Chapter 1: A New Beginning on Both Sides
The way towards the bus stop
Early in the morning in the Human World, it was a peaceful time where everyone lived their lives, went to school, or worked their jobs. On the path towards a special bus stop, a young man with brown hair, a green vest, and brown pants was on his way to wait for the bus to go to school. On his way, a certain chain with a lock on his arm was swinging around.
"My name is Tsukune Aono, starting this fall, I will be a second-year student at Yokai Academy, a school exclusively for monsters. I know how it sounds, pretty crazy, but I don't mind it anymore. Alright, let me explain if it is still not very clear. Last year, I got accepted into Yokai Academy because of a mix-up, and I needed some time to get used to everything that happened. Eventually, I have grown to like Yokai Academy. I made some amazing friends, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, Ruby, Gohan, and Moka. We went through so much together, that we became the best of friends. However, staying at school would be too much of a risk, as I even almost died when they found out that I was human. But then, Moka injected some of her Vampire blood inside of me, and I survived. I can tell you all so much about my friends, but I'll keep it short. I do wonder what will happen this year, because last year, was a year I will always remember. But unfortunately, one of my best friends, Gohan, won't come back to school anymore," Tsukune narrated.
Tsukune was still waiting on the bus at the stop until his ride to Yokai Academy arrived
"As I was saying, Gohan won't come back to Yokai Academy anymore. He got accepted into a different school and thus he transferred. I will surely miss him, he was one of the first people I came to know and trust, but we have to move on. The only thing I am afraid of is Moka's response to Gohan not returning. Gohan was her best friend, and probably the only one who managed to befriend her. Moka is mostly a loner and does not get along with the others. She was never the type of person to care that much. But meeting Gohan sparked interest in her. I had to go through hardships to realize that. When she finds out he won't come back anymore… I don't want to imagine how she would feel," Tsukune narrated in a saddened tone.
Then, the bus appeared from afar, driving towards the stop to pick up Tsukune. The driver opened the door while smoking a cigarette.
"Nice to see you again kid, ready for another year at Yokai Academy?" the bus driver asked.
"I guess so, I wonder how this year will play out. Last year was so chaotic," Tsukune answered when he sat down on the bus.
The driver closed the door and drove away. "Yeah, I have heard about your little heroic gang, you did a pretty good job out there, in both the Human World and the Monster World," the driver told him.
"Thank you, but the real heroes are Gohan and Moka. If they didn't beat Cell and Kuyo, I don't know what would have happened," Tsukune replied.
"Hopefully, you will stay on guard this year. You also went through a drastic change in yourself. For example, that chain on your arm, interesting," the driver said when he pointed at Tsukune's lock.
"Yeah, there is so much to figure out about all of this. There is no way for me to return to normal, but I kind of got used to it thanks to my friends," Tsukune explained when he looked at his arm.
"Stay strong kid, you'll make it out," the driver said confidently.
Tsukune only nods and looked out of the window. Entering the tunnel, Tsukune's travel towards Yokai Academy had begun. After driving for several minutes, light shined at the end of the tunnel and Tsukune entered the Monster World once again, watching the scenery. In the far distance, he saw the school in the distance.
"I'm back, at Yokai Academy," Tsukune said when he looked at his surroundings. Seeing the forest, the bus stop, and the tunnel.
As he went on his way, the bus stopped and Tsukune exited the vehicle.
"Take care kid," the bus driver said when he drove off.
Tsukune waved him goodbye and followed him to the path towards school to start a new year at Yokai Academy. "I wonder if I will come across Akasha and Moka, like the last time," Tsukune said when he looked around the forest.
Suddenly, he heard a small noise coming from behind. The sound became louder and louder, as the young man tried to find out where it came from
"What is that? It sounds like a bike, could it be Akasha? Or Moka?" Tsukune said when he looked behind him.
From a far distance, someone on a bike raced on the path towards Yokai Academy. It was a short girl with red hair and two ponytails. She was wearing a short yellow/green skirt and a red and black dotted shirt with a white collar on the top.
The girl on the bike saw Tsukune and stopped right in front of him.
"Hey, you!" the girl shouted as Tsukune looked ignorantly at himself first, then at the girl.
"Who me?" Tsukune asked.
"Yes you, do you see anyone else around? You are such a goofball?" the girl asked.
"Well, I…" Tsukune mumbled.
"Whatever, now that I finally see someone. Do you know this guy? I am looking for him," the girl asked.
Then, the girl grabbed a photograph, and it showed an interesting person on it. Shockingly, he noticed that the girl has a picture of Gohan.
"Uhm… I uuhh… Well, actually to be fair I…" Tsukune mumbled again.
The girl then puts the picture away and sighs out of irritation. "You are useless, why do I even bother. I am out of here," the girl said when she grabbed her bike and cycled away.
Tsukune scratches his head as he tried to figure out what was going on. "That was weird, she was looking for Gohan. I wonder who she is and what she wants from him," Tsukune said when she slowly got up off the ground and dusts the dirt off his clothes.
"Oh well, I guess I should head to school now before I get late," Tsukune said when he walked toward Yokai academy once again.
Yokai Academy Schoolyard
After minutes of walking, Tsukune finally saw the gate in hindsight, he approached the gate and saw many new freshman students and second-year students attending the yard. Tsukune looked around to see if he could find any familiar faces.
"Hmm… I wonder if the others are here?" Tsukune asked as he looked around the school.
Meanwhile, in the distance close to the building, two girls noticed their friend standing at the gate.
"Tsukune! Over here!" the voices spoke out towards him.
Tsukune looked at the place where the voices spoke and noticed who the ones were.
"Kurumu, Yukari! It's you!" Tsukune shouted in joy when he saw the girls.
Immediately, they mounted the boy and embraced him greatly.
"Tsukune I am so happy to see you, I hope you weren't miserable without me comforting you!" Kurumu asked him seductively.
Then afterward, a golden washtub fell right on top of Kurumu's head, knocking her out.
"Stop it Kurumu, Tsukune missed me the most," Yukari said when she hugged Tsukune.
"Heheeh, you guys, take it easy, it's the beginning of the school…" Tsukune tried to say when he suddenly felt a cold breeze right behind him.
When he shuddered, he only focused his pupils behind him and noticed that someone was hiding behind a tree, sending off a very cold vibe.
"Hehe, hello Mizore," Tsukune said.
Mizore appeared from behind the bush. "Just so you guys know, Tsukune is all mine," Mizore told them.
Immediately, Kurumu and Yukari approached the snowwoman, bickering while Tsukune tried to calm them down.
Meanwhile, on the way to Yokai Academy, Moka and Akasha were walking together towards school and entered the schoolyard.
"So, how do you think this school year will go?" Akasha asked.
"I honestly don't know, a lot happened last year, I am not worried about school. I am much more invested in what we will go through. I am in the mood for a good fight," Moka explained.
"I guess you are right, besides, I hope I can spend some more time with Tsukune as well," Akasha said.
"You have to compete with those other girls first," Moka told her.
"You are only saying that because you don't have to compete for Gohan. That reminds me, what about you two? You didn't talk that much after you spend a day with him last summer," Akasha asked.
"Nothing special is going on Akasha, though I am excited to test my strength against him again to see how much I improved. I trained much harder than before, and I think I got stronger thanks to him," Moka said confidently in herself.
"That is great Moka, but don't you want to do other things with Gohan? Like, go to the movies?" Akasha asked.
"Last year we already did, we rented a lot of movies after we did the project," Moka answered.
"Oooh… Okay well, then how about going to the park?" Akasha asked.
"Gohan and I always went to the Yokai grass field to relax after school, it was his favorite spot to go to. Even after that whole fight with Cell, Gohan even left his room earlier to go and take some rest in the field," Moka explained.
"A nice dinner then?!" Akasha shouted at her.
"Akasha, we are too young for dinner, besides, we already had lunch together when those friends of yours tried to get rid of me for you," Moka replied with her arms crossed.
"You might call it differently, but you see Gohan as your partner, don't you? Can you finally say it?" Akasha asked.
"I already did, and I am not denying it," Moka said.
Finally, the two girls arrived at Yokai Academy, they saw all the new students, and the second-year students all gathered at the schoolyard, just taking it easy before the bell starts for the introduction of the first day of school.
"Wow, so many other people we haven't seen before, I think they are all first-year students," Akasha said.
"Of course, we are in the second year after all," Moka said in response.
"Hey, do you see the others? I can't find them," Akasha asked.
"Yes, unfortunately, I found them," Moka said when she pointed towards the group who were fighting over Tsukune. "Looks like I have to set them straight for now," Moka said as she kept walking.
"Will you all just knock it off already, it's the beginning of the school year, act as a second-year student!" Moka shouted towards them.
Tsukune, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore all looked to the point where the voice came from. Walking towards them together were Moka and Akasha.
"Ah! Tsukune!" Akasha shouted when she ran up to the boy.
Tsukune saw the girl and approached her as well. "Akasha!" he shouted.
While standing across each other, the two stared into each other's eyes.
"Tsukune…" Akasha sounded.
"Akasha…" Tsukune sounded.
But then, someone immediately interrupted them. Moka got in between the two.
"Alright, that's enough, it's time for you to stop that Akasha, suck Tsukune's blood later," Moka told her.
"Alright, sorry," Akasha said saddened.
"So how was your vacation Moka? You're the only one I haven't spoken to this summer," Tsukune told.
"It was alright, nothing really special happened, father wanted me to spend some time with Gohan. He only did it because Gohan is strong, and hopes that I get stronger as well," Moka explained.
"Isn't that kind of single-minded? Wouldn't he like it more for you to be together with Gohan?" Tsukune asked.
"I rather not argue with him, he can be pretty tough," Moka said as she looked around the group, and finally noticed the missing piece of the puzzle.
"Tsukune… Where is Gohan? Shouldn't he be here by now? Or is he running late again?" Moka asked suspiciously.
Suddenly, Tsukune started to get nervous, he didn't know what to do, and answering was already difficult.
"Oh, Gohan, right… Uhm, well I think… he is still running late? Yeah, that's it!" Tsukune sounded nervous.
Moka narrowed her eyes slightly and tilted her head. "Running late? That sounds like him… Are you sure? He didn't try to contact any of you or anyone else?" Moka asked.
"No, I haven't heard anything from him yet, did you hear anything Kurumu?" Akasha asked.
"Me neither," Kurumu answered.
"Nothing from me," Yukari replied.
"Nothing," Mizore said.
The group got quiet for a moment when finally, the school bell rang and the students at the schoolyard entered the school and went to their respective classes. The group was still outside.
"Looks like we have to go to our first class, let's go everyone, we don't want to be late," Akasha said as she and the rest of the group went on walking.
However, Moka was missing from the group, she was standing still and kept looking at the Yokai Gate, to try and see if she can spot Gohan. Akasha saw her standing. "Go ahead you guys, I'll be right there," she told the group who went on to their class.
Akasha stood behind Moka who didn't pay her any eye contact.
"Moka, he'll be here soon, maybe he had some trouble with the bus, he overslept a lot of times last year, so give him some time," Akasha told her.
"I should do that, but when he gets here, he's going to be in a lot of trouble with me," Moka said when she turned around and followed Akasha towards Yokai Academy.
Still, someone did approach the Yokai Academy Gates, it was an unknown student with black hair with 2 bangs slightly on his face and a scruffy style, finally wearing the Yokai Academy school uniform.
"Looks like I am finally here," the boy said as he kept walking.
Ms. Nekomone's classroom.
Tsukune, Akasha, Moka, Kurumu, Mizore, and even Yukari were in the same class, which was a big surprise for Yukari since last year where she was in a different class from the others. Finally, the teacher, Ms. Nekonome walked into the room and immediately went to her desk while holding several items and a tv set to watch with the class.
"Good morning class, I am Ms. Nekonome, and I will be your homeroom teacher this year. Some of you might already know me, and some of you might not. That is no problem, I am very excited to get to know all of you. If you have any trouble you want to get sorted out, don't be afraid to ask me," Ms. Nekonome told the class.
"Cool, Ms. Nekonome is our teacher again, how much luck can you have?" Tsukune asked.
"A whole lot Tsukune," Kurumu replied.
Moka looked around the room at her classmates, she then saw an empty desk as she pictured Gohan sitting. But then, she started to think to herself again. "Where is Gohan? He hasn't even tried to contact me," Moka asked herself.
Ms. Nekonome told her stories on the rules of the school, the school itself, the teacher, the classes, the schedule, and many more important detail. But after a huge part of her explanation, one of the students, Hanabi, spoke up.
"Excuse me Ms. Nekonome, I have a question!" Hanabi asked.
"Yes, of course, you can," Ms. Nekonome said.
"We have an empty chair in this class, are we still missing a student?" Hanabi asked.
Suddenly, Moka spoke up to the girl. "Yes, as the matter of fact, we are missing someone. Gohan, but he is running late," Moka explained.
Ms. Nekonome puts her hand on her mouth. "Oh my, I didn't think I had to get to this so fast," Ms. Nekonome said as she then went to her desk and grabbed something in between her stuff.
"Class, as you all know, we are indeed missing a student, and yes, his name is indeed Gohan," Ms. Nekonome explained as she then continued but with a worried expression. "You see, the thing is…" she spoke when suddenly the door opened.
The entire class looked at the door opening, Moka especially since she was curious about why Gohan was so late. However, the one standing in the door opening wasn't Gohan at all, it was an unknown student who looked around the class.
"Is this Ms. Nekonome's homeroom? I seem to be a little lost," the boy asked.
"I am Ms. Nekonome, who might you be?" Ms. Nekonome asked.
"Oh great, then I am at the right place. I am a new student at Yokai Academy, my name is Shishio Date, but you can just call me Date. I am your new student," Date spoke.
"Ooh Shishio Date, yes I am well aware, no problem, I can understand that this school might seem confusing to you. Go ahead and take a seat at that desk behind Moka, then we can start," Ms. Nekonome said.
Date walked through class and went right to his seat, sitting behind Moka.
"I think you are making a mistake Ms. Nekonome," Moka told her off.
"Moka, I'm very sorry, but that is indeed Date's desk… because…" Ms. Nekonome said depressed and saddened. "Because Gohan is no longer a student at Yokai Academy," Ms. Nekonome told the class.
"What!" Akasha, Kurumu, Mizore and Yukari shouted.
The entire group got extremely shocked, except for Tsukune who only closed his eyes and downed his head and Moka who only widened her eyes and didn't know what to say.
"This has got to be a mistake, Gohan left Yokai Academy?! I don't believe it!" Kurumu said when she angrily stood up from her chair and banged her desk
"He would never leave us like that, he is just late, I swear he is!" Yukari shouted.
Meanwhile, Ms, Nekonome went to the tv and stood next to it.
"I am sorry everyone, but this is the truth. I wanted to show you this later, but then we had more things to discuss," Ms. Nekonome said when she showed a cd. "This video is from Gohan, he sent it last week to the school board and asked us in a letter to show it to the class. He goes into detail on why he is not going to attend Yokai Academy anymore," Ms. Nekonome said when she put the disk inside cd player.
When the tv turned on, Gohan was sitting in a chair as he was filming himself in his room. While wearing glasses and formal clothes, he was on screen. Moka looked at the video and noticed something very odd. The clothes Gohan wore were the same clothes he wore when she was with him in Satan city. Still, Moka kept quiet about everything and listened.
The video finally played.
"Hello everyone at Yokai Academy, it's uuhh… me, Gohan. I know this might seem weird to you, but I thought this was the best way to explain everything to you, in my own words. With this video, I want to explain, that…" Gohan said when he paused for a while and closed his eyes. "Starting this new school year, I will not be attending Yokai Academy anymore. My absence from school has nothing to do with any of you, I like every one of my classmates. The reason I am not going to Yokai Academy anymore is that my mother signed me up for special education, in her words of course. My mother thinks that Orange Start High School is a much better option to exploit my new future. Therefore, she found Yokai Academy did not fit with my future job. I had no word about this, I have to follow my mother's decision, and I cannot change that. So, I made this video to tell you all goodbye. To every one of you, thank you very much for an amazing experience, my first school experience at that. And a special message too, Tsukune, Akasha, Kurumu, Mizore, and Yukari, thank you for being the best friends I could have. I will miss you guys so much, especially the fun we all had together, I will never forget that. Last but not, I want to say Goodbye to you Moka. The time I spend with you, was the best time I had in a very long time, and I will always appreciate your visit to my hometown. I couldn't wish for anything better, than being with you. I am sorry I couldn't tell you when we were together, but knowing this in school, would mean that you all enjoyed your summer. Unfortunately, you have to experience the entire schoolyear without me. That was it, I hope I made myself clear. Goodbye, everyone, I will miss you all," Gohan said when he ended the video with a genuine smile and a wave goodbye.
The class was in distress, knowing that one of their friends, Gohan was gone forever. Date spoke up to Gohan's video.
"Wow, to say goodbye like that. Oh well…" Date said when he shook his head.
"Yes class, that is all. Gohan will not return, so we have to continue without him, how hard it might be," Ms. Nekonome said when she turns the tv off.
Akasha looked down for a moment, then at Tsukune on her left side, and noticed that the boy was in anguish.
"Tsukune, tell me something…" Akasha said as the others in her group listened carefully. "Did you know Gohan wasn't coming back to Yokai Academy anymore?" Akasha asked.
Tsukune opened his eyes and slowly looked at akasha, with a slight nod, he answered. "Yes, before last year ended, he told me about his situation," Tsukune answered.
Then, something happened inside the classroom. Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, Tsukune, and Akasha were all blown away by a huge amount of energy release from behind. When they all looked behind, they noticed that Moka's desk was broken in half, and the vampire stood up from her chair, which broke in half a second later. Her energy was rising more and more. Moka walked through class and immediately went to Ms. Nekonome's desk. She grabbed a hall pass without even talking to the teacher and walked out of the classroom, slamming the door so hard, it created cracks around the wall.
"Oh my, it seems like Moka couldn't take the news that well," Ms. Nekonome said worriedly.
"Moka…" Akasha said as she walked over to Ms. . "Ms. Nekonome, can I have a hall pass please?" Akasha asked.
"I am sorry Akasha, I would give you a hall pass, but I think it's best to let Moka be alone for now. She seems upset when I looked at her. Let us give her some time for herself, maybe Moka will feel much better," Ms. Nekonome explained.
"I understand," Akasha said when she went back to her desk and sat down again.
Class cThe classed just like before. Meanwhile, Moka was angry, showing more anger than ever before, and yet also, very sad. She only kept staring straight forward towards the exit of Yokai Academy. On her way out, Keito was patrolling the hall, when she noticed Moka walking.
"Moka, this is protocol, do you have a…" Keito said when Moka slammed her hall pass right into Keito's face. "Ouch, hey what the…" Keito shouted as Moka immediately put the hall pass in the pocket of her jacket again.
She completely ignored the new leader of the Security Committee and opened the doors.
"Hmph, she seems much angrier than she usually is, but she has a hall pass so that is fine by me," Keito said as she walked away again.
Moka walked outside at the schoolyard and went right towards the gate. Moka kept looking at the path that led to Yokai Academy, seeing it being abandoned by everyone else. No one was there. Moka's anger grew greater and greater the seconds she kept watching the path.
"Gohan…" Moka mumbled.
"He is gone, he just left… without saying anything to me. He abandoned me… Gohan you… idiot!" Moka said infuriated when she puts her head down.
Back in Ms. Nekonome's classroom, Tsukune looked outside of the window and noticed Moka standing in front of the gate. He kept watching her.
"She must be really upset," Tsukune said as she then thought to himself. "I am very sorry Moka, but I couldn't tell you the truth, I had to let Gohan do it himself, or else it would have been much worse. I hope she can forgive me for this," Tsukune thought depressed.
Outside, Moka then puts her head up, Tsukune noticed the vampire, re and then, Moka exited school property and left Yokai Academy, where she would go, he didn't know, but he felt like it was all his fault for what happened to her.
439 Mountain Area District, Several Hours Ago
Gohan, back in his house in the mountain area, Gohan slowly woke up from his sleep. He sat down in his bed and deeply yawned. Scratching his eyes, Gohan stood up from his bed. Then, someone knocked on his door.
"Gohan, wake up, time for your first day at Orange Star High School," Chichi called him out.
"I'll be right there mom," Gohan said when he prepared himself.
Taking a shower, brushing his teeth, and putting on his clothes, Gohan prepared himself for his first day at another school than Yokai Academy.
When he finished, Gohan went to the living room and sat down with his mother and his little brother, having breakfast.
"Gohan, do you have everything ready for school?" Chichi asked.
"Yes mom, I have everything, I packed all my books and my other stuff. I am fully prepared," Gohan replied.
"Gohan, are you nervous about your new school?" Goten asked nicely.
"A little bit Goten, I have to get used to everything again," Gohan replied.
"Gohan, I know you still miss your old school, but I did this for your good. You can build up a much more stable future for yourself," Chichi told him strictly.
"I know mom," Gohan said when he grabbed his breakfast. "Well, it is time for me to go to school, I don't want to get late. Bye!" Gohan said when he stood up from his chair and quickly left the house.
Once outside, Gohan called out to Nimbus, to take him to school in Satan City. While traveling on the Nimbus cloud, Gohan was just sitting, thinking about his new school.
"I wonder how this is going to be like. This is the first time I am getting transferred, and I bet that my classmates are all human this time. This means if they know my true strength, that will make me the freak. I have to hold back my strength, or else, I'm in big trouble," Gohan thought to himself out loud.
"Then again, I wonder how the others are doing at Yokai Academy. I hope they won't miss me that much; I did the best I could to make sure they can still have fun," Gohan said worriedly.
He then went inside his schoolbag and grabbed something out of it. It was a picture of himself and Moka when they were still in school. He kept looking at the picture.
"I am glad Moka gave me this picture of us, that was nice of her. I wonder how she is doing right now," Gohan asked when he puts his hand on his chin, thinking to himself.
Bus stop towards the Human World
Moka was at the bus stop and decided to sit at the same edge where she met with Gohan before the end of the last school year. She looked over at the red-tinted sea and only thought to herself. She has been sitting there for several hours now, without contacting anyone.
"Why didn't he tell me that he wouldn't come back? Doesn't he trust me?" Moka asked herself. "Does he see me as some type of fool who gets agitated over bad news that easily?" she continued.
"Moka, you know that is not true," someone told her.
Moka didn't turn around, but she recognized the voices immediately.
"Leave me be, I want to be alone for now," Moka told the voices.
Tsukune and Akasha were standing right behind her, not getting too close to give Moka her space.
"Moka, that is not the reason Gohan didn't tell you, you know better than that," Tsukune told her.
"I should break you in half right now Tsukune, for keeping such a thing from me. You knew all this time, and you never even told me!" Moka told him.
"Because Gohan told me not to tell you. Trust me when I say this Moka, Gohan was devastated when he received the news. He knew that if he told you right away, you would have been devastated as well. He didn't want you to worry about him and have fun for as long as possible. He cares about you, and he cares for your well-being," Tsukune told her.
"Moka please, come back to school with us, we can't handle the fact that you want to be all alone again like you are…" Akasha said when she closed her eyes. "Like you trapped yourself inside the Rosarie, but this time, willingly," Akasha told her.
Moka puts her head up and finally turned around to the two, starring angrily at the two.
"Maybe I should have stayed sealed away than going through all of this mess again! You two don't get it, do you!? Gohan didn't trust me enough to tell me himself, he never did!" Moka told them as Tsukune and Akasha looked at each other.
"Moka, don't forget, at first, you pretended to hang out with Gohan just to beat him in a fight again," Akasha told her.
"Exactly, and I tried to make up for my mistakes by proving that he really can trust me. I started to see him as my friend, my… partner. I thought he trusted me, I stood up for him, cared for him, almost died for him, but he still didn't trust me enough to tell me face-to-face that he is not coming back again!" Moka told them infuriated when she slowly walked over to the pair.
"I am done with it, and I do not want to think about this whole debacle again to spare myself the trouble. At this point, I would have been better off inside the Rosarie," Moka told them when she walked right past them.
"Wait, Moka, where are you going?" Tsukune asked.
"Away from this place, it makes reminding me of him too easily, which I want to avoid," Moka told them when she went right on the path again to return to school.
Tsukune and Akasha looked at each other.
"Akasha, I think it's best to keep a close eye on Moka, she said she didn't want to talk about it anymore, but we have to show her that she can trust us, and prove that we are her friends as well," Tsukune asked of her.
"You are right, I have never seen her like this before. You know, Moka always told me that she saw Gohan as a really good friend and potential partner. But when we went to Yokai Academy today, she told me that she sees Gohan as her partner. For vampires, that is something very special, that is a sign of giving your life for that one person. Knowing that someone you care about doesn't return, hurts a lot, especially for Moka, who has never cared for connections before," Akasha explained.
"Right now, we have to give Moka her space, but keep a close eye on her when we need to. We don't want anything bad to happens to her," Tsukune said.
Tsukune and Akasha returned to Yokai Academy. Meanwhile, Moka was walking on her own with angon in her face.
Satan City
Gohan just stepped off of the flying Nimbus cloud, as he arrived in Satan City. Gohan looked around the city.
"I am finally here, and I even got time to spare," Gohan said when he looked at the Nimbus Cloud flying away. "Bye Nimbus! Thanks for the ride!" Gohan shouted when he waved it goodbye.
As Moka was walking through the forest back to school enraged, Gohan walked to school with a nonchalant expression on his face.
Seeing the building in his sight, Gohan kept walking. "That must be Orange Star High School," Gohan said when he continued walking towards the school.
Several minutes of walking later, Gohan stood right in front of the school. Seeing many students walk past him, Gohan only kept looking at the building. "Wow, I must admit, this school looks pretty neat," Gohan said.
Finally, the first school bell rang, and the students all entered the school, Gohan noticed that everyone went inside and followed. When Gohan approached the door, three students were in front of the entrance. Videl, Eresa, and Sharpner were right at the front
"Looks like the bell rang, I am so not ready for another school year, what about you two?" Sharpner asked annoyed out of his mind.
"Stop complaining Sharpner, it will be the same as last year," Videl replied.
"Come on guys, lighten up, maybe we will find some more fun new students in class, who knows?" Eresa told them.
"Hehe, maybe another bookworm," Sharpner said.
"Yeah, sounds fun," Videl sounded uninterested.
Then suddenly, Gohan walked right towards them.
"Hello," Gohan said nicely when he waved at them.
He then opened the entrance of the school and walked right in as if he saw them for the first time.
"Hey…" Videl answered.
"Hi…" Eresa said nicely back. "He seems like a nice guy, doesn't he?" she asked right after.
"Anyways, as I said, this year will be… uuhh…" Sharpner said when he suddenly got all quiet and looked back inside the school.
He looked at Gohan right inside. "Videl, Eresa, that… guy that just said hello, didn't he seem kind of familiar to you?" Sharpner asked.
"Why? What is it Sharpner?" Videl asked.
"I think my mind must be fading, but that guy, isn't he that one guy we met during summer? Remember with the silver-haired girl?" Sharpner asked.
"What? You mean…" Videl said shockingly when she opened the door and looked inside the school.
She looked around and finally in the distance, she saw the one that walked past them, it was indeed Gohan.
"It's him, it's that guy… Gohan!" Videl said surprised.
"It's Gohan! Wait, so he is a new student here?" Eresa asked.
"There is only one way of finding that out," Videl said when she, Eresa, and Sharpner went inside the building.
Gohan looked around to see which way he had to go. "Where is my classroom, I just can't seem to find it," he said confused.
"Hey, you!" Videl called him out.
Gohan turned around and saw Videl, Eresa, and Sharpner standing. "Oh, hello again… wait, I know you three!" Gohan said shockingly.
"You just walked past us like you didn't know us already. You are Gohan right?" Videl asked.
"Yes, and you are Videl," Gohan said as he then looked at the others. "And… Eresa… and Sharpner! I recognize you again. My bad hehe, I kind of got caught up in my thoughts…" Gohan said while laughing.
"What are you doing here? Are you a new student?" Sharpner asked.
"Yeah, I just transferred from my old school," Gohan replied.
"You transferred?" Videl asked.
"Yeah, maybe you can help me out. Where is this classroom? I can't find it hehe…" Gohan said while laughing as he showed them his information form.
"Hmm… Videl, that is also our class," Sharpner told her.
"Looks like we are all in the same class Gohan, you might as well follow us," Videl told the boy.
"Great, thanks for the help, you guys!" Gohan said in gratitude.
And thus, Videl, Eresa, Sharpner, and Gohan all walked towards their designated classroom. On the way, Videl noticed something different.
"Gohan, what happened to that girl with the silver hair you were with? Wasn't here name… Moka?" Videl asked.
Gohan looked at Videl, then straight forward again while looking worried. "Yes. Because I transferred, she stayed behind at my old school with the rest of my friends. All I hope is that she is doing fine without me," Gohan told her.
"Oh, I see, touchy subject," Videl said.
Gohan kept watching forward with his eyebrows down, hoping that Moka is doing fine without him.
Yokai Academy inside the building
After the introduction classes were over for the Yokai Students, there were no classes, only the entrance ceremony which was for the new students to get more information on the school and the teachers.
Once the classes were all dismissed, the students were all outside on the schoolyard, waiting until the entrance ceremony started. Tsukune, Akasha, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore were back in the newspaper club. Ginei Morioka started the meeting.
"Welcome back newspaper club, I hope you all enjoyed your summer vacation?" Ginei asked nicely.
"Yeah of course Ginei," Tsukune replied.
"Did you have a nice vacation as well?" Yukari asked nicely.
"Yeah of course, just relaxing and sitting at the beach… after… finishing summer school, so I only had 1 week of vacation!" Ginei said saddened.
The entire club was sighing from Ginei's depression. "Well, maybe next time better Ginei," Akasha said.
"Alright, enough sobbing, you guys, we have a very important task from the principal," Ginei said.
"Really? We do?" Kurumu asked.
"Yes, he came to me, that is why we have this meeting right now," Ginei told them.
"Word on campus is that there is a troublemaker on Yokai Academy, she is causing chaos around the campus and most of the students are afraid of him or her. We are going to find her and find out why that troublemaker is doing all of this," Ginei explained.
"Are there any clues we can use? Maybe we can ask the students who this girl is?" Akasha asked.
"Yes, that is a great idea Akasha, get onto it Newspaper Club members, we will begin the school year with a great scoop!" Ginei told them confidently.
"Hey, you guys, don't we have the assembly in like 30 minutes? We can prepare and ask the students there, we can talk to more people, right?" Tsukune asked.
"Yes, that is a great idea Tsukune, we can reach more people that way," Akasha said.
"Wait, Akasha, why don't you take a look at how Moka is doing? We can meet you two at the assembly," Kurumu told her.
"Yes, I still have to see if she is doing alright," Akasha said when she puts her hand on her chin. "I'll go check up on her now, I will see you all later," Akasha said as she left the room immediately to go and find Moka.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Newspaper club went out towards the assembly to hear from the rest of the teachers how the schoolyear will continue. When the time was right, they would ask numerous students who fell victim to the girl.
Recess on the Schoolyard
Moka was on the grass field, all alone, thinking about the recent situations. She kept thinking to herself why Gohan never told her and thought about the last time they were together.
"I really should let this go, definitely not the best idea to go to Gohan's most favorite place on campus. I just can't seem to understand why he didn't tell me that time," Moka thought to herself.
She then shook her head, trying to focus on something different. "I have to keep that stuff out of my head, it is distracting me too much," Moka said annoyed.
While she was still laying down, she noticed a shadow that blocked her view. Date decided to visit Moka.
"Hey Moka, are you feeling much better? You seem upset," Date asked of her.
"What gave you that idea? Leave me alone, I don't need anyone's company, especially not yours," Moka told him off.
Date only looked around and scratched his head, he decided to sit down, but several meters away from Moka. The vampire looked on her right side and saw Date sitting on the ground. "If you have a Deathwish, by all means, stay here for 30 seconds longer," she threatened the boy.
"Moka, I asked around a bit, and I knew that Yokai Academy had several powerful monsters attending. I heard about last year and everything you went through," Date explained.
"So what?" Moka asked while avoiding eye contact.
"That guy, Gohan, he must have been a nice guy. I heard some stories from Keito, she seemed the right person to ask. What exactly is your relationship with Gohan? Is he your boyfriend or something?" Date asked.
"25… 26… 27…" Moka only counted down.
However, Date wasn't intimidated by her at all, he stayed focused and relaxed. "Moka, l will leave, but can I just say one more thing?" Date asked.
Moka only deeply sighs.
"If Gohan cared about you like how you care for him, he would have told you he wouldn't come back. I only came to you because I wanted you to forget about him. He is gone, but if you want, I can help you with your pain." Date said when he then stood up and dusts his pants and green vest off. "But I will leave you alone, maybe then you will feel better sooner or later," Date said when he walked away from the field and left the vampire.
Moka only opened her eyes and looked at Date walking away. She only downed her eyebrows and closed her eyes. "As if I need anyone, I am better off on my own, that was the best decision yet," she commented.
Several seconds later, another shadow blocked Moka's view as she got really irritated.
"I thought I told you to leave me alone!" Moka told the unknown person who approached her.
Akasha got shocked by her reaction. "Oh, I am sorry, I… didn't mean…" Akasha replied.
Moka opened her eyes and saw Akasha standing, she sighs and decided to sit. "Oh, it's just you, I thought you were someone else," Moka said.
"Oh, was there someone you were talking with?" Akasha asked.
"It was just that new guy, Date. All I wanted was to be alone," Moka explained.
"Date? Why was he here? Did you talk to him?" Akasha asked of her.
"No, he talked, I just wanted him to leave, I don't need anyone's help," Moka said.
"Moka, maybe you should give Date a chance, he sounds like a very nice guy that only wants to help you out. His first introduction was that you angrily stormed out. He must have felt sorry for you," Akasha told her.
"No, and why are you really here Akasha?" Moka asked, avoiding the obvious situation.
"I came to get you because we have the assembly in the gym in 10 minutes, and it is mandatory, so all the students must attend.
"Oh that, fine…" Moka said when she slowly stood up off the ground and stretched her arms, then her legs, and walked over to Akasha. "Then let's go, the faster we get there, the sooner I am done," Moka told her.
Moka decided to walk on, Akasha looked next to her and only looked at Moka. She only thought to herself and followed her towards the assembly.
