First season - episode 6
Erin was sent to NY to work. One day and Jay already texted her, talking about how Ruzek loved to talk and how he already missed his partner, less the part that he was driving. He used the trick of being in the unit longer with Adam too.
Still at the airport, back in Chicago, Erin met Stefany, a high school classmate who asked her to attend her 10-year high school reunion. Erin, all embarrassed, agreed and left.
In District 21
"Hi," she said when she found Jay at the entrance to the police department.
"Good morning" he replied and came in greeting Platt who had no idea until he saw Erin.
"Erin, hi" She said with a smile receiving nothing but a nod from Erin who joined Jay who was intrigued by how the Sergeant only treated Erin well for everyone in the district. Erin didn't even notice, she was thinking about the school meeting when she informed Jay by cutting him off and saying that he would go with her as her fiance. Jay was confused and didn't understand anything, during the day while they worked they discussed how it was going to be, but Erin just talked about what Jay had to do, but Jay didn't understand anything, he just watched and agreed.
While waiting in the car Erin said that everything had happened at the big Mackinac Island hotel, fireworks, candlelight, but she was interrupted by Jay impressed with her and laughing at the situation. She replied "I'm putting colors in our story". Making Jay laugh again. "This is ridiculous," he said after being asked. Erin explained how the ex-adolescent classmates could be, but, cutting the subject and continuing the work.
Jay went home to put the suit on as Erin asked, he wasn't very excited about the situation but that's what the partners are for, right? Not really, but anything for Erin. Erin was standing waiting for him in the parking lot in front of Jay's apartment when she saw him. Holy shit, how hot he looked in that black suit, Erin thought, feeling the temperature rise as she admired Jay. He stopped at the driver's door asking her to lower the window. "If I am your fiance, should I drive? He asked
Jay's scent entered her nostrils when she lowered the glass, she had never been so excited with Jay before, it was the first time that they really got ready after work. She came out of her thoughts and looked at Jay smiling "Get in funny, I'll stop the car at the back corner."
Jay smiled in frustration as he turned around and got into the passenger side again. He forgot his frustration when he hit her eye, she was sitting but that dress caught her curves so well that he had to look forward so as not to be excited to the point that she noticed an increase in his pants. "You look beautiful" he said, still looking out into the street.
"Thank you" she smiled and started the car to High School and complained all the way about everything, even the rain. As soon as they arrived they got out of the car and Jay was after her and can't help but notice her ass. God, she looked so beautiful in that dress. She realized that he looked at her ass but didn't even care because she was tense and nervous, but it was Jay's turn to be tense and nervous and ask a question thinking he wouldn't be convincing, he had never seen Erin Lindsay so nervous and worried about appearance before , it didn't even look the same. It was when they arrived at the corner that Erin saw the women hugging and realized that she was no longer that girl and suddenly that woman who had been talking all day long about the subject just fell silent and stood still "What is it that I am i doing here? "
After a few minutes Erin looked at Jay who was quiet just waiting for her next move. "I'm sorry Jay. I ... I don't ..." Jay interrupted her.
"Okay, do you want to get out of here?" She nodded slightly, almost imperceptibly, and he smiled politely as they walked to a hotel bar they passed while going to the meeting. She was silent until they arrived at the bar, Jay didn't ask anything, he knew she would open up as soon as she felt comfortable. And that's what she did, she started talking to Jay from the archives as an informant, who lived on the street and that Voight and Camille welcomed her, saving her. She told of how she found out who her friends are when they find out that her father is in jail and her mother is an addict. Jay tried to break the tension by asking who she hit first.
In that moment she opened up to Jay as she never opened up before, she was waiting for the moment that he would run away like his ex companions and "friends" did. Great Erin, one more person that you are going to take away from your life because of your past problems. Erin thought quickly.
While Jay absorbed all that he thought my God, how this woman is incredible and strong, she has been through so much and yet here she is staring at life as an excellent detective. He was most admired by her if it was possible.
Jay realized how vulnerable she was and just wanted to be there for her, as a partner, friend, or whatever she needed. And that was when he took her hand, just the handshake and his look was enough for her to know that he would not run away, that he was there for her. They felt something else. "We can't" she replied with a sad tone for having to say that.
"Come, I'm going to take you home" he let go of her hand and stood up, she followed shortly after, stopping in front of him. "Maybe one day" she smiled looking into his eyes.
"Oh, definitely" he returned the smile and hugged her.
She let him drive, but the road was quiet, with no jokes about him driving or anything. The silence was not at all embarrassing they just wanted to be alone with the thoughts of everything that happened. As soon as they arrived at Erin's apartment, they got out and stopped facing each other, Erin was a little nervous so it was Jay who spoke while handing her the car key. "I'm going to order an Uber, go up"
"Are you sure? Don't you want to go up?" She looked at him, her eyes were longing, she wanted to be with him even though they couldn't.
"No" he laughed answering the first question "I want to, but I can't trust that we'll keep it in the professional if I do" the two laughed and Jay kissed Erin on the corner of the mouth, bringing a heat up their bodies.
"Good night" he said walking away
"Good night" Erin said going towards the building's entrance "And Jay ..." She said stopping some time later and he turned to her waiting for what she was going to say. "Thanks for today, you're a gentleman" she looked at him laughing timidly entering her building after he laughed nodded.
After she entered the apartment, still with the thought of Jay and the kiss in the corner of her mouth, feeling the tingling she put her purse and keys on the table when she heard the door. She smiled, she knew it was wrong but she couldn't control it and apparently he didn't either. She went towards the door with a smile, but he went out when he saw Justin terrified entering his apartment.
I'm sorry if it was too long for one chapter, but this was one of my favorite episodes. And your favorite episode? What did you think of Jay in this episode? Comment and vote. I'm loving writing.
