It has been a while since I have written anything and out of all things I decided that I wanted to sell out harder by doing something completely unoriginal. But hey what has been done has been done. so here is the first chapter in what I hope is a series. Like many other fics this one has a bunch of characters reacting to stuff while stuck in a movie theatre only this time they are watching the future instead of other realities. Not that this makes it more original.
I hope you enjoy and I welcome any form of critizism.
Izuku Midoriya had seen and experienced a lot of odd things since the day he decided full heartedly to pursue his dream of being a hero. Since he became All Might's apprentice he has had to fight criminal syndicates, psychotic vigilantes, murderous musclemen, and even the Yakuza of all things. It wasn't even the end of his first year at UA academy and he had already gone through a lot. At this point in his life he at least expected to be somewhat prepared for whatever life threw at him.
He wasn't.
"Where in the living FUCK are we!?" One Bakugo Katsuki decided to ask what was on everybody's mind. In his own loud and vulgar way. He wasn't the only one though. Izuku could see what appeared to be the entirety of his class, his teachers, and even Eri herself were also looking around lost at where they were. Which seemed to be a rather sizable movie theatre.
"Deku-kun? W-What are you doing here? What is everyone doing here?" Uraraka asked as she looked around herself.
"I don't know, one m-moment I was in my room and the next-"Izuku answered and then was interrupted by what sounded by an explosion. It seemed that a couple of his classmates, including Bakugo, had found an exit. Although the exit seemed to be closed off and any attempt to open it was unsuccessful. But Katsuki Bakugo wasn't one to give up easily and had resorted to do what he does best. Explode shit.
"Open you piece of SHI- ugh!" Before he could continue to open the seemingly indestructible exit door open he was stopped by their homeroom teacher Eraserhead.
"Would you please stop that?" Aizawa commanded. Eri currently hiding behind his legs as the explosions went off, "Using your quirk recklessly in an unfamiliar environment is incredibly foolish. So stop it".
"Fucking shit" Bakugo exclaimed as his quirk fizzled out.
Izuku's brain at this point was going a mile a minute as he tried to decipher where they were and how they got there in the first place. He went through his memories as he tried to remember all the events that could have gotten them in this situation. He started to mutter to himself to the point that a couple of his classmates started to focus on his mad ramblings. His muttering getting worse and worse by the second until somebody decided enough was enough.
"Midoriya-chan, you're muttering again. It's creeping everybody out gero." Stated Tsuyu as she finally got the green haired boy to pay attention to his surroundings. Now that he wasn't muttering up a storm he realized how much attention he had gotten. In response he could only blush and stutter as everyone around him looked at him bemused
'Classic Midoriya' they thought to themselves.
"Jeez Midoriya, and here I thought you were getting better" Mineta couldn't help but say. He was beside the froggy girl as he was having an episode, "No but seriously, where are we?"
"Now everybody calm down. Panicking isn't going to solve anything." Said Nezu, the principal of UA highschool. Someone who, despite his cute and harmless looks, was a capable hero and even terrifying.
"That's right. Panicking isn't logical at all. First we need to identify the reason we can't exit this theatre. The fact that we can't even break through the walls or the 'exit' door means this might be the work of a quirk" Aizawa added.
"If you have questions then I think I can answer a few." Suddenly out of nowhere a mysterious figure appeared in the giant screen in the theatre. Not much could be garnered from it as it was covered head to toe in a black robe. The only thing they could figure out was that it was probably male.
"Okay who the fuck are you and where the fuck are we?! You better start talking shithead!" Bakugo exclaimed.
"Are you with the League of Villains?" Momo asked trying to keep a composed look on her face.
"Okay so first of all, I'm not a villain. If anything I'm helping you." The robed figure said.
"H-Helping us? What do you mean by that? How is kidnapping us in any way not a villainous offense?" The bespectacled class president asked as he was trying to make sense of the situation.
"Well you see," the robed figure started as he was looking for the proper words. "You may not believe it but I'm actually trying to fix up your timeline. For whatever reason a lot of people are using their powers to mess around. Grabbing people from their respective timeline and setting them up in an extradimensional space similar to this one. Like they think that is not an irresponsible use of their powers."
The robed figure seemed to be shaking his head, exasperated. Meanwhile everyone in the theatre was lost for words as they tried to make sense of what was being said by the mysterious figure. The robed man seemed to ignore their confusion and continued.
"So I said to myself, I can't just let this be you know. So I decided fix up some of the tears in the space time continuum. Because it's the right thing to do. For some reason it seems to target you guys a lot so that's why I decided I will let you chill here until I finished resetting your timeline."
At this point the entirety of audience present in the seemingly inter-dimensional movie theatre were lost for words. Any form of intelligent response was thrown to the wayside. They could only sit in confused silence as the robed man ignored them and continued to speak as if everything he was saying was completely logical.
'What the hell is this guy on about?' was pretty much the thought that was going through everyone's heads at the moment.
Before anybody could get their thoughts together and come with a response the robed man spoke again. "Damn, I haven't introduced myself yet huh? You guys can call me T if you like. Right now I'm going to leave for a while so why don't you sit down and enjoy watching the future. Don't worry, food and refreshments will be served, I hope you enjoy your stay."
With that the screen turned off. Everyone in the theatre still in a state of confusion.
"Okay so I'm not the only one who is completely lost right? Kaminari said after a moment of silence
"For once no, Sparky." Jirou responded
"Can you stop calling me that?
"No"
"What did he mean when he said "enjoy watching the future" "? The lion tailed Ojiro spoke up. Ignoring the banter from his two classmates.
Just when Izuku felt like entering another bout of mumbling something stopped him in his tracks. "W-Whoa! What is t-that?" Suddenly out of thin air a small blue sphere, no bigger than an orange, appeared before him.
Without thinking, Izuku couldn't help but take hold of the strange object. "Young Midoriya, I wouldn't touch that! You don't what that could do!" All Might admonished him. But it was too late. The moment that he grabbed the strange sphere a strange light emanated from it and then just as fast it turned off. Then the Screen were T was first shown turned back again. But this time instead of showing the robed figure it showed someone else. Someone that looked strangely familiar. Someone that looked like-
"MIDORIYA?!" A couple of his classmates exclaimed as what looked like an older version of the green haired boy. The man had the same hair and even the same scarred arms, but he was also taller, more muscular and mature looking. Some might even say handsome.
"W-wow." Uraraka along with some of the girls (and even Midnight) were blushing a bit at the look of an older Midoriya.
"Whoa Midoriya, your future self is actually pretty handsome gero." Tsuyu said with a deadpan face, although on closer inspection you could see a hint of a blush.
Said boy in question's response was predictable
"A-A-Asui-san! W-what? I mean me-I…Um!" The One for All user erupted into a deep blush and stuttering.
"Damn Tsuyu, you just said that didn't you?" Mina was impressed at the amount of fucks not given by the frog girl (not that she wasn't thinking the same thing).
"More like he looks like a total fucking loser!" Bakugo interjected. "So nothing has really changed."
"Bakugo-kun! Could you lay off Deku for at least 5 minutes? " Uraraka scolded the boy in question with a deadpan look in her face. Although she knew that was impossible.
"I don't know about anyone else but I definitely appreciate him." The R rated hero Midnight added her own 2 cents to the matter. Her colleagues looked at her unimpressed but unsurprised
"Yeah, let's just move on from…..that." Frankly Present Mic just wanted to focus on what was going on the screen. He already had more than a decade of his friend's antics.
On the screen, an older and more mature version of Izuku Midoriya was shown. The once timid boy was now around 6ft tall with a fairly muscled, but not overly bulky, physique. Future Midoriya was standing in the middle of what appeared to be a gym. Although this one seemed to be a home gym. Also he wasn't alone.
Standing in front of him was a young teenage boy of average stature, short black hair and lean athletic physique. The currently unidentified boy had sweat running down his brow as he stood in a combat ready pose.
"Dad, thank you again for agreeing to this. I know you are busy being a hero and all so…" The young boy, now identified to be Midoriya's son, trailed off as he thanked him.
"WAIT WHAT!" Again, a good chunk of the audience couldn't help but exclaim in disbelief. The thought that what they were watching was indeed the future becoming more and more believable.
"A-A-Are you t-telling me that guy is m sssooo…." Midoriya's brain seemed to shut down temporarily. His mind going into overdrive as he tried to make sense of the revelation. A stream of incoherent mumbling started to escape his mouth.
*Smack*
Until Bakugo decided to take matters into his own hands.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank you Bakugo-chan" The frog girl thanked the spiky haired blond.
"If you let that asshole start he will never fucking stop. Trust me." He seemed to speak from experience.
"Don't worry Itsuki, it's no problem at all." Future Midoriya answered with a smile. His son was always one to not like causing bother to others. Maybe he inherited his timidness. "I'm always up to helping you train you know. Considering you want to go to UA like I did you will have to work really hard. It's not a school you can enter by not giving it your all."
"W-well yeah I know that, but seriously thank you dad. Truly." Itsuki Midoriya answered him, still in a fighting stance. "f-for the spar I mean."
The boy, despite looking calm on the outside, the perspiration in his brow showed how truly nervous he was. Not surprisingly since he was planning to spar against Japan's number 1 hero.
"FUUUUCK!" Three guesses on who that was.
"Way to go Midoriya-kun! I for one always believed you had what it takes to become a top ranking Pro Hero, but to see you actually take the spot of number 1 is amazing!" Iida, in his obvious enthusiasm, stood up from his sit as he exclaimed that.
"Fucking goddam BULLSHIT!" Again, guess who it was.
"Congrats Izuku!"
"Congratulations gero"
"I'm so proud right now young Midoriya!"
At this point Midoriya was almost on the verge of tears. He actually did it. He became number 1, just like All Might. He actually accomplished his dream
'I-I I actually did it!' He thought to himself.
"Alright, everybody calm down." Aizawa might have had a deadpan expression on the outside, but on the inside he was actually somewhat proud. Just a little bit.
"RRAAAAAAA- UGH!" The King of Explodo Kills' surge of rage was finally ended by the hand of his own homeroom teacher and his physics defying scarf.
The younger Midoriya decided to make the first move by rushing his father. With rather impressive speed the boy reached the older man and started to unleash a series of punches and kicks. It was apparent that the Itsuki was not a stranger to a fight as his martial arts techniques showed. Meanwhile the current number 1 hero stood his ground and calmly blocked, deflected and dodged his son's onslaught of strikes. Despite how skilled he was for his age, it was obvious which one had the most combat experience.
The exchange lasted for a couple of moments until Izuku intercepted one of his son's kicks and tossed him over his shoulder and several feet away.
"W-whoa!" Itsuki cried out as he soared. Trying to right himself and avoid falling flat in his face Itsuki's hands combusted on fire. The propulsion helping him right himself and land of his feet.
"Wait dammit, I wasn't supposed to use my quirk!"
"Holy crap! Did you guys see that? Midoriya is completely owning his son." Kaminari exclaimed
"Did you see his quirk though? It looks like he has a fire quirk." Sato spoke up
"I wonder who his mom is to have gotten fire, I was expecting super strength or something. Unless Midoriya awakens a fire quirk in the future just like he did with his weird black web thing. Seriously, how the hell did that happen?" Mineta said. Ever since the joint training they did with class 1-B he was confused on how the greenette had acquired his new power. Like he wasn't overpowered enough.
"I'm actually more focused on his fighting style. He isn't just punching and kicking randomly. He has good technique." Ojiro, the resident martial arts guy, spoke up. He had been silent for a while.
"But why does he have a fire quirk though?" Toru asked
Meanwhile Midoriya (present) was looking at the fight with a focused and calculating look. "Well, my dad has a fire breathing quirk so maybe that's were, Um, M-my son got it from?" The idea of him having a son was still a little jarring but that feeling got overtaken by his need to analyze quirks.
His classmates looked at him for a second.
"….That makes sense."
"Don't worry Itsuki. You also have to learn how to use your quirk in a combat scenario so it's alright." Midoriya (future) told his son calmly. "But since you used your quirk I guess it's only fair I use mine.
Just as he said that Itsuki saw the telltale lightning emanating from his father when he activated his quirk. At this point Itsuki broke into a cold sweat.
"Don't worry, I will use only a small percentage. But, I'm warning you, keep your guard up." As soon as the Izuku said that he charged at his son.
For his credit, Itsuki did keep his guard up. The moment his father rushed at him he used his quirk to propel himself and avoid the attack. For a while he continued to dodge his father's attacks, an impressive feat even if his father was holding back. But eventually the young boy couldn't keep up and was subsequently knocked to the ground.
"You really have gotten better Itsuki." The older Midoriya said as he overlooked his son laying on the ground. The boy could only groan in response
"Well he got wrecked." Jiro said in a deadpan voice.
"Well I guess that's what he gets for going against the number 1 hero" Sero couldn't help but wince a little as Future Midoriya kicked his son's ass.
"Wow Deku-kun you're really strong. And Itsuki is also pretty tough too." Uraraka was beaming with pride as she saw just what her friend was capable of. That expression changed as she glanced at him and saw him furiously write on his hero journal. "You never miss a chance do you Deku-kun hehe."
"Fuck" Bakugo seethed to himself. As much as he hated it he couldn't help but acknowledge just how much progress the nerd had made. 'If the nerd is this strong then my future self must be a beast. He better damn be or I'm going to kick my own ass.'
"Wow dad, you really kicked my ass." Itsuki at this point was staring at the ceiling with straight face. He had tried his best to keep up with his father, but just as he thought he was no match for him. "….. Hey, dad. Do you really think I can make it into UA. I mean the entrance rate for the hero course is miniscule. Only the strongest and most capable can make it there."
"Of course I do." The answer came out without an ounce of hesitation. "Look son, I'm not going to tell you getting into UA is easy, because it isn't. But if there is one thing I'm sure of.
The older Midoriya made his way towards his son who was still laying down on the floor. "You can become a hero, Itsuki." With those words the young boy could only look up towards his dad. His expression didn't show much but he could tell the words encouraged him.
"Thanks dad."
"No problem son. By the way, do you need help getting up? I hope I didn't hit you too hard." He asked his son with a worried expression.
"Nah I'm okay. I just feel like laying on the floor for a bit." This was the answer he got from the boy. Izuku just laughed it scratched his head.
"Well if you say so." His son could be odd sometimes, but he was truly proud of him. He was sure that one day he would be one of the pillars of heroism. He would bet on it.
(End)
The screen turned black. Everyone in the theatre was silent as they realized the implications of what they just saw. People started talking to each other about what they just saw. A certain excitement filled the air. This kind of things only happened in fiction but it was actually happening to them.
Midoriya couldn't help but dwell too. Especially on what his future self said to his, um, son. The phrase might have been a standard response of encouragement to anyone else but to him it reminded him of something important. The phrase that All Might said to him that fateful day. The day he decided he wanted to become the next symbol of peace.
"You can become a hero, Midoriya"
He looked towards were His mentor was. The man did the same and looked at him. A look of pride was plain as day on the former number 1 hero's face. He himself couldn't help but smile.
"So are we not gonna talk about the fact that Midoriya is a total DILF."
"MINA!"
Midoriya's smile quickly changed towards an expression of pure embarrassment as he tried to turn himself into a tomato. He was succeeding.
Out of nowhere the small sphere he forgot he still had in his hand came back to life. Startled, he let go of it as it floated into the air in front of everyone. The entirety of the theatre looked at the object apprehensively. The object stayed in the air for a while until it started descending towards the audience. With baited breath they saw as the sphere made its way to…..
"Huh?"
