Chapter 2

"Eeny… meeny… miny… moe!" Tabii's finger had landed on the left-hand path and with that her route was set, her system would have her home in no time… she hoped.

She made her way down the path flanked by rows and rows of trees, the occasional bit of wildlife watching her as she journeyed onward, she looked up at the sky and noticed that the sun was starting to go down.

"Oh shit, oh shit I gotta get back soon" alarm bells were ringing in her head, she really didn't want to be stuck out in the forest alone at night, she could be carried off by a bear or worse a Wood Scout.

She was getting desperate, she had to find a way back and quick. Her mind was racing for ways out of this situation.

"Wait a minute, I can try my badges wi-fi!" She had found a way out! She patted around herself, and her smile dropped "fuck…" mumbled Tabii, she collapsed onto the path in defeat. "Oh, why didn't I just stay back at the Camp?" she whined.

"Now what am I going to do?" She mumbled to herself, and then like a shot inspiration hit her.

Her eye caught a lone squirrel climbing up a tree trunk, "Hey!" she thought "what if I climb up and see where camp is?" Tabii's face morphed into a proud grin "and people say Erin is the smart one!" she giggled.

She gazed up at the tree trunk, it was a lot taller than she expected, this could be difficult. She shrugged this off however, Tabii was resourceful when the situation called for it.

She slowly and carefully made her way up the tree trunk, nearly slipping on the tree bark but always managing to find a foothold. She reached out towards the first branch and her eyes darted open when she realized, she had put her hand directly onto a blob of sap.

"Ew!" Whined Tabii.

Despite this she persevered, and now found herself perched like a bird on the branch, she wiped the sweat off her brow

"I'm totally going to need a shower when I get back." She groaned.

After getting a breather she continued her ascent, after a few near falls and the occasional acorn landing on her head she eventually reached the top, spread before her was a vast sea of trees but with her camp nowhere in sight.

"Oh shit, I'm totally lost. Sasha is never going to let me forget about this…" She cried. "Well, I better get moving, maybe I'll find someone who can help."

She began to descend the tree trunk, making sure she didn't lose her footing, she wasn't keen on falling to her death that day. She got closer and closer to the forest floor and placed her hand on a tree branch, something felt amiss, her eye shot open at the sound of a loud crack, and before she could think she was plummeting to the ground.
