Apparently, I ended up causing such a split in the Halo universe timeline, that when I heeded the calls. I was genuinely surprised to see that the first contact was was not fought against the covenant, instead it was the flood.

Like, that's crazy right? I have no idea what I did exactly, but it ended up having humanity face the threat of the flood way too early. They were congregated on one of humanity's shield worlds, thankfully, not earth. So that meant that I had to jump start the SPARTAN project. Then I did a few more things to ensure that the flood didn't spread its influence farther than that specific planet, mainly by halting the UNSC'S plans of dropping hell jumpers of all things, into the fray.

Which was a very bad idea, mind you. But thankfully they listened and no retaliation was made against the flood, only resorting to having frigates stationed around the planet. Shooting down anything and everything that tried leaving the planets surface.

So with that and a few more little things, I finally left him with the looming threat of the covenant in their heads, and with a snap I was back over HomeWorld.

I didn't really spend much time hovering over the planet, as nothing about it could change unless I made it able to. I took a look at my appearance and quickly snapped again, changing from the UNSC personnel and back into my diamond form.

A sigh was let out of my mouth and I blinked, opening my eyes and finding myself back on the planet. I looked around and reveled in its barren and empty space for a few moments before nodding.

I left the diamonds to mingle with themselves and left white diamond with a pearl, I didn't exactly know when in her life she got the pearl, but I thought that her pearl would've been the oldest. If that makes sense?

Anyways. I felt like this empty space could use some livening up before I pop back in and interact with the diamonds.

I saw that pink diamond had her own garden when I took a moment to watch a few episodes of the show. So maybe I'd start with that, not her garden specifically, but maybe one huge one in general.

Though it was sort of depressing to look back at, since y'know, Spinel was sort of dumped by pink and left for a few thousand years. But I am not going to think about that right now. Simply focusing on this garden and how far my creativity can go when it comes to something original. Since I was just recreating existing properties and rearranging the courses of events that happens during their own separate timelines.

I shook my head fervently after that. I was getting too distracted.

"Alrighty. Let's get started" I said to myself, brushing a few locks of hair out of my sight.

I did a small full body twirl and let out a small breath of air. Closing my eyes briefly before opening them and watching as small vines started from sprouting from the seemingly barren surface. A myriad of different colored flowers of all shapes and sizes started lining the ground in between the vines as they grew further and further out of the ground. I took a step over the starting point of the vines and snapped a finger as I walked over towards a large area being outlined by the newly grown flora. A circular shape being formed and the earth that was once flat started raising up and contorting itself as I dragged my finger upwards.

I stopped my hand and curled in my fingers, causing the earth to flatten and form a rim around the edges. Then I twisted my hand as if I was gripping a door handle and made another pillar form in the middle.

Essentially, I'd made a fountain.

Then for the final touches, I snapped my fingers and the rough earth was immediately molded into a very glossy black texture. I then also snapped once more for the rest of the garden, walls of hedges started forming as an exterior to the vines and I stopped once the whole area was surrounded.

"My minecraft skills really came in handy.." I muttered with a small grin as I continued.

Then I stopped again. Thinking to my brief mention of minecraft and smiled wider.

"I guess it isn't complete without an iron golem" I said, turning my attention to a spot I'd missed and walking towards it. Snapping, I watched as I a gem plopped onto the floor, it was rather large and yellow. Perfect.

I then took a step back and this time made it so the formation time didn't last a few days this time. Making it so the gem shook for a moment before immediately sprouting into the outline of a gem. It morphed and stretched for a few moments before finally forming its features.

She was tall, easily towering over me by a lot, her hair was a lighter shade of yellow in comparison to her body, but was very long and spiky. Her face as round yet had a definition that was evident in her narrowed features.

If you couldn't already tell, she was a jasper. Well, a variant of a jasper. Since I looked at the wiki for Steven universe while I was helping out the halo universe and noticed there were different ranks for jaspers.

I briefly brought my arm up, a small holographic screen forming into existence as I remembered that wiki page. I used a finger to scroll down before landing on what I was referencing.

"A citrine" I nodded before letting the wiki fade out. They were essentially the Roman counterparts of praetorian guards, and if you're not in touch with Roman ranks, that's basically an elite guard.

I know that the roman army was different than the spartan army, but I just like the Spartans a tad bit more than rome.

Nevertheless, everything else started filling out, her bulky arms, legs and the rest of her body. I briefly coughed as I took in the rest of the muscle and definition on her before the uniform materialized onto her.

It wasn't a usual gem outfit, I'd taken liberties from Spartans, from ancient times. The helmet, chest piece, leg pieces and everything was as if she were apart of the spartan army. Minus the black tint to its color palette.

I took a step back once I noticed her amber eyes blinking at her sudden sentience. I let a soft reassuring smile form as I brought both hands together, and approached her.

"Hello!" I started. "I know you may be confused right now, though I assure you I'll answer all your questions!" I reassured, watching as she looked from me to the garden around us before back down to me. Then towards what she was wearing, her arm raising to look at the gauntlet before focusing down at me.

"...uh, what am I?" She started, her voice deep and seemingly layered in honey, yet still with that feminine tone to it.

I ignored my minds idiotic thoughts before continuing, having a list of responses planned in my head.

"That's simple! You're a citrine" I briefly answered.

She tilted her head in confusion "a what?"

I acquiesced "a citrine, you're job is to protect your diamond and his garden" with the ever present smile on my face.

She paused and thought about what I told her. Keeping a small aura of silence between us before she responded.

"Then who are you?"

"Black diamond!" I chirped.

"And this is..?" She continued.

"My garden!" I smiled.

She then brought a hand to her chin.

"Im.. confused" she admitted.

I simply gave her an endearing smile and gave her a few more reassuring comments, before outsretching a hand. Making sure to slide my sleeve up so that the small gray limb was visible to her.

"..well, take my hand and you won't be confused anymore" I reassured.

"..how can I.. trust you?" She said with slight apprehension. Which was a good thing, it meant that her gems default personality was there.

I tilted my head and gave her a close eyed smile, subconsciously letting a persuasive effect layer itself onto my words as I opened them once more.

"I am your diamond.. trust me.."

Her eyes flashed and she removed her hand from her chin and brought it down to my own, completely enclosing it with her much larger hand.

An energy coiled itself around my arm for a moment, a vibrant purple in color as it snaked up my own before coiling itself around her arm. The energy then dispersing itself around her body before being absorbed into it.

Her eye briefly glowed purple before I let go of her hand and took a step back as she immediately dropped onto one knee and did the diamond salute to me.

"My diamond..my apologies" she said, as if she'd remembered something she'd forgotten.

Which was technically true, since what I did was basically spoon feed her information. It was unlike what I did with the diamonds, I used my experiences with emotions and thoughts, and essentially everything that made me human. Then used it to make her body have that same sort of understanding.

Mind you, I didn't give her any memories, nor did I give her any prior experiences with these emotions. It was essentially like she'd read a book on emotions and social cues. Understanding, yet inexperienced.

I gave an awkward smile at the salute as she stared at me, waving my hands and making sure that she knew that I didn't need all the formalties.

"Your status deserves as much" she simply responded before standing back to her full height. Referencing the information I'd given her on my specific kind of gem, and the spartan honor code I slipped in there.

"Well, then my status also dictates that I can order you to be casual with me" I retorted. Not wanting her to be serious the whole time.

"Very well, my diamond" she said without question. Before turning her attention back towards the garden we were in.

"This is your garden, my diamond?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yup! Beautiful isn't it?"

She stayed silent before walking toward the fountain, her armed shuffling with every step.

I followed her and stood next to her as she peered into her reflection in the water. My own appearing next to hers as I also peered into it, hers looking pensive in comparison of my own.

"Something wrong?" I questioned.

She shook her head before moving away from the fountain, I followed her as she took another look at the garden.

"I guess it is.. beautiful, my diamond" she finally agreed. Making me glance up at her with another smile.

"Had to think about it, huh?" I joked.

"Yeah.." she sheepishly admitted.

I gave citrine the order to stay here and watch over the garden while I went and fetched the other diamonds. She agreed without any complaints and I went on my way, checking everything about the garden before i left.

Satisfied with what I'd done, I turned around and started walking, a stone path forming as I continued towards one if the hedge walls, which then split into an arch as I stepped outside.

I turned around and admired what I'd made, before shaking my head and turning my head and started walking back towards the diamonds. It didn't really take long, since I increased my stepped by a grand margin.

I came to a full stop once I could see whitney's enormous outline in the distance. Making me consider that I'd might of made her a tad bit taller than the show had her.

I could feel a sense of dread coming from her and started closing the distance a bit faster. Finally getting within hearing distance, to hear her muttering about something in a sad tone.

I didn't immediately know what it was, since I decided to mute the all heating powers, as it got annoying hearing absolutely everything in the universe

So I was surprised when I called out to her.

"White?"

Her form silenced immediately before hastily turning towards me, her shifting on her knees shaking the ground beneath me as she looked down at me.

"B-black!" She stuttered out "I-i didn't mean to! I just.. I don't know!"

I tilted my head and looked down at her hands, which were holding something tightly to her chest, as if trying to hide it from me.

"What's in your hands, white?" I calmly asked.

"..I-I!" She failed to find her words, before her head dropped and her giant hands moved towards me. Opening and showing me the contents.

'Well.' I thought in slight surprise at the powdered pearl in her hands.

"What happened?" I simply said.

To be continued.
