Eyes fluttering open, Christian was slightly taken back by the blue-grey eyes that met him the following morning, more so because they were right in his face. "Hey princess…" He whispered to his daughter before he turned slightly and looked back to Ana who was still fast asleep. Last night when he eventually got back from sorting work out, he and Ana spoke all night. It wasn't even about anything important it was just getting to know one another. Silly trivial facts about one another. They moved to the bedroom so they were closer to Lily-Rose in case she needed them at any point but evidently, they both fell asleep. They were both still on top of the covers.
Glancing to the clock he noticed it was just after six. He remembered Ana saying she would normally wake up around this time before coming in and cuddling with her for another hour or so.
"Whys you in mommy's bed?" Lily-Rose asked looking to her father, clutching her unicorn teddy tightly to her. When he didn't answer right away, she looked him up and down slightly. "Dids you haves a sleepover? Where are you jammies?" She asked him.
Christian couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the questions his daughter was firing at him. Opening his arms out to her he smiled as she happily came to him before he lifted her into bed with them, pressing a soft kiss to her head as she snuggled into him. "I forgot my jammies. Mommy and I were talking all night long and I just fell asleep." He explained to her.
"Oh. Otays." She let a little yawn pass her lips before she wriggled slightly in the bed to get comfy before she closed her eyes once more.
Christian smiled down to her, pressing a kiss to her head he let his own eyes fall to a close as he drifted off to sleep once more. These were moments he could have only dreamt of and now they were becoming a reality. It was something he could get used to.
Feeling someone poking his nose, Christian's eyes slowly opened before smiling as he saw Lily-Rose grinning at him, though Ana was no longer beside him.
"Mommy says I had to gently wakes you up because its time for bweakfast." She happily told him.
"And what is for breakfast?"
"Waffles!" She beamed throwing her hands in the hair. "We always haves them when uncle Lukey has been ons a bensder."
Christian raised an eyebrow. "A bender?"
Lily-Rose nodded. "Yes. His head hurts and mommy says its his faults cause he's been ons a bensder with his fwends."
Christian couldn't help chuckle as he got up. Scooping his daughter up, he rested her on his hip as he headed to the kitchen area. "Morning." He chimed, smirking down to Luke. "Heard you been on a bender." He mused with a chuckle.
Luke groaned as he rested his head on the table. "Kill me now."
"No, I'm giving dad that pleasure when he realises your hungover. Although right now I'm pretty sure you are still drunk."
"I'm not. My head says I'm not." He grumbled not moving his head up.
Christian laughed before he put Lily-Rose down, smiling as she took her seat at the table he then headed over to Ana and smiled pressing a kiss to her cheek. "Morning."
Ana smiled. "Morning. Coffee?"
Christian nodded. "Please. Do you need help with anything?"
"Hang on." Luke cut in as he lifted his head and turned to his sister and eyed them both suspiciously. "He came from your bedroom."
"Well spotted Sherlock, would you like a medal?" Ana asked him sarcastically. "For your information Luke, we talked all night. We were in my bedroom so we were closer to Lily-Rose in case she needed us. We fell asleep. The end."
"Oh, sure this time. But let's be honest…the chemistry between you two right now…well I think wanna hurl."
Ana rolled her eyes as she put the waffles in front of him. "Zip it and eat your breakfast. You need to sort yourself out before we head to dads. My mom is all ready to rip me a new one, if you show up hungover, she will certainly rip you a new one." She mused before she grabbed Lily-Rose's breakfast and put it in front of her. Kissing the top of her head she then grabbed hers and Christian breakfast and made her way over to the table while Christian bought over the coffees. Putting Christian's plate where he was going to sit, she then sat down and looked to Lily-Rose as she tucked into her food. "Nice baby?"
Lily-Rose nodded as she stuffed more waffles in her mouth. "Delicious." She told her mom with a smile.
Ana smiled before smiling to Christian as he bought her tea over. "Thank you." Taking a sip of her tea she then looked to her Lily-Rose. "What outfit are we wearing today then missy?"
Swallowing her food, Lily-Rose thought for a minute. "My yellow dress with the pretty flowers on it." She told her with a nod before she carried on eating.
Ana smiled and nodded before she tucked into her own waffles.
Finishing his food, Luke got to his feet, taking his dishes to the sink he washed up before he stretched a little. "I'm going to have a shower. See if I can wake up."
"Don't take forever." Ana warned him before she then looked to Christian. "Are you sure you want to come today?" She asked him. They had briefly talked about it last night and Christian had reassured Ana he wanted to come but she was letting him have an out if he had changed his mind.
Christian smiled. "Of course I do. Stop worrying, everything is going to be okay." He promised to her with a smile before looking down to Lily-Rose before looking back to Ana. "Is she always this quiet when she's eating?"
Ana laughed and nodded. "Yes. Nothing comes between Lily-Rose and her food." Ana told him with a smile before she looked at Lily-Rose as she pushed her empty plate away. "All done?"
Lily-Rose nodded as she took a sip of her milk. "I's done. Are we going to grandpa's now?" She asked.
Ana shook her head. "Not yet it is a bit early yet. Plus, we aren't even dressed yet."
"Cans I go and colour? I want to do grandpa a new picture for the fridge."
Ana couldn't help but smile. "Of course, you can. You do your picture and then when it's done, Uncle Luke should be out of the shower so we can go and clean up and get ready."
"Otays. Daddy do you wants to come and colour with me?" She asked looking to him. "You can do a picture for your grandpa to." She told him with a grin.
Christian couldn't help but smile as he looked to her. She was to adorable for words and he couldn't wait for Grandpa Theo to meet her. "I'm going to quickly go and shower and then I'll be right back. How about you do extra pictures so I can give them to my mommy and daddy and my grandpa? Is that okay?"
Lily-Rose nodded. "I'm going to loads of pictures for everyone!" She gasped. "Oh gosh I better do ones for Auntie Katie!" She exclaimed before getting down and running to her colouring corner.
Christian laughed and shook his head before he smiled to Ana. "Want me to help clean up?"
Ana shook her head. "No, it's fine honestly. You go do what you need to. I'm going to quickly wash up then get little miss ready." Finishing off her cup of tea she gathered up all the plates and mugs before heading over to the sink and emerging them into the water.
Getting up, Christian headed over to Ana, moving behind her he pressed a soft kiss to her neck. "I won't be long." He promised before he then headed out of the suite and into his own. He had only just left and he was itching to get back already. Elliot would rip him a new one if he knew about this. Call him a pussy and to man up. He couldn't blame him. Both Ana and Lily-Rose had him wrapped around his little finger.
As Christian left, Ana quickly did the dishes while Lily-Rose was occupied. Making sure the kitchen was clean and she was happy she then headed over to her daughter and knelt down beside her. "How we getting on?"
"I dids one picture for Grandpa and Grandma, ones for auntie Katie, ones for daddy's mommy and daddy and daddy's grandma and grandpa and I also dids one for Taylor. I don't wants him to feel left out." She explained to her as she finished off her picture she was working on.
Ana looked to her daughter in awe. She really did have the biggest heart. Kissing her head, she smiled. "Shall we go get ready?"
Nodding, Lily put her crayon down and put all her pictures in a pile. "What will I call daddy's mommy and daddy?" She then asked as they walked to the bathroom.
"Well I'm sure you could call them grandpa and grandma too. I'm sure they won't mind. Or they might like if you called them grammy or grampy. We shall see when we meet them what they want to be called." Ana explained with a smile. Kneeling on the floor she stripped Lily-Rose out of her pyjamas and her pull up before gasping and looking to her daughter proudly. "Baby your pull up is dry! You didn't do any wee wees in the night." She praised kissing her head. "Would you like to try now?"
Lily-Rose nodded as she toddled over to her potty and sat down to do her business.
Ana smiled before she threw her pyjamas in the laundry hamper and the pull up in the bin. She was a proud momma right now.
Getting up from the potty, Lily-Rose looked down before grinning to her mother. "I's did it!" She declared with a grin.
Going over, Ana looked down to the potty and smiled as she passed Lily-Rose some tissue. "Good girl. Now remember to wipe, you don't want to be sore."
Lily-Rose nodded as she took the tissue and wiped herself before throwing it into the potty. "Hands now?" She asked looking to Ana.
Ana grinned. "Good girl for remembering." She smiled and helped her climb up her steps to the sink. She was getting so independent it was making her emotional. Turning on the tap she squirted some soap into her hands and watched as she rubbed her little hands together before quickly going over to empty and clean her potty.
"Finished!" Lily-Rose told her as all the soap washed off and she showed Ana her clean hands.
"Good girl, shall we go and have a shower now?" Ana asked turning the tap off.
"Yes. I don't wants my hair to get wet though." She told her with a frown.
Ana chuckled. "Don't worry we aren't washing your hair today." She smiled and held her hand out for her to take. As she took her hand, Ana helped her down before walking over to their walk-in shower. Stripping off herself she then scooped her daughter up and stepped into the shower and turned on the water, checking the temperature she waited until it was warm enough before stepping under the water, smiling at the squeal that left Lily-Rose's lips.
"It tickles!" She giggled hiding her face in her mother's neck.
Ana smiled and kissed her head as she kept one arm tightly around her while she grabbed the scrunchie with her free hand along with the shower gel. It's surprising how many things you can do one handed when you have a child! Lathering up the scrunchie she then began to wash down Lily-Rose, tickling her now and again, smiling at the little giggles that left her lips. She always found the scrunchie against her skin funny. Putting her down on her feel she grabbed the flannel and then passed it to Lily-Rose to finish cleaning herself while Ana quickly washed herself down. When they both washed, she turned the shower off before stepping out, grabbing Lily-Rose's towel she opened it up, smiling as Lily-Rose walked into her embrace. Wrapping her up she then wrapped her own towel around her as they headed out of the bathroom and into Lily-Rose's bedroom. Grabbing Lily-Rose things she they then headed into her own room so they could finish getting ready. As normal Ana let Lily-Rose roam around her room naked, something she always did after they had a shower so Ana could get ready. Drying herself off she slipped on her underwear before settling on a flowery skirt and a plain white shirt that she tucked in.
"You look pretty mommy." Lily-Rose told her as she came over.
"Thank you, baby." Ana smiled before she then scooped up her daughter and put her on the bed. "Legs in. One at a time." She instructed as she held up her little panties.
Lily-Rose nodded as she held onto Ana slightly as she put her feet into the holes. "Has I got to wear a vest?" Lily-Rose asked looking around.
"Not today it's going to be very warm." Ana told her with a smile as she grabbed her dress. "Arms up." She smiled as Lily-Rose did and she slipped the dress on over her head before doing the little button up at the back. "Now how would you like your hair?"
"Like this?" Lily-Rose asked gesturing to her hair which was in a messy bun from the night before. "My hair gets sticky when I'ms too hot."
Ana nodded as she grabbed Lily-Rose's hairbrush and sat on the bed, tapping her lap so she would sit down. As she did, Ana gently took the bobble out of her hair and gently began to brush her daughter's hair.
"Knock, knock." Came Christian's voice as he lent on the doorframe and watched them.
"Hi daddy!" Lily-Rose beamed as she gave him a little.
"Hey princess. You look very pretty."
"Thank you, daddy. Mommy is doing my hair cause it's going to get hot today. I don't haves to wear a vest either under my dress!"
"I know the weather lady on the telly just told me we are in for a very hot day." He told her with a smile.
"Is Luke alive out there?" Ana asked knowing it was Luke who let him in.
"Just about." Christian told her with a chuckle. "He's hugging a cup of coffee on the sofa."
"Sounds about right." Ana rolled her eyes before she finished Lily-Rose's hair and smiled. "There we go baby."
"Can we be matchy, matchy?" Lily-Rose asked pointing to Ana's own hair.
Ana smiled and nodded. "Course. Hey why don't you tell daddy what happened in the bathroom?" Ana suggested as she got up and headed over to her dresser to do her own hair and make-up.
"I dids a wee wee on the potty and my pull up was dry! I didn't weed all night long!"
"No way, really? Wow you are such a big girl now!" He beamed as he scooped her up as she came bouncing over.
Lily-Rose nodded. "I ams. And I'ves done lots of pictures."
"Yeah? I can't wait to see them." He smiled and moved to sit on the bed, bringing Lily-Rose onto his lap as she happily chatted away to him about the pictures she had done.
"Okay I'm done." Ana smiled as she turned around. She had done her hair in a messy bun like Lily-Rose wanted and put on a small amount of make-up.
"Doesn't mommy look pretty daddy?"
"She looks beautiful." Christian confirmed with a smile as he kept his eyes locked on Ana in front of him.
Ana blushed slightly before looking to her watch at the time before looking to Lily-Rose. "We have a while yet before we have to leave. What would you like to do?" She asked. She always liked to give her daughter choices.
"Cans we watch Beauty and the Beast?" She asked. "I can still colour then if I wants to."
"Course we can. We can teach daddy the songs."
"Yes!" Lily-Rose jumped down before running out of the bedroom and towards the living room. "Uncle Luke we's going to watch Beauty and the Beast and teach my daddy to sing all the songs!" She exclaimed.
Luke groaned hiding his face in the pillow. "Ana." He whined playfully.
Ana smirked hearing her brother before she smiled to Christian. Going over to him she leant down and stole a kiss off him. He was dressed in a pair of white linen shorts and a baby blue shirt and white trainers. He looked amazing.
Happily kissing her back he smiled before getting up. "Come on. Our daughter is waiting." He mused giving her a wink, knowing if they started something, they would be way to eager to finish it and they weren't there yet. They were still trying to take things slow, even though they were both finding that a tad bit difficult. Heading out into the living room he smiled seeing Lily-Rose sat on the sofa with her unicorn teddy hugged to her while Luke was still dying in the corner. "Guess your shower didn't help." Christian chuckled taking a seat next to Lily-Rose. As she climbed on his lap and snuggled into him, he smiled and held her close.
Luke groaned. "No. And now she wants to listen to Disney and to burn my ears."
Ana scoffed. "Go to your room then if it's going to bother you." She chimed. "You know this is her time."
"Party pooper." Luke groaned before he looked to his niece. "Don't I get any movie cuddles anymore?"
Lily-Rose looked to him. "It's my daddy's turn you haves to wait." She told him before she then looked back to the television, her eyes fixated on the film as it began.
Ana bit her lip trying not to laugh before she smirked to her brother. "That told you."
Lily-Rose looked to her dad. "If you gets scared don'ts worries otay? I'll be here." She reassured him with a smile before she looked back to the television.
Christian smiled as he gently squeezed Lily-Rose to him and kissed her head. She was so thoughtful.
Luke pouted before he then snuggled into the side of the couch, his hangover getting worse by the minute. This was going to be a very long day.
"Taylor." Lily-Rose called out to him as they stood in the elevator. She was happily stood between her parents while Luke and Taylor were stood in front of them.
"Yes, Miss Lily-Rose?" Taylor turned to look at her with a soft smile.
"I's dids you a picture." She told him handing him a picture. "I don't wants you to feels left out."
Taylor smiled as he took the picture from her. "Thank you very much Miss Lily-Rose. I'm going to put it on my fridge when I get home, until then I will keep it safe." He promised her with a smile.
Lily-Rose nodded and smiled to him before she clung onto her other pictures tightly.
Christian smiled down to her before he offered her his hand as the doors opened. As she took it, he smiled as he guided her to the SUV. Helping her into the back into her car seat that he had gotten her before climbing in the back with Ana while Luke got in the front with Taylor.
As they made the drive to Ana's parent's house, he couldn't help but smile as Lily-Rose chatted away the whole journey.
When they pulled up outside the house, he helped Ana get out of the car before he moved around and helped Lily-Rose out of the car before walking up the pathway to the house.
"Gwandpa! Gwandma! I's here!" Lily-Rose shouted as she pushed the door open and just walked into the house.
"Oh, there's my little princess." Came a woman Christian guessed to be Ana's mother came rushing into the corridor and scooped up Lily-Rose and smothered her in kisses, receiving a squeal and a giggle from Lily-Rose.
"Gwandma look! It's my daddy!" She told her pointing to Christian. "And I dids you a picture for the fwidge." She told her handing her, her picture. "Ands I's done one for auntie Katie and Gwandpa."
"Thank you, princess." She smiled before she looked to Christian. "Daddy." She mused to him.
Ana couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Mom this is Christian, Christian this is my mom, Carla." She introduced.
"Nice to meet you." Christian smiled offering her his hand.
Carla smiled shaking his hand. "Nice to finally meet you."
"Mom." Ana warned looking to her.
Luke couldn't help but laugh before he smiled and kissed Carla's cheek. "Hey Carla." He greeted before heading to find his father.
"Hello handsome." She beamed to him. Luke might not be her own son but Carla never treated him any different. As soon as Luke came, he was welcomed by everyone in the family including herself. She never had any ill feeling towards Luke. What Ray got up to before they met was none of her business and she loved how protective Luke was of Ana and Lily-Rose.
"Where's Gwandpa?" Lily-Rose asked before she glanced around and looked to her father. "Daddy, where's Taylor?"
"Grandpa is in the garden. He's putting your pool up." Carla told her before frowning. "Who's Taylor?"
"Taylor looks after my daddy like Uncle Lukey looks after me." Lily-Rose happily told her.
"A bodyguard?" Carla asked raising her eyebrow. "Well he's more than welcome to come in. I don't want him to be stuck out there all day."
Lily-Rose nodded before wiggling out of her arms and running to the front door. "TAYLOR!" She shouted. "MY GWANDA SAYS YOUS TO COME IN!" She shouted before she ran down the corridor and to the garden. "Gwandpa I's here!" She chimed.
Carla couldn't help but laugh at her granddaughter before she smiled to Christian. "Honestly. He can come in. If he would be more comfortable, he can go in Ray's office, but today is about family and he's clearly and important person in your life so he's more than welcome to join in." She smiled to him.
Christian smiled and nodded. "Thank you. That's very kind of you." He mused before he stepped aside and went to speak to Taylor.
"Well…he seems lovely!" Carla beamed to Ana. "And so handsome! No wonder my grandbaby is so beautiful. Between the two of you, she's hit the genes lottery!"
"Please don't say anything embarrassing today mom." Ana groaned looking to her. "Christian and I are taking things slowly for Lily-Rose's sake. She absolutely adores him and the last thing we want to happen is for something bad to happen between us and Lily-Rose getting caught in the middle. We've got to put her first."
Carla smiled and nodded. "I understand, Ana. Honestly, I do. It's just…well I can't help but be hopeful that you two will get together. You make a beautiful couple."
Ana smiled. "One day at a time okay mom?" She smiled to her before looking up as Christian came over with Taylor.
"Taylor this is Ana's mother, Carla Steele, Mrs Steele this is Jason Taylor, my personal protection officer."
"Pleasure to meet you." Carla greeted.
"Likewise, Mrs Steele. And thank you for inviting me in. That's very kind of you."
"Oh nonsense! The more the merrier! I love having people over. And please call me Carla. My home is your home so please both of you make yourself at home. If you need anything just give me a shout." She happily told him. "I'm going to check on the pie." She informed them before heading off to the kitchen.
Ana smiled to Taylor. "Honestly make yourself at home." She looked to Christian as she heard Lily-Rose squealing. "I'm going to make sure she behaving." She chuckled and kissed his cheek before heading out to the garden.
Christian smiled to Ana before looking to Taylor. "Do whatever you feel comfortable with. We are going to be here the majority of the day." He shrugged and smiled before heading out to find his girls. Normally he would have Taylor under strict instructions but I think it was safe to say that Lily-Rose and Ana had turned him into a right softy.
Going into the garden he greeted Ray before he took a seat next to Ana, just taking in how peaceful everything was right now. Thanking Carla as she handed him a beet he then watched as Ray was now cleaning the barbeque now that Lily-Rose's pool was ready and Luke was currently sat in said pool while Lily-Rose stood at the edge flicking water at him, giggling as she did.
"You okay?" Ana asked bringing Christian out of his thoughts.
Looking to Ana he smiled and nodded. "Just…enjoying this moment. The last couple of years my life has been chaos…and now I just feel a sense of…peace. I'm just looking forward to more and more days with you and Lily-Rose. Getting to know you both…it's been a blessing."
Ana looked to him in awe before she lent over and kissed his cheek. "And we are not going anywhere." She promised with a smile to him.
Christian smiled to her before he took a swig of his beer, moving his hand to Ana's he interlocked their fingers and gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
"I'm home!" Came Kate's voice.
"Brace yourself." Ana warned Christian with a smile before she looked up as Kate came into view. Lily-Rose climbing onto Christian's lap as she snuggled into him, clearly starting to feel a little tired.
"Everyone…." Kate began with a smile. "I want you to meet someone." She pulled a guy to her side and smiled. "Meet my new husband, this is Elliot!"
"Hey everyone." Elliot greeted before his eyes fell on Christian, his eyes instantly widening as he saw him. "Bro! What the hell are you doing here?"
Christian looked to him speechless. How was this evening happening right now? How the hell did Elliot end up marrying his daughter's mother's sister?!
