Just a short, sweet chapter as I haven't worked on this one in a little while, I forgot how much I enjoy it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the update

Chapter 2

Bakugou spent most of the next day reading through all the pamphlets that Recovery Girl had given him. It was a lot to take in. He made note of an omega social group that met once a week before sitting down and starting on a list of things that he would need to order. Liners, more absorbent underwear, things for his nest, heat toys, as well as softer more comfortable clothes for when his skin is feeling particularly sensitive. Which is apparently a common problem for omegas. He then went through all the brochures circling and making note of exactly what he thought he would need. He luckily thought to order new skin products, body wash & moisturisers that were made specifically for omegas sensitive skin. He was particularly enamoured with a deep emerald, green blanket that looked so thick and soft that he couldn't wait to wrap himself in it. When he was finished, he let out a relieved sigh, no doubt there would be more things he would think of as time went on but for now, he felt better at least being organised.

Aina had already applied for the scholarship for him that would assist in the cost of these kinda things, he just had to wait a few more days for it all to be processed then he would have the money to order. Perhaps he could even organise a trip to the mall and buy some things personally. No doubt Mina would love any excuse to go shopping. Maybe that could wait until after his first heat or two when he had a better understanding of what he might need that he didn't already have. It was hard shopping when you weren't really sure what you needed.

After more time had passed and he'd read over his lists three times, Bakugou admitted to himself that he was procrastinating leaving his room. He shook his head angrily, he had only stopped taking the suppressants yesterday, there was no way that anyone would be able to notice anything different about him. He still had plenty of time to get his head around everything before he had to deal with anyone else.

Steeling his nerves, he marched out of his rooms, probably more aggressively then was called for, but he could admit that he was feeling defensive. He made his way to the kitchen to make a late lunch, not surprised to find the communal area full of classmates.

"Hey, Bakugou" Mina called happily. "Come and join us."

Bakugou veered away from the kitchen, walking towards his friends, he did the breathing exercises Aina taught him and reminded himself that he didn't have to be the over-the-top aggressive arsehole he was known for, he could be himself. Which admittedly was still a pretty big arsehole, just maybe not so loud.

He plopped down on a seat beside Sero and glanced around at what they were up to.

"Where you been all morning, Blasty?" Denki asked. "Been breaking in that box of condoms we saw you with yesterday?" the blonde teased.

Bakugou's eyes popped open in surprise, his ears turning red, while across the table Kirishima groaned.

"What the fuck, Denki!" Bakugou shouted, shoving the other teen hard in the face. So much for keeping his temper.

But the other blonde just cackled uproariously, not fazed in the least by Bakugou's anger. Mina the gossip that she was, immediately perked up at this new piece of news.

"Ooh what's this Bakubabe?" the beta asked, eyes gleaming with interest.

"Fucking nothing" Bakugou growled only to be interrupted by a laughing Denki.

"We caught Bakugou sneaking back to his room with a box of condoms, yesterday. Alpha size."

Bakugou thought he was going to die from embarrassment then and there.

"Oh, really" Mina said delightedly. "Who have you got your eye on, then?"

"No one!" He snapped, hands starting to pop in his anger and embarrassment.

Mina opened her mouth to say something else, but Kirishima butted in.

"That's enough" Kirishima said, putting an end to the teasing and inquisition. Bakugou had never been more grateful for his best friend.

"If there's an alpha that Bakugou likes, he knows that he can talk to us any time" the redhead said pointedly and Bakugou bit back a groan, not a guilt trip, he took back everything nice he'd ever said about Kirishima.

"I'm going to get some lunch" Bakugou said instead of responding, standing up and stomping into the kitchen, ignoring the teasing laughter that dogged his steps.

Izuku, Todoroki and Shinsou were already in the kitchen preparing food, but Bakugou had had enough social interactions for one day, so after a brief nod to the three he set about making his own lunch. A simple fried rice, with enough left over for his dinner. The repetitive motions soothed him, he had always enjoyed it in the kitchen, though his parents had discouraged it, seeing it as a weak omega activity. Which was just bullshit, his mum cooked dinner every night and she was an alpha. But he supposed the difference was that he enjoyed it. He could feel the eyes watching him, but he just ignored it, who cares what they thought. Eventually he was finished and plated up two bowls, one for now and one he covered and put in the fridge for later.

"That smells so good, Bakugou" Todoroki said, and the blonde turned around to scowl at the dual haired teen, scanning his face for any sign that he was being mocked. Todoroki looked nothing but sincere.

"It is" he mumbled, taking a big bite and leaving to sit at the table, ignoring Izuku's snort or amusement.

He sat at the table finishing his food and completely ignoring the calls from his so-called friends who were becoming increasing loud on the other side of the room. He stuck his finger up at them, but otherwise chose not to engage them in any way, serves them right.

He washed his things before heading out, not sparing a look back at his friends.

The omega social and support group was meeting in one of the rooms off the library soon and Bakugou and decided to go and check it out. He was feeling too anxious to sit in his room and attempt to study and he had no wish to be around his friends at the moment, so he figured he might as well go along and meet the other omegas on campus.

He rubbed his hands nervously, glancing around to make sure no one was watching him before he pushed the door open and entered.

He found a group of 5 females, including Komori from the other hero class, sitting around on comfortable looking chairs. They stopped whatever they'd been discussing and looked up in surprise at Bakugou.

"Ah this social group is only for omegas" a short dark-haired girl said with a frown.

"Tch" Bakugou rolled his eyes, though his heart was pounding nervously. "I know that. I- I'm an omega."

They all looked confused at that.

"I've never heard anything about their being any other omegas at this school."

"I thought you were a beta?"

Bakugou scrubbed his hand through his hair. "I was on suppressants until recently. Never told anyone."

Looks of understanding started to filter around the room.

"It can be difficult becoming a hero if you're an omega" Komori said insightfully.

Bakugou just nodded, not wanting to get into his parents and their treatment of him.

"Well come in and take a seat!" A perky brunette chirped and Bakugou wondered briefly if it was too late to just run for it. Unfortunately, the brunette must've picked up on his thoughts, because she gently pushed him into a seat, shutting the door behind him. The room as a typical study room, maybe on the large side. There was a large table in the middle of the room with chairs around it, a TV sat on the wall and a comfortable looking couch sat in the corner.

They all went around and introduced themselves, but Bakugou knew he wouldn't remember any of them, not for a while anyway, he was terrible with names.

"Sera isn't here as she is currently in heat" they explained, they then looked at him expectantly until he cleared his throat awkwardly and introduced himself.

"I'm Bakugou Katsuki" he began. "My parents put me on suppressants when I presented. It - hasn't been easy" he swallowed thickly, thankful for all his counselling sessions with Aina that he could now at least try to vocalise how he was feeling. "So, I decided to come off them" he finished lamely.

"So, you've never been off suppressants before?" the brunette asked, he thinks her names was Kyah.

Bakugou shook his head, and her eyebrows rose in surprise. She shared a look with the blonde bedside her. It was unusual for teens to even be on suppressants, not when they were still developing physically, emotionally and hormonally. Suppressants were usually only for people who had jobs that required them or for people wanting to hide their sub gender for a personal reason.

"Well, you've come to the right place" Komori said, breaking the strained silence. "There aren't many omegas around, so we try to stick together, support each other. We're a very close-knit community and we will always have your back."

Bakugou nodded, feeling a little warmth grow inside, he could understand that.

"You will find most people are very supportive, but you may still come across a few knot head alphas. If anything happens make sure you report it immediately. We can't let that kind of behaviour go unpunished or it may get worse. The school is really good at keeping on top of any complaints they receive."

Bakugou nodded again, silently thinking he'd like to see some idiot alpha try to pull anything on him.

We usually just spend this time chatting, talking about anything that may be bothering us from our week or anything that may have happened. We also plan a few fund-raising events a year. We use the money to buy heat supplies for omegas in the school as well as donate some to omega support centres in the city. If you need anything, please let us know."

"OK…that sounds good." He said honestly, liking the idea of supporting other omegas in and outside the school. "I'm happy to help."

This earned him smiles all round and he began to relax. He realised that no one in this room would judge him for being an omega, the thought was rather freeing after fearing anyone finding out the truth for so long.

"I haven't told any of my friends or classmates yet. I was thinking of just letting them work it out off my scent once the suppressants start wearing off."

Komori looked thoughtful, as did most of the others in the room.

"You could of course do that, though you made find it easier to get in front of the story, if you will. It may go smoother with a lot less fuss and questions if you just tell them outright, before they start to figure it out for themselves."

Bakugou could see the wisdom in that, but the very thought of it had a ball of anxiety forming in his chest.

"Is that what you did?" he asked quietly.

"It is. But I was in a completely different situation to you. I was never on suppressants so when we met my classmates could already smell that I was an omega. I merely confirmed it for them and answered any questions they may have had."

"Questions" Bakugou meeped and Komori grinned.

"Omegas are pretty rare; a lot of people have never met one personally. Sometimes they have questions."

Bakugou flushed at the very thought of having to answer any questions about omegas, he barely knew anything himself!

"Of course, that was just me. You don't have to do anything of the sort."

A few of the others in the room shared their own experiences and Bakugou listened carefully.

"Whatever you decide to do we won't say anything to anyone until you tell us its ok, what we talk about here stays between us. If you've only just come off suppressants, you still have a bit of time."

After that, talk turned to lighter things and Bakugou got the impression that they were trying not to overwhelm him, for which he was very grateful.
