapping her boot in displeasure. "He is intelligent after all and sapient. Shouldn't he, I don't know, go to jail instead?"

"When you are right, you are right Penny." Britanny relented. "So how exactly do we cuff this guy?" Britanny asked. "If he goes to the pound he may escape and who knows what will happen."

"So are we all clear now?" Tanya asked dropping her spell. "The villain seems contained and we can start the repairs to the civilian structures and get on with our mission of peace."

"Agreed, but still I want to know why. Why attack so desperately, why risk such a loss when you had just faced Gina recently?" I answered, still focused on the "bitchy Branigan" at hand.

"Such primitives. You think that I had not thought about the outcomes of this meeting? Or that I shall spill my reasons? I will gladly die rather that tell you." His massive bravado was showing as the police were arriving and Crush and Avenger were restraining Benji with cuffs meant for supervillains.

"Well in that case you literal son-of-a-bitch…Dinobot Beastmode." I reverted into the form of one rather larger raptor and licked my lips across my rows or serrated razor-sharp teeth. "You interrupted dinner and I am getting rather…peckish."

"What you can't. You won't eat an intelligent lifeform!" he whimpered.

"I killed and ate my own doppelganger clone that was sent to kill me." I replied. "You, you're more of a after dinner snack." I said as I wanted to rip apart this fool, or see if he would change his mind. In Dinobot's mind that was a win-win situation, which happened to be how my mind was thinking at the time. "Of course raptors disembowel our prey letting blood loss and shock weaking our kills before we deal the final blow."

"Would there be some sort of chance to survive this, unfortunate fate as it were." Peachbody tried to plead with "puppy dog eyes" at me and Britanny.

"For starters, why did you make this so easy?" I growled at him, while holding my claws just above his abdomen.

"What easy? Babe what are you talking about? I busted my hands upside Benji's hard skull and Crush 7nearly got killed." Britanny asked as she couldn't believe the words coming out of my mouth.

"Peachbody is renowned for his brilliant tactics and his ability to manipulate time itself. He just lost an encounter with Gina and then just rushes us with a surprise attack? No, that does not match the level of threat he poses to the free people of our timeline." I informed Britanny, Gina, Penny, and Crush who was heading over to see what the fuss was all about. "So I ask again, why was it so easy to defeat you?"

"Very well, as it seems my choices are to tell you honestly or be disemboweled, I have no choice." Peachbody continued. "You are correct in your assessment. Why risk a fight so soon after one when time is on my side? Sadly, such an assumption is not the case, for you see your very existence here has so fundamentally altered the time-line that my usual level of freedom was…compromised." Peachbody growled at this. "While I could avoid most detection from the mechanisms that ensure stability in the temporal sphere, I found that an anomaly had formed along this particular timeline, one which I could never have perceived and which also severed my ability to ensure the events leading to my world occurring happened."

"Sorry what are you blathering on about?" Britanny said, tapping her foot impatiently on the ground.

"As if your delusional brain and limited intelligence could hope to comprehend the physics of time manipulation." Peachbody barked at Britanny. "But for your incomprehensibly smaller intellect I will attempt to explain. He simply doesn't belong here and this timeline should never have been, and yet while I was in chronospace, events unfolded that linked timelines together that attracted the attention of those who have mastery enough of time-travel and chronospace itself that hampered not only my ability to move through the timeline, but also all attempt to effect time drew immediate attention from powers that could track my very movements and have so far damaged my craft long before your pitiful attempt earlier to do so."

"So you thought that perhaps killing me would allow you to go about your merry way in ruining the future of the human species?" I concluded in Dinobot's cold and aggressive voice.

"And the whole werecheetah/werewolf peace thing was what, a lie to have me fly over the world and set up my future brother-in-law to be murdered?" Gina said, very pissed off at this point. "Alex, would saying that ripping this mutt apart like a rag-doll be something this 'Dinobot' guy would be interested in doing?"

"Sis as much as I agree this dog is a threat, and a pain in the butt, I don't think sadism is going to help anyone." Britanny said, though squeezing Peachbody's neck a bit tighter. "Besides I want to know who in tarnation it is that he's going on about preventing him from going through time without hindrance."

"Plus we need him alive and talking when the police show up to carry him and his 'pet' off to a specialized cell." Crush pointed out.

"As if I would tell you any more than I have already. Death would be comfort to having to admit about her being a pain….took the name of that stupid traitor to canid kind too." Peachbody, if I may use the word, bitched.

"So what do we do with him now?" Avenger asked as she surveyed the wreckage in the baseball field. "Can't just let him go, and who is going to believe a story about a time-traveling supervillain dog?" The absolute insanity of the situation was bare to see.

"Oh I have a plan for him." Gina smiled, with one of the evilest smirks I have ever seen on her face to date. In a moment she had Peachbody in a muzzle, with a collar, and on a leash like any common dog.

"Okay effective and just humiliating enough without being cruel or unusual punishment." Penny smiled. "But what are we going to do about him long term? Can't just turn him over to the pound, can't keep him sealed up in either one of our labs as his genius would make either of those way too dangerous an option."

"And entrusting him in the care of either the werecheetahs or the werewolves won't work as he would be like Sauron in the Silmarilian." I pointed out, having used Dinobot enough for now.

"And what jail could hold him as he keeps his mouth shut and no one would know he's not a normal black lab?" Brianna asked. "And we can't let him run away can we?"

"In the comics he tricked Gina and Britanny into using their one time travel slots so as to plant a bomb in the past that would have rendered Theo sterile and was defeated only because you were your own person Brianna and thus able to travel back and defuse the bomb. Someone that evil can't be trusted to run free." I point out.

"So what happened to him in the comics?" Britanny asked scratching her head.

"If I remember right he eventually sacrificed Benji to save his own skin only to have his own soul consumed by the remaining parts of Dreadwing's soul who fed on him like a parasite until Peachbody didn't exist at all. Since there is nothing left of Dreadwing's soul after facing the blaze of Penance Stare from the Ghost Rider, I say that isn't going to likely happen." I answered.

"Who is Dreadwing now?" Avenger asked.

"He was the dragon who owned the cave we were exploring when we first encountered Alex." Gina explained. "Long story short the guy was taken apart and had his soul burned raw by some spirit of Vengeance being Alex can become called the Ghost Rider."

"But this leaves us with one almost dead minion, one evil canine, and no idea how to solve the situation we are currently in." Crush said as the paramedics arrived along with the police to the scene.

"We can't just cover his mouth in shaving cream and have him put down?" Penny asked offering any suggestion she could.

"I'm not for that G. That's just murder plain and simple and that is not going to sit well with my conscience." Ace said, being a rather true voice of reason in the present situation. "And we can't send him back into time because he'll just come back and threaten us again."

"Look why don't we just give our statements to the police while you geniuses figure something out."

"And what would prevent me from say, just messing all over this lovely aircraft of yours and being such a pest you have to let me go?" Peachbody asked. "Since you are treating me like any normal dog."

"Oh that's easy." I answer with a smile. "Do that, and I would just shoot you." That thankfully shut Peachbody up while everyone else just chuckled.

A few minutes and explanations later, Benji was being hauled off to some medical center for supervillains while Peachbody still was a problem. Sending him to the pound wasn't an option as it was closed and he wasn't really an animal, killing him was murder, he couldn't just be let go due to the fact he was both evil and hyperintelligent.

"I am sorry that I can't offer any options in El Dorado." Tanya said. "He seems far too dangerous to allow anywhere near our technology even if it is a cell."

"Okay so no prison on Earth can hold him, what about Jade?" Gina asked. "It has no technology, a talking dog really wouldn't be seen as too odd, and he isn't likely to escape back into the timestream if he kept in isolation."

"And why would Jade incarcerate him?" Penny asked, having some level of understanding of what Jade was even if she didn't travel to it that often. "The attack happened in our world."

"Yes, but he attacked the daughters of one of the Council of Mages and a Weaponsmaster." Gina pointed out. "So they probably would be willing to hold him."

"Not to get too technical, but how long could they hold him without a trial or would you need to be there to press charges?" Avenger asked as she pondered what to do as well.

"Jade doesn't have a Constitution Dannie." Gina answered. "The Edge Guard will gladly hold him as long as needed and if a trial does occur we can just gatescroll there for the proceedings. May not be perfect, but at least we know he'll be behind some sort of bars."

"Okay so what's the plan then?" Crush asked.

"Well I can light gate with Penny, Charlette, and the pooch here to Atlanta and meet you in Ireland if Ace is up to flying you there." Gina said. "If we have time-traveling talking dogs trying to stop this peace conference then I don't think there is a clearer sign of us needing to move on this fast."

"You want me to come along?" Charlette asked Penny, still very timid at this point.

"Sure, why not. Not like leaving you alone is a good idea." Penny admitted reluctantly.

"Does that make us friends?" Charlotte asked. It then hit me, this harpy girl had just been hiding out on the Blackbird afraid of everyone and having not a soul to talk with after she was forced to fight Gina and Penny. I popped open the food storage Britanny had crammed with the food Mrs. Duncan had given us earlier and grabbed a few things.

"Here." I said handing what I could find. "You look like you could use this."

"You're just giving me food?" Charlette asked, her stomach grumbling.

"Sure we had dinner earlier and there is plenty to go around." Britanny smiled as she grabbed a bag of peanuts and added it to the offering. "Sounds like you could use a snack."

She then jumped up and hugged us both, crying heavy tears while doing so.

"So ready for your first international case Dannie?" Crush asked.

"No, but considering the events of tonight I am definitely seeing this to the end."

To be continued.
